My experience at TCR on 9th St was delightful. Not only was my phone repaired, but the customer service was wonderful. The staff had great communication, patience, and professionalism.

I am a repeat customer of TCR (Durham location) for a few years now. They have helped me out with broken iPad buttons, cracked screens, etc. and have been great every step of the way. I love this local business and will continue to be back every time I need them!

Good service. I made an appointment to get the battery changed on my iPhone. It took about half an hour and was a very good price. Its only been a few days but my phone is working great. Before I got a new battery it was crashing all the time due to the battery going flat. I will have to wait and use it for a while to see if the battery is good quality but so far its good. It was a safe transaction because we met outside the business for me to consult and my phone was returned to me outside when it was finished. It was easy to make an appointment on the website.

Scheduled my appointment for 11:30. Called 10 minutes after opening (10:10) to change appointment to 6:30 as I saw they close at 7:00. They would not schedule for 6:30 said don’t schedule past 6:00 . Was a battery change that they say takes 30 minutes to do for 39.99. So I canceled, called competitor who closes at 7:00. Scheduled 6:30 appointment, arrived at 6:25, they said 20 minute job !! Was done by 6:45 and cost $ 34.99 for new battery and that price was listed on internet as well. You lost this sell and any future sale from me and possibly from friends.

I brought my phone to replace my screen and LCD on a Friday afternoon and the guy warned me that it would be a 3 hour wait because they were so busy that day. That seemed super fast to me, but he was really worried that it would be too long for me. I said that would be no problem and I got a call back 2 hours later telling me that my phone was ready for pickup. The phone ended up costing $30 less than their normal price for the repair I guess because he mistakenly quoted me a cheaper price initially. The phone works great now and looks good as new. It was all great except that I had made an appointment through the website, which seemed like what they wanted me to do, but the person working didnt seem to know anything about that. I got a new battery in my iPhone 8 in an hour and a quarter, and the phone has pepped up a lot. The service is very friendly, too – but why bother with the notion of appointments if they dont really have any purpose?

This is my go to group for screen and phone repairs. They are truly amazing. Prompt, courteous and professional. They were very responsive and understanding to my urgent need this last time and had my phone’s screen repaired in thirty minutes. It’s perfect!! Highly recommend!

Please see attached photo. I went in for a screen repair. Had to go in a SECOND time for follow up. Then this happened. The screen is completely falling off. No cracks or anything caused by me. Don’t give them your business for screen repairs.

They were quick to identify the charging issue and only needed a good cleaning. Fast service. Only issue was finding the place as there are no clear signs that the business is part of the coffee shop.

So my iPhone 8 Plus screen cracked, called apple they wanted $169, called TCR on ninth street and total price $91 that’s including tax! I’m happy with the quality of work they performed on my device! Definitely will be referring them to my friends and etc!

Took my iPhone 6S that was working well in to replace the battery as it wasnt lasting a whole day. Went to pick it up and was told there was an issue with the screen. Was told they would send it to another store and I would be contacted with updates. Those updates never came and had to call many times to each store to finally find out the phone was toast. To compensate I was offered a $20 discount on an updated iPhone 8. So, Phone was given back inoperable, poor communication and Insufficient compensation for poor workmanship. Had been a customer for many years.

Great service! They really cared about my experience with them. Had an iPhone freeze and not respond to touch so I took it to the south Durham location and it was fixed within the appointment time. A few weeks later it started doing the same thing so I took it to the other Durham location (it was just closer to my work) and they honored their 90 day warranty without a hitch. Phone has been working like new ever since. They emailed several times to make sure their work was good. Thanks TCR!

Excellent Efficient Service - a gem of a find! Had a smashed screen and they replaced it within the given time allocated. So impressed I returned a few days later to have a failing battery replaced and again done in the allocated time - really impressive. Thank you Eric you were so helpful I would highly recommend.

These guys are awesome. My iPhone 7 had a cracked screen and distorted LCD that needed replacement. The online scheduling system made the drop off and pick up within a 24hr. window extremely convenient. I dropped my phone off with a professional gentleman who came outside to greet me after I pressed the ring doorbell on the exterior of the business. He let me know itd be ready in 40min. so I walked around Duke east campus and returned at the allotted time with all repair aspects of the phone in excellent condition.

I just had my IPad Mini 4 repaired by TCR, and they did a fantastic job! The pricing is very reasonable, and they set very clear expectations on the schedule. The new screen looks terrific and works perfectly! I could not ask for a better outcome.

My phone was working fine except the ear speaker now its hard to get into so I can call someone and dont fix the phone

After a week of getting her phones screen redone the touch screen stopped working!

Wasnt able to get everything fixed due to water damage but service was friendly and honest.

I love this place. Its one of a shrinking list of businesses that actually want to help you extend the life of something, rather than compel you to buy a new one. Prompt and knowledgeable. I especially like their online appointment feature that lets you schedule a time to come by. They confirmed that they had the part I needed ahead of time and I was seen right away.

I had an iPhone X issue with a swollen battery. I dropped off my phone curbside and the phone was repaired like new in 30 minutes. The engineer also made sure I understood the problem and what they did for me. Highly recommend!

I managed to completely destroy the screen on my iPhone (twice), and both times Jay has been extremely helpful and efficient in repairing my screen! Jay even noticed that my battery only charges to 60% when fully charged, recommending that I have it replaced to get the most out of my IPhone. I was able to walk in and have my iPhone repaired in about an hour; not that waiting was a problem, since the shop is in a great location surrounded by tons of restaurants, bars and record shops! I will definitely be back whenever I need cellular repairs!

Easy to make an online appointment last minute to repair a crushed screen. The service rep did a fantastic job of repairing my screen in 30 minutes. The convenience of finding a small business instead of driving to ATT or the Apple Store is priceless!

Aaron was amazing. I came in thinking that I needed to get a screen replacement and a home button replacement. As it turns out I only needed the screen. Aaron quickly diagnosed the problem and informed me that he could save me ~$70 without the home button replacement. How many managers would have just replaced the home button to charge as much as possible?! I was very impressed with the technical ability and customer service at TCR.

My iPhone 6 wasnt charging and IF it did, wasnt holding a charge. Jay assessed my phone and in 2 minutes found an object blocking my charging port. This was quickly removed! Then, swiftly replaced my battery--after assessing it was in need of replacement! This was an awesome trip, 15 minutes in/out BOOM!!!! Thanks Jay!!!

Employees aren’t that great to deal with. Took forever, handed my phone back & the home button didn’t even work, so he had to take it back and fix again. Got it back the second time with weird bubbles under the screen. Don’t waste your time going here.

Great place to get your phone repaired. Unfortunately it wasn’t the case for me yet. Went in with an appointment for what I needed done. My back camera lens was cracked and they couldn’t fix it after about an hour waiting for it. Told me I needed to go to the other location in Durham. So I went there and they were not able to fix it either. Said they had to order a part for it and still waiting. Wasted half of my day for a simple fix as they made it seem. Great guys but disappointed in the service part.I wanted to change my review. After a bad start thank you to Jay and Sean for fixing my camera and going over and beyond. I will definitely tell everyone to come see you guys!!

Fantastic service, Sean really knew what he was doing. I walked in and had my phone fixed in 20 minutes. Only took me longer because I had forgotten to charge my phone and we had to wait for it to boot up to make sure everything was working perfectly. Was right off campus so very convenient. Highly recommend!!!

The tech was very knowledgeable about my phone and the problem that could be causing it not to charge. He clean my charging port, investigated further and realized that my port wasn’t charging because a loose connection!! My iPhone 5S was not charging, so I took it to the store to see if they could replace the charging port. The representative, Jay, took a quick look at my phone and was able to clean out the port within minutes so that it worked like new! She was incredibly helpful and kind. TCR went above and beyond my expectations for honest quality service at very reasonable prices for replacing my cracked iphone screen. I recently brought my phone back for a battery issue. The phone was not holding a charge and a factory reset didnt fix the problem. I was ready to buy a new phone, but TCR fixed the issue in less than 5 minutes, didnt charge me for the service, and wouldnt accept a tip. I couldnt offer a higher recommendation

Very friendly service. I got my your piece speaker repaired here and they did it in about 15 minutes. My only complaint was that the first time I came in they did not have the speaker so they told me it would be there the next day. I came in the next day and it wasn’t there. However, they took my number and called me when it came in. Very professional and helpful. I would recommend and go again.

These guys are great. I’ve used them 3 times and would use them 3 more. They are professional, timely, and provide excellent customer service. I took my phone in and they worked on it, but could not fix it at that location. Their other location could have. There was no service charge, just an apology. I expected to pay something and certainly didn’t expect an apology.

I came in for repair of a cracked screen and, after two visits and several hours of my time, I left with a replacement phone that I have to integrate into my life on my on and I don’t know how or have time.* This is not what I expected and it has been very disruptive.Based on others’ reviews and the fact that TCR attempted to resolve this for me by replacing my phone, I believe my experience is likely extraordinary.Updating review: the replacement phone has a weak battery. I contacted TCR to ask them to replace the battery since my phone had a new battery. No response. Now I have to pay for a new battery.

Got my cracked screen fixed in less than 15 minutes. I’ve broken the screen a few years ago and took it to someone in Greensboro who messed up my Touch ID on my iPhone. This time the guy who fixed my phone did a great job and my Touch ID works again! I also paid $100 only cause I got a screen protector too. They’re so worth it! And there’s a great coffee shop next door to grab a drink while you wait!

I had broken glass on my iPhone 6 replaced. Service was friendly, attentive and quick. I was looking at an extra $50 to have the headphone jack replaced, but it turned out to be an obstruction that they were able to clear with some compressed air -- at no charge. I recommend these folks.

I tried to change the Battery in my Phone and unfortunately I broke it, instead. I came to the Triangle Cellular Repair Store in South Durham and they fixed my phone in few hours. They were extremely helpful and very professional. I highly recommend them if you are having problems.

Great price on iPhone 6 battery replacement! Parking around 9th Street is terrible on Saturdays (as I found out ) so go on a different day. I might go back to check out second hand phones.
