Wow, please do not take Patricia Duffy’s advice. Before paying attention to her feedback, click on her name and see what she has to say about what look like to be EVERY business she deals with. I am not from the area but this looks like a great place that is trying to create a warm and friendly environment for people to exercise in. It is shameful that this woman did this. Keep up the good work Welcyon. Patricia Duffy, find something else to do with those degrees than harass small business owners trying to make a difference.

A quiet place with easy to use machines which are programed for each individual using a chip card. Very friendly and helpful staff.

It meets the requirements for cleanliness, has several pieces of equipment and gives away free coffee. I quit after 1 1/2 years because one instructor showed preference to a wealthy, personal friend. He allowed his friend to harass me and call me names. How shameful - we all pay dues. I complained about favoritism and management retaliated. It would have been more professional and wise if they had apologized for how I was treated. All infractions were explicitly described in my cancellation so they know the problems. They had a great manager but terminated her and replaced her with someone who has no tact, diplomatic skills or common sense. Most recently she was promoted to VP. Its the Peter Principle working at Welcyon. They charge the highest dues while providing the least. They are closed on Sundays despite many members requesting they be opened. They allow instructors to come in to exercise on Sundays but not the dues-paying members. They also allow potential franchisers to monopolize the equipment while paying members stand in line. Members are not allowed to use cell phones while in the club. The instructors and administrators, however, can use cell phones for personal calls anytime. One manager actually spent 20 minutes on a personal call while ignoring members who were exercising. I could go on and on. They like your money but forget about you once they start collecting it. Think twice and 3 times before joining this place.Just read “owner’s” response. Yes – it is unfortunate for them. Actually your comment shows you do not use feedback to make things better. More importantly, it shows you do not care. Too, too bad for you. I felt so badly when I realized I had to cancel membership - I cried but knew it had to be done. But like a member told me - there are other places. And I found it and like it just as well and even better. The coach does not allow other members to harass me or call me names. He also does not say nasty things about me under his breath or run into my car and pretend he did not. (Just a couple examples of the egregious behaviors I experienced ) If new coach did anything remotely similar I am sure there would be consequences. Immaturity abounds at Welcyon Edina.
