I have used Detail Kings on different vehicles over the last few years. I recently had a newly purchased SUV done with a ceramic coating, and the vehicle looks better than when I received it from the dealer. I cross-shopped multiple shops to do the service, and the combination of quality and price was not matched elsewhere.Paul is extremely professional, is quick to answer any issues, and truly cares about the vehicles and his clientele. If you are looking for a great interior detail, theirs is the best in the area. I would strongly recommend that anyone looking for their vehicles to be taken care of use Detail Kings.

Im a heavy smoker AND hadnt had an interior detail in 2.5+ years, so pretty filthy inside. Looks like it came off the showroom floor now. Great job on the inside. Outside, its a black SUV, so swirls after waxing can be easily noticed, etc. Nothing like that after these guys. Car looked even better on the outside than the day I bought it.Professional people. Timely. Well done all around.

Detail Kings team was very professional and did a great job making my 7yo cars interior look like brand new again! Their appointment system allows them to get jobs done quickly (mine took about an hour), and I got some work done at the conveniently-located Starbucks in the hotel next door while I waited. I posted on FB asking for recommendations for car detailing services. The thread was bombarded with posts about how great detail Kings is for car services. I called them and expected a long wait for an answering service but was greeted by Charlotte who gave me excellent customer service from start to finish. They were swamped and understaffed for the Independence Day weekend and yet they were able to squeeze me in last min!!! (I’m beyond amazed at that because every other place gave me a wait time of at least 2 weeks!)Service was great! Detailing was impeccable!! And the experience was 5 star!I even gave them a thank you card at the end!Truly recommend you try it if you care for your car as I do 😀

We had my Jeep Wrangler washed inside and out while we waited and then came back after golfing while the F-150 was detailed. We enjoyed chatting with Paul while filling out our paperwork, and he was kind enough to split the charges for us even though we had booked both of the vehicles together. One of his guys was kind enough to stop what he was doing to help me move our golf clubs from one vehicle to another. The Jeep looks great: they even shined my spare tire! My dad is very impressed with his truck. It looks brand new and he’s already talking about bringing it back next time he needs a wash or detail.

Absolutely fantastic experience at Detail Kings. We brought in an 8 year old Volvo that had never been waxed or polished and had been owned previously by a heavy smoker. The car reeked of stale cigarettes. Paul and his crew had the car for three hours. They transformed the Volvo into what now looks and smells inside like a new car that just left the showroom. I give the highest recommendation possible to Detail Kings.

Not as happy as Id like to be....... The level of service was Show Room Detail, but actual results were not so. Floor mats, front, not as clean as they should be (only 1.5yrs old, not terribly dirty to begin with). Asked them to clean the wind-shield for sun roof - not done at all. Tire shine leaves tires pretty, but the liquid flies off the tires onto the vehicle on the ride home, leaving me a 1/2hr of cleanup work to do.... Otherwise, the vehicle looks nice.

Guys are super nice always willing to fit your car in their schedule if possible. The quick detail is a great value. I trust them with my baby. :)

This is my second time bringing in my car for an interior detailing. I have a bulldog that sheds a good amount, that rides in my car regularly. They were able to restore my car to its condition before I got my dog. Very professional, reasonable prices, definitely going to start bringing my car twice a year.

Update: owner reached out to me about this, I should’ve mentioned something right then as well but I was in a hurry. Picking on little things here but overall still a good choice, considering the price and competition. The spots I mentioned earlier were on the door (driver side) when your boots touch when you’re trying to get in and out. One wipe would’ve cleaned it but Maybe someone just missed it. Bumping it up to 4 stars.Exterior wash is good, but interior definitely not at least for the $25 they charge. I can vacuum and wipe stuff down as well. Plenty of spots just left untouched on the interior... oh they do use a lot of polish to make it shiny on the inside.... not a fan of that either but that’s on me for not mentioning them to go easy on the polish. Exterior worth it.

I brought my car here for interior detail only. The service was mediocre. There were some spots that were not cleaned well. I’m not sure if the guys who cleaned my car were rushing because it was close to closing time reason some areas were not cleaned. In addition, I was quoted $117 by the lady who made my appointment. When she called me and told me my car was ready she said their internet was down and couldn’t take credit/debit cards. Needless to say I paid an additional $3.00 and wasn’t including a tip. I couldn’t address the issue of some areas not being cleaned as the company was closing for the day.

I’ve been a customer for years and Detail Kings never disappoints! I recently had the showroom detail for my Escalade (which my younger children mistake as their lunchroom/ play area) and it was returned to me looking like new. Monique is always friendly and professional. Even with a large SUV (with an interior that needed extra TLC), the turn around time was around 3 hours. I was able to have my truck back before school pick up ;)

LOVE the Detail Kings! They were able to get me in last minute and did an amazing job getting my car clean. Couldnt recommend more highly.

I got a professional detail for my SUV. $225 plus I was asked to tip before I was given keys to my car to inspect the job. I tipped $40. The car was much better than when I dropped it off no doubt, but I found dried hard candy under the seat, the center counsel still had some muck in between the cracks, I found some floss under a seat, a popcorn kernel in the seat belt hole and the guys left one of their towels in between the seats. Not big deals and I do have 3 kids so there was a lot to clean...but they told me it would take 2-3 hrs and they finished in 2hrs. Just feels like not a lot of attention to detail for the price. This was my first car detailing experience...but will probably go somewhere else next time.

Went in not knowing what to expect and left feeling satisfied even if it’s work truck was better than what it looked like before so I’ll be coming back 👍🏻

This weekend was my first time there. I was very happy with the services. I will definitely be taking my cars back. My car was sparkling like new. I could tell the employees are very professional and detailed in their work.

So Ive gone to the detail kings several times over the last few years. each time there has been one issue or another. recently I brought my cx-3 in for a wash and had them clean the seat. trying to get road salt out. it wasnt the first time i had them try to get it out. there was still some left after that cleaning. not offered anything for that when i brought it back for a full professional detail. also the fact that my car is a crossover i was charged an extra $25 even though you can reach at least halfway across the roof from the ground, bs i think. anyway they were able to remove the sap at least from the outside of the car, but somehow my mats were still dirty when i went to put them in. my stuff was just thrown into the trunk area, jack upside down and leaked. the seat still feels like it has some salt in it. im pretty sure they cleaned my door jam areas, but for some reason no one ever thinks about the sun roof area. I opened it to find it crazy dirty still. and they got wax on my trim that i had to clean off at home too. now i am used to getting a basic wax even with a basic wash let alone a detail, but apparently these guys want to charge you an extra 100 for that and to detail the outside of your car. because i also brought my wifes Subaru in for a detail due to our daughter. they didnt bother to do anything to the outside except wash it. big streak of sap just left there. when i got the car back before i left i noticed they didnt vacuum or clean the back arm rest area so i had to wait for that, then when everything dried there was still a big spot on the back seat that they missed. I mean Christ they have one job..... someone also paired their phone with my car while it was there. my wifes car also took 3+ hrs to do when my cx 3 took like an hr and a half. I am very upset about my experience there. it is run by an ex marine it says, and while i have nothing but respect for those that serve or have. the quality of work allowed to leave this place is far below what i would expect from a marine.

My GTI looked like new! They did a great job. Excellent wash and wax. I spend a lot of time at a horse barn and they got the barn dirt out of the interior, too.

This place is absolutely phenomenal!! They did an interior detail and my car was spotless. I once went to a different auto detailer closer to my home and i regretted it. Ive been waiting to come here since before winter started and im so glad I did! What I appreciate the most is that they also detail and clean my weather tech mats. The other detail shop i went to did all the interior detail and then put the dirty weather tech mats back in my clean car. Detail Kings doesnt do that they clean my mats and make them shiny like new and put a paper mat down so that the carpet dries first. Its all in the details, literally!

They did a great job! I got an interior detail with this deodorizing/disinfecting spray. My car looks beautiful! It’s like it’s brand new! Paul was awesome, I called him about 10 different times and he was very nice and helpful every time I called! It was a little pricey but it was worth it! I will definitely go here again!

Had a great experience today. Had a hard time finding the place (It’s in the parking garage) but the person on the phone was so helpful navigating me to where I needed to be. I got the professional detail and everything was cleaned really well. I hope they can consider adding a deep cleaning of the door jams to there list because mine were really dirty and just drying the jams was not enough. Superb experience. Definite will recommend and be back soon.

I had the professional detail done, and they did a great job! My car exterior and interior was spotless. The customer service was great as well, everyone was so friendly. I really wish I took before and after pictures. I scheduled my husbands car for service immediately after seeing what a great job they did on my truck.

First of all..NO MASKS in an enclosed, small, cramped shop! Maybe that’s why your employees have COVID-19..ya think? I was very uncomfortable and disappointed none of your staff wore masks.Second, they called that my car was ready. Upon arrival it was no where near ready. Sitting in a lobby for 1.5 hours screwed up my entire day. I’ll be finding a new detail place.

After working for a residential cleaning service I understand that no clean is always going to be 100% perfect. Some spots will be missed, after all we’re human not robots. After doing some researching I found detail Kings and after seeing the amazing reviews I wanted to get my car detailed. I had some soda stains on the seats that I couldn’t get out myself so I knew that they weren’t going to do miracles on my car. After everything dried up the next day I noticed quite a lot of missed areas. As if the cleaners did a general wipe down and didn’t pay attention to detail. I called back and they were super nice about it And offered to redo the areas that were missed. Paul was really nice about the situation and his team did a fantastic job the second time around. They got all of the stains out of the seats and headliner.

In the beginning of January 2020, I bought my first (used) car – 2006 Honda Civic EX 1.8L 4D from a nice family from Hoffman Estates, IL. Since the car was sitting down in the driveway for a long period of time, it needed an interior detail. Despite of following my uncle’s advice to clean the car’s interior at home by myself, I thought to get it done by the ‘Professional Detailers’: Detail Kings based on their reviews on Google and Groupon. I chose their Butterfield Rd office because it’s close to my office. It was my mother’s birthday last Monday (01/27/2020) and I decided to go for “Professional Detail” (instead of cheaper “Interior Detail”) w/ a 25% off Groupon deal on it plus “Rid Odor Spray” for $50 (my car had cigarette smell absorbed) on that day so that I could drive her in a clean car having a brand new car feeling!Being the first time visiting any detailer, I was completely novice to this concept. At first, the owner Paul was first kind enough to tell me that he won’t charge extra for dropping me off as well to work in the morning and returning my car to work, but then after everything was done, he charged me $10 for the service. I was fine with that charge as well as the rid odor charge; however, it was EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL on Paul’s end that he didn’t keep HIS WORDS. Running such a thriving business at this level, he should adhere to the tagline of his company!! The issue which compelled me the most to write this lengthy two-star review is that when today I noticed the inside of my car in the daylight, I was shocked to observe that the car wasn’t completely vacuumed from the inside despite the professional detailing being done. Even the tar & grease removal wasn’t done fully. I was very unsatisfied with this kind of incomplete service and Paul, I don’t intend to demean your business on Google, Groupon, Yelp or Facebook. But it seems so unprofessional on the part of the business which claims to have received best business recognition. I don’t want to get my car redone/ touch up the unclean areas, but rather WANT FULL REFUND for the incomplete service.So the next day, I received a call from Paul, the owner. All of sudden he started to blame me for demeaning his business on Google, Groupon, Yelp and FB stating that I intentionally threw rubbish in my car just so that I could take pictures of it for this review. THIS IS SO UNETHICAL ON HIS END TO BLAME A CUSTOMER FOR HIS UNFINISHED service. Then, in order to prove his bogus point, he started swearing at me loudly saying that he has a family to support and in no way he can refund me full/half the money for the unprofessional service. He was extremely rude and loud to me as if I was his immediate family member. Henceforth, MY SINCERE REQUEST TO CUSTOMERS WHO ARE VISITING DETAIL KINGS UPON THE REVIEWS, PLEASE NOTE THAT THE OWNER HAS ANGER ISSUES AND IS EXTREMELY RUDE AND UNPROFESSIONAL. DO NOT GO BY THE STUFF HE HAS POSTED ON HIS WEBSITE. BEFORE VISITING PLEASE ONCE GO THROUGH ALL THE 1 & 2 STAR REVIEWS, ALL THE CUSTOMERS HAVE POSTED IT CORRECTLY!!!

First time customer looking to bring my Ford Mustang convertible a once over including soft top cleaning. They did a nice job going to go back.

Had a 6:30am appointment on July 3rd, which was the first Friday of the month ($25 off discount on the Professional detail). Dropped the car off just after 6:30 and they were already working on a car and ready to take mine. I came back after they called me at 8:30am and picked up the car. SHE WAS SHINING! Fantastic wax job and the interior was spotless. They conditioned the leather seats and took out all my weather techs and cleaned them too. Any stuff that were in cupholders, doors, on the floor, are moved to a single bag; so be conscious of this in case you dont want things touched. Overall, I cant wait to come back and get my other car done!

Detail kings is probably one of the best detail companies around. If you live in the suburbs of chicago I highly recommend these guys to anyone. I took my car in today for a Interior detail service and a rid odor spray service. The service only took about 2 hours. When I saw my car afterwards I was blown away. Honestly the car is cleaner than when I purchased it used from elmhurst toyota and dealerships detail cars before they sell them. My carpets look like new. My seats look amazing. The weather tech mats are spotless. The car smells amazing and is odor free. The outside of the car and windows are very clean and they add tire shine. The price of the service is a little pricey but is well worth it I promise. They offer a rewards program to earn points. They offer first Friday of the month coupons. Birthday Coupons through reward program. The owner paul is a very nice man and very helpful and professional. Overall exceptional place. they blow places like delta sonic, turtle wax, local carwash/detail places out of the water!!!

The work is done with care, and the employees work hard to keep up with the demand, BUT if you appreciate the work done please GIVE YOUR TIPS DIRECTLY TO THE EMPLOYEES because the owner takes them. This is completely inappropriate!I asked him why this happens and Paul said its because he pays them more than others (irrelevant), he gives discounts (irrelevant), and he has to make up for the wages...The guy seems polite, but he has anger issues. He overbooks and then gets mad and berates you when you ask for something simple.Recently the manager had to pick up her daughter, and she had a note annotated on the calendar more than a week prior. He publicly yelled at her. I thought it was a joke the first couple times, but he definitely doesnt have respect for anyone but himself, so I quit today.(..you can see his response on the reviews of the other location just south of this pin-drop.)
