TV in the room didn’t work. Called guest services several times and was hung up on repeatedly and then left on hold for an extended period. Went to the front desk to find a large wedding party with multiple families checking in. No big deal, I wait my turn and observe what’s going on. The front desk staff refused to open a labeled box at the front desk and hand out wedding favors. They claimed they didn’t belong to the guests even after being pointed out the names on the package. They went so far as to refuse the existence of the 5 boxes and to look for the other 4 boxes of wedding favors. Thank god your maintenance worker Steve showed up and was able to magically produce the other 4 boxes of wedding favors from the other side of the wall. Crisis averted! I feel so sorry for the female family member that had to endure the gross incompetence of the front desk staff while trying to explain the problem! If Steve hadn’t showed up when he did-that situation certainly would have escalated. Get back to my room, and the TV was not able to be reset. A replacement remote didn’t do the trick either. No big deal-by then it was late. Next morning I take a shower and search the room for the hair dryer. There isn’t one. Send husband down to the front desk, and they don’t have any in the building. We are here in town for business, so I will have to work all day and meet clients with messy hair. Thanks for an unforgettable stay! I understand the Covid epidemic has been rough on everyone, but as an essential worker who has to travel as part of the job I’m baffled and disappointed by the experience here at this establishment.
Could hear every single noise outside the room, including one of the elevators that went nonstop all night. The AC did not work. Couldnt get a hold of anyone at the front desk when I called. Was told initially breakfast (complimentary, as is common) would be at 7:30. Then was told there was no complimentary breakfast due to COVID but the exact same breakfast was available if you wanted to pay. Worst hotel experience.
Dirty and smelly! This hotel needs a major renovation! Stains on the ceiling and walls in the room which look like it could be from water damage. Our bathroom floor was filthy. The linen on the bed was dirty and had cigarettes burns. Only 1 of the 4 lights in the room worked. Hotel worker had an attitude after we asked for towels and washcloths and he only brought towels. And NO HOT WATER!! I definitely wouldn’t recommend this hotel.
We booked 5-6 2 double bed rooms over a month ago, for my wedding event. We got here late at 10pm to check in along with all of our guests and family and they tell us they only have king beds available for us. When we specifically asked for 2 double beds a month in advance. We have multiple people who came with us a 1 bed room is not enough for over 20 people. And they tell us they can’t help us with anything. That it’s not there problem and we have to contact are 3rd party provider. How is it not there fault when they gave away our hotel rooms??? Where literally sitting on the sidewalk at 12am trying to figure this situation out.
Positive: Newly remodeled room. Good fitness area, although the sauna is no longer functioning. Negative: Room was not cleaned one day and both wash clothes and a hand towel were taken (I wanted fresh ones) but not replaced.
Scott the Evening Host was awesome! Very caring, as we were on Motorcycles and soaking wet. He did everything he could to make us feel welcome and not worry about the dripping water coming off our clothing. Thank you Scott!
My family and I had reserved a bunch of rooms for my wedding block, and had booked them to check-in and check-out for those specific dates. The service was the worst I have experienced in a hotel industry, despite of all the planning and coordinating I had done. The rooms were not ready to be checked-in good 2 hours after the promised time of 3 pm, the front-end staff was clueless, and our requests to accommodate our family for specific room types was never communicated to the person who had temporarily taken over as a sales manager, because the previous one left employment with Sheraton without any notice or communication. Moreover, rooms with incorrect bed types were assigned to everyone who had booked there despite of booking them through the link prior to arrival. The rooms were spacious enough and the beds were comfortable, but less than sub-par service is why I am giving this place 2 stars.
Positive: The room was clean, quiet, and accessible. Negative: The hotel staff member had no idea about continental breakfast, which is a standard question to expect an answer to. The staff member stated she was brand new staff, which is acceptable to a point.
This is RIDICULOUS! never in my life have ever experienced this. We booked multiple rooms and PAID in advance for My whole family and friends over a month ago. We booked 5-6 double bed rooms and we come to check in and they only have king beds Available for us…… we all drove from all over a few families coming from Boston, few from Maryland, few from Albany. We are close to 20 people. And they tell us this is not there problem. And would not do anything for us. There telling us this is there policy. Worst part of this all my sons wedding is the next day and where outside past 12am trying to figure out this situation. We have women and children with us…. We have a pregnant lady with us…. We have the groom and bride with us…. GOD HELP US

Atleast not a single water bottle was placed in room. Dust hiding at most places. I have booked a king room but got two double bed room. AC was not working good.

My stay at the Sheraton Edison last week was very pleasant. It was very clean, and I had everything that I needed. I only stayed one night and will certainly try to stay there in the future when Im in the area for business.
Positive: price was good, room was nice, hotel is qwuiet. Negative: went there to celebrate 50th wedding anniversary. Once we got there, we found they elected to close the bar as they had to meet some religious expectations from a gathering they had booked. There were no restaurant facilities within walking distance.

Wanted to like it. The updates make it look new. Mobile app is useless here. 3 times the app says I have to show my Id to get it loaded. Beds are tiny, sleeping 2 and a kid in a room is next to impossible. Got blown off all day via app asking for an upgrade, was even willing to pay for it, no response. No microwave availability. Only cup of coffee you can get is in your room. No complimentary coffee, have to go to the cafe. Problem is no one is in the cafe. During their renovation, they obviously didnt add plugs to the room. Good luck if your working and need a reliable outlet, not some alarm clock you have to plug your whole world in to.FYI.... I am actually still staying here looking for another hotel.

Rooms are clean and comfortable, Hotel is clean.However, I have been charged $215 for residential fee to cover for any consumed/ordered items during the stay. The receptionist told me it was suppose to be $100 only, but he cannot reverse that.Coffee maker was not working and after administration finding the problem they still did not fix it.I reserved using Booking with Breakfast included but after checkin done they informed me Breakfast is only served on weekends.
Paid for a room with a king bed a month in advance for 2 days for my spouse and I. Only rooms available were rooms with 2 smaller beds upon arrival. Probably would have still given a 5 as I understand it was Labor Day weekend. However the room had a strong smell like pool water had been soaked into the carpets and half the bedding was stained yellow. They switched out the blankets quickly upon request. However it was a very very strong unpleasant smell, possibly a mold issue as the bedding on the bottom had dark black spotting. Unfortunately I didnt take photos but the room needs a thorough carpet cleaning to handle the odor. A disrespectful previous guest probably created the room issue. Room 327.
Positive: The location was perfect Negative: They gave my room away and they tried to offer me to take an average room. They kept us waiting for them to figure out the room. The king size bedroom was not spacious and there was no iron in the room or microwave. I was so disappointed for a 4 star hote
UPDATE:Later, my room was switched. The young lady on the phone wasn’t to apologetic although offered a tan, I think they could have been better customer service and a bit more understanding to my frustration. Yes I was wrong for hanging up the phone it was just very upsetting as a human being. I wasn’t rude or disrespectful in anyway but hanging up was completely wrong of me. I apologized on my be half but customer service isn’t great either. I was moved to another room and the toilet looks disgusting and makes noise. Again, I won’t be back here again.

From check in to check out was extremely amazing staff was polite and courteous room was clean and stock well only thing I didnt have was a microwave oven which reviews said would be available but I spoke to woman while getting breakfast at the bagel shop and she made a call five minutes later a microwave was delivered wow what service I was traveling with two children and needed it for sure I give Sheraton hotel in Edison a five plus rating great place to stay great staff very clean clean clean thank you all for making my family feel at home

Id definitely stay here again. Staff is very helpful & friendly. Only thing I didnt like was that theres no mini fridge in the room. As a constant traveler for my career, thats a biggie with me, but may not be for others.

Positive: The hotel was clean, but very plain and by no means a four-star accommodation. 3-stars...Maybe. Negative: The overall feeling at the hotel was that it was closing and that it was on its last legs. The fitted sheets on the bed did not fit correctly and they looked old.

Positive: That they finally had new carpet and newer Tv¿s. Negative: Yes due to the fact it wasn¿t fully renovated I was upset they had mold on the window seal. Wal paper was pulling back as that exposed the mold. It was very poor ventilation in the room as we took showers it made the room into a steam room.
Had to stay in area for work purposes and booked a room for a week. My room was on the 11th floor and I had to go to the 8th to get ice cause the machines were broken. Carpet seemed ripped and worn to the fibers. No microwave in the room so I had to go down 11 floors to the lobby by the front desk to heat up any food. The mini fridge did not keep anything cold. The staff were rude as can be and to top it off I paid almost 1,000 for a week stay in this dump. Never again.
Rooms were great but the breakfast was awful and the ladies of the night roaming the pool area were even worse.
Positive: Aesthetically, this hotel is beautiful and well designed. It has many amenities and a great location. Negative: Our room was filthy. It was clearly not vacuumed as there were rhinestones and boa feathers everywhere. There was womens foundation makeup smeared on the doors and surfaces of the table which meant the room was not properly disinfected for Covid.
Positive: Televisions internet tv Negative: This hotel room was not cleaned properly there was dirty and grime on the bottom of the toilet as well as the shower. There was only one set of wash cloths and towels. One of the beds comforters stained. The hotel itself just did not have a clean smell.

Positive: Location was easy to locate. Negative: My AC was broken so the room was extremely warm. I notified staff, they sent someone after 4 hours, and reset the system. All was good for 2 hours and then it broke again. The water pressure was not the best - hot water was low.
The hotel is clean and modern. The woman at the front desk was very pleasant and helpful.
Stayed here many times 2 years ago and the parking lot was filled with a lot of very large potholes, its far worse now. I asked the manager why it hasnt been fixed, and he couldnt have cared less.

We stayed in one the the suite on the “club level(11st/12nd fl),” for a few days in December 2020, which is during the pandemic period. Our rooms were recently renewed, the interiors of our rooms are very nice I would say. One of the screw of the shower glass door came off accidentally, but since there are two bathrooms in our room so that did bother us. I love some of the pieces like the round table and the nightstand light... the bathrooms are clean and everything looks new. And the room is very quiet which is a plus! theres NO REFRIGERATOR, and they don’t serve breakfast during the pandemic. I brought my breakfast the night before and it gone bad in the morning!!! Ugh!!! But there’s a microwave. The staffs are nice and we don’t see so many people walking around in the lobby, which is nice especially during the pandemic. I see there’s a restaurant, a bar, and a Starbucks in the back of the lobby. I can tell they would be very nice and convenient when they re-open after pandemic. There are lots of seatings in the lobby, and the setting looks nice with lots natural light. It would be great to work and have small meetings in there. Overall, I enjoyed our stay, they are terrible reviews complaining about the rooms and service. That scared us at first but non of them happen to us. I would recommend this place to others. I hope it helps!

Smell of Weed all over. Calling the reception from the Room doesnt work cuz they never pick up. We were only given 2 towels in the room and one of them was dirty. We removed the blanket the bed sheet had stains. Shower area had hair.
Stayed for a week. Courteous Staff and Clean facility. However, with no car, it is extremely difficult in these COVID times. No shuttles are operating. All restaurants in the Hotel are closed. No breakfast is available. No complimentary water bottles in the room as well. You have to call house keeping if your room requires cleaning (due to covid). Star bucks coffee in Room was excellent. Only restaurant nearby hotel which was open and walkable was Newyorks Harold Deli. Free WiFi is ok for checking mails but not sufficient for Business Meetings (for eg: screen sharing). You have to upgrade ($5 plus) for high speed internet. Sheraton/Marriot should update these limited services in the website if not done already. They should consider providing some complimentary services (free high speed, free water bottles etc) during the COVID times.

My room was fine. I trusted the brand despite the reviews and was pleased. Rooms are out dated but clearly renovation is underway and the staff is aware and accommodating. Good location for me on my business travels. Convenience and a clean room always the measure of a successful trip for me and this was achieved. Very nice staff!

Hosted a 2019 New Years Eve party with hotel accommodations. I was informed that the hotel was being renovated. I was told that my guests would be in the renovated rooms due to me hosting a party and the number of rooms reserved. The hotel staff placed my guest in rooms with a wet floor. The guest left and did not stay for the night. Another guest was placed In a room that was being renovated. The guest moved to another room and had the same problem. It took so long to get to a decent room that they missed cocktail hour. Another guest did not have heat in her room and had to move after having the heat on in her room for hours to no avail. I had the luxury staying in a suite. Unfortunately the master bathroom door did not close. I did not find about my guests debacles until the next day. The hotel should have done better with renting rooms while under construction. I am truly embarrassed by the choice I made for hotel accommodations. I would not recommend staying at this hotel while under renovation. The banquet staff was top notch.

We came for the first ever Christmas Con hoping to be able to get tickets. Maggie the bartender was so helpful and went above and beyond trying to help us locate tickets. There was a gentleman that was also working with her and the bartender that worked Saturday night. He was so helpful with both bartenders and they worked together as a team! I will definitely stay here again.

Except the service of the front desk while checking in, everything was great as expected. We booked a King bed room from a third party, the front desk didn’t check the type of room for/with us, she was just trying to give us whatever she thought it was. We asked her to make sure the room was with a King size bed, she even responded “I don’t think you booked the King size” without checking the confirmation. After ten seconds, she changed the room without saying anything... it was unexpected poor service.
At 9am room cleaning started, the walls are paper thin so you hear EVERYTHING!! Check out definitely was at 12pm so no need for the noise ! no fridge or microwave!! So be aware

It was not a good experience. The room was not clean. We had 4 people in our room and only 2 bath towels. When asked for more, you would think I was asking for an organ. One woman working at the front desk was quite rude during multiple encounters. I didn’t plan to eat dinner there however, a massive storm came through and halted our original plans. I also had a voucher for a free appetizer in the hotel restaurant. A voucher I had to ask for as our check in was delayed by an hour due to rooms not being ready. That being said the food in the restaurant was very good. Although they arrived nearly 30 minutes after the restaurant was scheduled to open, the restaurant staff were very nice and provided a good service.
It is under remodeling work, some areas are closed and the remaining areas feel old and clearly need the refresh. Workers lack customer service attitude, they will do what is needed but will not provide an experience to make you return to this place. Room furnitures disposition was weird and non functional but it has a nice really big screen smart tv.
Only gave this hotel a one because it doesn’t allow me to write a review with zero stars. This place is by far the WORST hotel I have ever dealt with. It took me 2 hours to get a room because I had to switch 5 different rooms . The first room was under maintenance with a working crew inside it. The second room was under construction the ceiling was all over the ground in the bathroom with dirty towels on the floor. The third room the air conditioning wasn’t working. The forth room had cigarette holes in the sheets and the tv wouldn’t turn on. By the fifth room the Netflix wouldn’t work but we were so exhausted with going up and down that we just stayed and called it a night. I asked to speak with manager they said that her name was “Jackie” and she would be in 7 am the next morning . At 8am I went to the front desk and asked for her they said she wasn’t in work yet. I left for work and came back on my lunch break at 12 pm. They told me that she came in and had to leave for an emergency. The front desk gave me her number, I called multiple times and left multiple voicemails. never received a call back. A few days later I came back to the hotel and asked to speak to her they said that she was out on vacation . I’m starting to wonder if this manager “Jackie” even exists.. instead they had me speak to another lady who said she was another manager Hildi. When I told her my situation she said there wasn’t anything she could do about it other then offer me another room for $10 cheaper . I originally paid $90 she said she could give me a room for $80.. 5 rooms and 2 hours later, you want me to buy another room for a $10 less?This has to be a joke ! I never write google reviews unless there good. I like to give businesses the benefit of the doubt but this was just out of control. I hope others see this and have the opportunity to avoid this stress by staying here.
Negative: There was garbage in the bathroom waste basket and the toilet wasn’t flushed. Mirror and sink was dirty and there were no bath towels. The alarm was set for 6 am so I was woken at a time earlier than I wanted to be woken.

I would like to say that I had a good experience with this hotel but it was possibly the worst experience I have had with a hotel in a long while.This was not a expensive hotel and i usually cut inexpensive hotels some slack so I will not fault the hotel that the rooms were dated and a bit run down but. they were also dirty and the bed was hard and uncomfortable.The worst part about this experience was the service we got. We had booked the room with a booking service and requested a room with a microwave and fridge in it. The room we got did not have these. We were late getting in because of car problems on the road and when we got in the room I realized that they had down pillows on the bed. My wife is allergic to down so I called down to the front desk to get them to send up foam pillow. I was told they they could not do that because if was after hours and housekeeping had gone home already. I asked to speak to the night manager and I was told that the woman that I was speaking to her and there was nothing she could do. She did say she would try and find us something. 20 min later I was in the loby so I stopped at the front desk to see if they found anything and the woman at the front desk said that her manager had just gone up to the room. When I got there I found that they had just stuffed some blankets in a pillow case and the manager that delivered them was a man. I think the woman on the phone lied to me when she said she was the manager because the manager who came to the room was a man.We got a sub-par room (even for a budget hotel). We did not get any customer service and did not get the amenities we requested, I also had to try 3 floors before I found a working ice machine. I will not be staying here again any time soon.

We were issued 4 to 6 room keys during the length of our stay and between all of them only successfully opened our door once. A staff member came banging on our door at 11:10 am telling us we needed to leave immediately or be charged another day when check out wasnt until 12. We had loud neighbors running around the hotel hallways between 4 and 8 am. Our complimentary shampoo was previously used and half empty. One tiny waste bin for a room which sleeps four people. No washcloths or a bath mat provided. The arm chair had a store bought cover on it so I cant even imagine the condition of it. The internet was down for the first 30 hours of our stay. And the pool was so gross and murky and warm. It was clear it has not been properly balanced with chemicals and it is clear we were swimming in the equivalent of a dirty bathtub. Horrible stay. Never going back.
