The gym itself is good. the facility is clean, there is variety in the equipment, and the classes are good. It would be nice if some of the classes were available after 5 PM for those who work full time. However the staff is the absolute WORST. I have never received worst customer service in my life than at this gym. The employees are never able to answer questions, don’t answer the phone and when they do, put you on hold for 5+ minutes. The only reason i haven’t cancelled my membership is because I enjoy their cycling classes.
Tru Fit is the worse when it comes to customer service. I turned in a police report 3 weeks ago. I still yet have had my membership canceled. I call and the manager never ever calls me back. Called over five times. As I am writing this review… they have me on hold Sep 30 at 830 am. No excuse at all but now I understand why they change managers every 6 mths.
If you go here don’t get a personal Trainner! They are horrible with their billing. They charge you more times then they say they are going to.If your training membership is up, don’t renewal without reading the fine print! They will still charge you even after it is done. I tried calling the gym and billing department to find out why and how to stop it and all they tell you is we will call you back and never do! The new head training lady of the department needs to learn how to talk to people. She is rude as hell!If I could get out of my contract I would pay my $360 month training fee elsewhere.
This gym is extremely hot! No air conditioning with outside temperatures over 100 degrees, it’s impossible to workout like this, they have a sign saying that because of the air conditioning situation “workout at your own risk” like if they were doing us a favor and we didn’t pay them every month. Floors are nasty. We should get a refund since we can’t workout because of the extreme heat inside. This place is so sketchy.
This gym could potentially be one of the best out city has if it wasn’t by the Poot management running it.The AC not working in triple digit weather is insane. The customer service girls answering are rude the few times they even answer the phone. They take your money even after you have submitted a written cancellation per their gym membership “guidelines.” I have submitted a written notice since May, I figured with the Poor management they have they would need a couple months. It has now been almost four months after and they still are charging me. Every time I call or go they can’t see me or take my calls. Very unprofessional do not get a membership and save your money for a real gym.
Signed up for a free 5 day trial specifically for the El Paso Sunland Park location. When I got there they took my ID and let me work out. When I went to get my ID before leaving they informed me that this location doesn’t do the 5 day trial and I either need to sign up for a membership to come back or pay $15 per day pass. This is super shady! If they can’t even honor their 5 day trial pass I can’t imagine what they do to you once you sign a contract. I had a good workout and thought the facility was really nice. I was seriously considering switching over my whole family to this gym, but this whole 5 day pass has left a bad taste in my mouth. Makes it seem like they are hiding something. I would avoid this place.
This gym is by far the worst I’ve been too. How can you not have AC? The General Manager and the sales are awful. They play around, cuss, and talk nothing about the gym. Girls, there life. I don’t want to hear that. And by the way, Quinton. You have a wife. Stop trying flirt with me and other girls while we are working out. Fix this!!!!!
DO NOT SIGN UP WITH THIS GYM! ITS A SCAM!! I ended my membership because I am moving to a new state and they kept charging me. I visited the gym to try and resolve the issue and all they said is that they would follow up and make sure my membership is cancelled and I would get a refund. They never resolved the issue. I am going to have to cancel my bank account in order for them to stop taking my money. This place is money hungry and they would do anything for money. They do not care about your actual well being. PLEASE DO NOT SIGN UP.Update August 2021: It has been 3 months since I terminated my membership and after getting the district manager involved and him even saying it has been resolved, I still got charged this month. I called my bank and blocked their payments. I am also switching banks because of these people. Never do business with these thieves.
Overall great experience. First time signing up to a gym so I was really nervous, this young lady called kika gave me a tour of the gym and explained the many classes this gym has to offer and personal training options. I had to sign up after comparing a few other gyms. So far I have had a great experience so far everyone is very welcoming and helpful.
The only reason why I’m not providing a 5 star is because most of the group classes are early morning during work hours. I wish they had group classes on weekend mornings too or at 7 p.m. Other than that this gym is so amazing! Great prices, clean, spacious, messages, sauna and most importantly for me as a shy lady there is an only lady workout room in case you do not want to workout around a lot of people or in front of guys. They have a lot of classes and it’s so worth the money. It’s like a one stop all classes together. They also have open weights option. Honestly highly recommend it!
I walked into the facility with no intentions of becoming a member, but my fitness consultant Kika gave me a thorough walk through and break down of the facility and it’s amenities and answered all my questions with clarity. There was no way I was leaving that place without becoming a member!The rest of the staff was also very friendly and nice, shout out to Q!
The staff at this gym is extremely unprofessional. They could care less about any concern you have from the point you sign the membership contract. Because they know how impossible it is to cancel the contract they have no incentive to give even a shred of good customer service. The house keeping is so poor. It’s disgusting and unlike anything I’ve ever seen in a gym. The cardio equipment area looks nice until you realize every other machine is either broken or off for some reason. The weight area is too small and packed at peak hours it is almost impossible to get a decent workout in. Don’t make the same mistake I did. Avoid this gym AT ALL COSTS!!
I had a membership and tried to cancel it, brought in a written statement and provided it to thier front desk staff to have my membership canceled. In April. The staff memmber said that they would cancel it but I needed to wait until August for the cancelation to become effective.However this is not the case, it is a headache to cancel your membership. Go to Planet fitness or Epfitness. Better rates, better facilities and better trained staff.
VERY, VERY hot inside this gym. This gym does not have air conditioner. It was unbearably hot, stuffy and humid two months ago when the outside temperature was below 75. NOT to mention the smell circulating around with the fans they brought. Now that the outside temperature is close to 100, inside the gym is not only uncomfortable, but not safe for a workout. Every time I call to ask for a refund the manager is either not there, just stepped out, is out for lunch, or some some other excuse. I have left my phone number and nobody has called me back.It is dirty and there is never soap in the dispensers.The trainers are FANTASTIC though, all of them
Half of the machines upstairs dont work or are constantly being broken. Spray bottles and paper towel dispensers are either empty or have fallen off the wall. Gym is just overall not taken care of which is really unfortunate since it has so much potential.
I wish i could rate this gym lower. ive been trying to cancel for the past two months. brian who is the operations manager has completely wasted my time for this entire process. he replies within 3-4 days with little to no helpful information, ive had to send him the same info 3 times to not even a receive a refund. not to mention the a/c unit was down the entire time i was a member here, rude staff, and machines stay broken for months.
The gym is not clean. There is a lack of sanitation stations and spray bottles. The faucet in the men’s locker room is leaking, with water running 24x7. There is no air conditioning with summer around the corner. The elevators are out of order. There is a Limited number of treadmills and without air conditioning the skylights cause the cardio area to be extremely hot. Weights and kettle bells are used to prop doors open.I submitted a complaint to Training Manager about the plan I was sold, he referred the complaint back to my trainer, never received a call. Other trainers have no problem interrupting your session to talk to yourtrainer. Staff is generally unfriendly, however there are some good people who work there.The plus side are the patrons. They are pretty respectful. People are about their business and do not hog machines nor do they waste time congregating.They have great sales people which is how you end up in a contract. No one should be in a contract for a service in 2021, maybe 20 years ago.

The sales person/manager is not ethical. They double sell you on the same things, and dont disclose all the hidden fees, and contract. They sugar coat and lie about their prices/fees. I was every excited to start a workout journey with TruFit, until I realized I was paying $300 for training sessions that were advertised as only $50 extra a month. Customer service was poor.The gym is over all very dirty. There is no hand paper, sanitizing stations, soap, or toilet paper. The floors and restrooms are disgusting.The air conditioning wasn’t working for at least 3-4 months. They had posters stating, “work-out at your own risk…”Very disappointed with TruFit, I would not recommend it to anyone.
It’s a great gym and I love working out here. I do personal trading and it’s really great because I get to get a good workout in.
Nice gym, horrible management. They overcharged so many fees to my account, when I cancelled due to job loss in COVID-19. They kept charging my account for 2 more months and said they’d “follow up” the manager is horrible and very unprofessional. They belittle you and question personal things. Would not recommend to anyone.

Horrible experience! They cancelled my trainer contract then restored it after a long fight but only gave me two sessions from the 8 I had left. And they are not cheap.The trainer I had was great. Corporate is horrible, all they want is your money and don’t care about fixing issues that I constantly had, including over charges back in November. And never want to take your calls.....DO NOT GO THERE! Stick to local gyms not these corporate gyms that suck!!!!!
The gym is always well kept, the staff is amazing, and they have tons of equipment available. I especially appreciate Kika’s welcoming demeanor and Tiffany’s immense knowledge as a trainer.

I would understand if people werent listening to the music but it seems like 90% of the people are listening to their own music anyway! And the music is trash! You have to have your beats turned ALL the way up and you can still hear the music BLASTING! Talk about hearing damage. And they force you to sign a year contract. 👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼

I am new to the area. I saw the billboard. I got the free 5 day pass. I came in Wednesday July 8th. I spoke with Kevin. He was great. He was courteous. He was very customer service oriented. He made me put trufit at the top of my list so far. I only had 1 or 2 more gyms to try. I came in today, July 9th around 2. The salesgirl was deplorable. After speaking with her for less than a minute I felt like she wanted me to go elsewhere. She was not personable and she contradicted previous information. Horrible.I had to writ this review as I saw a Soldier come into the gym. He spoke to the front desk. He waited a long time before the same girl spoke with him. After they spoke he was actually leaving. I was compelled to speak with him. The girl didn’t even try to sell him on the club. He wasn’t even aware of the trial option. He knew nothing about the amenities or the options available to him. A Captain in the US Army was treated so shabbily. He couldn’t be treated like a valuable customer.
Honestly a disappointment.Sign up at your own risk but if you have a problem dont expect them to call you back when they say they are or answer their phone or ever have the right people in office to take care of a situation once our contract if over in a few months well be canceling.

The air conditioning system has been not working for almost two months and it appears no interest in fixing the problem. They have been using air blowers and opening the doors. It is beginning to smell bad and very hot ambient.
So far so great. Signed up a week ago and the machines are nice, the daycare is huge and accepts babies (3 months+), and the staff has been amazing. The price of the membership is also a good deal.

Ive been going to this gym for almost a year now, if it wasnt for my contract Im stuck with I would have switched a long time ago. Since Ive been going here they have had machines that are still out of order and have never worked. The sink in the mens bathroom has been running for 2 weeks now and theyve done nothing to fix it or even shut the cut offs off. Instead they are just letting it run, wasting a ton of water. They also have about 20 TVs in this gym playing nothing at all when they could be playing sports, instead they have the same trufit ads on rerun. Also a good amount of the treadmills dont work and it doesnt look like they are in any hurry to get those fixed either. This is a brand new gym and already being ran terribly. Ive been a member of a lot of gyms and this one is hands down at the bottom of my list.
Very dirty, they dont refill their sanitizing stations, they dont enforce masks when it says you have to wear one....very hot second floor, air-conditioning is horrible, manager doesnt care, trainers dont want to clean up or do shores because they are to good for that you can see the sales look on their face every time you go in.....I see an Under New Management sign outside very soon....corporate needs to take over! The workers lost interest very quick, didnt even take a year.
I always feel welcomed at the gym, the staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. Also there is plenty of equipment so I am never sitting around and waiting for anything to be available.
The facility and some of the trainers do a really good job but the sales people are not ethical they double sell you on the same things, they dont disclose hidden fees and good luck trying to downgrade plans without a 500+ fee. Its also no use in trying to reach corporate, a corporate representative was at the gym and he had no customer service skills whatsoever what a joke of upper management.
So like everyone else I came running to trufit when it opened. Was cool, a new gym and excited to have another option. As time has gone by I have stopped going because it is the dirtiest gym that I have ever been in. So now I pay 2 memberships, because I am not able to get out of the contrct. Then I am told that I do not send my cancelation notice 30 days prior Im locked in to another year. Please do not make the same mistake I did. Stay where youre at....
Very good gym and good motto overall, HOWEVER watch out for those RANDOM FEES they charge you! I got a $40-50 membership now I’m signed up for ridiculous FEES. Would not recommend at all. Sorry Tru fit 2.8 Google rating is well deserved
I am very disappointed in Trufit lately. The air conditioner has been down for over a month. The trainers in classes dont teach the classes (instead they stand around and talk). In the boxing class I had to ask for help on almost every exercise and by the time I got help the round was half way over. There are nails sticking out of the walls in the sauna. Several treadmills were broken for several months. The bathrooms upstairs are dirty and smell. I posted a review on their Facebook page and they took it down so people do not know the truth before they sign up.WHY HAS THERE BEEN NO COMMUNICATION TO MEMBERS ON THE STATUS OF THE AIR CONDITINOER? IT HAS BEEN OUT FOR MONTHS AND NO ONE HAS THOUGHT TO UPDATE MEMBERS ON THE AC STATUS? WE LIVE IN TEXAS WHERE ITS 100+ DEGREES.THIS IS UNSAFE TO HAVE A GYM WITH NO AIR CONDITIONER!WILL IT EVER BE FIXED?
There is no air conditioning and this can cause problems. It is very dirty and not meeting COVID guidelines. I have tried reaching out to staff and I have not recived a positive feedback.
Dirty….dirty….dirty at least at EP Fitness there was always someone vacuuming or cleaning all the workout machines. Not to mention that it’s HOT HOT …AC is horrible. As soon as my membership expires I will seriously consider going back to EP.

Lots of gym equipment to choose from. Platforms for heavy deadlifts or Olympic lifts. Great strength and conditioning class that’s called Tru Power as well as the boxing/kickboxing class called Combo 6. Lots of personal trainers to choose from that range from rehab specialist to contest preparation.
Went in for a tour and sign up, staff was friendly...at first. Now Im stuck in a contract for a freaking year and canceling it is harder than finding Harvey weinstein a date. They want $400 to cancel my contract. I cant sign into my account because they cant find the account I used to sign up with. Ive yet to receive my member card much less any cooperation from tru fit. Horrible business practices. Stay away from this place like you do your inlaws.
Its a decent gym when you compare it to others in EP. Great space but needs more employees telling the gym rats to clean after themselves, ya know, wiping down the equipment on both floors. Tbh, bathrooms upstairs need much much much more cleaning. Like Constantly... Lots of friends there wanting a squat rack inside womans room so pervs cant stare lol maybe thatll be done?... There are a lot of comments about the sales team so from my perspective, sales people do lie at times. My friend had a free trail & was told he could cancel if he didnt like it, to which he tried doing within the free trail days but they refused to cancel the membership & asked him to transfer it under anyone elses name just so they could keep the sale. I know right, how convenient for the sales team. So if you get the free trail expect them to contact you & pressure you into securing your membership. Its not all bad of course, but you should know what to look out for. The classes upstairs give you a good workout, nice variety of equipment to use (if its not broken that day), enough room & equipment for all but peak times (6pm-ish) could be a little hectic of course. Daycare center can be full @ times so if those workers inside could somehow post,text,or email a message to all that have signed up about the wait times, if any. Parking is huge so I cant pick at that, friendly faces @ front desk are usually pretty good so no prob there👍😊-Fellow GymRat🐁
The gym is new and big. There are two floors with lots of machines to work out while still practicing social distance. I love that they have Trufit Lady. I go during slow hour, so sometimes I get the room for myself. I feel very comfortable while working out. I just hope they have machines for core too. As for Daycare, Crystal is awesome. Shes very patient with my 3 month baby. I can workout for a full hour without any distraction thanks to her.

(Edit) I originally gave a 5 star review but recently it’s been disappointing… I love my trainer and my Zumba instructor and the massage beds but the fact that there has been no air conditioning for over a month is crazy.. I think it’s the mall because Dillard’s is also really hot upstairs but whatever the case may be it seems like they don’t care and I will be cancelling my membership. To cancel you have to send a letter to a specified address at least 30 days before your membership ends so read your contract!(Old review)My new favorite gym!! I love all the equipment and the spacious location. Staff is super helpful and friendly! I got the premium membership and it doesn’t disappoint and the massage beds? Beyond amazing!

Trainers allow their clients to have bags on the floor.

I spoke with the general manager Jude, he was highly unprofessional and unhelpful with my current issue with this gym. At one point he even told me to leave.At first they seem very outgoing and soon you realize they just take peoples card information and charge them without there consent.When I asked him who else I could speak to, to assist me with my issue, he simply stated that whoever else I call will only re direct me back to him and that he won’t be assisting me with my issue. That there’s “nothing he can do”I gave my card information to Quentin back in June at Sunland park mall when they wererecruiting for memberships, I told him I DID NOT want a YEAR long membership.He told me he can help me out and get me a trial week so I signed up, I paid for a trial week, with my card information.Now I was not ready to go back to a gym in August,September, or October due to covid.I have not even used my trial week, however I have been charged every month for something I don’t even want. it’s very disappointing that they deceive and fail to communicate with there members. By using the excise I signed a contract however I was misinformed signing that contract .I hope this does not happen to anyone else.

I talked to somebody about starting a membership back in July. I was told there is no contract. My husband is military and I knew we would be moving soon. I noticed I started being charged so I called to cancel. I was told that I signed a contract. I HAVE NEVER EVEN BEEN THERE!Avoid this place at all costs. Their sales team are scammers and will lie to you to get your card information.

Im giving it a 2 stars because altho the facilities are great the management is the worse one ever. They tell you one thing and then they want to stuck you up with a whole different one. Other than that is a nice space.
I love this gym I go at least 3 times a week, staff is nice and they have great equipment. my favorite area is the crossfit area upstairs. They also provide a all girls area which is nice.
Seriously do not go to this place! They’ll charge you way more than they say and they come up with some excuse saying that you have to pay 400 to cancel?! Also, the sales reps constantly bother you and won’t leave you alone. This gym tried charging my friends so much money than the original price AND FEES. Luckily, they were able to contact their bank without anything happening. Truly sad that they take advantage of people with this fraud of a gym.
The staff is extremely rude, they don’t greet you or express customer service in at least the minimal effort. My husband and I also noticed a water bottle in the weight area for the past three days in the same spot and it’s very dirty. It’s a clear sign they don’t clean which is concerning and uncomfortable.

Turns out the sales rep conned me into paying more. She told me I was paying 80 dollar sign-up fee with FREE training sessions. Emphasis on the word free. I specifically remember her saying for free. Turns out It was only a 10 dollar sign up fee and a 69 dollar fee for training sessions. They dont want to refund the 69 dollars because its not through trufit. Its a 3rd party. They dont want to cancel my membership without charging me over 400 dollars. Even though im uncomfortable that she still works there. The general manager said he wasnt there it could have been miscommunication. I KNOW that I did not pay for 69 dollar training session. I was made to believe it was the start up fee. Today I went to the pdf of 2 different documents sent to my email. I know that one of the documents, the one with the training sessions, I did not sign. I didnt sign 2 documents. The initials on the training session document look completely different than the way I write. I dont know who signed it but it wasnt me. The general manager said he could do nothing!!! Nothing!!! He has fraudulent activity in his gym and hes not doing anything about it. I was so excited for this gym to open and now I never want to step foot in there again. Yet Im going to be charged every month for the next 11 months and Im out 69 dollars. I dont know what to do. The people there are no help. Its embarrassing to admit I was conned but whats worse is that it seems the whole company is in on it.
I recently tried their 3 day trial for a $10 membership, from which the gym offered me a special promotion from one of their sales reps, and found that they enrolled me for a year contract for their premium $30 a month membership without my consent. Afterwards, I cancelled my membership during the 3 Day Trial period, from which I am STILL BEING CHARGED $32 for a membership I no longer have! Stay away from this place, there are much better gyms.

Sales representatives were trying to force me into buying a membership even though I was clearly uncomfortable and didn’t want one. Was even promised a tour of the gym and didn’t get one. It doesn’t really matter because I won’t be wasting my time in such a gym. Careful, there’s so many hidden fees that they won’t tell you about, and a 400 dollar cancellation “fee”.

The gym was nice at opening, but ever since its been uncomfortable. More than half of everyone works out without their mask on, and no one seems to care to enforce it. Tried to cancel my membership due to COVID concerns and they said no. They could only freeze it but they would still charge me each month? Im cancelling my payments ASAP.

This is such a nice gym with high end exercise equipment, with friendly staff, and the classes that they offer are really awesome I give the instructors 10/10. The reason why I’m giving it a 3 star review is because they need to be more clean and more hygenic, especially now during this pandemic as Covid-19 cases keep rising. I usually go in, in the mornings and the men’s restrooms are always a mess, there’s pee stains all over the restroom, it’s uncomfortable using the restroom like that. They rarely have desinfecting bottles on the cardio area upstairs. It’s so gross to think that the past person that used the equipment before didn’t clean the machine after use because there’s no desinfecting bottles and it’s really concerning and frightening now that El Paso is on the spot for having so many active cases of covid-19. This would’ve been an awesome gym if they were more cleaner and hygenic but unfortunately they aren’t. Hopefully they can resolve this problem and have it addressed.
A/C has not been working for months
The staff needs to have customer service and at least greet the customers. I am very disappointed how dirty the place is I knowIt’s new but there are paint buckets and pieces of construction material just laying around safety is not a priority for the club as I can see.
I go in the morning the girl the front desk is friendly super clean ! Would recommend!
Excellent gym, very clean and has a lot of space
I love this gym it is very clean the staff is super nice I got a membership when it first opened and the manager was super nice I believe his name was Jude I would recommend going there if you’re looking for a good gym there is also a room just for girls To make you feel more comfortable and that’s one of the things a lot of gyms don’t have

No-one answers the phone. Ive had to leave several messages with no call backs and once I did, I asked to cancel my membership and they said they would call me back. Do you think I ever got a call back? Nope! I truly hate that I enrolled in this Gym. Take your money elsewhere
