The guys at this location are awesome. Every time I come I am never disappointed either they fix it or tell you it’s not worth fixing. If I could give them more then 5 stars I would.

Had a great experience at Charging Port.Sadly, my equipment was unable to be repaired. However, the technician took the time to disassemble my turntable and inform me that the circuit board was inoperable (all at no cost).It was very kind of the technician to take a look at an unconventional piece of equipment, which is contributing to the 5 Star rating.Most places I called did not want to help me or even give me a location to to repair my turntable.I will definitely head to Charging Port for any issues I have with more traditional electronic equipment.Additionally, the young man at the front of the store was extremely professional. He was very friendly upon my arrival and also cleaned my equipment before my departure.Definitely check them out for any issues with your electronic equipment (their rating was the main reason I contacted them).

Good place, fast turnaround, pleasant service, and I really appreciate them. Prices are on the high-end of reasonable, but my main gripe is the failure to return all fastener screws to the device. In most recent visit, 3 of out 9 retaining screws were not put back in. This may sound minor, but this detail is not too much to ask for a place that does this kind of work.

Charging Port has been the biggest blessing to me - not only have they fixed my laptop multiple times (thanks Apple) but they are quick and easy about the whole thing. Every time they’ve gone above and beyond, even fixing what other repair places couldn’t. Today I took my computer in to get two keys fixed and they did it for free in 3 minutes. Seriously so great.

My MacBook Pro would not power on and the fan kept getting progressively louder. I initially took it to the Computer Cellar who ran a diagnostic test and said it was most likely a motherboard issue. They referred me to Charging Port for the fix who took less than 24hrs to diagnose/replace the motherboard for $160. Very pleased and will return for any laptop/phone related repairs!

Located close by AutoZone, At Home, or behind the super Target (by Sams club). I had a small wiring issue (PC rgb convertor) that was not sitting right and came loose. The guys there took cared of it very quickly and explained what they did. I would highly recommend if you have anything phone related to bring it here and small electronics. They will take care of you.

They were so helpful and thorough while diagnosing my laptops problems! Even talked me through self-fix alternatives for some of the smaller issues. So friendly and open, would definitely go back again if I have to.

I had a great experience at this location. Nice clean work area and friendly staff. I had a pretty simple fix which they got done quickly and had me on my way with some professional soldering work. The thing I enjoyed most is the idea behind the business. They are willing to help people try to find a way to fix components in a fast paced “it’s broken, just buy a new one” society. Thank you!

I got batteries for an iphone and ipad replaced, and it was a complete waste if money. They must have used the cheapest batteries they could find. I won’t go there again.

My moms iPhone 6 had an issue with the charging port and battery. Usually I take my iPhone to the apple store but this phone was out of warranty. So we put it in a drawer and she’s been using an iPhone 5s. My girlfriend recommended that I go here to see what was wrong with the phone. They offered a free diagnostic and in less then 5 mins that told me what was wrong with my phone. Luis told me that it was pocket lint causing it to not make a connection with the charger. he cleaned it out and within 10 minutes the phone turned on. He told me I didnt need to replace it and said whatever he did was going to be free. If I had taken it anywhere else they would have charged me to replace the part. I had Luis go ahead and replace the charging port and the battery just for safe measures though. Great place, EXCELLENT customer service, and great price! 👍🏽

Had a PS4 issue. Thought it was HDMI port. Took it there to have it fixed. Got a call a few hours later... He cleaned up HDMI port and it was a resolution issue. No charge at all. Great service. I cant thank enough for fixing my laptop! I really wish I knew about this place before. They have very affordable prices and offer same-day repair.I spilled water on my MacBook Air and the screen was very dim. Apple asked for $500 to replace the screen, but I was sure there is no need for the whole screen to be replaced. I took it to the Computer Cellar and after the diagnostics, they recommended me to get it fixed at the Charging Port. The guy took only an hour to do another diagnostic test on the laptop, then told me he would be able to fix it on the same day. It costed 5 times less than what Apple was asking me to pay. So happy to have my laptop back! Thank you!

Went with husband and daughter to get several services done. My iPhone was in desperate need of a screen to replace the cracked one. They took care of me right away with a new screen and the screen protection cover as well. It looks and works as good if not better as when I first bought it. The service was fast good quality and the price was great. I highly recommend this place.

I never gave up i continued to call around and I found Charging Port in Durham and give them a call. Within minutes he had my phone fixed with no problems. Went in to fix what I thought was an power supply chip failure, turns out it was a battery problem. Luis also fixed a few pins in the charging port free of charge. Great service, will def come back for future repairs

Great customer service, friendly interaction, and fast turn around time. I got my iPhone 5s fixed. My phone wasnt charging and I had taken it to a few places to get checked out and several places took my phone for some time and couldnt figure out what was wrong with it. Almost gave up on the phone and this was the last place I took it to. They were able to get my phone on in just a few minutes while i waited and told me the exact problem. Something on the motherboard that is responsible for charging. Fixed it the same day and got back a working phone. I highly recommend them and I most certainly will be coming back for any future issues I have with any of my devices.

Tim and Luis saved me $1,000 today. My car AC has been broken in the summer heat for over a week, but they fixed at less than 5% of the $1,000+ the Toyota dealership said it would cost me thanks to some googling and creative soldering work at Komputer Zone. Specifically, they were able to do a custom soldering job on a faulty wire on a car AC circuit board in 30 minutes while I shopped. Not only were the happy to do it, but they obviously relished the opportunity to do some problem solving on an old electronic part that they dont see every day. They also made the wire connection stronger by adding some epoxy to make a moving part more durable.If you find yourself with an odd problem on an expensive electronic part, I would strongly suggest reaching out to these guys to see if they can fix your problem for less than the cost to replace the part (in my case $750+).And if you have a faulty Toyota AC from an older car (mine is from 2005), then I would DEFINITELY do some research and see if you cant just stop by for a similar custom soldering job.

Luis was responsive and helpful. Chargingport did everything they said theyd do, on time and for the $$ amount promised. My daughter is thrilled to have her baby monitor working again as she prepares to return to work.

Best place for ps4 repair service. Got my ps4 hdmi fixed with these guys while I waited. my hdmi port started going out but couldn’t find anyone that could do repairs on ps4. One of my friends recommended me to these guys. I will be coming back here for any other issues I have with my devices.

Ive done business with them for years now. Since they had that little shop inside of compare. The only place in Durham if not the whole triangle area that fixes charging ports that are attached to the phones main board. I took my galaxy s3 to the mall and they told me I had to replace my main board in order to repair the charging port. They told me it requires microsoldering and no one in town does that. So I gave up on the phone until a friend told me about these guys. When asked if they knew what microsoldering was, the Russian guy just smirked. They repaired my phone in 20 minutes. Ive since repaired my blu phone charging port, my Alcatel and my galaxy tab 3 charging ports. My wife had her iPad glass done here and today i found out they can fix my old PS4 HDMI port. They just keep surprising. I seriously wonder if there is anything these guys cant fix. Best place in the triangle.

Best local place to go when you mess up something or just cant solder. We dont do complex things like backlights on iPhones, HDMI ports or connectors for digitizers and LCDs, so it feels good to know they got your back. Beats sending the device out to some random dude on ebay to save a couple of bucks
