Gary was extremely helpful. I wasn’t able to be there for the tow, so he contacted me to ask where exactly I wanted the car placed. He sent me a picture through text of where he left it and asked if it was the correct spot on my driveway. I told him that it would be better if it was on the right side vs the left side. He told me he’d be happy to move it into the perfect spot. He sent me a picture again, and it was in the perfect spot! Thank you very much!!

This company towed my car and when they finished my exhaust shield was left like this. I called about reimbursement and the lady instantly started being rude and would not let me explain. She then hung the phone up and blocked my number and/or ignored all calls from my number or calls with my area code. Would not recommend. Miserable old lady

Car got towed, less than 24hrs. Costed $345 to take it out, cash only, no receipt. They’re just stealing money, how is this reasonable? Also, they should work on customer service skills, smug attitude the entire time.

I had a minor accident today, nothing major but I needed to be towed. The truck took about 40 minutes to arrived, which I consider it was a fair amount of time. Every time I called the office, the operator was there to help me out and at least to keep me calm.The reason for this review is the guy who towed my car. His name is DARREL. I am using capital letters so everyone can see it clearly. This man keep me calm in the middle of a very stressful situation, pointing out all the time that I was fine and life is way more important than a car. Since I an a nurse, I have taken many psychology courses and even a psychiatry class. I have been working in hospital settings for over a year now and is rare to find someone so caring and understanding of other people situation. Every day I get to see the best and the worst of human kind. For me, Darrel belongs to the best of us.Thank you Darrel, you definitely made my day better. I hope you receive from others the sympathy I received from you today.

This company is ran by a bunch of thieves. I was calling to get my car back which they towed illegally and never got a location to pick it up. The person answering the phone had a nasty attitude and kept hanging up on me. She kept saying that no one is available to let me in to get my car back and that they only had 1 driver who supposedly had been at car accident scene for almost 24 hours. Stay away!

The only towing company near me that picked up the phone(they were the 4th one I called). The dispatcher was polite and professional. The truck got to me fairly quickly given the weather, and the driver was friendly and helpful. Prices felt very reasonable. I would happily recommend this company again.

These guys are reliable, ethical and honest. Prices are very reasonable (best around). The front office is VERY easy to work with and highly responsible. The driver was A-1 and a nice guy. I was able to set an appointment time to have a car towed. They showed up early and did a great job. No BS about weekend rates and weekday rates. All one price. I cant place any of the negative reviews I saw here with my experience. 100% recommended.

Since under new management and ownership Roadside Towing and Recovery has some of the best customer service I have received in a long time. I didnt have to sit for hours, wonder when they would arrive or be transferred and placed on hold for long periods of times. Plus they were super friendly. I would recommend this company to anyone!

Called for an obviously unexpected and necessary tow, earlier tonight. I gave the specific address of where I needed the vehicle picked up and dropped off. I was quoted $100 even. That sounded unusual to me so I double checked and asked the woman on the phone “are you sure it’s $100 even”.... or is that a rough estimate? She said it’s $100 even and that a driver would be there shortly. The driver came 2 hours later!!! He told me that he had to take a police officer call first.... what I don’t understand is why no one notified me. I had to call him. He also let me know over the phone that she gave me the wrong price and that it would be $170! I was livid for obvious reasons. I could get over the fact that he had to take the police call but to get no notification and then to be told completely wrong on the price?!?! I let him know I wasn’t happy and wouldn’t be leaving a good review. I understood his part and didn’t blame him but really.... how hard is it to have decent and honest customer service?!?!?! I’ll never deal with them again.

A bunch of crooks looking to make a quick buck - tried to tow my truck when there was not a no parking sign present when truck was parked on the side of the street. When I caught them they promptly put my truck back down. I am fortunate that I spotted them while they eyed my vehicle. Very shady business.

I’d give zero stars if I could. They claim to provide 24/7 service and fuel drop off on their website. They DO NOT do fuel drop off or work 24/7.

This company was sent out to tow my car after my wreak. They were very helpful when I called to inquire about getting my belongings from my car. When I showed up to get my belongings they were very nice and helped me get my things in the process I was informed they also were selling a few cars on the lot and purchased a Infinity from them at a steal of a price. I absolutely love my new car and will cal them for any tow I may need in the future and would recommend to all friends and family.

I had called another local service at 3am who was very rude to me. so I hung up and called Roadside Towing and Recovery....they answered on the 1st ring at 3:20 in the morning and they were very nice ..my car was stuck after a storm and the driver was there in 22 min and they where curtious and I was on my way in no time!!! highly recommend this tow co to my family and friends....

Awsome company I called after an accident,The office manager was helpful and dispatched the driver while taking my info..They were there moments after my call to herAnd the driver was very nice and they also made sure I had a ride seeing Im from out of state and my car was wrecked,, I would refer anyone to them, great staff and fast curtious drivers.

While many of the negative reviews are from people in frustrating situations, my rating is actually based on their poor customer service skills. My experience was based on a mistake this towing company made, and while I understand mistakes happen, and while I was able to retrieve my car without paying any fee for their mistake, the customer service I received was careless and lacking any semblance of empathy.

First Ill say that the driver was very understanding and thats why they get one star that I wouldnt have otherwise put. He didnt want to pick up my car and apologized for his A hole boss like 100 times. Now for the owner, what an A hole! I literally walked my coworker to the door and when I turn around he is telling his guy to pick up my car. He hadnt even picked up my car before I ran over and told him I was about to move. He was like thats 125 to put down the car and 230 to pick up the next day. Even after I said thats what I made working 12 hours waitressing today he was like well you can pay more tomorrow if you want. What a Fin A hole. Thank you sir I hope youre happy with the 125 dollars you earned in 5 minutes that it took 12 hours for me to make. Oh and by the way Im paying my way through school but Im sure you can find a better way to spend the money I earned. Seriously if anyone reads this review these people dont give a damn about you or your issues they just want to make money!

Im surprised this company gets any business at all given the extreme rates they charge. $165 for the several block tow and $35 for the half hour they had the car in their lot. Another towing service only a few blocks away charges 75% of what they do. I strongly urge any business owners to refrain from using Roadside - I understand sometimes towing is necessary, but this company is a great way to lose return customers.

Derrick was the best!!! On my way to take my Aunt to Duke Med from Fayetteville Nc, hit debris on Hwy 147 North tore my under carriage all to pieces, I knew I couldnt make it back to Fayetteville like that!! Called them and they were there in a matter of minutes!! He lifted my car and zip tied it as a temporary fix, IT WORKED!!Oh by the way 3 other cars stopped at the same gas station that hit the same debri..he assisted them also! Thanks again Derrick!! I would recommend Roadside Towing and Recovery to ANYONE!!

If I could rate 0 stars I would. This company has the worst customer service I have ever experienced! Definitely a predatory towing company, and they have illegal practices. This company towed my vehicle from the handicap parking spot in my community, although I have a valid NC Handicap Decal. I also have a property decal hanging from my rear view mirror. They towed my vehicle early Sunday morning around 1am, and I attempted to recover my vehicle the next morning around 10am. They charged me $250 ($165 towing fee, $35 storage fee, and $50 after hours fee) to recover my vehicle.When I called to ask why my vehicle had been towed despite a valid parking decal, the lady acknowledged that she could see my decal, but there was nothing she could do because the manager said I was responsible for the towing fees and would not release my vehicle until they were paid. I paid the fees to recover my vehicle, and upon recovery I noticed my rear view mirror was damaged and dangling from the window, and my parking permit was on the floor. I took a picture before leaving their shop, and will be seeking compensation for damages.The manager has yet to return my call, and is always conveniently out of the office. I would recommend filing a complaint with the BBB bureau to others who have experienced issues with this company. Also filing a police report for Grand Theft Auto with the Durham Police Department. Removing someones vehicle illegally is a crime, and they should be held accountable!

Incredibly rude service. My car was wrongfully towed from my parking lot and all I wanted was to get a name for the driver and who called to have my car towed. The man working in the trailer scoffed at me for asking reasonable questions and didnt provide answers.

Predatory indeed. They pounced on my car as I was parking briefly at a friends apartment complex. The visitor spaces were filled, so I parked in an open space directly next to the visitor spaces. This was already a empty area, with plenty of empty parking around. I wasnt taking a reserved spot, or taking up a space that would have been needed for the rest of the evening. Upon finding my car gone, I placed a call to the listed number to try and recover my vehicle that evening. The person on the other end of the phone was extremely unhelpful and informed me that I was to be charged an overnight fee in addition to the towing fee, even though I was more than willing to attempt to pick up my car that night.

Predatory towing company. I was parked in the front of my friends Townhouse on the curve. There was no signage stating that this is a tow away zone or fire zone. I have been going to this bible study for almost two years and parking here. The tow truck agent after towing my vehicle, proceeded to tow all of the visitor cars and kept reversing as I stood in the way. The driver jumped out the wrecker and started cursing and grabbing at his waist. I called the company and was told the cost would be $210.00. Please be aware of this company!

100% predators. My friend picked something up from the office across the street and left 6 minutes later. Upon finding his car was towed by RT&R, they proceeded to tell us they had photographic proof of his front tire being on private property and then refused to show us the proof when we asked to see it. Absolutely arrogant, stiff-necked, and derogatory. I firmly believe theyre crooked in their practices, and deserve to be shut down.

This towing company is SOOO HORRIBLE.. They towed my vehicle parked outside my home while i went inside it literally took 3 mins whent to get my husband to leave with our child and our son was asleep in the car they unconsiderely towed it before i got posetion of my vehicle to make money. Such a rippoff the amount they charge ia excessive and i am defenantly sewing them. Taking them to court they have done this some many times to us. Towing illegally there is a case open in court againts them and i got a lawyer my car was damages on it and police came out made a report tooks pics my young 4 year old inside hooked the the towed truck and even if i spend every dime i will make this place shut down. Hes a racist black male rude. Both of the guys putting 5 starts is them trying to get all this bad feedback off and themselves write goodstuff. Witch is NOT even the case if you guys that think he should get shut down please let me know and the more people i gather that he has towed illegally the better for the case thanks averyone and please speak take actions because they will do it again and again WE NEED TO STOP THIS REDICULOUSNESS!!!!!! These guys are absolutely the worst people. Towed our moving van while loading it as we moved out of their office. Nobody called them to come tow it they are based across the street and extorted us out of $125. Terrible. Horrible. Wrong.

Towed me for parking somewhere that had no signs then told me 285 to get it out that same day. Who has300$ to throw around . Wasnt even at my location for 30 minutes. These are some get overs. This should be illegal .
