Taylor is an amazing barber with vast skill set. I’m always so impressed by the different clients she posts pictures of on social media. I’m pretty boring by comparison (just a simple fade) but I get compliments every time and it’s a great confidence boost every 4 weeks! Always enjoy the conversation and really love the new shop. Im not really one to write reviews but I had to for Taylor, Shes the best barber around and finally has her own shop!Taylor has been cutting my hair for the past 3 years, and our relationship started when I was looking for a cosmologist. It just so happened she could both give me the tightest fades and cleanest dyes. Ive since moved to the east coast and still havent found a new barber, I just wait until Im back in town to book another appointment. I always look forward to getting draped up and catching up with Taylor.The best part is I dont really need to specify what kind of cut Im looking for, I just gotta tell her to clean me up and its a 10/10 every time. Just take a look at her work, shes willing to experiment and will bring your hair game to the next level.

I decided to try out a new local barber, and I found the one! Jase was an expert at his craft and really casual to talk with. He really made me feel comfortable throughout the experience by listening to me as I tried to describe what I was aiming for and then he helped me narrow down what I wanted. I find that a lot of barbers tend to just take a gamble with my hair, but he was dedicated to making sure I was ecstatic with what I got. Jase showed me how I can regularly maintain this look with the product I already have (although I did buy some pomade that he had used, which Im excited to use). Great guy. Great barbershop. Definitely going again.

I’ll go ahead and start by saying that my experience was nothing less than fantastic. Taylor was amazing! She definitely brings her own unique style to anything that she does. A little bit of time into her cutting my hair I could tell it was going to be a very pleasant and enjoyable experience. I am very picky and meticulous with how I do my hair, I always worry about it not being perfect, after I explained with extreme detail how I wanted my haircut she smiled said perfect and got started! I was very excited and her talking to me and making small talk definitely calmed my previous mentioned nerves down. She displayed great professionalism, attentiveness to client, attention to detail and all within a timely manner! Would I recommend her? Yes I would!! Would I go back? Always! Very happy with her and her work and am looking forward to going back!

I have worked with Erika for several years. We started our hair journey together, however she exceeded my barber skills by far. She is definitely one of the most talented barbers I have known; even though we do not work together anymore, I still reach out to her when I have some questions about a specific cut. She is definitely known in Chicago area barber industry. I witnessed other barbers bragging about her work during several cutting classes. It was kind a cool to say that I have worked along her side for a while and I was able to learn from her. I had seen Taylor prior to her opening up Headspace to chop off my long hair. After finding out that she was opening up Headspace, I went to see her again to add some color to the look. I decided to step out of my comfort zone and try something new, and Taylor made that a comfortable experience the whole way through. I left with a look I love and trust in an artist that knows what’s up. Her vision for Headspace is clear and I am sure anyone would feel welcome there.

Best hair cut Ive ever gotten

I was skeptical at first cause I live far . But gave it a shot anyway .First impression was awesome, clean environment and the staff was great. Erika did an amazing job cutting my hair (I’m very picky too) and gave me different suggestions on different hair styles i might like and told me which ones would look natural on me . All in all 10/10 would recommend. Few neat places to eat afterwards as well near by .

This barbershop was created as a home, a sanctuary for all types of people esp being a woman! I’ve never felt so welcomed and comfortable! Going to barbershops terrified me and would instantly set off my anxiety until I met Taylor and her crew at headspace!I have short hair and always want tapers and fresh fades, however I didn’t want the looks and judgment from others for being a woman in a predominantly male atmosphere when I could go to a salon. This is a great barber shop. I typically get my haircut by Sarah Lawler and she does an amazing job. They really take their time and give you a quality cut. She even showed me how to properly style and take care of my hair given the way my cowlicks are. My past barbers often cut them too short an I end up with a spike in the back of my head in a bout a week. Not Sarah, she really brings her A-game every time. Definitely recommend her for good Men’s cuts!!

I followed Taylor from her former place of employment to her new space in Downers Grove. She is an amazing barber/stylist with great energy, style and personality. She offers a variety of styles but I definitely love her funky-punk rock style she seems to specialize in. Walk-ins are welcome but a barber/ stylist with her skills wont always be free so definitely book an appointment!
