Wonderful experience with BWS Plumbing, Heating, and Air Conditioning, from start to finish. They were able to send a technician 2 days earlier than originally scheduled. They communicated well, calling and texting to let me. Now the technician would arrive within 30 minutes, which he did. Steven was terrific. He went over my list of concerns prior to starting work, kept me apprised of his findings throughout the process, and thoroughly explained what he discovered. He covered, in layman’s terms, the basics of how the AC functioned and was transparent about recommendations for cost of repair versus recommendations for product replacement. While my repair turned out to be minimal, I feel better informed about my system and will definitely call BWS in the future. Steven was courteous and informative. He left behind a neat space, turning off lights downstairs and making sure the sliding door was locked and the blinds were lowered. He also made sure I had the appropriate paperwork in my inbox before he left the site. Very happy with my service.
They were very quick to respond and it was very easy to set up an appointment. However, despite us reminding the installers several times they continually didnt wear masks inside. They also broke a door to our furnace closet and didnt tell us. Overall would still reccomend but disappointed that they didnt follow our explicit mask request.
Very efficient response system to initial questions and appointment setting. Serviceman polite and professional and knowledgeable. Thank you for high quality service.
BWS was awesome! We recently moved into a new house and had them come out to get our system ready for winter. Mike, the technician, explained everything and showed me videos or problems/ issues. They were on time, prompt, and patient in their explanations. We need to replace our existing system and I would use BWS again and have referred them to my family and friends!
I worked with a technician named Steve who serviced my Central AC unit. Steve was extremely personable, polite, friendly and knowledgeable. He went above what I was expecting by explaining in great detail how to fix the issues I was having. Steve did not pressure me in any way which was a nice change of pace from what I typically experienced. Well done!!
Ryan was fantastic! Very friendly and helpful! I appreciate him taking the time to talk everything through with me. He was polite and a great communicator. Thank you for getting the job done so quickly!
These guys were great. They showed up on time. Actually a little bit early which was nice and walk me through everything so I knew what was wrong and how it was being fixed. Also our tech Fred was very personable and friendly.
I needed 3 new toilets installed and BWS was so helpful in getting this completed for me. They were able to fit into my schedule and arrived on time! The technician was very friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful! I am not sure how their rates compare to other companies, but the service I received was outstanding. I am glad I went with BWS and will definitely use them in the future if I need any other service done.
I have a home warranty on my recently purchased home. The home warranty company contracts with BWS. The tech, Ryan G, came to my house on 6/24/21 to assess the plumbing issues I discovered after I purchased my home.He told me on 6/24 he would be requesting approval from my home warranty company for the repairs/replacements, then they would need to order parts, and once the parts arrived, would be able to schedule the service. It is 7/8/21. I have been trying to find out from my home warranty company about the delay.I was informed today by my home warranty company “regarding your plumbing request, the technician has not submitted a full diagnosis, but he did call in to advise us that this was a flipper house that was purchased as is and there was no inspection done on the home. I have requested the diagnosis from them. I will follow up with you once it is received.”This comes as a HUGE surprise to me as I purchased the home for myself, for my to live in. The housing market is tough right now and many buyers are bypassing inspections so their offers don’t get passed-over by sellers. It is definitely a fixer-upper since it was a cat and hoarder house that had been neglected for over 5 years by the previous owner. Someone prior to that owner had done quite a few DIY projects. The house has good bones and needs cosmetic work (flooring, walls, trim). I previously owned and lived in a 110 year old house for over a decade and did many of the renovations myself. I have YEARS of plans to make my new house and yard exactly what I want and need. After the purchase of my house, I had ripped out all of the cat-hair-and-grime-covered flooring, window trim, baseboards, and window treatments. And then I broke my arm. Now most of the projects I had planned are on hold as I cannot use my left arm for anything for at least a few more months. In the meantime, for my home to be ready for me to move in, I need some plumbing issues fixed that I discovered after the purchase of my home. Hence the request for repair through my home warranty that was sent to BWS.While the tech was at my house, I was displeased with his attitude and the way he spoke with me. He treated me as though I were unintelligent, didn’t know what I was asking about with my house, didn’t know what my home warranty contract covers, and was very dismissive.BWS has not performed any service. They have not followed through with making the request for approval of repair/replacement through my home warranty company. The BWS tech instead took it upon himself to go out of his way to call the home warranty company make false statements to them about me, my house, and my property.I sure hope this is not the type of customer service BWS does for everyone. But then maybe he treated me this way because I am female and have a broken arm.
Called to get an estimate for a remodel I am doing. Not a large job (probably $500-$700) - redoing the kitchen drain, new supply lines, and disposal/dishwasher install and they wanted $89 to diagnose the work plus an $89 trip charge right off the bat. I guess I understand that for a repair; but not for a remodel job when I have my kitchen taken apart. they would credit $89 if I went with them. I guess you have to pay them to find how much you have to pay them! Nice racket they have going.
The technicians did wonderful job with clear instructions, how to take care system .
Ryan, our repairman, was wonderful. Punctual, informative and quick! He got the job done, pulled the permits for us and worked with our home warranty company so that we could get a new heater quickly. Thanks so much!

Worked with BWS a few times for leaky faucets, toilets, and water heaters. They’re always on time, have great safety protocols, always able to easily explain the problem, fix it promptly, and they always have tips on what to watch out for. I’d recommend BWS to anyone!
Very nice people, but way too expensive. They charged over $500 to replace a 4 foot gas line to a clothes dryer...from the valve in the laundry room to the dryer. The parts used are available at Best Buy and Menards for a total of under $50. Yes, the plumber actually went to Best Buy to purchase the $31.99 gas line. I expected to pay $200-$250 for the job per initial quotes from other plumbers. I needed the job done and they were available. Nice people plus availability plus quality work gets 3 stars. Pricing keeps it at 3. I’m sure you can find someone to do this type of job for a much better price.
Great experience with BWS. They were able to get a technician out to clean out our sewer line on a Sunday. The tech was incredibly professional and helpful and fixed our issue. I would highly recommend them and will definitely use them again as needed.
Jack and Noah installed a new furnace and AC unit. They were on time, very professional and polite, and did a quality installation. Matt, your Sales Consultant, was awesome to work with. I would highly recommend BWS for your heating and cooling service. Thank you for a great experience.
Thank you Sam for your expertise in solving our HVAC issue. Working with BWS was a pleasure from the initial service call to the full diagnosis. Will definitely call on them for future service.
Have used BWS multiple times now and their quality work, friendly staff and superior professionalism is evident from start to finish.
Excellent service. Garrett was on time, courteous, and tidy. New toilets were installed in under the expected time. Would highly recommend.
BWC displayed consummate professional skills from Katie, who managed my calls for assistance, to Phil Cain, the master plumber who initially assessed our issues and ultimately returned to install the toilet afterHome repairs were concluded. They made a bad situation bearable.
I called BWS Plumbing and Heating because I had water leaking into my furnace. They sent a technician out the same day and he was able to locate the problem and fix it immediately. The technician was very nice and knowledgeable. I am very happy with the service I received.
The men sent to my home were very, very professional and easy to talk to and understand what they were doing and what needed to be done. They did a fantastic job.
They were able to come a full week earlier than any other shop! The technician was knowledgeable and gave great advice. Thanks!
Excellent service! Easy to schedule, responsive, and clear communication. Out technician Ryan was professional and friendly. He took a look at our water heater and flushed it out, and even called around to others in the industry to solve a mysterious smell coming from our hot water. We heard about BWS from a recommendation and I would certainly recommend them too!
They did do an excellent and timely service replacing a shower cartridge. However the charge was definitely excessive. They had me over a barrel being I was without water service till fixed and this required an after hours service visit.
Mike the technician that came out was very professional and kind. Explained every detail to me so I could understand what was happening. Would recommend BWS to anyone!
There were some minor scheduling snafus - I was told they would arrive between noon and 4 pm but the tech arrived at 8:30 am. That wouldnt be a problem at my home, but the work was done at one of my rental properties. Luckily my time was flexible so I was able to go to the house and let the tech in. Once we got that wrinkle ironed out everything went well. The tech was professional, responsive and we talked about the age and condition of the furnace. Since Im a property owner / manager I know a little more about HVAC equipment that some home owners and I appreciated candid, honest discussion about the equipment and its life expectancy. That allows me to plan (save) for replacement when the unit reaches the end of its useful life.
We had a number of plumbing issues to fix. Toilet valves, shut off valve leak in basement, replace water softener, and replace kitchen faucet. Fred Soria came on time in the AM and completed the work by mid-afternoon. We are happy home owners.
Sam is professional and helpful. He provided us many details on the systems we have. He patiently answered all of our questions. We love the service we got.
Sam was very professional and did a great job explaining my options to fix or replace an old AC system.
Fantastic service. 100% would recommend
My tech was Ryan and he was fantastic. Talked me through what he was going to check, what my options were for fixes, and did all the communications with my home warranty company. My warranty company assigned BWS to me, but I would happily use them on my own. Great work, great service.
We had a great experience with our AC tuneup. Dan was professional & took the time to explain & offer recommendations. Will continue to use this company in the future!
The technician arrived on schedule and performed the A/C repair quickly and professionally. Very courteous. I’d use them again.
Great service! Efficient, friendly, and on time. Ryan, the plumber who helped us, was a true professional.
Ryan called when he was about 30 minutes away from arrival. When he arrives he was very friendly and professional and took great respect with our home. It was clear he was very knowledgeable. We were “assigned” BWS through our warranty company and Ryan made sure that the necessary repairs he was going to complete were covered so there was full transparency. Highly recommend!
Steven was thorough and explained each step of the process. He also took a moment to let our German shepherd puppy get comfortable with him.
Heres what I loved about this business, which I had never used before: technician came on time, super polite, etc etc, and was honest in his assessment about the scope of the project in my condo with unusually high (22-ft) ceilings. He offered various options, all good. I very much appreciated his professionalism. Would definitely use again.
Very professional and helpful. Not pushy one bit. The air is cool again!
Myself, my wife and two young kids returned home from a 10 day family cabin trip in the dead of winter to a busted water meter (basically an indoor fire hose at the time...)and frozen house. We called BWS after several attempts with other companies to get someone out to our house the same night to no success.Garrett did an excellent job from the moment he stepped foot inside our home through the multiple non consecutive day repair. He treated our house as if it was his, he demonstrated we were more than just another customer and made sure we were always on the same page as to the what, why and when of the process.Needless to say, we are very happy with Garrett and BWS.If any more plumbing needs come up in the future, we will be using BWS.THANKS!
Showed up on time. We had a leaky bathtub fixture i wasnt sure where it was leaking from. Phil Knew how to fix the issue right away. Knew what to get. Was in and out. And was good with my pets being in the house. Phil did a great job. Youd never know he was here.
I had an absolute emergency with water raining through the ceiling and backing up into toilets and showers. Ryan showed up within the hour and diagnosed and fixed the problem quickly. He was extremely courteous and willing to explain everything. Would highly recommend.
Called early on a Wednesday morning because the heat went out and the had one of their consultants, Matt, out by 10:00 that morning. As suspected, we needed a whole new furnace and ac system. Matt laid out a few options with exact pricing up front, including all taxes and labor. They were able to install the next day. Shane and another tech did an excellent job on the install from start to finish. I would definitely recommend BWS to anyone in need of any kind of HVAC work.
Garrett was great. He installed a new water heater and redid some pipping. Not only was he professional he was knowledgable. I asked a ton of questions and he had an answer for each and everyone. Very friendly and was great to work with. Scheduling was great and I didn’t feel pressure to go with their service. Garrett was the one who gave the estimate and did the work. That was also a plus having the same person. Thanks again!!
My experience with BWS was great! They were upfront about cost and the technician arrived on time. I even received a text with a picture of the technician and a short bio on them. Garrett was very professional and knowledgable. I was hearing a loud pipe knocking/shudder when running some appliances, like the dishwasher and washing machine. He invesigated and found that there were no water arresters were installed. He also discovered a small leak in the angle stop for the dishwasher. He offered to quote a price to fix these issues or I could fix it myself. I went with the option to fix it myself with Garretts recommendation of what to get. I liked that he was able to explain what the hammering noise was caused by. As a first time home owner it gave me peice of mind that my plumbing is OK. Also the woman answering the phones, Katie, was very pleasant.
This is my second time getting services from this company, and it has been great experience both times. This time it was an AC tune-up, and techchnician Mike V. arrived right on time and was very professional and did a great job. Absolutely no up-selling or hidden fees.
The home warranty we have matched us with this contractor for some toilet repair work. Very professional and thorough. I especially appreciated the text to let me know the tech would arrive soon. The text included the techs first and last name, their photo, and a little bit about them. This was a really nice touch!
Sam arrived on time. He was very polite, wearing shoe coverings and mask. He explained what he was going to be doing and the approximate time it would take. After finishing he explained his finding with us.
Competent workers and respectful of our space. Explained everything they did. Very quite as they worked. Thank you for your service.
My experience with BWS was great from start to finish. They are courteous, responsive and respectful. I’d recommend them to anyone who has issues with their furnace or AC system.
I had scheduled an appointment for Saturday. I scheduled the appt the Wednesday prior. They never showed up and never called. I called 3 times on Saturday, each time they told me I would receive a call within an hour, never received a call. Sunday comes around and I call again, they then escalated my call to “emergency” since we were under a heat advisory and again I was told I would receive a call in an hour. Never received a call. I called 2 hours later and they told me the same thing. Today is Monday the 7th, I called, they told me I would receive a call in an hour. I called again and now they can’t schedule someone out until the 16th! 3 no call no shows in a row and now 9 days out in a heat advisory. Not only is that terrible business but the customer service I received was complete trash. They were so rude and kept trying to brush me off. They are completely incompetent. What a waste of my time.
Came out and gave us excellent review on the leak y facet in downstairs sinkThen he gave advice he didn’t expect to give on our upstairs bathroom leak
Overall mixed experience. Previous owner of our house had BWS install HVAC system so I figured why not call them for a tune-up. Pricing is all over the place. When I called they wanted to charge me 90$ to come out and 90$ for the tune up, but when I dug a little deeper they offered to do a Tune-up deal for 50$ each for our main HVAC and also to look at our old natural gas heater/wall unit. There was a question about whether the old heater was leaking gas so they offered to squeeze us in right away even though they were booked out a month. Unfortunately the technicians showed up 1 1/2 hour later than the 2 hr window they provided and I had to call to find out if they were still coming. Technicians were very nice and thorough and even explained in detail how to maintain my systems. However, they left the AC inoperable because they forgot to plug something back in correctly after hosing down the AC unit, which was a huge inconvenience for my wife to deal with on a hot day while I was at work. Finally, they kept trying to sell me on their 20$ per mo Comfort Club and even told me they could not tune up my HVAC system to %100 efficiency without an additional $100. They said that if I was part of the Comfort Club it would be free. I was surprised given that I thought I paid for an HVAC tune-up.
Efficient and effective. Knowledgeable and extremely helpful.
Isaac was great and got us up and running quickly.
Our home warranty company arranged for BWS to come out to replace our valves. The tech was friendly, on time, and followed safe COVID protocol. Super happy with the service provided. 10/10 would recommend them.
We were extremely happy they sent a service man out so quickly. He (Mike) was very thorough and explained exactly what was wrong with our furnace. He was friendly and respected the CoVid protocols at all times. We will certainly use BWS again!
Repaired and replaced our water heater that was less than a year old but was faulty. Very responsive, professional, and helpful in answering some additional questions I had. I will keep this company as my primary contact for pluming and HVAC needs.
Mike was very knowledgeable, friendly and timely in tuning up our furnace and replacing our 17 year old humidifier. He took extra time to thoroughly answer all my questions.
BWS is a great company and I highly recommend them! They stand by there work and do a great job!
Quick. Awesome. Great customer service! Even after hours on call. Now my AC is working lol.
Our plumbing was causing issues and not draining from the tub. Ryan was quick and knowledgeable! Very nice! would highly recommend! Very nice showering and not standing in a lake of water. Thank you!
BWS and their team was responsive and communicative throughout the entire process. Not only did the quickly get my appointment scheduled, but they emailed and texted my confirmation, as well as when my tech was en route. Plus my tech clearly explained everything he was doing and why, then detailed it for me in an email for my records. This was the most painless and transparent home repair Ive ever had!
Garrett was exemplary at handling the problems we were having
Very friendly and professional..Clear information on what was needed and did what they said. Will use them again in the future!
Very knowledgeable and pointed out some things that would make our industrial humidifier last longer.
Called this morning and Ryan was here before 12 noon to get our boiler working again! Such a great guy and love the company.
Very professional and knowledgeable. Thank you for answering all of my questions!!
A routine furnace checkup lead to a couple of issues that needed to be addressed. Sam explained everything and took care of both issues. BWS is now my go to for anything furnace, AC or even plumbing. Customer service is amazing!
Did a great job. Fast and thorough service. 100% responsive to the issue that we were having. TY!
Ryan was out this morning to replace the motor on top of the diverting valve for my HVAC unit. He was kind enough to call ahead of time and verify the problem so he could bring the part with him instead of making two trips. He was very nice, a pleasure to talk with, and got the work done quickly and professionally.
Excellent service from initial call to finished repair
Super friendly, got here before they said they would be able to come replace a water shutoff valve. In and out in less than 20 min. Couldnt have asked for a better experience.
They installed a garbage disposal and kitchen faucet. Service was professional, courteous, polite, on time, etc. I highly recommend this company and the installer. This is terrific. Thank you. They made my day!
Provided a wealth of information as well.
Ryan was outstanding and on time and was able to get us in right away. Had a new water heater installed in no time at all.
Very professional and friendly service. Called to prior to arrival and cleaned up work area. Job completed quickly.
BWS provided a competitive quote and recommended a great solution for a mini split AC unit and garage heater. Had I gone with a competitor I would have paid much more for something with worse performance. Matt provided the initial quote and I appreciated his knowledge and tact. He has done many installs himself and steered me in a new direction based on sound technical advice and his years of experience. The techs, Luke and Shane, were professional and hard-working and were receptive to changing the location of where we wanted something installed after they had already done some of the work. Overall it was a great experience, the price was fair, and I would use them again. I can’t recommend BWS enough.
Highly recommend! Great communication, great suggestions and help! Will be working with BWS going forward for sure!
Great service and professional technician!
BWS is by far the best HVAC company I have used. Their techs are super professional and so great work. I have had them install a garage heater and a humidifier and they were greet to work with from Robin in sales to all the techs. Highly recommend for fair price and great work.
Excellent service three drains cleared with care and attention to detail. Fred explained each step and answered all my questions which helped me make decisions about what I needed to have done and what I didnt need. Carefully cleaned up after each job. Very satisfied!
Scheduled a service call 1 day in advance for a minor emergency. Customer service responded to my email very quickly and was very helpful. Service technician arrived early (but alerted me), and solved my problem quickly while explaining the process clearly. Relatively quick and painless - would definitely work with BWS again!
A+ service as always, Ryan was on time, professional and installed the new water heater within a few hours. Highly recommend using BWS for any HVAC needs.
The best service I could ever imagine.
The team was great. Fast and easy to estimate and schedule, stunningly on time, professional and courteous, doing good work and consulting with me on what they were doing without overly involving me. Luke seemed particularly easy to work with and would absolutely hire them again.
Garrett Schmitt came to repair our garbage disposal. He looked and acted very professional thru the entire visit. He was knowledgeable and immediately identified the issue and knew the solution. We also were pleased to see good Covid posture, with having a mask and protective footwear. We are very happy with the service Garrett provided. Matter of fact, it might of been the best ever. Thank you so much for fixing our disposal and kitchen faucet! My wife and I would definitely recommend BWS to others... and especially Garrett! Thank you!
Pretty upset with the lack of communication, been using them for years without issue and in two days I get, so sorry they just got out of a meeting after missing an appointment time and then next after telling me I would get a status update from the tech or the manager. The receptionist is very nice and the techs made a liar out of her unfortunately. After waiting 24 hours for, one of them will call you right away I had to turn to Tiger nearby in Eden Prairie who came out same day, diagnosed it correctly and communicated and presented themselves on time which is huge for a busy office like mine. BWS youve lost a loyal client for nothing less than basic communication, I hope you get it back together.
What a great experience! We purchased a used home in December so we needed the ac unit checked out. Dan was on time, I loved getting a text with a description of the tech and a picture. He wore a mask the entire time which was probably best seeing as how dirty or appliances were. The technician made recommendations but didnt push us to hard on making a huge purchase on the spot. Very professional and a truly great experience
Mike was professional, detail oriented and friendly. He also took the time explain everything he did, and some general tips about simple things we could to do keep our furnace running for the future.
Amazing company!Dan was outstanding and I got signed up for the monthly program and could not be more thrilled!
BWS replaced my water heater, and 3 days later it leaked overnight and flooded my basement. They will not respond to the restoration company to pay for fixing the water damage in my basement, so Im having to file a claim with my insurance to get them to take responsibility. I had held off writing this review because all of the employees I have dealt with have been nice and professional, but it appears the owner of the company does not feel responsible to make this situation right, so it will take up more of my time just to have my basement put back together.
Sam was on time and very professional, yet friendly. He took time to explain my options and offered a follow-up call. His work area waa neat and tidy when he left so there was no mess. If I were looking for an employee for my company, Sam would certainly have the attributes of a desired applicant. Your company waa well represented by him!
What a scam. $180 for nothing. I had to pay $90 for them to come out, and $90 for a “diagnostic fee”. Yes the diagnostic fee is waived if you move forward with the recommended repairs .... Well my water heater was working fine at the moment, but has been shutting off randomly. So since there was no ‘error code’ on the heater, there was nothing for him to do, no recommended repairs. Yet I was still charged a fee. I called them later and was told I would get a call back... nothing. This was the second time I called them. I had to reschedule because the last time no one showed up in the specified time frame, without any notice that he was running late.
Luke was absolutely wonderful to work with. You can tell he takes pride in what he does. He did a great job with our new high efficiency Furnace and AC install. The system works great, and he went above and beyond to make sure the new set-up looks clean and organized.Additionally, I wanted to move the location of the new outdoor AC condenser unit, which created some complexities that he was able to solve with grace. He took the time to take me through all the features of the system which was incredibly helpful. He was also very considerate regarding the Covid situ. He and his team were always wearing masks, which we appreciated because we have someone who is immunocompromised in our house.Id 100% recommend Luke for future jobs.
Very professional. Would recommend to anyone. They also have a maintenance plan that is low cost. Great and kind service!!
We got a well timed mailer for water heater cleaning and was happy to work with the company. They sent schedules and arrived on time and got the job done quickly. I will definitely continue to look to bws for plumbing issues in the future
All seemed to work well. Thanks to you tech Dan
Dan showed up on time, tuned my furnace before the Arctic Blast on Super Bowl. Great price too.
