He did some maintenance on our AC and resolved all issues at a very reasonable cost. Additionally they came out within one day of being called, and this was for routine service. When our AC started dying last August (2020) I contacted several companies for repair estimates, all said the system was terminal and that it needed to be replaced but it managed to make it through the summer. In February I decided to get the system replaced before summer hit. I got several estimates and also called Blue Diamond because I remembered Brian from when he came out for the repair estimate. Brian was very easy to deal with and he took the time to discuss all my options, unlike some of the others that I felt were pressuring me to make an immediate decision. Brian’s estimate was spot on and we decided on a Bosch system. Installation was a breeze, Brandon & Justin did a great job and all my special requests were accommodated without question, awesome work. When I had trouble figuring out how to use the wifi thermostat Donavan came over on his Saturday day off (sorry your brisket burned) and helped me sort out the problem. I’m writing this during the first heatwave of the summer and the system is performing awesome, so quiet and efficient. All in all top notch service from Blue Diamond!

We were trying to use the AC for the first time this year, and the house was not cooling. I called around only to find that everyone was booked up. I started reading online reviews and decided to call Blue Diamond. When I spoke with Donovan, I found out that he was in the same boat. But instead of brushing me off and booking me a week out, he asked me some questions about the issues I was having and was able to diagnose over the phone. He was in my area and was able to make time to come over and inspect the unit (same day) during what I assume was his lunch hour. He had the AC running within 15 minutes. He then took the time to go over my setup and provide recommendations on duct covers, airflow, etc. Donovan is extremely personable, knowledgeable, and just a good guy. Before you call one of the giant (and outsourced) companies, I recommend going with Blue Diamond.

When my original HVAC supplier cancelled on me after I had waited 3 weeks for my appointment, I remembered that a friend had just recommended Donovan at Blue Diamond. I was able to get an appointment for a consult in two days, and the new unit within the week.Donovan explained my options on a repair vs replacement, and the economics of both. He gave me all the information I needed to make an informed decision, and I knew nothing about AC when we started. Or about how it tied into my heater, which had been replaced two years ago. In the end I decided to replace His installers Brandon and Justin were professional, took great care of my property, cleaned up after themselves..everything you look for in contractors working on your property. Brian and JC came right over after initial call. They offered an affordable fix for my old R22 system, and explained how exactly how they will replace the old FAU and Compressor and line etc, plus how theyd fix a separator odd-area closet connected to attic space that collects heat. Also explained their phone app tools on how the are measuring in/out temperature deltas to spot issues. Very thorough and affordable.

Brian did a meticulous inspection with pictures - he took the time to really listen to our request and explain all of our options. He coordinated with asbestos removal contractor to get our job done quickly and right on target with estimate which was very reasonable. After the work was done, he went the extra mile of returning to the house to do some final adjustments and make sure everything was working exactly as we hoped. When we noticed our ac was not getting as cold, we called around and got a few diagnostics done. Blue Diamond was by far the best! First of all, they had the best rate for diagnostic (and later applied it to the final bill). Donavan came out the very next day for the diagnostic. I never write reviews but my experience today was definitely review worthy. Our AC wasn’t working and Donavon with Blue Diamond Heating and Air was referred to me by an acquaintance. Firstly, when I called to schedule an appointment he worked around my busy schedule which was awesome! They send you a picture of your technician so you know who to expect and I love that. When he arrived he was right on time, friendly, and very professional. I explained the problems we were having and had him take a look at the unit. Being a girl I’m always so weary about being taken advantage of in these types of situations BUT THAT WAS NOT THE CASE!!! Donavan was honest about the issue and didn’t try to upsell me on things that weren’t really needed. I paid much less than I ever expected to and he was in and out within an hour. This company is AWESOME. I scheduled an appointment with them on my way home from work, after my AC cut out the night before but when I got home and tried my AC it started to work so canceled the appointment. Brian tried to convince me for him to come over and take a look at it but I was like, “naw it seems to be working just fine now.” Bad move on my part because it shut off again that night and the temp in my house climbed to 89 degrees, and I’m a cold sleep type of person. I had to swollow my pride and call them back admitting my mistake. Brian came over and checked out my AC unit and in 3 mins found the problem, the entire AC coil was COMPLETELY blocked because of a dryer vent that is located behind my AC unit that for YEARS had been sucking up all the dryer lint from the previous home owners. Now mind you I checked my records and I had another AC company “service” my AC unit a year and half ago after I purchased the property and they NEVER caught what Brian found, but they did charge me hundreds of dollars to “Service” a part I found in Home Depot for $35. Back to Blue Diamond heating and air conditioning, Brian brushed, scrubbed, sprayed, cleaned, and rinsed my AC coil for over 2 hours. Afterwards he did a full check of my AC unit showed how much better it was running and didn’t try to upsell me on any “other parts and services” that were not needed. If you are on the fence on what company you can trust with anything AC related let me be the one to push you off the fence and go with Blue Diamond. If you read this far you know it’s hard to find good, hardworking, trustworthy, workers that care about their job, you can find that level of technicians in Blue Diamond heating and air conditioning. If you need A/C repairs and/or service YOU MUST GIVE THIS COMPANY A CALL!!! One of the most important elements in a technical (and expensive) field such as HVAC is trust. My wife and I turned on our A/C when it got hot out only to have no cold air blowing from the vents. Started calling around to A/C companies and setting up diagnostic visits. First company that came out checked my condenser and told me my compressor was faulty. My system uses R-22 so the recommended repair was a whole new system for $10K!!! My next call was to a co-worker who just recently purchased a house and had her A/C system replaced. She discovered Blue Diamond and they not only were the best price, but their quality and professionalism were excellent. I called Blue Diamond and Brian was courteous and professional. He came out to my house the very next day (on a Saturday). This was awesome because many places I called were telling me it would be 1-2 weeks before somebody came out. When Brian got here I was already convinced I needed a whole system, but instead of simply quoting me and taking advantage of the situation, he did his diligence, checked my system, and discovered a faulty capacitor. His inspection was far more thorough than the first technician who came out, and I could tell he (Brian) was an expert at this. I am lucky he did verify, because guess what.... it was a bad capacitor! A $100 part (both capacitors were bad) was preventing my A/C from starting. I a SO HAPPY I CALLED BLUE DIAMOND!!! I even asked him if I needed a system re-charge and after looking at my pressures and system he said it was not needed (TRUST!!!!!). I paid a very reasonable price for good quality work and he was done in an hour. I could not be happier. BTW, my co-worker did have a whole system replaced by Blue Diamond and they were significantly less expensive than the other quotes she received and she said the work they performed for her was excellent!!!Bottom line, if you need HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, & Air Conditioning) service or repairs you need to give Blue Diamond a try!!!!!

I just had a mini-split air conditioning unit installed by the excellent crew from Blue Diamond. Brandon and Justin were very professional, courteous, and efficient. The unit is perfect for my living area and seems a much better (and less expensive) solution for my needs than a full A/C unit in my attic. On January 28, 2021, I hired Blue Diamond Heating and Air Condition in El Cajon to do some work on the A/C unit on my roof. My son who also works in HVAC had a diagnosed plan but his time was limited and we were unable to do the work. I called Blue Diamond but the earliest they could give me was a week out. I asked if they could give me an earlier date just to reconnect the power for heat and he gave me a couple hours on Saturday the 30th.. Brian came out for a quick fix to get the power connected. He saw the plan my son and I had ready to go with the parts but then he showed me an alternate temporary way that was much easier and quicker and required no extra parts. He got it powered up in less than an hour. A few days later, Brandon and Justin came to diagnose the cooling problem. They re-did the wiring and did a preliminary check and ran some tests on the A/C. Their diagnosis was the same as my son’s but with some added possible issues that required further research. Luckily the unit was still under warranty so they are working with the manufacturer to get the parts for their repair plan. I was pleased with the work done by Brian, Brandon and Justin. They were polite, careful and professional and did not try to sell me service that I did not need. I will use Blue Diamond in the future.

My 25 year old AC broke down right as we were heading into a heat wave AND my wife was going to give birth any day. I consider myself lucky that all the big name companies were too busy to repair it same day, and I was referred to Brian and Blue Diamond - he had solutions to fix the old unit, but better yet, he had a very competitive proposal to replace the unit, with new AC, Heating and vents - all of which were long overdue.The work was done on time, the crew was extremely courteous, explained everything along the way so theres no surprises. They kept their masks on, which was important to us with my wife being pregnant, and kept everything tidy all along the installation.The result is that our AC is extremely efficient, quiet and powerful - we can cool the house down in a fraction of the time it used to take. I had Brian come out and repair my AC. It was my condenser that was bad but I was also down 2 lbs of refrigerant because of my contractor moving my unit in a remodel. It cost more than I thought it would because of this but well worth it. Brian explained everything to be as he fixed the unit and gave me choices. He cleaned my filters for me and then was going to tie down my unit but I told him not to as my contractor needed to do that because the unit is not level. So in a nutshell I would recommend Blue Diamond Heating and Air. They got my thumbs up

Brian was super knowledgeable and hit the problem nail right on the head as he explained what he was doing. Had to cut a line in two places and braze a connection then bleed down the system and recharge. Fees were reasonable and he knows what he is doing. Wholeheartedly recommend this business.

Due to water heater damage we had to have the heating unit removed from its pedestal so the pedestal could be removed and rebuilt. Then the heater unit had to be replaced on the new pedestal. So we had no choice but to have this done. But it was done to perfection.

We were having problems with our Heater turning on and off. Donovan responded super quickly to my text and voicemail...I was persistent, and he came out the same day. He was able to trouble shoot and figure out what our problem was. We do need a new furnace eventually, but we fixed the problem in the meantime until we are ready to replace it. He is very professional and informed us of everything we were doing. The pricing is well worth the quality you get from Blue Diamond.It is really nice because you can sign up for a maintenance program in which he comes out twice a year to service your AC and heater. Such a great service, because to be honest, who is remembering to change filters out regularly. So I want to thank Donovan and crew for there expertise.

I purchased an A/C unit in 2016 from Mauzy (a reputable place right?). It’s a huge unit on top of my condo unit, and has never worked like it’s should. I paid a fortune for it. I had them out numerous times over the years and got excuses and shabby work. I decided to check out other services. That’s when Brian with Blue Diamond called me (right away even). He came out the next morning, spent a ton of time checking everything out. He then checked for the refrigerant leak and I was amazed at how diligent he was to make sure he checked everything. He found the problem, ordered the part which wasn’t easy and had it fixed in no time. No excuses, no BS. He kept me informed every step of the way, and I mean every. I was so comfortable with the whole procedure. He went way above and beyond with his service and the cost was very reasonable and even lower than the quote. And, my A/C works great the first time!! This may sound cliche, but I will never use any one but Blue Diamond for my A/C now.

My AC broke during the heat wave and I needed it fix ASAP especially since I have dogs in the house. Brian was able to schedule me for the next day and came over to fix ac and give me options and future installations. Theyre really fast, professional, and nice people to work with.

We had our granny flat re-ducted by Brian since the ducting was deteriorated and the granny wasnt getting cool. Four days later we get a cold morning and I cant get my heat to turn on in the main house. He was in the neighborhood and literally got here 10 minutes after I called.
