I shopped around a few different auto insurance companies and GEICO was the lowest price, by far. I thought for sure it would be low coverage, or not what I needed, but it was actually above and beyond what the other companies offered. This was a great value. I worked with Rick at the Durham office and he was very quick to respond through email and phone calls. He answered all of my questions. I was able to get car insurance and purchase the car in less than an hour. Rick was patient while walking me through the various options and he helped make my experience super easy and stress-free.

Rick was awesome! I started my quote online and forgot to finish it. Rick called me to walk me through and get me insured. He was professional, knowledgeable and very friendly. When the call ended I was fully insured and all coverage info had been emailed to me.

Seriously avoid Geico at all costs! If you try to cancel they will act like they never got your cancellation request -Even if you can prove it was delivered multiple different ways. Even the owner of the agency agreed that there was no reason that my policy shouldnt be canceled yet they wanted personal information to be able to refund me for back charges that shouldnt have ever been applied.GEICO IS TRULY ONE OF THE WORST INSURANCE AGENCIES IVE EVER BEEN A MEMBER OF..... They dont want me to leave but they didnt want to write me a policy that fit my needs.... Their solution is to continue to charge me even though I dont want their services. Local branches cant close policies they can only open them nor will they accept paperwork to send a corporate to be able to close the policy. The truth is its not in their interest to close policies and you will waste many many hours attempting to get your money back or even cancel a policy. PLEASE BEWARE DO NOT GO WITH GEICO!!!

The agents were nice but the service not so much Ive called and spoke to 3 agents all of which had issues with some malfunction with your computer system and processing a Qouate. 2 Agents had promised me they would call me back because your computers were messing up 1 agent never called me back and the other one didnt call me back until the end of the day which by then I had sought out other insurance companies and went with another one because I needed coverage ASAP but the time the last agent finally got back to me i informed that because of the delay reaching back out to me I chose to go with someone else. As you can see by my numerous times I called your company I obviously wanted your insurance but could never get anything processed.

I have had nothing but headaches with this company. They say one thing and do another. They charge my card a week ahead of time and charge me twice at times. Then one month my bill is the right amount then it’s a $100 higher the next month but no changes were made to my account on my end. If I were you, I’d find another company for your insurance needs. Really deserve less than 1. They dont tell the truth. They do this by telling you half a lie. So many kept secrets to keep from refunding your money once you cancel on because they lied. Somehow they dont tell you all truth. They tell you they can stop another insurance company from drafting funds from you account only to find out they cant. Once they get your money, if you call to cancel, they come up with all kinds of excuses to not refund your monies. Then will send you a bill for cancelling during a pandemic. They dont give a flip about you once they get your money. Most of their employees will agree with a lie. Cant get the truth out of five people to save your life. Great commercial. Wish there site in Durham was as good as their commercial. At this time I wouldnt recommend them to anyone. Doubt if they get any better in the near future. Try another company, please.

She was terse and instantly transferred our call to the 1800 number again while we were in mid sentence!What is the point of having a local office if they cant help out. This is the very office I used to set up my policies.I see no benefit having a local office.

I was in an accident with a Geico inserted it was her fault and my vehicle that I only had ONE MONTH was TOTALED!!! I was waited around involving 3 different Adjusters, got charged out of pocket for a rental vehicle Geico told me not to return because they were taking over the Rental Agreement a week later I was called by Budget threatening me with fees, penalties and possible criminal charges.... Geico told me to return the car and a new reservation would be there for me...... got there not only was I charged on my bank account for the rental $1191.69 which overdrafted my account that took a week to solve and be reimbursed for!!! Then it took me 21 phone calls and 3 hours to get a reservation made!!! I pray NO-ONE EVER HAS TO DEAL WITH THIS SITUATION

He wasnt just selling me insurance, but went out of the way to let me know who he was as my insurance agent. I left feeling like I had an agent who had my back, and it also helped that I saved $1,200.00 dollars a year. 15%? More like saving 50%! (Also, if you sign up as a new client, they give you two free shirts, and a portfolio of your plan) Ive been through State Farm, AAA, and Progressive. This by far was the simplest no show kind of business Ive ever been to regarding insurance. David also went out of his way to make sure I got as many discounts as I could. You the man David. Im sorry but Ive never met a more unhelpful insurance agent that just wanted to get me off the phone after a BAIT AND SWITCH. Are these actual agents? They told me one price, I gave them my credit card, then they told me a completely different price very very quickly.I have two issues with the C.L.U.E. report they pulled on me1) Their system lists that I was the driver in an accident from 2015, it was not me, it was my wife (who was my girlfriend at the time). I have a dashcam video of the person backing into my wifes car while her and my mother in law were in it, I was 200+ miles away from her at the time in a different state. The only link I have to that car is that I was listed as an insured driver who may use the car since we were living together, I was NOT the primary driver. I have NO idea how theyre assuming IM the driver in this case.2) Their system lists that I was the at fault driver in an accident in 2017. I was NOT the at fault driver, I had to SUE the other driver to get them to pay to fix my HONDA ACCORD. I have dashcam, I have a police report, I have a settlement letter.I dont understand how insurers like State Farm are allowed to fix issues like this but this Geico agent couldnt help me at all, or at least point me in the right direction on getting it fixed. Calling the other insurance company did NOT fix the issue for me in 2018.The answer to getting it fixed is to file a complaint with the NC insurance commission.

Ive never lived close enough to an actual Geico office to go. There is one by my home, so I have visited there three times now.I worked with the T&T ; team of Taisia Johnson. She is a joy to work with. Has very solid understanding of all the nuances with auto insurance and home insurance.Needed help with lowering my policy and getting my ID cards, as well as other items I had to change.Could not be happier with the service I received.She gave me good tips on how to lower the cost of my policy. She has a very developed sense of humor.. and I know this may sound corny, but felt like family. They even gave me free T-shirts! Couldnt be more impressed!Stop in and see what they can do for you!!

Tracey Furtado and Brittny Howard helped us move all of our insurance including Auto, Home, and Umbrella to GEICO, saving us over $700 a year! Tracey worked with me closely on the Auto policy, also encouraging me to add on the Towing and Labor coverage (a.k.a. roadside assistance) to our policy, especially for our older cars. Within a week after our policy went active my alternator died on one of our cars and I was able to use the GEICO smartphone app to quickly arrange for a tow to my mechanic, very easy to use! I would definitely recommend this GEICO Durham office, and the Towing and Labor coverage (which is very inexpensive) for older cars.

Mediocre customer service on our homeowners insurance. It took them a month and a half to resolve a simple billing error. We were a day from getting our policy cancelled. The thing that stood out the most was distinct lack of empathy to their clients. Moving all our policies to a different agency.
