Had several companies bid a new AC & furnace install for my home. K&S was not only priced fairly, but Steve was fantastic as the project manager and very responsive. Install crew did a great job removing the old system and installing the new and their electricians also did a fantastic job and did more than they needed to in cleaning up a previous homeowner special. Highly recommend getting a quote from them if youre looking for a new AC or furnace.

My AC was not working. K&S came out and was extremely rude and gave us an estimate. We continued to work with k&s as they would come to work on the AC and leave promising us that the issue was fixed. Each time, the issue was not fixed. It took 8 more appointments before they realized they forgot to remove the packaging off of one of the parts they originally installed.We were provided a 4-5 hour time frame for each appointment, and they were late to every single appointment even when we were the first appointment of the day.Management is unresponsive and does not show respect/value to their customers. After this many failed attempts are resolving the issue, my appointments were not prioritized. I emailed management directly and received no response. It took over 2 months to finally get functioning AC. I had to take off work to accommodate all of these appointments. I was charged thousands for the service. Additionally, we showed respect for each worked that came out and tipped them generously hoping the issue was solved. After 8 appointments and tipping each time, this adds up.I will never use K&S ever again, and I will never recommend K&S to anybody.

Got a second opinion on an AC repair from K&S. The technician did a great job of explaining things and was very patient. He seemed very honest and gave straightforward answers. The repeair ended up being less than anticipated and it was overall a great customer experience.

Our ac went out when it was super hot. They told us Monday they fixed it but needed an electrician. Monday night we realized quickly the unit was not running right. Tuesday someone came and again said they fixed the unit again... once home from work we realized again they hadn’t even wired anything. Wednesday i called multiple times to make them come out.. they told me 8 am they would be out first thing. It is now 12;40 and no show! We already paid ahead as well so this is just ridiculous at this point. Do not use!

You guys always have the best service ever and a great team. I have been with K & S heating for almost 4 years and getting always outstanding services from them every time. The team is very responsive and REALLY DOES A GREAT JOB. They are always there whenever I call them. It is the time for heating maintenance and the professional K&S service technician came this morning and did an awesome job to keep my furnace functioning better. Very satisfied.

When we woke up to our furnace blowing cold air and it being below 60 degrees in our house, I hesitated to go with our HSA home warranty service. In the past, we had plumbing and heating companies tell us it would be a 1-2 week wait for a service call. Which would NOT be fun with a broken furnace!I decided to see how it went with the home warranty and was assigned K&S Heating. I submitted my claim at 5:30 AM and was called by them TWO HOURS LATER! Even before they were open for the day.Brett came and diagnosed and fixed our furnace problem in under an hour. He gave an accurate arrival time, was respectful, and even texted me the diagnosis - per my request - since I was on a work meeting call (working from home).I am so very impressed, and although our home warranty expires next month, I know we will be repeat K&S customers! Thank you!

Had a furnace that was acting up. Sometimes would start, other times wouldnt.Chris (the HVAC tech) was on site less than a day after reported, even though its the busy season for furnace problems.Chris quickly diagnosed our issue (dirty sensor in the furnace) explained how I could look out for this in the future, and was knowledgeable and professional during the visit.Thank you!!

Following installation of our AC unit, they cleaned our ducts and vents in a timely manner. We were happy with how genuine and kind they were while providing us with a much-needed service. We’ve had K&S out two days in a row. The first day to put in a radon mitigation system and the second day to inspect and maintain our 30 year old furnace.I expected them to say right off the bat that we needed to replace our furnace because of the age, but Tony was very thorough in cleaning and checking everything over and recommended we replace one (very reasonable) part to have our furnace be working at its best. He had the part in the truck and was able to do it right on the spot.We have been highly satisfied with every employee we’ve come in contact with. They have all been punctual, respectful, and efficient. They made sure all questions were answered and that we were satisfied before they left. They were able to get both jobs done within days of me calling which was very important to us. They cleaned up after themselves when the jobs were finished and were done with the jobs in the amount of time quoted. I would highly recommend K&S.

We hired K&S to install a high efficiency furnace. We chose a Lennox furnace and expressed our desire that both intake and exhaust pipes be run to the outside. They didn’t do that, but left the intake in the laundry room. In the course of arguing about why they would change how it would be done without asking us, I opened up and read thru the installation manual, WHICH CLEARLY STATED IT WAS DIRECT VENT *ONLY*, MEANING BOTH MUST BE RUN TO THE OUTSIDE OR WE WOULD HAVE CARBON MONOXIDE BUILDUP IN OUR HOME. IF I HAD NOT OOENED THE PLASTIC WRAPPED MANUAL AND READ IT, WE WOULD ALL BE DEAD TODAY. Fast forward a few years. Our furnace has died. It turns out they also INSTALLED THE WRONG SIZE DUCTWORK AND CONFIGURED BOTH INTAKE AND EXHAUST PIPING *WRONG* THUS CONTRIBUTING TO THE BROKEN FURNACE TODAY, IN MIDWINTER. Again, if you know what you’re reading (I didn’t and asked for help this week), the manual CLEARLY STATES AND SHOWS WITH PICTURES, plus the housing of the furnace SPORTS A STICKER *on top* INSTRUCTING THE INSTALLER TO CONSULT THE MANUAL FOR THE SPECIAL WAY THIS FURNACE NEEDS THE PIPES CONFIGURED. But K&S never even bothered to OPEN THE MANUAL. Now we’ve paid an additional $2K to fix the furnace and reconfigure piping PLUS will need to pay $2K more to rework the too-small ducts. Finally, when the furnace died, we called K&S, because they had done the initial work and the furnace should still be under warranty. In the FIRST MINUTE of conversation, we were informed that our warranty was most likely void, because they assumed we didn’t take adequate care of the furnace (and exactly HOW WOULD THEY SURMISE THAT?!??), so we would need to PAY FOR THEM TO COME OUT. Seriously?!? Choose another company; you won’t regret it.

We had a new furnace and airconditioner installed in our house in June of last year. We were called by K&S last week to set up an appointment to have our system reviewed and to make sure all was working well.Justin was the technician that came to our home to do the inspection. He was extremely thorough, professional, knowledgeable and found a few things that needed to be tweaked. I am so greatful that K&S provided this service to us as part of our using their company to install our new system last year. I am also extremely impressed with Justin. Many thanks to K&S for having such a fine young man in their organization.

The fan went out on our condencing unit. When I called for service they were able to get a tech out that same day. Chris, the K&S tech, was great! He was very professional, explaning what he was doing and what had gone wrong with our unit. They were diligent about grtting the new part in and getting the new fan installed. Great furnace install by the techs, but K&S is dropping the ball on customer service at the home office.It took nearly two months to get a tech out to hook up our thermostat and then they wanted to charge extra for moving it when that was what the techs said they were gonna do for us in the first place.

Great experience! Chris and Adam just left. They installed a new furnace, air conditioner, and water heater. Never took a break, removed old appliances and were done in 5 hours. They also replaced a leaking gas valve while they were here. House is warm and water is getting hot. Thanks

I went through my HSA to have my AC unit fixed. I was assigned to K&S. They came out on a Friday and took a look at my AC unit and determined the motor was fried but stated the other components were fine. They ordered a new motor and told me it would be in on Monday. They arrived on Wednesday and installed the incorrect motor for my unit that was too large. They recognized this, ordered the correct motor, but then told me I could run the AC in the meantime. Due to this, all the other components in the unit are shot. They came back and installed the correct motor and indicated that now the condenser would need to be replaced. Now, because they arent willing to own thier mistakes have determined that the unit needs all new items on top of the condenser that are conveniently not covered by my warranty and are shaking me down for $750. Do not use this company. They make promises they cant keep, screw up your appliance and then deny its thier fault when they make a mistake so they can milk as much $ out of you as possible. Scum bagsUpdate regarding response:I had multiple contractors out and all confirmed along with the previous owners of the house that the unit was 2 years old. These contractors also confirmed that running the AC with the incorrect sized motor puts stress on the compressor and this caused the failure. Regarding the Verbal Assault. Swearing once on the phone is not Verbal Assault. Its a pretty typical and appropriate reaction to a contractor breaking a 2yr old $4000 AC unit, not owning up to their mistakes then blaming the home owner for the damage. Its clear from your reviews across the internet that this is a pretty common tactic of your company. You can expect a demand letter from my attorney in the mail for the damages.

I had to redo my taxes for 2016, and I emailed K&S about how to report the purchase of a furnace installed in 2016 on my 2016 tax form. They really responded quickly with a store-house of information that was very helpful. Their prices are really good and their service is second to none!

Got a new furnace installed last Fall and was very pleased with the installation. 1 tech initially came but he needed help removing my old unit, so had a delay while we waited for the reinforcements to arrive. Once they arrived the install went very quickly except that I had to have an electrician come on a separate visit to finish the wiring. I forgot about that until I went into the utility closet quite some time later, but when I called again, an electrician came quickly and wrapped up the work very efficiently.

Insanely disappointed with this company. They completely ripped us off. We had furnace issues... so we called them. They came out, got it back working and then the next day it was out. I think the young kid had to come out 3 times. The 3rd time he recommended we needed something replaced. Our furnance was only 2 years old and mentioned it should be under warranty. Then he proceeded to mention that our unit must have been a stolen unit because there was no serial number (basically accusing the guy who installed it as a thief.) so before the kid installed the piece he told me if I can find the serial number to call back and they will make sure to refund our warranty. (He received managers approval.) We paid them $750. I’ve called 4 times and haven’t received one call back. Requested to have a manager call me back and nothing. Finally, my husband called and was able to to speak to the manager and he said there’s nothing he can do for us. This was 5+ months ago. To me this seems like stealing?!I wouldn’t recommend working with this company at all.

This is the second comment I made about this company and it is as bad as the first. The first was after they promised me a rebate on a Xcel energy credit I was suppose to get, I called numerous times to get an answer as to why not, but never called me back.Secondly, I was going to get a 1 year free maintenance check. I called to set one up. They had a two hour window to appear. They didnt show up in that time frame and never called. They ended up come 15 minutes after that and I mentioned to them that the Air Conditioner wasnt level and they agreed and would have somebody to come and correct that. It has never happened. BAD SERVICE!

I am very grateful that he is a tech with K&S Heating/Air. Told me I needed a total AC unit replacement with all new duct work and A coil (even though the technician never entered my home). Refused to provide an itemized bill of work to be done.We had a 2nd opinion and the technician quickly determined a mouse chewed through our wires, fixed it within 5 mins and its been working great ever since.

We had a full furnace and AC replacement for our home a couple months back - not only was the salesperson very professional and helpful in identifying our needs, but the install crew was very friendly, accommodating, quick, and did a great job. Our new system has been great at keeping our house comfortable through the summer, and were looking forward to testing out the furnace when it gets cool enough. The best part was the cost was really reasonable for the level of care and service that was provided. I will recommend K&S to our friends and neighbors in the future.

K&S has the best prices for furnace & A/C, you’ll find that out talking to just a couple other companies. They don’t sell you what you don’t need, they’re honest, some others are not honest (others will try to sell you new when they could repair your AC for a few hundred dollars). They’re real busy so sometimes you have a little wait but that also proves they’re in high demand for good reason.

Donny and Jacob were great!! They arrived on time, took off their shoes on our newly refinished oak floors, were very polite and pleasant to talk with and when I came home after work, everything was installed, working and the whole area was neat and clean! They worked hard on getting our 2nd zone wires run into our bedroom and placed the control exactly where we asked them to.We love the new furnace! It is so quiet and the evenness of the heat is remarkable. What a difference!Thanks!!!

I got the groupon deal for furnace and AC check-up at a great price. Being a new home owner, I know very l little about my heating and cooling systems. Molly took the time, before and during our appointment, to thoroughly describe what she was doing and how to properly maintain my equipment. From beginning to end my experience with K&S (and Molly in particular) reflected a high standard of ethics, quality, and integrity. I for one, will be calling Molly to inspect my heating and cooling systems on an annual basis from now on.

What an amazing experience with K&S Heating in Edina! We had K&S out to replace our heater, add an air conditioning unit, and run some new ducts. I was impressed with the whole crew who came out to my house. Started with Eric who organized the install and pricing, Installers (Adam, Cole, and Jamie S2) led by Adam who was personable and had the knowledge to answers all of my questions with great detail. I could tell Adams experience and knowledge run deep which also provided the comfort level I was looking for. The service was completed in one day and the timing went exactly as I was told it would. Pricing was very fair and product was amazing.I will report back in a few months if we experience any problems which I likely do not see happening! We couldnt be happier overall. Having read some scary reviews associated with other HVAC contractors, it was definitely worth going with K&S Heating. The project I feel was done right the first time and on budget. We are in the process of selling our home. During our inspection the furnace would not kick on so our realtor recommended K&S to look at it. We suspected it was that my husband had not re-installed our thermostat quite right and stated that to the repair person. He took a quick look at the thermostat and told me that it was installed correctly. While looking at our furnace he received a phone call and quickly told me that it was our control board and he needed to take this phone call and look at prices. I was very surprised and my husband and I decided to ask if another technician from the company could come look. When we called that request was denied and we were assured that was the problem by the manager who hadnt been at our home and admitted that he is not a repair person. Regardless, we had them order a control board and set up an appointment to have it installed. When the same service tech came to install it he said that he had a bad board straight from the factory several times. He asked to reschedule for a few days later and he would get a new one. We set up a time for Thursday between 10-12. He was always good about calling ahead so on Thursday at 12:15 when I hadnt heard from him I called. I was told he was running behind. At 1:00 I received a call to move our time to 3-4 instead and they would send someone else. The new service tech came at 3:00 and was here for about 40 minutes before determining that they had given him the wrong board. At this point I was frustrated! Not only had they been here twice and it still wasnt fixed, but I had also (graciously) made myself available for 6 hours for it to be fixed and would yet again have to set aside another day. After he left I called the office. I spoke to Sarah and let her know I was only available on Friday morning and they needed to have someone come out. On Friday morning I had an invoice dated the FIRST DAY they were at our home stating: Tec found a corroded terminal in old board. Ran through heat & Cooling cycles and checks out fine. New board NOT needed aftercleaning of terminal. No way to know until attempt of new board. No further work or charges needed. CO levels normal andoperation of cycles confirmed. That was NOT true at all. They had been to my house 3 times and they had ordered 2 boards. So how on earth would that be true? Not to mention I tried to run the furnace and it did not turn on. I called and insisted on talking to a manager. I spoke with Eric and it was a complete joke. He did not care in the least bit. He refused to have someone come out on Friday. He actually told me that I needed to have an electrician come out. Their company DOES electrical work. He also kept bringing up his brother and misdiagnosis that he had with his leg. He kept quiet pretty quickly when I explained that in the medical field it would be ILLEGAL to diagnosis one thing and write a note about doing something completely different. In the end we had another place come out on Friday afternoon within ONE MINUTE he had determined that the wiring in the thermostat wasnt correct and fixed it. Literally 1 appointment and 1 hour he had fixed it. I DO NOT recommend K&S. Their priority is NOT customer service or fixing things correctly. In the end our realtor was also able to get us refunded.

This was the best spent money on any in-home service Ive ever had. Excellent service for furnace and air conditioning check and service. It had been a long time since having a check-up and probably a life saving service as I had a damaged heat exchanger. No hard sell for a new furnace but my furnace had served its life expectancy and I decided to replace the furnace rather than repair the heat exchanger. Mike was the service tech for my Groupon and was extremely knowledgeable and thorough. Eric advised me on a new furnace; I wasnt pushed or hurried. My gas and electric company said they like to keep competitive and said I got a good price for a very good furnace. Cant say enough about this company and am sure you wont be disappointed!

My furnace went out this winter and given the cost it would take to repair it, it was more cost effective to go with a new unit. I received estimates from several HVAC contractors and was surprised to find that I was able to get new high efficiency Lennox furnace from K&S for less than some competitors were charging for 80%ers!! Eric was thoughtful and attentive to what our family desired for comfort, and the installers were polite, professional and did a stellar job installing the new equipment. Very happy overall with our experience, and I would recommend K&S to anyone in need of next level comfort.
