Best experience I have had buying a car. This place reminds me of the Saturn dealership when we got the Saturn in 2000, the only thing thing that LazyChimp didnt have was the balloon and confetti drop after each sale but thats fine. TK help me from day one to the pickup date and kept me up to date on what was going on. I have never in my life dealt with a car dealership that was more honest and worked with us. I inquired about my Honda Sunday night through text! By Monday evening I was in my new vehicle. They also have a year warranty for their cars (hoping and pretty sure we won’t need it) but I’ve never been offered that before. It is the easiest car purchase experience I have ever had. The van was in great condition, I was ready to purchase it at the asking price which I thought it was very fair. It was a high mileage vehicle and no timing belt replacement record, i stated my concern, we quickly agreed on the resolution . TK is very pleasant to deal with, trade-in, tax and title were all taken care of on the spot, great experience.

Now the lies. No one offered to take back anything. I asked about a return policy and I was informed that lazychimp didn’t have one. I was told I had a warranty. The alternator is not what I informed lazychimp about it was the transmission and the hesitation in between gears. Lazychimp replaced the alternator because the battery light began flashing within 24 hours of purchase along with finding out that the bumper clips were broken and pops out of place there so called repair was hitting is back in so I can leave and it happen again. Also within 24 hours I find out the wrong exhaust shield they clamped on began to rattle and the repair job for that was was clamp on a different one instead taking a couple more minutes and bolting it the right way. The worst part about all of it is that this is the first and last time I buy a car from a dealership of any sort. I was told before car salesman are just like lawyers they lie for living. Lazychimps response just proves it. They can say what they want they know the truth they just can’t seem to tell it. To top it all off I was getting this van for my wife and kids. What would have happened if I didn’t drive it through the first week and the battery died or the alternator went out. Just something for lazychimp to ponder on. Thanks again for all the headaches.

Lazy Chimps did not honor their quote. Five days later, they claimed my car left tons of oil that they noticed when I left. No call was made to notify me . Instead, when I came with the title to sell it, they said they needed to look at the oil, because the quote would be lowered based on what they saw after I left. They saw oil in the pan while I was there to sell it. Since it was changed on the day of the quote, they called the mechanic. I offered and did go have them check the oil. It was fine and without leaks. When I called to tell him the good news, he said he’d ask his manager. He never called. I called on the last day of the quote. They still did not honor the quote. Their written quotes are not guarantees even when your car does not change in 7 days.In response to the Lazy Chimps reply, nobody else saw the leak. There was no leak. Fortunately, I sold my car for 650 dollars more than their written offer anyway.

I highly recommend LazyChimp, purchasing a vehicle is a long winded process and if you factor in COVID-19, it could be extremely overwhelming. Having analyzed, Cargurus, Carmax and every other dealership in the area, LazyChimp offered the best deal in the state of Illinois, which made my purchase easy and simple. We bought a 2011 Car with high miles from LazyChimp, and what sold me was the customer service provided by the GM, TK. I typically over-research our cars before purchase, and therefore drove probably 10 cars of the same make/model, and this one was in the best shape (body and mechanically). One differentiation was LazyChimp invites you - actually encourages you - to have your own mechanic look at the car before purchase. Other bigger dealerships may allow you to, but dont encourage it. Our timeline went like this:The first time we drove the car, the radio didnt work because they had disconnected the battery for maintenance, the A/C wasnt working, and the passenger door was making an odd sound. I shared that after the test drive, and got an email the next day that all three items were fixed. That was impressive - 24 hours later our items were addressed.We drove it again a few days later to confirm the issues were resolved. We also took it to our mechanic a few days later, who confirmed the car was in good shape, and gave me a list of things that were likely to go next. Among those were the brake calipers.We purchased the car after attempting to negotiate. I typically negotiate, but that is their business model and I did think the price was fair as it had come down over the previous week.After a few days, the A/C stopped working again, and one of the back brakes went out. TK owned the AC issue and fixed (and I know it wasnt cheap). I fixed the brakes because that was on me and my mechanic (that wasnt cheap either but remember, my mechanic highlighted that as one thing that likely would need to be replaced next - just unfortunate timing for me).I think the thing that stood out to me is the GM is an entrepreneur trying to create a different experience for car buyers. He cant control how a 9-year old car will perform after purchase, even after my mechanic checked it out, but he did go out of his way to make sure the things that he was accountable for were fixed when I ran into issues after purchase. I did not get the lowest price possible, but I did get a good value on a solid car, with no issues since then. I would recommend LazyChimp and would buy another car from them. He showed integrity, as I believe if I bought the same car from a dealership, they likely would have told me to go pound sand after the purchase.

I got a steal on a used 2010 Kia that looked practically new! Every car in their lot looked like it was in good shape. Ive had my car for a little over a month now and shes still running well. I drive her at least 90 miles a day during the week, and Ive had no problems with my car thus far. Its looking like the salesman wasnt lying to us when he said the car ran well. Their advertising of their car was honest. The service was quick. The salesman was cool, friendly, and took good care of us. He wasnt pushy or overbearing. I would come back again, if in the future I want another car. This place was a quality dealership and provided a quality experience for me.

Called a few days ahead to check out a vehicle. Was told to come by Saturday. Drove an hour away just to see the car for them to say they sold the vehicle. A phone call to let me know would have sufficed. Or to be advised to call before I drive a whole hour plus, would have been nice. I was NOT advised to call ahead. I was NOT advised to put down a security deposit for a vehicle I am unsure if I even want to purchase. Working at dealership myself, I know exactly how customers are supposed to be handled. A pending sale sign should have been posted. Instead, this company went with the first sale that walked thru the door.HIGHLY unprofessional. BBB will definitely be hearing from me.

This is now the third car we have bought from T.K. and Lazy Chimp. So being repeat customers probably says it all. In every case when we have come in for a test drive there were no surprises with the condition of any of the vehicles we came to see. There was no pressure and we test drove a few vehicles each time, sometime making two visits. T.K was very helpful in disusing the various cars we were considering in the context of our needs. All cars came with a Firestone inspection and a Carfax (or similar to) report. Prices are affordable and staff are very friendly and helpful.
