Over the years, I have enjoyed superb service at the Durango airport from National Car Rental. This was again the case this year with two excellent experiences with them. Courteous and attentive, the employees are a pleasure to work with. The cars are clean and well maintained. My only small complaint is that their inventory of vehicles is smaller than in past years. Having a few more trucks available at this largely rural and snowy location would be a plus for their business.

Don’t plan on them staying for you after their regular business house. Me and 5 others are stranded at the airport due to them not following their own policy of staying until the last flight lands.

They went above and beyond to get me an adequate AWD car for an upcoming storm. Super accommodating and friendly.

I have been an Emerald Isle member of National for more than 20 years and the company has disappointed over the last 5 years. Charging an extra day of rental for being 20 minutes late for a returned vehicle, quoting one price and then charging a completely different price when the vehicle is returned and just worried about how much money they can get out of you with no concern for the customer. Even the Emerald Isle is more difficult than is previous years. It used to be that you drove up gave the attendant your National Card and license and you were on your way. Now there is a wait while they check your credit card, license, etc..This last experience will be my last.

I use National Car Rental exclusively and am always pleased with their cars and their service. The app and website are so easy to use and make arrival and departure a snap. Being an Emerald Club Member my selected car is waiting for me when I arrive, nothing to do but show my drivers license and drive away. Upon departure I just give them the keys and Im off. Staff are always friendly, professional and helpful. Thank you for your great service.

I am a loyal National renter so I’m not really surprised they came through for me in a big way in my most recent rental. I specifically needed a vehicle that seats eight people with outdoor gear which are not widely available, especially during busy summer months. The team at the Durango Airport could not have been more helpful and professional to be sure the vehicle was available and ready to go when I needed it. Thank you!

Got a very nice (upgraded) SUV and the agent was super!

We ordered a mid size car and were offered a RAV4 or Challenger. Took Rav 4. We loved it, great car. Did a little 4-wheeling. We were not offered a gas offer or insurance. Thought that was odd, so we paid full price for fuel upon return.

Quick customer focused service. The desk staff was very helpful, assisted me in mapping my visit. Super fast return processing.

I would give it zero stars, but system does not allow. We were handed a large truck F-150 that we were told to be 4x4 as we requested, just to find out two days later during the first winter storm this 5l truck was just 2WD!This almost killed us and we were caught totally un-prepared on this scary storm!! The windshield washer was also tempered and froze; therefore un-usable. Ive been renting there for about 20 years - no anymore :-( Avoid at all cost; do not endanger your life!

When I picked up the car the windows were dirty inside and out, very disappointed!

I was rented a car with only a half tank of gas. Not to mention bald tires in the front. Didnt realize this until about 20 miles from the airport when a front tire blew out on the highway. I put the spare on and made it to my hotel. Waited an entire day with promises of a new car since this one is not safe to drive any distance. Still they have failed to do anything about it. Obviously their maintenance and care are lacking.

Vehicle was new and clean ... counter personnel were friendly and efficient. Returning the vehicle was not difficult.

Cheap one way car rental to denver. Under 100$ plus taxes and fuel.Bait and Switch warning! I asked, two months in advance, for an all-wheel / 4 wheel drive vehicle, and they said yes, and that I would get a jeep. They put me in a 2 wheel drive chevy equinox, which, last I checked, is not a jeep. LIARS. Ice on the roads to Denver in less than 0 degree (F) weather in a 2 wheel drive vehicle in traffic was NOT FUN.

We arrived in Durango a little past Nationals closing time, but the gentleman not only stayed to ck us in, he got someone to help us load our two vehicles without us even asking.B Black

I asked for the National Gas refill option before renting, turned in the car, got charged for FULL price gas. Never going to do this again.
