Great job with no pressure to spend more. I was very nervous as I hadnt spent more than 15 minutes in any business since the start of the pandemic. Employees were masked and all doors were open so it felt very safe.

Very professional and helpful staff! Was able to recharge my A/C and get me back on the road in under a half an hour. They had the correct machine to pull the gases out and infuse new freon in. Would go again for services here if Im on this side of town without hesitation.

I was attended by a friendly and helpful lady professional. I am not sure about her name but she has awesome tattoos. She made quick work of my vehicle, oil was changed quickly and all the necessary tests for smooth functioning of the car were fast as well. I wanted to have check engine light diagnosis but unfortunately the calculator wasnt available. But she gave me good advice and confirmed that my vehicle can still run for another 150k miles. All in all great service!

Fast and easy service. I went at 830 on a Tuesday for an oil change. There was no wait. The mechanic Matt was very friendly, and told me about manufacturer recommended services and upcoming services, based on mileage but was not pushy about getting them done immediately like most salespeople. Will definitely be returning.

Why would you recommend an engine flush? I understand businesses upsell, but manufacturers (Honda) literally recommend you never do engine flushes as they can damage the seals.

Poor!I went in for an oil change today and an AC charge. When I was leaving I told the mechanic my low tire pressure light was on. He said the tires checked out fine. And that the sensor should reset when I start driving. The tire pressure light was not on before I went there. I drove back to my office a couple of miles away and the light did not go off. I came out of work at the end of the day and my tire was flat. I had to call AAA roadside. The mechanic from AAA said that the valve stem was broken. The mechanic at Valvoline should of let me know that they broke it. They were not honest. I rode home 30 miles on a donut. The tire wont hold air. The tire is relatively new. I have to go to get a new valve stem now. I am told the sensor could cost $150. I understand mistakes happen but they should have told me what happened and offer to fix it.

Went 4 times with 2 different cars.Each time, they will use a different excuse,not to perform a tire rotation.I get it its hard work.But just dont offer it,if dont want to do it.I will take my business somewhere else, were I can do everything in one place.

Please go to dealer if price $20 difference, I came here for oil change and did an oil change. After I left I spotted oil dripping, I took back to them but they say my car has an oil leak and there Ian nothing to do with what they did. Just for the information I did not have this problem in the past. Also they confirmed after oil change there was no leaks. Please go to professionals.

Really bad experience, I got my oil change done and after I got home I see the next oil change (miles stickers) and the sticker was wrong, so I come back sooner then i supposes too, they just wanna rip off ppl. I been get my oil changed done here for more then a year now, who knows how many times they did this and who many ppl. This is really bad.

Used a Groupon here on my 1st visit. Customer service here is Nice. I gave this place a 2 star because they spilled oil all over the engine. They cleaned it up but when I left the establishment my engine began to smoke and it smelled like oil inside my car. I brought it back and they cleaned it again. My car continues to smell like oil inside 5 days later.

Pulled in and a large, tall, bald, white guy just stared at me. The female, assistant manager greeted me and seemed pleasant. I told her I needed an oil change, tire pressure check, and basic maintenance, fluids check. She charged me $99 up front ( saying the most expensive oil was the only option, before doing anything, and told me I needed a complete flush for $166, on a newly leased car with only 5 k miles on it ). The guy walked away, without doing anything. Then she checked off all the fluids being checked, even though it wasnt done. When I complained, she had a 3rd guy ( brunette, beard, glasses who was just sitting there, doing nothing ) take air pressure out of my tires, instead of putting it in ( per my tire pressure gauge on my dash ). This was all done in 5 minutes. No paper receipt was given. I was at the Menlo Park mall, so I gave this place a try because it was closer.Update / 2 weeks later - The South Plainfield location is better. That team explained to me that synthetic oil ( which I never needed with my previous cars ) is poured out of a barrel / drum, not a smaller, plastic container ( which Im used to seeing opened in front of me ). They also have cameras inside their shops. So, as I previously thought, the drained, dirty oil was NOT put back into my engine, in Edison. All I ask is that the Edison crew explain better, give me all my options on oil pricing, and please get the female worker some team members that actually want to work and take some pride in their jobs. Thanks.

One of the best service I ever got in New Jersey. I got in to the facility with my car and without having me going out of car there was a guy Chuck who completed service within 15 minutes (I repeat 15 minutes). I would give them 100 stars. Very humble and down to earth guys.

They recommended I change my battery during one of my routine oil changes. I changed it. Less than two years later, the battery died. I jumped it and drove it back. During that battery check it had said the battery may die in cold weather and recommends change. The professionals at this chain and location said everything is fine, our battery is good, and if dead again will provide full reimbursement for the 5 year service. The battery died again...brought it back as instructed just to learn I was now past my 2 of the 5 year warranty and I would have to pay now. Then they proceeded to charge me $95 for the new battery at their prorated rate. I had to point out that this is severely incorrect even at their prorated charge. At the end of the day I got stranded twice due to a dead battery and then ended up having to pay for it when it should have been fixed the first time around. Never again.

Because the staff doesnt think About witch bay or how long my vehicle is before they have me drive in and the front Parking lot is to short to make the turn. The staff said well that the dodge pickup truck out side can. But that truck is 3 feet shorter than mine.

I used to go this location for 2 years but NO MORE. After going there for over year, oil leak started on my car. I had to add a quart of oil every 2 to 3 weeks and my driveway full of oil spots. When I returned to Valvoline, they said that someone placed the plug wrongly thus the leak. In order to prevent leaks, I have to replace oil pan which did, cost me several hundred $$..Be aware cuz some of their techs are not real mechanics.

They get you in and out quickly but know what theyre doing. Their computer tells them if you need a totally synthetic oil or a regular type. I love the fact that they dont try to sell you things you dont need

I had oil change at this place. It took barely 15 minutes and they checked everything about the car. Also, Nolan and Josh took time to explain me what needs to be done about the car. I highly recommend them.

Instant oil change indeed! They dont even ask what kind of service you are intending to get they assume and start right on up charging you for things you never asked for and by the end you are left with a crazy bill and a snotty manager Matt. I personally got stuck with an attendant who originally seemed great named Josh.. but all I went in there for was s tire check.. and left with great disappointment.. Terrible place and very expensive. The moment I drove the car in the attendant had an attitude. i remained very calm and proceeded to answer his questions about the car. My wife was very hot and uncomfortable so she asked if it was safe to exit the vehicle and the attendant snapped and said This isnt BK you cant have it your way here... my wife exited the car and left the shop, I told the attendant I dont want an oil change but, it was too late. They technician had already drained my oil from the car. It was a simple conventional oil change in a Honda Civic and i got charged $50. $50 for recycled conventional oil. Never again, will this place service my car. These are the type of guys that will be under your car to change the oil and probably snip something or purposely damage something so you have to pay more to get it fixed. $50 gets an oil change at a REAl Honda service center with quality materials and service. This service was done approximately (2) years ago.

The staff seemed friendly enough and they were quick with the oil change. They didnt push their other services too hard. I just wish they would have warned me that some of the clips under my car were loose and broken. A couple days after I went there my splash guard was hanging by one clip and I had to buy a new one along with clips. If they would have warned me I would have gladly paid them to install fresh clips.

This place was quick and efficient- checked everything from tires to lights and I didnt even have to get out of my car. Manager Matthew was very nice and thorough and not pushy on upsells. 20 minutes from start to finish tops. Highly recommend them.

Outrageous prices. $45 for changing the cabin filter! $61 for synthetic blend!?? Why aren’t you upfront with your prices so I can politely decline and go somewhere else? Instead I’m trapped in this box for 15 minutes while my vehicle gets improperly lubed. Never again!

Beware the upsell. Say no to everything and go to an honest mechanic. They told me I had a problem with my ac pressure and wanted $150. The young kid kept saying “I don’t know” with each question I asked.I left, called my 2 regular mechanics and they both laughed at the ridiculousness of what they were trying to charge me for.

Really nice service! Unfortunately, I cannot recall the individuals name that helped me, but he was very polite and informative. I have had experiences in the past where this chain attempts to sell many (most likely unnecessary) services, but this was a fast and thorough service that Im pleased with. There was about a 20 minute wait when I arrived, but once in the bay it was only another 20-25 minute service - so dont always expect to be in and out quickly when it may be a busy time. Great overall!

Horrible experience😲, I never expected that .😤👎👎Last week they changed my wiper blades and it was not cleaning the windshield properly. So I came back and tell them to fix that. It got manufacturing defects but he ignored to replace with new one and tried to bend wiper arm. So crazy 😲 and they said we dont have new stock and wait till next week may be later.I am saying Valvoline is not the good option, but watch you six when you visit for any maintains job. Always check the vehicle after maintains cause they rush immediately after the job done.So stay active👀, over trust may cause problem .

VERY BAD PLACE!! DONT GO THERE!!I visited this location to do a transmission service. The manager told me they don’t do full service as they claim and they only drain the fluid and add new. After they drained the fluid, he told me they don’t carry the Valvoline CVT fluid and brought a cheap CVT fluid and I had no option because they already drained the fluid out of my car.I would have given them ZERO if I could and I would not recommend you go there if you care for your car.

Beware....Bunch of scammers. I seriously doubt they even drained out the existing oil. The employee will try to distract you a lot and you are not suppose to get out of your vehicle. My new oil was totally dirty as the old oil. They did not change the oil at all.

I came here with my car and wasnt really sure what was going on... i had a guy by the name of Matt he was greattttt!!!! seriously he helped me so much. My car was having all kinds of problems he was kind enough to check it out and tell me ALL of the problems.. He told me where i could get coupons since i needed to get so much done .... Point is he was so great i wish i could take him home with me but ill just have to keep coming in to get my moneys worth and an honest opinion

Dissatisfied beyond measurable distinction. If I could send less than one star I would.I brought my car here for an oil change expecting to pay ~$30. I was never asked what type of oil I wanted. They just put in synthetic, of which I had no idea until the “technician” stated, “Four and a half quarts 5w30 SYNTHETIC, GOING IN.” No questions asked, no courtesy of an explaination why and I was charged accordingly; a bill to the tune of nearly 90 dollars.For a cool 90 bucks, here’s what you get:They never touched the drain plug but instead used a suction device in the dipstick tube. I’ve not even looked to see that the oil filter was changed but I sure hope it was as I begin to question even that after no one checked tire pressures, fluid levels, or my lights to ensure functionality; a simple courtesy well deserved for the price I paid. Two different people recommending different things and being told I need a battery when the battery production date was clearly stamped on the case. No, I do not want an engine flush just because you say my oil cap is dirty, which, in and of itself is a flimsy excuse to try and upcharge for a service that can potientially RUIN engine internals.In the end, after forking over my money, I was handed a receipt with recommendations on it and absolutely no explaination as to the reasoning behind it.I don’t think I’m ever going to return here, and I definitely will never recommend this franchise to anyone.Take your car to a real mechanic.
