I went in with a picture from my previous perm and ask for the same thing. When the rods were being wrapped the lady wasnt careful enough to make sure she got all the hair so when finished I had little hairs sticking out everywhere. This wasnt a big issues so I just got over it. Once the whole process was done I realized it was way tighter and curlier than I had asked for. Which again I got over it because it will loosen over time. But as my was drying, after I left, I noticed that the bottoms of my hair didnt take the curl as much as the top. But worst of all there is a piece probably about 2 or 3 curlers worth that is still pretty much completely straight, which she should have noticed when taking the curlers out. Overall, I get I got what I paid for and I knew I shouldnt trust the Walmart Salon. DO NOT GET PERMS AT THIS SALON.

I went in today to treat myself and I barely ever do I normally do my own hair but these girls rocked really did a great job and then even went above and overboard for me and they even came over to Sallys when I couldnt find the right hair color to match up my extensions so really you girls rock there keep up the good work youre appreciated

I went in for a bang trim and they squeezed me in right away which was good. The lady seemed like she was cutting off a lot of hair and it turned out to be pretty short with layers. I did not want layers in my bangs. I wish I could post a picture because she missed a whole huge chunk so now I have to cut it myself. It was way overpriced for the job that she did.

No complaints at all.Place was clean and sanitized after use. Stylist was professional and interested in what I wanted and listened.Shampoo and head massage was included in the price of the haircut.So enjoyed that.Get a present for yourself and visit Smart Style.This was my first time there and I will go back!

Worse experience ever. Sandy was not professional at all. Rude, did not care to listen to what my mom was looking for. As my mom tried to explain to me what she wanted for her haircut so I could explain to sandy, sandy kept rushing her to sit down and to talk later. My mom sat down, all sandy asked was how short she wanted her hair. Showed her, and I tried to explain the style to sandy and ofcourse, she just blew me off and told my mom to stand bc her hair was too long which that us understandable. But this lady does not take the time to listen to what the customer wants. She does as she pleases. Worse person to cut hair with. My mom was just too nice and tipped her. I wouldve told sandy to just drop everything and walked my mom out. I would never tip anyone like her who doesnt care to listen to what a customer wants especially when it comes to hair.

Absolutely terrible!! Went in to get a quick bang trim. Had to wait 30 mins, no problem! I told the stylist I would like bangs and some extra length on the sides (slightly layered). I had to tell her 4 times to cut it shorter! She still messed up! What a chop job! I went home and fixed it myself. How can a professional not even cut bangs? I regret even giving her a tip. Worst hair cut ever, I will never go there again!! What a terrible waste of time & money!

When you arrive at the salon, follow the instructions on the front door.Please note that this is an estimated wait time and there may be a short wait when you arrive.When I arrived at the salon an hour before closing was told that they no longer are accepting customers. This was literally 10 minutes after getting the text message.Very poor customer service and Integration of technology into there business.

We stopped In to get our childs hair done before we went to go get some shopping done ! I normally dont get on here for complaints but I am truly upset! She was so rude to my son and kept saying she had another appointment she was in a hurry to get too ...... first off when your dealing with a child you dont rush !!! Second she kept getting upset like huffing and snickering at my son cause he would look up or something and he did amazing !!!!! She kept saying I needed to help her cause he wouldnt sit still .... again HE DID AMAZING. I am so extremely unhappy with how she reacted to my son sitting in that chair ... to the woman who did my sons hair SORRY TO BE AN INCONVIENCE ... we wont come back again. !

My wife and I are new in town, and my hair was starting to curl on the ends - time for a haircut. Id been going to the same barber for 22 years back in Cincinnati - it was tough leaving her! So, finding a new barber was a shot in the dark.While we were exiting Walmart we happened upon the SmartStyle Hair Salon right by the entrance. They were free for appointments, so we both sat in chairs. My wife with Jean, me with Tina. For a very reasonable price, we each got our haircuts. My wifes hair is particularly thick, but Jean took the time to do the job well. I have less hair, so trimming it was a snap for Tina. She also took the time to trim the hair on my neck and eyebrows, like my former barber did. I gotta say, I think we found our haircutters.

I gotta say, the last few times I was there, I was not impressed. However, my visit there today was much more improved. My stylist, Tina, was very proficient and on top of things. She did a great job. Things seem to be running more smoothly there-no more dismissive attitudes or run-arounds. Thanks Smartstyle :)

Do not go here if you want a hack job!!!! My hair was destroyed she didnt listen to a word I said not one asked for a freshen to the ends she cut six inches off!!!!! I didnt want layers she layered my hair!!! I went from waste length hair to mid back shortest length chin. If you dont want to be listened to have your hair complained about and hacked at thus is definitely the place to go!!

Had a scheduled appointment for color as I was seated and doing a conditioner treatment the lady said the color is canaceled and I need to reschedule. Rescheduled for the next day, the call me to tell me yet again my appointment is canceled and the only person they had on hand was a girl who could only ae retail. Why keep the store open if youre just turning away costumers...

Everytime I go to smart style in Eau claire. There prices change. My roots never match my hair. I am very unhappy with this place. I am stupid for going back as many times as I have.

Tina is freaking amazing!!!! She took my box black, thick as hell hair and turned it into a beautiful blonde Ombre in two visits with virtually no damage and did an super cute shaped cut! (Dont get unrealistic ideas people, earth wasnt created in one day, and neither is box black hair to a stunning blonde ombre!) Im extremely thankful to her, she definitely built some muscles styling my hair lol! She also did an amazing job on my sons hair! Thank you Tina! You rock!

Worst experience ever, I have had a lot of people tell me not to go here because they wont give you the haircut you want, they mess it up. That the people are very rude. Well I went in today to get my sons hair cut. Well we got there off the back the lady was rude. Then she asked what I wanted I showed her a picture and she said no its a waste because the top would still be long so I gave in and went with somthing a little shorter and she still was trying to refuse. Well she started and my son had just got done eating and must have got somthing in his hair (thats my bad) but then she treated my son like he was diseased or somthing. Well she rushed threw the haircut does not look like what I wanted. I WILL NEVER GO BACK. BE WARNED THEY ARE EXTREMELY RUDE!!!!

Horrible experience I gave them a picture of what I wanted done and it was not even close and it was more orange then anything and I said I wanted chunky highlights and it was all blended. Manager was very rude! Would never go back
