Great clean gym. Nice people...... my healthy happy place!

Very clean and all new machines! I really liked this location.

I’ve been attending planet fitness for almost 8 years. I’ve lived in Providence, Pawtucket, Warwick, and now East Providence. I must say the East Providence facility is by far my favorite one!. The gym is always clean, plenty of equipment to use ( even during covid) and the staff by far are top class. They greet you when you come in, when your leaving and they even take the time to talk to you and let you know the progress they see coming from you. I have to give a shot out to Camron, young kid but you know he takes his job seriously. Keep up the great work! ! East Providence planet fitness number 1 in my book.

Great large new Planet Fitness location. Many more machines than the old Seekonk location and the setup of the building is much better. Large fans on the ceiling to help air flow and also large TVs. Staff is friendly and helpful, recommend coming here. 10/10 A+

Pretty well managed and clean. Everyone makes sure that the equipments are sanitized after they are done using them.

IT WOULD HAVE BEEN BETTER IF THE TOWEL STATIONS WERE PLACED AROUND ALL THE GYM, AND WE DONT HAVE TO WALK HALFWAY ACROSS THE GYM TO GET CLEAN PAPER TOWELS..

Let me stay off by saying the facility is the cleanest planet fitness I’ve ever been to. The manager Dj is so personable and make sure that the entire facility is safe by managing the amount of people in there at all times to managing that the equipment is all sanitized. I’ve seen him go above and beyond on numerous occasions. This is one of the best locations I’ve ever been to

I am very disappointed by the poor communication of this gym! Every month my membership and my husbands were charged from my credit card without problem! but for some reason I also saw that 10 dollars were charged from my personal account for fees! I went several times to find out why and there was never the right person! so I let it pass without knowing the reason! yesterday I canceled my subscription and they made me an additional charge of 39 dollars for fees! I called on the phone and the reason they gave me was that my bank details were wrong and thats why they charged me fees every month! My disappointment is that nobody ever told me anything? I never received a letter or email and as I always saw the payments for the month I never knew if something was wrong! I find the lack of communication and customer service disappointing!

They do everything to make sure everyone is happy and safe..u have a good feeling when u work.out..very safe great..staff

Ever since joining last year, I have always been extremely happy and welcome at the Seekonk Planet fitness. It works out great for my work schedule. Kyle, Justin and all staff are always pleasant, professional staff and make everyone feel welcome. And since I started working with their personal trainer DJ, I can’t praise and thank him enough. He is an awesome guy who knows what he’s doing and takes interest with his clients. He has been a huge help in me continuing to loose weight which ever since I started I’ve gone from 290 to 235, I’ve toned slimmed down and continue building muscle. He’s a phenomenal asset to PF. I have certainly gained an awesome friend as well and that means a lot to me. Thank you DJ and Thanks to everyone here! You won’t be disappointed

Great way to start 2021. Everyone socially distanced with masks! Felt completely safe!

So even during a Covid-19 pandemic, these greedy unreasonable people still wont let you cancel a membership over the phone due to a required signature !!!! Havent walked in there in a year and still hit me with $40 fee after telling me months ago my membership was canceled over the phone months ago. I wont even go there for free going forward.

Planet Fitness in East Providence, RI denied me service due to not wearing a face covering/mask due to my medical condition. I have traveled to multiple states since this pandemic started and have never been denied service in any private or public place. If someone questions me, I simply say Im sorry I cannot wear a mask in a very respectful way and keep it moving. I cant believe of all places, Planet Fitness would discriminate this way. The assistant manager had the audacity to ask me what my condition was as if she wanted to know if I was lying or not. Last time I checked she wasnt my doctor, not to mention she kept pulling the mask down exposing her nose every time she went to talk. This is wrong in more ways than imaginable. Just because the injury isnt visible doesnt mean it doesnt exist. I will continue to stand up for my rights and the rights of all American citizens and this wont go unanswered. I expect this to be reconciled.

The gym was fine before they implemented mandatory mask wearing AT ALL TIMES. I had to stop my workout way earlier than usual because I kept getting light headed during my weight lifting routine. It doesnt make any sense to allow the masks while ONLY doing cardio. Lifting increases your heart rate too. You would think the managers of a gym would know that. Ill be Cancelling my membership ASAP and investing in other gyms who have common sense.

I was just there (Wednesday afternoon, November 4th) and of the 30 or so people in there, less than half were actually wearing masks....The very few workers that actually came out from behind the desk to walk around didn’t say anything to those not wearing masks. In the current state, this is just unacceptable.After months of avoiding the gym due to Covid, I finally decided today to go because I thought Planet Fitness would follow CDC guidelines AND their own “masks required at all times” policy which was plastered all over the place.Needless to say, this completely turned me off from returning to this specific location. Hopefully I don’t get Covid as a side effect of my workout here.

Outstanding staff and cleanliness!!! We were previous members at the Seekonk location prior to rejoining in East Providence. This gym is one of the best in the area, equipment is always operational, the staff is always courteous and available for questions. During this unprecedented time the manager has ensured both clients and staff follow protocol and ensures the well being of the members. This location examplifies the Planet Fitness brand and should commend the manager!

Location has a better set up now for location of locker rooms. More equipment. Facilities are always clean and the staff are friendly that Ive encountered.

The facility is new and has all that I need to do my workouts. The staff is friendly which is refreshing. I know there are free classes offered to all members, but Im yet to sign up. I registered during the sale period and have a no-fee cancelation contract. All in all, I have no complaints.

Ive been going to this gym for a couple of years now and Ive always had such a good experience here. Its such a positive and motivating environment. I always look forward to working out because the staff makes everyone feel so welcomed. Michaela is so helpful/ friendly to all of the members and is extremely personable. Also, the manager, Josh, is so outgoing and makes everyone feel really comfortable. I highly recommend this gym.

Lots of exercise machines and clean

Im originally from the Warwick Planet Fitness, but I visited this location with my friend and was very impressed by how clean it was. The night staff is very cool and friendly. Michaela is very friendly, makes everyone smile when they come in, makes everyone feel comfortable, and she does her job well. Pearse was very enthusiastic and was very welcoming. He was also very informative when I asked him some questions. Great worker. It was a great experience. Would highly recommend this gym to all!

I come here everyday and Ive noticed in the time that the new manager Josh has been here the staff has seemed much more friendly. He was so friendly I thought maybe I knew him and didnt remember. This made my gym experience all that much better! I highly recommend this location to everyone.

Clean facility

The staff is very friendly and they are willing to help you. When I signed up for my membership, Kyle helped me and was super nice. The gym itself is very clean and well kept. The machines are new, but even the ones that arent brand new are in great condition. The girls locker room is clean all the time. I would recommend this PF location to a friend.

Planet fitness came a long way! Last time I went in was in 2011 or so but I was pleasantly surprised!

I think it is risky for COVID as most people not wearing mask properly or at all.

Good basic equipment, but often messy and unorganized. The stand up tanning bed often don’t have all working bulbs ( they won’t be replaced for months) and are dirty. The tanning rooms are not the only dirty area. When something breaks it takes way to long to get it fixed. The staff is friendly which is a plus. But I have been to much nicer planet fitness locations.

The staff is friendly and attentive, with a good sense of humor. The gym and locker rooms (well, at least the womans locker room) is kept clean, and the equipment has all just been updated, so everything looks so shiny and new!! I love going here every day!

I travel a lot and I have been to a lot of gyms across the country. When I came to this planet fitness, I had a great experience. The staff here was very friendly and helpful, particularly Kyle and Tim. The gym itself was super clean and organized. I cant speak to the cardio equipment, but the weights, cables and machines worked just fine for me; there were plenty of them. I wasnt there at peak hours but, again, a great experience overall. Nice work.

I love Planet Fitness the staff is always friendly and for $10 a month you can visit one location as your home location but for $20 a month you can order I think 21 now you can visit any location and you get free chair massages and free tanning its pretty awesome.

This gym is great and I hate to give it a low rating but I’m going to because of payment and charge issues. I went to apply, was only there for about a month and I left on a positive note towards Planet Fitness. Then about a few months later, I’m trying to reapply and it’s 49 dollars for reapplying and 39 for an “annual” fee in February. Including 10 dollars a month, that’s almost 100 dollars for two months. And this “annual” fee is really absurd because they were going to charge that annual fee a month into me joining the first time in September. The term “annual” means “yearly.” And that’s how they should charge it, by year. Not make up a month to charge it just to extract extra money than this “10 dollars a month” advertising that they shove down our throats. Nice try guys.

THIS LOCATION NEEDS ‘WiFi ‘ It’s 2019 and Wow your the only gym in this area lacking this service. Save the $59 on free pizza and coffee and order COMCAST.Guests can use it as a fitness tool just like your physical equipment. It enables access to excersise form/ procedures, health monitoring and motivational entertainment, access to emergency contact/all around general safety! OWNER/OPERATOR please consider. IT will compliment your already GREAT staff & Facility.

I chose planet fitness because of the hours on weekdays. I even got the black card which allows you to bring a guest even though I don’t always bring one and don’t use the tanning beds. They have a lot of machines for cardio but disappointed they don’t really have any good areas to sit and stretch and no wifi. I also had a lady with blue/green hair cleaning the women’s locker room ask my friends and I to “wrap it up” because she was cleaning which we found extremely rude since we were only in there for 10 minutes changing and getting ready to leave. Plus it was only 10:30pm on a Tuesday which they are open 24 hours on. There are no signs saying they close the locker room at any time and I pay planet fitness to be able to workout and use the locker rooms. After that experience I will definitely not be coming back after my 12 month membership ends.

The front door is always broken. The air conditioning has been broken for months. I try to work out in the morning before work, but it is so hot in there, you sweat while trying to get dressed for work after showering. The shower drains are constantly clogged. By the end of a 5 minute shower, you are standing in 3 inches of water. Ive been to several PFs and this is not the norm. Not sure why they are letting this one fall apart, but either fix it or shut it down.

A good value fir what they offer

I was at Planet Fitness a while back, and I felt like the gym is more for beginners who are self-conscious. I much prefer WOW and feel like the people there are non-judgmental and everyone is approachable. Just the other day I felt self-conscious and was looking at this guy who is fit because he looks better than me. I looked back at him, so instead of being awkward I said hi. We ended up talking about Netflix. WOW has a greater diversity of machines, too. And common, the colors remind me of a kids playground lol, especially with the lug machine. I can see why the place is so big and sells, but WOW is better if you start to feel like getting slightly more serious about fitness.

The only reason I even gave 2 stars is because the young lady in the morning is fantastic, although I havent seen her in a little bit. However, i have managed gyms in the past. I have experience in training, memberships, and sales within the gym. The staff here isnt friendly. They do not feel approachable considering they constantly have earbuds in. The cleaning lacks so bad. For the last 3 weeks Ive seen the same dust under the dumbbells and I dont even know the last time they cleaned the mirror. I am here because my gym is temporarily closed otherwise I wouldnt be here at all. I have the black membership so i can use other locations and part of that membership is half off drinks. I am always charged full price. When I walked in to join I was never given a tour, he never sat down with me. He stood behind the counter took my money and said bye with 1 earbud in. I dont know who manages this place but shame on you for allowing your staff to make members feel uncomfortable and unapproachable. Not to mention all the people wearing just sports bra and leggings or shorts. So I cant weaar a string top but its okay to wear just a sports bra?

Beautiful new club with a ton of equipment.

The gym is mediocre for a gym. Its basically machines and weights. There is no classes excpet a weight trainer that really doesnt do one on ones. I like it for what i need on a rainy day basically a treadmill and bike. There are showers there but that is the changing room so when you change there the floor is wet. The showers didnt look clean to me.If you want a cheap gym just for machines then you found your gym. There is no gym lunks like they like to say. There is tootise rolls in the front if you want a quick treat.

Update April 10 2021 : Since Covid Plantet Fitness has relocated to a better facility.

During my college break, I went to this planet fitness. The facility is nice and the staff is incredible, specifically Ciara.

Few decent staff members, but this gym has gone very far downhill. I travel for work and have visited gyms in every state to include many PFs l. I can tell you that this one is among the worst. While generally clean and well maintained, they seem to work especially hard to limit your comfort or ability to actually get a full workout. If you are young and fit and your intention is to lift and challenge yourself and grow, this isnt the place for you. If you are older or out of shape and your intention is to do cardio and work on machines, you may be in luck.

Planet fitness. What can i say?

Not super busy so you never really have to wait for the equipment you want to use. They do *not* have a squat rack other than the Smith machine which doesnt make me happy but its okay.

I figured Id write this to correct a review I previously read. I travel for work and am very into my physical fitness and tend to shy away from PFs because I like to lift heavy and have an aggressive work out routine. I almost drove 4 miles further to a different one after reading that this one was awful which is far from the case.This is a great gym for every lifter. (Aside from the fact the dumbells max out at 75# and theres only smith machines for bench presses which is expected at any PF) They even have combat ropes. The staff was not rude or disrespectful at all and I had a great workout. I will continue to go there while Im in this area for work.
