My friend goes to lifetime and I was able to come on a guest visit. At first it was overwhelming and Intimating. I don’t work out and everyone there was kinda over the top….My friend took me to member services to ask about the different levels of membership and we talked with someone named Brandon. I told him I was on the fence because I’m a little bigger and wasn’t feeling accepted. He was really nice and helpful and I left feeling hopeful. Still on the fence but leaning towards becoming a member

My husband and I love this club! Every staff member Ive encountered is super professional and top notch. I go to several of the classes and love yoga/sculpt by Lindsay P, Britt Z and Peter! They have some of the most amazing teachers for their classes and it makes it so easy/fun to get a workout in. The pools (rooftop and indoor) are super nice, clean and there is plenty of space to swim for exercise/laps or to lounge and relax. Ive brought my 6 yr old niece in several times to swim and she loves the rooftop kids pool with the other kids. I think theyve done an amazing job and our experience has been great. I love the steam room/sauna and jacuzzi in the womens locker room - would love a cold plunge in there as well at some point :) I think they do a great job all around.

The Edina facility is fantastic! There are an impressive collection of amenities, including the weight rooms, fitness classes, spa and restaurants. If health and fitness are a lifestyle for you, I highly recommend it.

One star for the very small, crowded locker rooms. For being the top tier lifetime in the state, they should have better accommodation for that area. *It seems there was plenty of room allocated to the Lifetime Work area, you would think providing an adequate locker room would be a priority* I was also told the womens locker room does not have the cold plunge. It looks as though almost all negative reviews mention the inadequate locker room. Has this been brought up with management? Is there a chance this will improve?

Its the best. The club is laid out really well, they have every amenity that you basically need and its huge. Staff are on top of their game and there for needs. They have a great spa and sushi restaurant. During the summer they have two big pools and a bar to hang out at on the roof top. Yes it costs more but you get what you pay for. Well worth it

Overall impression of Lifetime Kids Summer camp is very poor. The administrative processes are disjointed, with multiple gaps in processes, and very little or no communication. The marketing materials are misleading about structure, content, and paid electives. Electives advertised at the time of registration are no longer offered, and for those that are still offered are only 3 days per week for 2 hrs per day. Staff and management were very quick to apologize about mishaps, and said they are very short staffed due to many of their staff leaving or going back to college. The registration progress was very disorganized. To ensure that I got a spot, I signed up in March for camp in August. I was told to fill out the paper application materials and dropped off in person at lifetime. After filling out the 20 page application and making payment, I received a docusign and had to resubmit everything again electronically. This was confusing, so I reached out to confirm everything was submitted correctly. When I asked why a duplicate process for registration, they said they “changed systems.” After 5 unanswered emails and 3 unreturned voicemails over the course of six weeks, I received a call that everything was received and we are good to go.We signed up for coding and STEM (and paid extra), only to find out after the first day that electives are only 3 days per week (T, W, Thu) for 2 hours per day, with no longer offer STEM, and coding is only 1x per week for 1 hr.The 7 days before the start of the camp, I had not received any instructions or directions for drop off, lunches, what to bring, and other policies. I was concerned that they had not received my registration and my son may not be on the roster. I called and could not get in touch with anyone via phone, and decided to stop by camp and speak with someone in person. I was able to speak with one of the counselors and she gave me verbal instructions and said I would be getting an email later in the week.On the Friday before camp start (on Monday), I still had not received anything. I went back to the camp and spoke with the supervisor. She said she would email me later in the afternoon. We also talked about the process for electives, and she said I would get a weekly google document sign up for electives. I told her I already paid extra for electives and included this in my sign up forms. She stated I need to re-sign up each week. She apologizes about the lack of communication, stating that they are very short staffed, due to the fact that many of their staff left for the summer to go back to college. On the Monday of camp, having still not received any email instructions or elective sign up, I dropped my son off at camp. I asked the check in staff about the elective sign up, and they again stated they are behind due to short staffing. They also informed me that electives are only offered 3 days per week, for 2 hours per day. This was frustrating and different from what was stating in the marketing materials. They said I would get a sign up later in the day or Tuesday.

I’ve been a member of this club basically since they opened, and I can say I’m a bit disappointed. I’m not a huge fan of the layout, especially in the locker room, it is just a little cramped. The steam room is very small, I would think it is decent size considering it’s a top club. My main issue however is the hours. Before COVID, the hours were good, open til 12 on weekdays and 11 on weekends. They changed their hours when COVID hit, (which doesn’t make sense to me why any stores had hour changes, not like the virus knows what time it is), But I get that. My problem is the fact that they haven’t changed their hours back. Other clubs like Lakeville recently changed back to closing at 11. A big reason I decided to sign up for this club is the fact that they closed late and I had plenty of time to get a workout in. I think it is a little ridiculous and unfair that the price has remained the same, yet they close two hours earlier. I don’t think there is an excuse for not changing the hours back to the original hours considering lockdowns and limitations are over with.

I absolutely love Lifetime and Edina is a gorgeous club. That said, I’m disappointed the women’s locker room is missing amenities the men’s locker room has access to. The cold plunge pool was such a draw for me but only to find they have one in the men’s and not the women’s. What’s the thought process there? A cold plunge can lessen muscle soreness, boost the immune system, improve cardiovascular circulation, improved hair and skin and boosts happiness. Last time I checked, women like this things too...

They came out with little necklaces they made and had fun doing crafts and activities. It was also super helpful that this gym had family changing room which is so nice with little kids. We can take our whole family in there and my husband takes the boys and I take the girls. It’s perfect. The rooftop pool is on point for adults but my kids thought it was lame for some reason. My girlfriend and I are previous Lifetime members from another location. A friend invited us to use a guest pass to check out the new facility. Upon arriving they charged us both $30 ($60 total) just to get in for the day. This was not because he didn’t have valid guest passes it’s because they made a policy that didn’t allow him to use it before 4pm on a Thursday. It’s ludacris they charge $30 per person with someone who has guest passes. That’s the cost of other gym memberships for the month!!! With that being said it’s a nice location. My initial experience as a founding member with lifetime was pleasant. The club was everything I expected it to be. However after getting billed two months in a row without knowledge that the club was OPEN thanks to lifetime’s deliberant exclusion or lack of effort to let me know I could come work out after the pandemic shutdown I felt cheated and unappreciated as a member and contributor to lifetime Edina. I had to call the front desk and Luke the membership services manager 10 times to finally talk to someone after hearing voicemail during regular business hours. I actually had to connect to the spa in order to be redirected and ultimately have Luke pick up the phone. Luke didn’t have an answer as to why I never got a single email to hear the club was open... every other member received numerous emails letting them know the club was officially open. Ultimately I received a refund for the months unattended and unaware I could use my membership. I communicated to Luke I no longer wish to continue my Lifetime membership. Luke confirmed I wished to end ties and cancel my membership. One month later I am billed again. Luke even had the audacity to email me a confirmation that my membership was canceled. Not a pleasant surprise to find on your bank account. I called the front desk from 3:30 up to 4 and no one picks up the phone. I called membership services and no one picks up the phone. The only line that does answer is the option for interest in opening up a membership.. after taking to them they redirected me to Luke the membership services manger, and to know surprise there’s no answer. I am disappointed and just sad that no one told me the club had opened for 2 months, I am disappointed I was billed 2 months in a row without my consent, and I am sad to find out Luke didn’t do what he said he was going to do.

I am a huge fan of LifeTime. I think the building is really impressive and I’m excited to see how the rooftop looks this summer. I’m very surprised about the locker rooms. The much smaller Highland Park location seems to have more room for changing, this was a massive oversight by the development team. They should also have an option for a “premium” separate locker room, if they are going to make the main locker room so small. Overall it’s a really nice gym/workout resort, but the layout needs some improvement.

Well thats great, but I dont shower at the gym and I need a cold tub! In a time of changing tables in mens bathrooms, the notion that women might actually want to have the same amenities as men seems like an oversight by Lifetime. The locker rooms are truly awful. Very crowded even during slow times. If you go Saturday morning its meaningfully worse than a local YMCA or even Steele Fitness. Lockers too small to hang a suit without touching the bottom of the locker. Review №72

Great location! Price is great if you need all of the luxury and if you use it everyday it’s 5.33 a day!! For me it’s approximately 13.33. When it comes to a gym, I look at how much I pay per day since I go to the gym a lot.Design of the floor layout has room for improvement for it’s price. If I was there for soccer and to workout, I would dislike the connection of the two, but I think it’s a really nice court. The layout of the soccer place is pretty big, the basket ball area is big. I don’t have much of an opinion on the sport area since I don’t play those sport, but that’s part of what you pay the premium price. So for the sport i’d say it’s worth it, but come and see for yourself.I personally think the place could have a better layout of some floors and specifically the locker. The best floor seems to be the rooftop although it isn’t open yet. I like the locker room, although I wish there was more room to pass people while they were changing. I prefer the layout of the locker rooms at the St. Louis park gym location for the price that it ask for. I prefer other gym’s layout of the workout areas compare to this one... however, this gym has some equipment that other gyms do not carry. And while not many seems to use them___ the equipments are actually good equipments.I am here for the workout area, so it’s a bit disappointing for the price. I think the best part is the kids area! Overall the second floor is good. The pool seems great, but I am not much of a swimmer.Depending on what you are looking for it can be overprice or perhaps perfect. Overall, I am ok with the price but that’s because I am waiting for the roof top and the location is perfect for me. Not impress for its price. I’d say it is overprice even if I am paying for it.In the end I am here and use the locker, workout area, equipment and waiting for the rooftop.I would say the workout area layout sucks, the locker are too small and seems way overpriced for me! But great equipment for the price. Happy with the cold and hot spa, small steam room, and great sauna! Not happy with the price and the gym overall, but not disappointed.

So I was on a waiting list at LT southdale way before they opened and almost signed up before the opening day but decided to wait as I was expecting it to be overcrowded as the newest “fanciest” LT in town. Yesterday a friend of mine who pays close to 400$/m for his family membership and another $300-$400/m on extras, offered to give me a tour of the facility so I can sign my family up too. We went later in the evening to avoid all the crowdedness and my friend called them in advance to ask about bringing guest. Bottom line we were told that we are past the guest time and that we won’t be able to go in due to governing “policy”. We told that it was the first time and we didn’t know and that the person on the phone told us that it will be ok to bring a guest. The girl at the front was being nice and tried to explain that she can’t make any exceptions. Though not very happy we understood that she’s merely following the rules, and we were getting ready to leave and come back some other time, when a guy named David who looked like a maintenance/housekeeping personnel showed up with bunch of towels in his giant blue dumpster bin. The girl told him about us and the guy just looked at us and said “if you want to use it come tomorrow or if you don’t want to use the facilities then do whatever you want to do”. In other words he simply told us to go have fun with ourselves without even introducing himself and what he does. Im glad I didn’t sign up for the membership and will urge all to consider customer service when impulsively handing your credit cards to be billed monthly. Unfortunately LT has gotten so big that it doesn’t care if they lose a family or two, and that culture is clearly reflected in the attitudes of their staff/employees that are most likely trained to tell paying members/guests to go “F” themselves if they’re not happy with the way things are explained to them...

I have been a member of lifetime for decades most recently the Minneapolis and Eden Prairie Lifetime Athletic Clubs. I was so excited to have a premium lifetime closer to my home how disheartening the reality of this location is with an even heftier price tag. The look of the club and amenties on paper give the appearence of a premium club, however in practice its a complete disaster. The use of space for unusable amenities (so lifetime can use the premium space for additional money making Enterprises on its member dollar) creates a cramped layout that is uncomfortable. In particular, the womens locker room, it is cramped (the lounge area they showed in their mock-up is pure fiction), there are also no full size lockers, barely any space to change, with the shower/sinks/no vanities feels more like a high school locker room than a premium club. I went at a slow time and could barely move without hitting someone. They also have almost NO resistance equipment and what they do have is crowded and cheap (lower quality than a snap fitness), areobic machines are also plasticky and cheap. (I have nicer areobic equipment at home!) There are free weights, free weights are cheap and are easily part of a home gym, why would I pay a premium price for dumbells and free weights?! The staff is way over the top (fake/hard sell) with many people on every floor sitting around with nothing to do. Trainers (at least the two that I encountered, so cant say this is universal, but my guess is they have been given a directive to push functional/free weight training to diffuse member questions/irritation and push this new low expenditure business model with additional money making opportunities for lifetime) the trainers were NOT interested in what I wanted (i.e., show me how to use the low quality, chinsey machines, they are so cheap.they wouldnt even lock in place, pretty much requiring a trainer to get through this gym) literally trying to force me to do functional training (which I did AT HOME with free weights that very morning) but rather giving me the hard sell for this new gym format with functional training (i.e., cheaper for gyms they can add more space for new money making services). I have free weights at home, I use them at home, I pay for a gym for the equipment and spa like experience I am NOT getting what I consider the bare minimum at this top tier lifetime. This is so far beneath the premium experience I have come to rely on and gladly pay for from a premium lifetime club I could not see my way to a higher rating.
