The absolute WORST Insurance Agency that I have ever dealt with! I have had a commercial liability insurance policy with Ella Latreilles Agency for several years now, and have had nothing but Migraine Headaches from the entire experience.Every year its the same thing... I will have to call them because I have not received my policy renewal. Then Allstate cancels my policy, then I get letters from NCDMV, and my Bank... and then magically, after weeks of unanswered emails and phone calls, I finally get a renewal.I would think that most Insurance Agents would treasure the type of customer such as me! I always make my premium payments directly through my bank account, I never have accidents or traffic citations.. you never hear from me (until you fail to do your job !!!!)

I recently changed to Allstate with Ellas agency. I am very pleased with the customer service. Everyone is friendly and Ella was very professional and went above and beyond to answer all of my questions. I was also happy to know she can do all kinds of insurance as I was looking for auto, renters, and life. I would highly recommend the Ella Latreille Allstate agency to anyone looking for any kind of insurance.

We have had our commercial policy with Ella for a few years now, after switching from nationwide and saving us about 450 dollars a year for the exact same coverage. we get our monthly statements every month like clock work. and what are auto pay schedule is for the remaining time of the policy. great to work with

I rate it 1 star simply because it seems that I cannot rate it 0 star. This is the worst agent Ive ever met during my entire lifetime. Before meeting this guy, you cannot imagine how inefficient, rude, unresponsive and unhelpful a person could be. I even dont know why I should have an agent if I need to deal with everything by myself and the agent only replied me I dont understand and I cannot help you. Thanks to her assistant, who is much more helpful, otherwise I guess it would spend 10000 years to finally setup my insurance.

Ella Latreille deserves 0 stars, but Google only allows 1 star to be posted by default.She is dishonest, she lies about pricing, you can never get a hold of her. She has the worst customer service, she is very rude. Her office is unkept, she has a small annoying dog that lives and defecates in the office; so walking in does a number on your nose. She his also horrible at keeping up with tasks and getting them done which is a huge part of the job.Please, please, please, stay away from Ella Latreille. She literally is the worst Insurance agent along with having little to no customer care and service.I have been with Ella Latreille for three years. I was on my way to cancel my insurance plan with her. However when I bought a new car at the end of last year she provided me a quote for 3 cars and four family remembers cheaper than other insurance agents. It was all a lie because when the bill came it was $150 more than she had quoted. So I end up calling the office and to no surprise the call goes straight to voice message 100% of the time. Although she said the rates would decrease come the next cycle but she lied again as she always does; the price remained the same when it should have gone down.Another incident and problem I had with her when I bought my first car three years ago, it got in a hit and run and she would never cover because she made up some excuse that the dealership is responsible for the fault when it made no sense at all. Till this day I still have then dent in the car.Shes just the worst insurance agent. AVOID AT COSTS. IF SHE PROMISES YOU A LOW RATE THEN I GUARANTEE SHE IS LYING. THE TRUTH WILL COME OUT WHEN THE BILL ARRIVES AND GETTING A HOLD OF HER WILL BE EXTREMELY DIFFICULT.

Unfortunate customer service... if you could call it that. I was a returning customer to Allstate and because the sales agent who reactivated my insurance did not do their due diligence to ensure the policy was set up correctly, I was back-charged almost $400 over 3 months once the mistake was discovered. Instead of rectifying the situation, or trying to work with me in other ways to lower the now doubled monthly premium, the agency put in minimal effort to let me know that it was still my fault and I owed them $400.

Let me preface by noting that leaving negative reviews isnt something Im fond of. I feel businesses are often unfairly judged for one bad experience, usually taken out of context. This review, however, is important to me because auto insurance isnt a luxury, a fancy restaurant, or a nail salon; Auto insurance is required by law.Last month, I was forced to leave the auto insurance company (Erie) that Ive been with for 16 years because my temporary work contract took me out to the Bay Area in California and Erie is regional, not national. I could have taken the risk and dealt with filing a claim with a company across the country, but it seemed better to deal with a national company given my circumstances. I did my online homework, got quotes, and was happy to see Allstate offered the best deal. Better yet, I could keep my NC insurance and still have the comfort of knowing Allstate was nationwide! The site even linked me with a local office in Durham, where I have my primary residence, and I was happy to see Ella Latreilles office had such great reviews!Everything started off smooth. I paid the inital payment, and my first premium payment was due a few weeks after. Then, without notice, I receive a letter in the mail stating that my policy was to be canceled due to lack of proof of NC residency. Confused, I called the office and left a voicemail (my timezone is three hours earlier). I didnt get called back the next day, so the following day I called during business hours: voicemail again. I tried a couple more times, and I finally reached a representative. My frustration was quickly gone once I was informed that all could be resolved by simply sending a copy of my NC drivers license. Done. A week later, I went online to pay my premium. Low and behold, a charge for my canceled policy was there, but no active premium. I immediately emailed the office. Two days (on a Friday) later I was emailed back with a higher premium due to my temporarily out of state circumstances. Annoying, but I needed insurance quickly, so fine. I replied back inquiring why they wanted to charge another payment for the rewrite, since the first policy was never even valid. That was Jan 28th. I have called and sent more emails since. I even emailed Ella herself in addition to the representative I had been in correspondence with. Nothing. If a company cant communicate adequately with a potential new customer, then how would I expect them to treat me when I actually had to file a claim?If you want to go with Allstate, I would go with Allstate. However, you have options in your area. Dont choose this one.

Ella is the worst insurance agent I have ever met. Thank god i decided to switch at the last minute before closing on our house. I have no doubt that they would have botched things up. Ella told me 3 times via email she was going to send us documents to sign then never did! Im never using Allstate I guess.
