This company is super unprofessional. I called because I got a letter in the mail stating I was going to have a lien put on my home for non payment for something the insurance sent them out for. Worse thing is when I called to tell them that insurance should have been taking care of this the lady over the phone started releasing information to me without even confirming who I was, I asked her how she know it was me if I never even gave her an address or a name and she said your name came up on my caller ID. I’ve been a victim to fraud and one thing I’ve learned is caller ID is NOT a form of verification. Overall the experience with this company is horrible. Do not use them.

I hired this company to do roofing job. After the work was completed, I reported they had left nails protruding underneath all around the eves of my home splitting perfectly good paint. I have been trying to get them to fix it. They promised to show up but never did. Called the company many many times, but they always made excuses. Mr. Greg Althouse, himself personally came to my home to see damage. Very unprofessional and arrogant individual. He asked if was married which I though was very odd question. Then made very serious disparaging remark about his former employee which were very disturbing. He made excuses stating the person who did the work was no longer with him, so that was his excuse. Shoving work to his assistant Rene but work was never done. After many more calls, was told assistant Rene was no longer in his employ. One excuse after another and another. This is the most unprofessional company I have dealt with. Although Althouse Restore, (Mr. Althouse) receives payment for work it is my understanding he contracts the work out and therefore, absolves himself, of any responsibility to correct a problem. This company is listed through USAA Insurance. I would not recommend this company.

What an absolutely INCREDIBLE company!! Althouse Restoration came out to our shelter and went above and beyond to help us disinfect our facility to help keep our clients, residents, and staff safe during this COVID-19 crises. They took great precaution to make sure everyone felt safe and came even early to the appointment. These folks are the go-to company for viruscides! Thank you Greg for going the extra mile!

Let me start by saying that customer service skills are a thing of the past, no one seems to care about them anymore because they think the customer is not the one paying the bill and they are right. The ones calling the shots now are the insurance companies thats why when you have a claim and you call your insurance company they refer you to their preferred provider who works for them and not you. Even though you pay the premiums every month and you are the customer these construction and restoration companies will always favor the insurance company. So if you have USAA they will refer you to this company who will not listen to you or your concerns, we had a water heater leak and the adjuster for Althouse said it would cost $1700.00 then he revised it to $1200. That I know of sheetrock, carpet, paint, molding and labor hasnt dropped in price if fact construction materials have risen in price because of the housing boom recently. The adjuster was very rude to my wife as was my insurance company, so if youre thinking of using this company for your repairs look at the reviews and make an informed decision on your part its your home and your investment that your trying to protect.

When my husband was deployed we had a big hail storm hit my side of town. I didnt know who to use and was stressed about the situation at my home. My insurance company recommended Althouse Restore as a preferred contractor. Althouse came out to my home that very same day and was able to get me an estimate to send to my insurance company. We ended up having to replace my entire roof, A/C unit, fix the damage to the front of the house and the water damage inside. The whole process went amazing and everything was finished within a couple weeks. As a military family we just never really know who to use. Thank you Althouse Restore for making this situation easy on me and my family.

Ill start off by saying they did a good job with restoring my porch. This is a long review because I want to give details of my experience. With that being said, if you want to work with a company that communicates, is professional, and keeps their word then you might want to look for someone else.I went with this company because of my insurance. After they did the inspection of the damages and quote it, I met with Glen to pay my deductible. He didnt show up to our first appointment. Apparently, he asked his scheduler Erica if he could come by earlier to meet with me and she said yes. This was not communicated with me and I was at work. They apologized the next day when my insurance adjuster called them, they said it was a miscommunication. When they began the project they did not call to let me know when they were starting or what time. My father had forgot to lock the lock to the backyard and when I got home, I saw the construction material in my yard. They had also started building the frame. I let my insurance adjuster know and again they apologized for the miscommunication. Then they failed to mention that I would be working with their sub-contractor. I was thinking I was working with actual Althouse employees. The subcontractors would show up at whatever time of day, not knock or call ahead, and would leave without letting us know they were leaving. To me this communication is important sk I know I can lock my gate, open it ahead of time for them, etc. When the project was complete I was left with paint stains on the tile floor of my porch (not there pre-project) plaster stains on the windows (not there pre-project). They sent someone to clean but all that person did was spray the floor and screens. The stains are still there but at this point all I wanted was to close this work order. Glen did not always answer back when I would text or call him either (promise I wasnt blowing up his phone). On June 28, 2019, I called Erica to make my payment (I paid out of pocket for additional features). She said she would run the payment and email me the receipt. I called back July 2, 2019 to ask what had happened to the payment or my receipt. She said their credit card machine wasnt working the 28th and she was going to run the payment on the 2nd when I called. Again, she said she would email me the receipt. Well it is July 8, 2019, 7:00pm MST and I am yet to receive that receipt via email. I know they processed the payment because of my bank statement. I understand people get busy but common courtesy is the follow up with your clients if you gave them your word. I would not reccomend this company to others. If this is the company your insurance providers go with I wish you better luck than I had.

Our roof was damaged from the hail storm in late 2016. Once the company actually started working it took forever for them to finish. It took almost a month to supposedly find a new panel for our sun window. We were under the impression that the repairs were done and complete but we couldnt have been more wrong. About a month ago a huge rainstorm came through that dumped multiple inches in our area and when we woke up the next morning our entire floor in the master bedroom was soaking wet. We called the company back and the Mr. Althouse came out himself and found a 3 inch hole in the tiles where his lazy employees never covered up and found that they never screwed on the caps that were supposed to cover the exhaust pipes on the roof. He told us that he would have his crew come back out to look at the roof because he wasnt smart enough to find other damage but then they never showed up. We have HUGE stains in our ceilings now from where the rain soaked in and our master bedroom has a musty smell from all the water that go into the wood from the original hole that was never fixed. Althouse is a pathetic excuse for a restoration company and I will be calling my insurance company to let them know so they can be removed from the preferred contractor for the area. You should be ashamed of the quality of work that you consider acceptable.
