They have been out 7 times in the past year to fix consistent issues with our fridge/freezer. Each time, after they leave the issue comes back, or worse, another issue pops up within 72 hours. They came to replace our freezer door on 9/17/21 as the ice maker was consistently having issues. Sunday night, we noticed the popsicles were all soft, and by Monday, we had lost everything in the fridge, and 90% of the items in our freezer. The entire unit is no longer making cold air.upon calling them, they agreed that this unit was probably a lemon and started the replacement process. Its now been 2 days and we havent heard a peep, and we are stuck with storing what little food we have (milk for kids and cheese sticks/yogurts) in a cooler.Hold times to get in touch are insanely long (Monday i was on hold for over 90 minutes). The phone center folks are great, and I know their hands are tied, but this entire process is taking too long, and the consistent domino effect of issues with our fridge and freezer have been frustrating. In the past 6 months we have lost all of the food in our fridge/freezer three times! Im so tired of all of this drama. I just want a fridge that works!

The 2 techs that came to the house were wonderful! BUT dealing with the customer service team at the sears warranty repair was a nightmare. 1st tech said my dishwasher needed 2 parts...ordered them that day 4/23...said they would ship direct to me then they would come back out. Parts were backordered and I contacted them to find out..told due to covid they were backordered claimed to look everywhere yet i found them on another site available. After weeks of calls and chats which turned into a month it was escalated...was told if parts were not found in 10 days of order appliance would be replaced I stated I have been waiting over 1.5 months...oh yeah i see that they said. I also said while sitting on here dealing with you i googled the part #s and found them on another site so just how diligently are you doing your job looking EVERYWHERE for them when i found them and yet you tell me they are not available...suddenly within 3 days the parts arrived at my house and a tech came to fix it. as stated the techs themselves were awesome...customer service sucked. and each time they ended a call or a chat they tried to push me to get their other house warranty or to get their supposed FREE consults...i said no thanks you guys suck!

My Whirlpool (Sears brand) range is leaking gas, and the gas company confirmed the leak internal to the appliance. I called for service repair, hoping for a quick appointment and diagnosis so 1) the obvious safety hazard would be remedied before the weekend and 2) so I can have hope of using my range to cook over the weekend. I got a customer service rep who seemed to be reading off a script and was more interested in upselling me on a Home Warranty or maintenance and cleaning than getting me a quick appointment. The rep insisted that same day appointments must be made before 12pm. I offered to purchase the maintenance package if he got a technician to look at my appliance today, but no such luck. Its probably not the reps fault, but a system or policy issue. While under normal circumstances I would totally understand and respect this boundary, this is a safety issue, and a true customer service organization would not have let systems or policies get in the way of resolving a safety issue. I called a local appliance repair company and got someone to my house within an hour, for a diagnosis charge $20 less than what Sears was going to charge. Sears has not earned my business, and I will remember this next time one of my Sears appliances breaks (which is often).

Technicians have been great but......repair and warranty customer service continues to give me the runaround.I have had issues with my 7 year old Kenmore refrigerator not cooling, then working great, only to not cool again for going on 3 years now...This time around I have been without a refrigerator for over a month now and there have been several technicians that have been out to only make temporary repairs.Up to now, techs have unplugged my refrigerator and said to leave it unplugged for the remainder of the day, plug it back in and it should be good...it was for a few weeks. The next tech pressed some buttons on the front / ice & water dispenser area and said it would be good once it reset...it was for a few weeks. Then this last time around, in early June my refrigerator fails to say cool.....again. I called and scheduled a tech visit. The tech came out on 17 June, noticed the ice that had formed on the back and the rust that it had caused and said that the refrigerator was defective and that he would submit a warranty to get it replaced and we should hear something within the next week. We didnt. So my wife attempted to make contact and was given numerous numbers to call and in the end she was told that the technicians comments, stating that the failure was due to a lack of insulation, was not covered. I didnt understand and couldnt accept that answer since I am not the engineer that designed the refrigerator, with insufficient insulation. I called and was told that the only thing that could be done was to have another technician come out and re-evaluate...Another tech visit was made for 07 July and I had to take off of work to be present....the tech called prior to his visit and asked if there was a mistake that he could read the prior techs comments and didnt see a need to actually come out since he had seen this issue before and told me that he would work with his supervisor and push it to warranty again.I have since called an additional 3 numbers, have even talked to supervisors who told me that they would look into it and get back to me on Monday....that was Monday 13 July and I have yet to receive an update. Used the online chat function this morning as was given an email address but, my email was undeliverable due to The recipients mailbox is full and cant accept messages now.

I was absolutely shocked that the technician did not bring something to cover the floor; therefore, he left a big, black mess for me to clean up! That was the first time I have ever had a person come unprepared. Also, I expected him to vacuum out the dryer, and he had no vacuum! I would like to know in advance, before his appointment on April 20, that he is equipped with these items.

Deb Shed6:18 PM (0 minutes ago)-5 star review. Feeling a little bamboozled. Such trickery is uncool. Mid December 2019 I contacted SEARS Appliance Repair, made an appointment for the repair man to come out. The man was professional efficient it was an easy assessment I needed a part for the refrigerator to work. I wrote him a $200.00 check to initiate the process he gave me an appointment for 7 January 2020. imagine my surprise, go ahead, I’ll wait, when no one came out on January 7 2020 to fix my refrigerator, it is only two years old and I bought from Sears El Cajon. I admit that I’m ignorant, I am without information, I only speak English, the two people I spoke with were not well acquainted with English. The $200 that was required in order to initiate the process was for a part that needed to be shipped to my house. When asking questions like is there a tracking number for the part? Does it come to you first then SEARS ships it to me? Was someone going to call me and tell me no one would be coming out January 7, 2020 because my part did not come in? My next question was, is there a tracking number on this part, did it get stolen from my porch and no one told me? I figured if I could talk to a human in person perhaps this would come to a resolution. I went driving around today, the website says that the Sears Appliance Repair address is 575 Fletcher Parkway El Cajon, Ca 92020. Nothing to be found no Sears appliance repair store. And then I went over to the industrial neighborhood looked around on a bunch of streets I found where there are used to be a Sears repair shop but it is no more, the property is closed and fenced off. Now what, SEARS Appliance Repair?

I like to write positive reviews and avoid things like this but, wow!I have been rescheduled three times, once without any notification for various issues with the techs and dispatch service. We waited and no one showed up during the hours they designated. After the fourth scheduled repair the tech was here for 5 minutes. He called and tried to reschedule due to no parking spots in our complex. He drained the washing machine and left. This did not resolve our issue and our machine still does not work. After calling the service line, yet again, we were unable to get an appointment for another 10 days.I paid for my washer, dryer and warranty in cash in March. We have had this machine for about 5 months. We were promised this was a great machine and the warranty would cover any unexpected issues. This was a lie. I have little faith that my issue will be resolved and anticipate being rescheduled again for some reason. This has cost my family more time and money than it is worth.

Service man was very friendly and informative. Unfortunately, my dishwasher still didnt work after he left. I called back right away for another appointment. The new technician replaced the motor and pump. Im waiting for a full load to try it out again. Again very friendly and seemingly knowledgeable technicians that were in and out in a reasonable amount of time. Although, both were later than expected. The email update of the eta was very nice!!Update: My dishwasher cleans like new since the replacement of the motor and pump. I put in all dishes dirty. There were dishes with cheese, peanut butter and cafe mocha, all of which would not be cleaned prior to the fix. Im hoping to get another 5 years from my dishwasher! Thank you for doing the right thing and not just telling me that I use too much soap or the wrong soap or the water wasnt hot enough. All of these comments have been used in the past year by servicemen, instead of just solving the problem. The new pump and motor did it!!

Our ice maker in the door of our refrigerator started to act up. A repair person from a third party company, that Sears had contracted with, came and installed a new part. The repair person left without testing his repair work. It made a terrible noise when I went to use it, so I called to have the repair person come back and fix it. The repair person that came back the second time was actually an employee of Sears. He looked at the part that had been put in by the first repair person and determined that it had been installed UPSIDE DOWN! He corrected the mistake, and tested the ice maker. It worked!! Not at all impressed with the third party contractors that come out in lieu of a Sears employee.

In order to keep this review as short as possible I’m not going to include all of the frustrating details that went along with the automated phone system or the difficulty in continually rescheduling with various call centers on the rare occasions I could get a call to connect. I will say that both technicians were prompt and professional and we did not have any issues with the actual visits but after that, I’ll simply provide a timeline and let you draw your own conclusions on sears home services as a whole:Day 1: 2014 Kenmore Elite refrigerator broke, called and scheduled first available appointment which was 8 days laterDay 9: Technician identifies problem as failed condenser. He orders parts immediately and schedules next available appointment which was in another 13 daysDay 22: parts have not arrived, unable to get an estimated part delivery date so schedule next available appointment which wasn’t for another 16 days.Day 38: parts have not arrived, still unable to get an estimated part delivery date so schedule next available appointment in 15 daysDay 44: some parts arrivedDay 52: All parts have not arrived, no estimate on delivery date, schedule next available in 21 daysDay 54: remaining parts arriveDay 57: duplicate parts arrive with no explanationDay 73: Technician states that the parts are not correct for our model but is able to modify with some existing equipment and find a solution, refrigerator is repaired.Needless to say I was forced to buy another refrigerator in the meantime (NOT Kenmore) and will never use sears repair service again.

We had two different technicians, on two separate occasions, for the same thing. Not overly happy about that, but I guess I understand they cant have every part on hand. My experience day 1: The technician didnt show up during our scheduled time (8am-12pm). He called me at 11:30am saying he would be there between 12pm-1pm. I was unhappy about this, as my husband was home waiting for him. So, I called customer service. After talking with them NUMEROUS times, on two separate days, I was told I was going to get a $50 check for the inconvenience. This never arrived. Day 2: The technician called me and was able to come to my house early to finish the job. It was done quickly and the technician was professional. We have used our dryer a couple of times and have no complaints - it seems to be working fine. Overall, I am very unhappy with Sears customer service. The technicians were fine and did their job just fine (minus arriving late the first day), but calling customer service was a waste of my time and knowing that they may not show up on time is very frustrating. I probably will not use Sears again.

If i could give Sears Appliance Repair a lower review, I would. It has been five weeks since the original call to Sears about our Kenmore Elite refrigerator covered by a Protection Agreement that suddenly lost and could not hold temperature. The refrigerator is STILL not working.Heres what to expect: Make the call, wait one week for tech appointment, tech diagnoses the problem and orders part, part arrives(three days UPS), call to schedule installation, await another week for tech appointment, tech arrives to install part(circuit board), wait 24 hours to determine if refrigerator cools and ice freezes(it did not!), make the call to report failure, order another board, await UPS arrival, call to schedule appointment, wait another week for tech appointment to install a second circuit board, wait 24 hours for refrigerator to respond(it did not, again), call to report another failure, call to schedule another tech appointment, wait one week for tech to arrive(pending).f there is a bright spot, it would be the in-home techs. They arrive as scheduled and are polite and professionalI have called at least six different 800 numbers and talked to numerous CS representatives in several different time zones. While polite, they follow the same script but have no ability to take independent action to solve the problem.i have received my $260 food loss reimbursement check(condiments excluded) with the $50 inconvenience check is in the mail. Meanwhile, our mini-refrig is stuffed with basics, we go to the grocery store almost daily and eat at restaurants 2-3 times per week.In addition to the prolonged inconvenience of all of the above, there is anxiety and helplessness that comes with playing by the rules and not getting a timely response. While Sears may have a system of Customer Service involving 800 numbers, emails, text messages and Internet chat, they demonstrate a repeated lack of caring for the customer and an inability to solve problems.Sears had a reputation for quality and their Protection Agreement implies continuity and service. NO

If I could give a 0, I would! The technician replaced the circuit board which was defective (that took 3 week) and then when we went to start the dishwasher, later that day, we discovered it wasnt putting out water now so it still doesnt work. Our next appointment cant be until Feb9! If the technician had taken the time when he was here to make sure it worked properly, it would have saved us weeks more of a non-working dishwasher. We have a Sears Protection agreement on 11 of our appliances and have had for a number of years. I would think, given the state of the store Sears, that loyal customers would be treated better! Im not a happy customer right now at all! Update February 20, I am now awaiting time 5 of a service technician to look at the dishwasher.UPDATE 2-24 Frank did a great job overall . He was patient and thorough. He said the maximum load should be 4 regular size towels, which is ridiculous! Ive been doing laundry for decades. Not only didnt he fix my washer, he cracked the door on my dryer. Ive spent hours trying to get hold of somebody who can tell me whats going on to fix the door and when I can expect parts. I feel theyre not going to do anything and they hope I just go away. Most of their customer service is headquartered in the Philippines or Colombia. Ive called customer service, customer solutions, repair department and scheduling department Department. I have a service contract on both my washer and dryer, and the tech had the nerve to try and charge me $99.99 for the dryer and $99.99 for the washer. They did nothing to my washer and they cracked the door on my dryer....unbelievable that they would try and charge me! Ive had an A&E service contract for years and never had a service problem. Sears A&E is totally different. I talked to Sarah in the US and asked why the difference; had one company bought out the other? She told me she couldnt tell me because that was confidential information. At this point I have no confidence they will fix what they broke!!! Beware!

I do not pay the kind of money for a service plan from these people so I can be talked down to by someone who probably doesnt even do their own laundry, let alone know how to fix my machine. It has been fixed three times this year and every time the service techs come, they order all the right parts, then half of them are cancelled by the parts gods and my poor service guys have to use crazy glue. I get that customer service is not what it used to be. But it took a full week to get someone out and a full week to get parts then several days for it to be fixed. I am not a fan of the 4 hour window on a Saturday. I did call in the morning of said repair and got it shortened to a reasonable 2 hour window. The repair arrived and checked my grill. Turns out that it only needed a new batter in the ignition switch area. The repairman DID NOT have a new battery, he wanted to replace my battery (that was still working once he jiggled it around a bit) with one from his flashlight, which was ridiculous to me. I had to go find my own batter and I replaced it myself. Other than that - he didnt do ANY THING to my grill. He then attempted to have me give an fantastic or Brilliant rating. Cant remember the word. He filled in the form on his tablet, not me. He then had me sign it. I wasnt happy with that nor the fact that he really only figure out the problem. It only took about 2 minutes for that to happy. I have my grill under warranty, so it didnt cost me anything, BUT the fact that the receipt he left stated that it would have cost $375 something dollars is insane! Complete rip off. He was in and out in about 6 minutes and the majority of that was filling out the form on his tablet. He spent more time gathering his things in prep to come into my home than he actually did IN MY HOME!

I love Sears for their warranties but we have had them out 4 times in the last 8 weeks for our stove issues. One thing gets fixed and something else goes wrong, the wrong part is sent or a major problem got missed by a tech...this is why I only gave 4 stars instead of 5. Love Sears but tired of seeing them every 2 weeks.

The repairman arrived right on time, which is great. Our side by side doors were uneven & we needed both doors made even again. He tried to make them right gain but couldn’t make them perfect, saying that was the best he could do, and left! Really ? You had 1 problem to fix & you couldn’t do that successfully ? Come on Sears. Do the repairs successfully..

Technician arrived when he said he would and my dryer is back in working condition. He left the dead part with husband, who could not tell me what the problem had been when I came home. It would be nice if a written note could be left with explanation or an email afterwards with explanation to the email on file for the customer. --- Just a suggestion.

The tech rep arrived and surveyed the washing machine. He determined that it needed two parts and told me to expect the parts to be delivered. I was pleased with his knowledge (he has been here before) and his quickness in evaluation. The parts arrived after 3 weeks. One part was damaged. It took another 3 weeks to get the part again. The technician arrived (now it is 2 months of broken washing machine!) and spent 2 hours fixing the machine. He left. It was not until 3 days later that I attempted to use the washer. It stopped midway in the cycle and would not continue. Now my dirty clothes are wet and still dirty.I attempted to get another tech but it will be another month before he can arrive! What is going on here? Do you think I am happy? If you do, you are wrong! Now I am left with wet, dirty clothes and a washer full of dirty water.HELP!!!!Betty TruittBetty R. Truitt

The repairman determined that it was a circuit breaker problem. He would not agree to work with my husband to see which circuit breaker it was since the breaker was not tripped. He wanted the repairman to watch his meter as he shut down each breaker so that he could identify which was the problem. Had to call out another appliance repairman to identify the problem breaker.

Sears is the worst service company I have used. Cant wait for them to go out of busn. altogether! lost 400.00 in food, 1000.00 in insulin, wood and carpet damage. It has been 1 year since service and SEARS has not reimbursed me for the damages they caused. I have to take SEARS to court. BTW, we had Sears insurance in addition to original warranty on the new frige.

Used Sears Appliance Repairs today to have my squeaky dryer fixed. After they left the light no longer worked in the dryer. Called the service center and they told me to unplug then plug in the dryer to reset it. After plugging it back in my dryer will no longer turn on. Called back to get the tech back to fix their mistake and Sears Appliance Repair told me they couldn’t send a tech out for another week to fix whatever they broke.ETA: after requesting to speak with a supervisor the supervisor scheduled maintenance repair for the washing machine. Then for the refrigerator. Neither of which were requested. Received an email that we had a dryer repair scheduled for the 11th. Received another email the next day saying the dryer repair was scheduled for the 11th between 8 am to Noon. Cancelled appts in order to be available from 8 am to Noon because why would Sears Service Center bother to find out when we were available prior to making an appointment?Fun fact - the repair guy never showed up.Called in at 12:30 and the service rep supervisor said he didn’t have a time window for when the repair tech would arrive we just needed to wait until they showed up. If they called and we weren’t home they’d cancel our appt. So now we have wasted a whole day. Had to reschedule things at the last minute and nothing has been done.So we had to take time off, cancel a doctor appointment, and make arrangements to have other people cover previously made plans/appointments for nothing to happen.

My service was typical of most service industries. I had a four hour window that changeday two times. What was most dis turning was the technician came into my home with dirty hands, put a computer thats been every where else on my granite counter and commenced to open up my double door refrigerator and freezer and work. It required a replacement part which I elected to receive and replace on my own. I had to clean my counters and refrigerator/freezer once he left my home. Is there a company that cares and repairs anymore? I gave one star for showing up and the other for leaving.

Svc Tech experience was good for the diagnostics. Still need the repair; well see if that goes smoothly. Products just are not that good anymore an do not last. Maytag failing after 5 years of normal to below normal use is sad. Sears telephone support really needs some help. Dont even seem to have access to Internet items the customers have; and they don;t want to try. Said they were sending, via eMail, a discount coupon for service. Never saw it.

The service technician was polite. However, he did not wear deodorant, his smell was offensive (severe body odor) and the smell was in my house after he left. In addition, he said he could not turn the water valve off under my sink for the dishwasher. So with him inches from me, I had to kneel on the floor, crawl under the sink, and turn it off. I was grossly uncomfortable with how close he was to me while I was sticking my head and arm under the sink (mere inches apart). As far as service goes, he did a good job but I have never been so uncomfortable with a repairman being in my home before. In addition, my time window was from 10:00-2:00. He showed up shortly before 4. It was not a good experience. One star is too high a rating!

The guys fixed one part of the washer and now it leaks out of drain hose. Sears refuses to send me the part, tells me they have anot appointment in 10 days. Finally I was able to talk to Esther who was able to order the part and get it expedited. Sears is not Amazon, and they will be out of business soon.

I havent had a refrigerator since June 26, 2018>>>They have replaced everything and it still doesnt work...The techs from A&E wont seem to declare it UNREPAIRABLE. The customer service reps on the repair line are the worst possible, RUDE and wont even transfer me to the supervisor in the next level....I am 75 yrs. old and I am even getting sick, because of this...WHAT GOOD IS IT TO HAVE AN EXTENDED SERVICE AGRRMENT WITH SEARS....
