They have done work on our 1969 VW Beetle. They are very knowledgable and willing to take time talk and explain issues. Tom, Phil and Pat are good guys and do Great work!
We were out of state when car started a rattling sound, it was final hour in the weekend. Phil and his staff answered the call and agreed to help. They found the problem quickly, re-attached the lose part and sent us safely on the road. It was a wonderful act of kindness that will earn your trust and gratitude for years to come.
Broke down driving home from vacation and Phil had me back running and on the road in under an hour. He even ordered the parts before the tow truck brought me there to expedite the process. I highly recommend this place.
Kind caring and helpful people. Went above and beyond and would highly recommend for automotive needs. They treat you like family
NOT NICE WHAT BUSINESS TURNS AWAY A PAYING CUSTOMER. NEEDED AN INSPECTION BUT BECAUSE HE DIDNT KNOW US GE TURNED US AWAY. NEVER HEARD OF SUCH A THING. NO THANK YOU FOR PHILS. MINUS -------ZERO STARS-
These guys are the best... Phil, Pat and Tom know their stuff! We have used them for about ten years to work on our Porsche, Acura, Toyota and Honda. They can work on new and old stuff... They are experts in all things mechanical. They have handled everything from from tires, inspections and general repairs to swapping out the engine of our Acura. You can count on them to do the job properly and to do exactly what needs to be done without getting fleeced!
They’ve been great to me. They are one of a very few independent shops that can handle the electronics on modern cars — they took care of some mysterious stuff on a German car I had, which had a notoriously complex electrical system. They nailed an emissions system problem on my Japanese minivan, so the check engine light never comes back on. (Another reviewer said they can’t handle electronic stuff. That hasn’t been my experience.)Whenever I go to pick the car up, they give me a huge, thorough explanation of what they did and why and what they observed.More than once, I’ve seen quarter-million-dollar collector cars there for restoration and rebuild. There are ALWAYS Porsches parked out front. This is where the big boys take their most precious toys. And yet, they treat me nicely when I show up with a 10-year-old econobox. They aren’t the cheapest, but they are painstaking. They take cash or check.
They are nice guys but they dont have any new equipment to diagnose problems. They do better work if that doesnt involve lot of electronic stuff. You can really trust them for their work. Also, remember they accept only cash as payment.I certainly recommend them to my friends
Took my classic car there to have it given a once over as I just bought the car off eBay. Watched as the owner gave the keys to his son and take it for a test drive. Expecting maybe $100 for labor, I was charged over $300 to fix my starter. Ok, maybe it was malfunctioning and they solved an issue. Paid them in cash and left.Leave the garage and my car will not shift out of 1st (GM TH-400 automatic). Promptly return and tell the owner what is happening. Asked if his kid driving did anything. Owner YELLS at me and gives me grief for accusing his shop of ruining my transmission.Drive the car there and transmission shifted fine, left a week later and only 1st gear.Maybe they treat their friends and long time customers better?
Phil KNOWS whats wrong with your car !! Over 30 years !!
Best in town,
