If I could give them a 0 I would. I was renting a car through the insurance company I took the car back when I suppose to and tried to rent another car are rerent the car I currently had the guy told me the car I had wasnt suppose to have been returned I had extra days left they waited till the day before I was told the car was supposed to been returned to tell me I didnt have the extra days because the insurance company changed the day over the weekend when they was closed that they wasnt gone pay anymore so enterprise rental decided to keep my deposit which I feel was not my fault and my money should have been returned. Never again will I rent from them. Poor service all above they even gave me a car with cat are dog hair in it and I made them clean it out before I left.
I had a reservation at 10 am, rental wasnt ready till 12pm. Never once did I receive an apology. The blatant disrespect for customers time is very scary. If you do not have the inventory in stock then why not let customers know? Maybe notify me on the reservation email that there could an lengthy wait time. Whoever runs this place needs to serious evaluate their entire business process. I will never recommend this place to anyone.
Very unorganized and lazy employees at this location. The employees told my wife at 12:30 pm that we could pick up our rental between 3:30 and 4 p.m. Arrived at 4 pm. Was told at arrival time the car needed to be cleaned first. We waited for a hour and a half then was told they didnt know how long before we received a car. Then was told It would have to be picked up from another location. Witnessed several vehicles of different types being detailed and parked on the lot. At the same time the employees from the front desk constantly gathering in the back corner gossiping and laughing and joking on. Will never use this location again. Along with telling fellow businesses in the surrounding area along other states I own business in as well. Im a business owner and operator as well and this is not very perfesonal
Alot of thought went into this review. Wouldve loved to have given them a 4 or 5 stars. I didnt for the fact I put in my reservation a month and a half before I needed so i wouldnt have to wait. Still ended up waiting 2 hrs for a vehicle. Didnt get what I selected, went from an SUV to a Van. The manager at this location did here best to get me on the road. Got me in something else for the same price and a free day. So with that being said, that why I can only give 3 stars, never got what I selected and had to wait 2 hrs after my pickup time. Why reserve a vehicle if its not going to be ready... this should be very important. Shouldnt have had to wait.
Stood outside in the heat on a Monday morning over an hour because they didnt have clean cars. Then the car I was given was never cleaned. It was filthy. It had the worst odor. The windows had childrens handprints all over them. When I asked if they were going to clean the car, I was told it was clean and I could wait for them to rewash it. The inside was never sanitized or wiped down. The seats had stains all over. I had to ask for the windows to be cleaned. Definitely not the experience as advertised on TV.In addition to the car being nasty, the parking lot and grass is filthy. Theres trash all over. This facility is poorly maintained and managed.

Upon walking in the store the first thing Im told is that my car will be towed if left in their parking lot. There was no mention of this PRIOR to me driving an hour and half from home to get this vehicle! Their solution? Call someone else to drive an hour and a half each way to help me move it, but really not their problem. So, with two swollen ankles and a bad knee, I walk a mile from where I parked my car, praying that it would still be there when I got back, back to the store, Im told the car I reserved OVER A MONTH AGO was still not even in the lot let alone ready to go! When I asked for an ETA, Im told Im next on the list, but they have no idea when Ill have a vehicle (if I even get a vehicle as the girl next to me made a reservation 3 weeks prior and would not be getting the minivan she needed!). What good is a reservation if there is no guarantee theyll have a vehicle? Sorry, were experiencing a car shortage, no sir, youre experiencing an overbooking and VERY poor management. There was a line of people waiting outside for vehicles. They finally called me 20 minutes before they closed to say there was a car ready, so half of those people probably did not get their vehicles! I had left the city 30 minutes prior to their phone call as they had already put me 2 hours late for my sons graduation!They were rude, less than helpful and honestly turned me off from Enterprise entirely. If I had known there was a chance of not getting a vehicle, I would have had over a month to find a different solution, but instead, they let me believe that I could count on them, and they turned out to be completely unreliable and unpleasant. Stay as far away from here as possible, its not good for your health to be that stressed out over a service thats supposed to take the stress out of traveling! Oh, and enterprise wont pick you up, theyll make you walk a mile with two children in tow, because its not their problem.
Chose this location to book a van while we had family visiting town. Started off as less convenient as it is not at the airport. When we showed up we were told there were no vans available despite having a reservation. Offered a car, but we needed something that could carry 6 people. Told to they would call us when one came in. Never got a call. I called the next day and told still nothing available. Now 5 days into the family visit and still no van. Very frustrating, will not be visiting this location again and cannot recommend them.
DO NOT COUNT ON YOUR CONFIRMED RESERVATIONS.. 3 out 4 times now they have not had my reserved car or any other cars available... yes its 3rd time they have had to refund my reservation because of overbooking. This time its costing me a 350 dollar uber ride. Last time it cost me my non refundable plane tickets totaling almost 700 dollars they offer nothing but an apology and they blamed their overbooking on people not always showing up.So if you actually need the car better be ready to use uber..

This leads me to believe that the solution Enterprise prefers us to take has not been beneficial to the customers thus far. Therefore, I will make my claims public through Google Reviews so that future customers will hopefully realize that although Enterprise does respond to each customer’s review (which we do appreciate), the problems are not being resolved; they are continuing. Customers must understand that Enterprise is not the only rental car location in or around Dothan, Alabama and that the possibility of being cheaper is not always better. I chalk this up as a bad decision on my part for allowing the company another opportunity to disappoint me again._________________________________________________Original Post: August 30, 2021 @ 1100I promised to never do business with this location again after my wife and I reserved a car for a trip out of town and the assigned vehicle had not yet been returned nor cleaned.This past weekend we needed a vehicle which seated 7 passengers and this location offered the only minivan in town. When we arrived to Enterprise Rentals in Dothan, AL on Thursday at 09:50am for our 10am rental. The vehicle was not in the parking lot. After the vehicle arrived, it had to be cleaned. Customer service gave a quick walk around the vehicle, mentioned the vehicle only had 1/2 a tank of fuel, and gave me the key. As if they had better things to do or they had already wasted enough of my time. Our 9 hour drive was delayed an hour, but I let it go. While loading the vehicle, I noticed there was earrings and a lighter that was left behind from previous renters. Again, I let it go and placed them in the glove box.I took the vehicle to a gas station last night to put a little more than the amount they left me with when I picked up the vehicle. When I returned the vehicle this morning, they had not inspected the vehicle. Simply asked for the keys, asked me a few questions and told me the invoice would be emailed to me. I received the invoice and they charged me a refueling cost because they believe they issued me the vehicle at 5/8 tank and I returned it at 1/2 tank. When in reality, it was the other way around.They charged over $4 per gallon to refuel, when local fuel price is $2.80. Why would anyone ever allow them to add fuel when their price is that high? I was contemplating whether $12 is enough in my own fuel and time to go back and state my case, but then I thought, “is it really worth it?”Conclusion: I have had two terrible experiences consecutively with Enterprise Rental Cars in Dothan, Alabama on Montgomery Highway near Big Lots. In the future, if I need a vehicle that allows 7 or more passengers, I will rent 2 vehicles from Hertz or Avis before I go back to the disaster at Enterprise. I hope this review helps somebody.If anybody asks me or my family in this city or anywhere else about rental car referrals, the stories of Enterprise Rental Cars in Dothan, AL will be the first they hear.
Was told that they had a car available for rent and confirmed that I could arrive at a specific time for pickup. I also confirmed via phone TWICE that a car was available and would be ready for pickup. When I arrived at my scheduled time I was told that they supposedly dont do same day rentals and to try again tomorrow and that MAYBE something would be available. This was not translated to me over the phone and my time was wasted.

I understand it’s during the pandemic and people are sick and calling out but there is absolutely no reason I should have to wait 2 hours when my appointment was at 7:30 AM. Not only are the employees not understanding of the frustrations of the customers but I still had to pay full price. I should have gotten a discount especially since I am a loyal customer. I had to be at an event for my job by a car in certain time with a lead way of being able to be 30 minutes late, but I’m still here I got demoted which caused me to lose income,They need to get it together hire more help and people to clean to clean the vehicles. I’m currently still waiting on.

My car was stolen last week and my insurance company partners with Enterprise for rental vehicles. On Thursday, USAA told me that my reservation was sent in and Enterprise would be contacting me in no more than 2 hours. I never received a call from Enterprise. That evening, I sent an email to Enterprise informing them of the situation and they responded the next morning assuring me that they contacted the Regional Management Team for the Dothan office and they would be in contact with me as soon as they could. Well now it is Monday and I still have not received anything. I’ve had to go the entire weekend with nothing and I understand people get busy etc etc and that is why I have patiently waited for 4+ days now. My reservation went through and the least they could do is give me a call and say... they are working on it, or they are waiting on a vehicle, or they can’t do it, etc. but to have me waiting for days with no explanation or response Is completely unprofessional and inconsiderate
Make you wait outside in 90° over an hour for a vehicle. Lobby is closed. Would of be good info to have beforehand so I could plan better.
If it was up to me I will give them no stars this is the worst company I’ve ever dealt with for rental I’ve been on hold for hours waiting for someone to tell me what’s going on with my reservation.And when I show up to enterprise in Dothan Alabama all three of them employees just standing in front of the booth while I’m on hold watching them and they standing their lollygagging having a good time refusing to answer the phone and when I asked about my reservation they stated they did not have any cars available for me I will have to wait until a customer return the vehicle for me to get one and walked away. I’ll be wrong if I put their name on this comment but I am not going to Scoop to that level because of what they doing. I just know not to never ever refer anyone to that place.
One of the worst cars we’ve had yet! My mom rented a car from here because the Eufaula location we usually go to was out. It was a 2019 Hyundai Elantra and it was unkept. The tire was wobbling, the windshield wipers needed replacing, the bright lights did not work, and the tag on it was expired! Now to me all those things are important! Dothan Enterprise Rent A Car please do better before someone gets badly hurt and you end up with a lawsuit on your hands. Do us and yourselves a favor and check these cars before you send them with someone else!
I was able to reserve a vehicle online. When I called, I was told they didn’t have any vehicles. This is the worst Enterprise. I would not recommend.
I really dont want to give them any stars. It was the worst experience ever. It took over three hours to get a car and then the charged me for three days when I didnt even have it twenty four hours. I am going to deal with managers and such to get a refund. I would not recommend this place at all. They are really unprofessional and the cars are super dirty. I had to clean the windshield before I could drive it cause it was so dirty I couldnt see out of it. I cant express it enough do not rent a car from them they are the worst.
I gave one star ONLY because I had a great car! I had a reservation at 10am, which I made 1 week in advance! When I arrived there was no car! After a hour I went back in and asked about the car and was told “We have no control over when your car comes”! I was there until 2:30 pm before I got my car! They have no public restrooms!! I was never so frustrated as I could and should have been to my destination my now!! 😫 Nobody and I mean nobody said “I’m sorry “! As a matter of fact, I think they gave a could care less attitude about the whole thing!! Treatment was very poor!! Until I called corporate! I made a reservation over a week ago to pick up a car today at 3:30pm. It is now 5pm and no car. Apparently there are 5 people ahead of me on the waiting list to get a car. Why did I make a reservation if this is how it was going to go? I have never been so disappointed and aggravated with a place of buisness before. I will never use Enterprise rent a car again!

Normally every rental I get is clean and prepped. This time around the car smelled horrible, there was old receipts, and chargers left in the car. I was passed for time so I was stuck grabbing the rental anyways. Once I got stationary I scrubbed the seats, sprayed some heavy air freshener. Again, normally the is no problems but this time it was a bad experience
This company knows how to take the reservation but does not understand the fundamentals of business enough to know that if you take a reservation you should be sure there is a vehicle to give that person. If you see it’s been a problem for a while that people aren’t turning in cars then maybe don’t take as many reservations just in case. Then when you have customers who can’t get to places they are going in time because of it you might want to act like you have a tad bit of compassion instead of basically saying “your problem not mine”. Needless to say Enterprise didn’t get my business today nor any other time in the future. Back to Hertz I go.
Do not recommend this car rental at all! Second time Ive rented with them you have to wait almost an hour just to check-in. Well today I get there to check in, my reservation was for 2pm just for them to tell me there are no cars available. And They would have one ready by 5pm. I was scheduled to leave in an hour! Very inconvenient and professionalism sucks! Will definitely use Toyota rental or Hertz in future! A phone call to inform of such would have been lovely! One mad traveler!
Received a reservation for a vehicle last week and was told no cars and come back Monday. Went back today and the same song and dance. No cars w/30 people waiting ahead of you. That is some piss poor business practices of overbooking with terrible customer service that has no answers, only excuses. It would be prudent to advise your customer after securing a reservation if you can’t fulfill your obligation by placing a phone call and explain the issue. But maybe there isn’t a management person or employee that has that common courtesy or sense to make that decision.
Everything went well except after calling to confirm my reservation and that a vehicle was available at my reservation time I was told yes by the call center but was Put on a 2hr wait once actually getting to the rental location.

I booked an SUV over the phone. Thankfully, I arrived early to pickup the vehicle when they told me I had been booked for a compact car instead. They said I had to waite to see if they would even have one I needed. This simple mistake cost me a lot of money.
Enterprise has always been there for me in my traveling needs, customer service is always friendly, helpful and efficient. I went out of town to Michigan and they we’re life savers at the Airport Enterprise in Grand Rapids. Thank you so much
Seems there is always something going on with the Dothan, AL location. Now theyve gotten rid of the drop box for keys so business memebers who cant always be there when they open have to figure out ways to get keys to them. Add this to the issues with vehicles not being ready, or even being at location when its confirmed weeks in advance adds to the frustration of renting with them. Assistant Branch manager has stepped up and tried to make right last couple of times but I feel he is the only one concerned with how the business is going. If there was another location I would go to it in a heartbeat as I dont have these issues when renting from other locations across the country.
Every time I come to this enterprise I have issues... and not wait in line for 2hrs which I have ... or at the last minute told I dont have a car... good luck... this past weekend I was told I have to keep the car a extra day then I needed it because they were closed and they dont have the drop box anymore also receiving a car on empty is the new thing now and most of the time it smells like someone dumped a ashtray in the AC ... if you can avoid this place go anywhere else...

We use yo have great service. However today when we had a specific time to pick up the vehicle it was on its way there. On top of that they told us that they would call when it was ready and that they had 2 cars ahead of us. Almost 3 1/2 hours from the time we were suppose to get the vehicle (even after the express checkin done and all) we still havent gotten a call. Good thing I didnt have a schedule to keep or I would be even more upset.Edited... we delt with joseph and he explained everything to us and worked to make sure that we were taken care of. If you have to use this location I would suggest dealing with him.

Friendly fast service. Booked online, car was ready when I arrived. Took only 5 minutes at the lot to drive off. Returning vehicles are extremely easy even if they are busy. Just drop keys in overnight box and Thats it. They emailed my charges. These guys really helped a lot as I dealt with loss of family, by making my rental easy and fast.Thank youT. White

The staff at Dothan Enterprise were easy to work with. There was a deluge of renters due to Hurricane Sally. Fortunately our insurance company had phoned ahead to reserve us a car, but we still had to wait a couple of hours for a car to arrive. The car was very clean and in great condition since it only had about 13000 miles on it. I would recommend renting a car from them.
I rented a car from Dothan Enterprise Rental at the end of August 2020 for about a week. First they were understaffed. Not employees fault. Second I accidentally left my phone charger in the car upon returning car. When I called about getting it back (I assumed they would find it and hold on to it as most companies do) they said it had not been found. The only saving grace was a girl named Cassidy. She had a good attitude and got me to my car on time. THE only reason I gave 2 stars. Will never rent from them again.
Ive been trying to get a hold of someone over the phone but each and every time I have been on hold for over 20 minutes. I intend to drive to the actual location soon to get the help I need, dont bother with giving them a call.

I loved that the truck was ready when I arrived. The truck was dirty with dust everywhere in the inside. I like enterprise. They just need to clean the vehicles better. The staff and Joseph the took me to the truck was very nice.
The Dothan, AL location is always super busy. I think its time to upgrade to a larger facility with more cars and more staff. I had to wait over 90 minutes for my car. They estimated a 3 hour wait so I was happy to leave in 90 minutes. The employee that helped me was very nice and gave me a free tank of gas for the wait so I wasnt that upset when I left.
Enterprise customer service is the absolute worst. I have a rental that is currently inoperable meaning the car keeps cutting off! I had plans for this weekend were my husband and I were to spend our anniversary in New Orleans. Our rental started to give us trouble on Saturday afternoon I called roadside to see if I could get the exchanged in hopes of making being able to make it to New Orleans and to make to my hotelI’m time. They gave me an all around run a round! I kept getting disconnected from reps after having to explain my situation to 5 people one rep sends me the local airport to exchange the vehicle which turned out to be National rental car which has no ability to exchange cars for Enterprise. All of this resulted in us-being charged for late cancellation of our hotel andOther reservations and my anniversary being ruined and I still am not able to get any help tillMonday! I am beyond hurt and flustered!
Did not get the vehicle I reserved, was told that I could trade it at any Enterprise on my trip...tried at 5 locations and wasnt able to. I was stuck in a compact for a 518 mile trip. To top that off it poured rain and the windshield wiper only touched in one spot on the windshield. I tried to get 2 different locations to replace them to no avail. I only gave a one star rating because it doesnt give the option for terrible.
Not very helpful at all, I went 2 days straight but it was a waist of time. Its not any order in the office at all. I was told to come back the next day only to see sticky pads everywhere saying it is cars ahead of me but they had just gotten my name the day b4 smh.
I was on hold for over 30 minutes to get some one to answer the phone.
They were way understaffed with the amount of rentals they had appointments for the day I went to pick up. The staff doing their best is the only reason they got 3 stars.

Normally I have decent experience with them. This time, I waited over an hour after checking in to get the car. Apparently they were having a difficult time getting the cars cleaned and ready to rent. The car i got has a lot of paint damage on it. Its Apparently had a rough 30k mile life. After leaving the office I noted that a previous renter had smoked in the car. It had a strong smell of cigarette smoke that could not be covered up. I called about the issues with the extreme time to get the rental and told the person I returned the keys too. Apparently, they dont care.
Enjoyed the Dodge Durango; however, it was not clean when we picked it up. This surprised me, since we are in the middle of a pandemic and I thought it would be sanitized. I pointed out the sand on the mats and the ants crawling on the door, so they took it back to vacuum and determine the source of the ants. Still, I was stung at least six times before we were able to purchase and use ant spray. I reported this when I returned the car. A manager was supposed to contact me, but didnt. At the first emailed request to rate the experience, I contacted corporate. I love Enterprise and didnt want to leave a poor review. They were supposed to have the local manager contact me. I still have heard nothing since vehicle was returned about 10 days ago. I will continue to use Enterprise, as well as this branch, but this was the most disappointing customer service experience we have had to date.
I have been a customer for Enterprise Rental for over 4 years now. I made reservations online days before actually picking up my vehicle. However, when i arrive at Enterprise Rental in Dothan Alabama. Several people was in line with me, everyone had left and I sat in my vehicle awaiting for a vehicle to arrive from getting the oil change. My trip was to begin at 9:30 a.m. however, I did not leave Enterprise Rental until 11 a.m. That is ridiculous. I actually sat and listen to the agent tell another customer (man) that she could accommodate him by placing him in another vehicle whom came way after I did. But I had to wait for a vehicle to arrive. I never had that type of experience with Enterprise Rental before at all. The vehicle that I finally was provided, smelled like smoke and was dirty under the seats and all.
Unable to take advantage of the van as we planned.1). We are negotiating to buy a Ford Transit, including from Enterprise. So we wanted to rent one first. They made us take the Chevy.2). Enterprise is very strict about removing seats that we didnt need. We had to cut back on the luggage we could take and couldnt put the bikes inside.3). Enterprise removes the hitch receiver from their vans, so we couldnt use our bike rack.4). The previous renter trashed the van. The unit was filthy and trashed when we picked it up. We showed up for our.appointment on time but Enterprise had to wash and vacuum it again. They missed a.lot, since they wont remove seats before vacuuming. Lots of left over trash under the seats and in the wells.Chevy drivers seat is no good for more than 3 hours of driving. Really hurts the back and behind.Dash backlight is very weak and hard to read. These Chevy units do not have the advanced engines so hiway mileage was about 13. The Ford would have been better.
I made a reservation with them last Friday for 4:30pm and called the morning of my reservation to see if they knew what kind of SUV we would be getting. They said no, and were really rude about it. I show up for my reservation and when someone finally came outside she told us they had no vehicles whatsoever and were not expecting any in. They were turning people away, even those with reservations. I ended up renting from AVIS at the last minute. WHY was I promised a vehicle? If you couldnt deliver on that, why was I not told when I called that morning? Why did no one pick up a phone all day long to let me know I was SOL and needed to make other plans?I tried again just now and again the rude employee interrupted me to tell me they had no cars. I will never try again. You people are terrible.

I will never rent from enterprise again, they confirmed 3 vehicles for me, then when I showed up, the truck that I was confirmed, wasnt there. 3 different locations, then I finally just reserved a SUV then they would not take my card, Ive used my Regions bank card numerous times with Enterprise, this will be the last time I ever use Enterprise again, and I will blast their bad business all over social media! Yall suck
Consistently no cars available, and unappoligetic staff.I made a reservation at this location TWICE. Both times they did not honor my reservation and offered absolutely no solution or apology. Save yourself a lot of frustration and money and do not book with this location.
I registered online for a reservation to pick up a vehicle at 12pm. I enter my Credit Card info and thought I would be picking up the vehicle at 12pm but when I got to Enterprise they told me and the 2 people ahead of me it would be an hour wait and I could leave my phone # or wait. It was 4 hours and 15 minutes when I was called to be told my rental car was ready. They closed in 45 minutes. They said the only had 4 people running the office and 1 person cleaning returning vehicles. ONE person cleaning cars to be turned around and rented out. ONE!!! Get some employees!!! You’re making plenty of money!! Hire people to uphold a reservation time!!! Or at least let someone know before they show up at the front desk with someone who has taken their time to drive you there and waste their time because your company can’t seem to hire enough people to uphold your word! I had people waiting on me and I was 5 hours late! Then do not lie to everyone in line waiting by telling them it will be an hour when you clearly know it will be way longer. I even clarified it really just taking an hour. “Yep, an hour for real”. Liar!After finally getting a call and figuring out how to get back to your office, it was a smooth and easy rental process and the car was great. Drop off process was speedy and easy. Just hire some people!
The Manager was unperfectly the car i rented paying close to $600.00 was giving me problem and the battery die. They didnt want to change it. saying since i was frm Miami they cant switch it. Never again renting frm Enterprise( Two thumbs down)
The car was very nice and the employees were also. However, it is very inconvenient, especially during a pandemic, to not have a contactless way to return the vehicles. In Dothan, Alabama, the night return drop has been completely removed. I had to return the next morning to return the keys and wait in a line to return the car. Very inconvenient as I live about an hour away. That is the only reason for giving this location/experience two stars. Otherwise, it would have been five. Put some contactless way to return the vehicle/keys in place.
Staff at the Dothan location could be a bit more professional and curious but an ok experience .
Was supposed to be picked up from the repair shop. Driver/car never showed up. After 45 minutes of waiting I called the store to see what the problem was. They informed me I was supposed to call the morning of to remind them to pick me up. I was never told that when I set the appointment to be picked up. I said okay. Well I will be there in about 30 minutes. Do yall have a car for me. They replied yes. Well I got there and I had to wait for over an hour to be put in a car. I was supposed to be picked up at 830. Finally left with a car at 1 pm.
This was an horrible experience the car smelled like smoke. Our son couldn’t ride with us because he has asthma and it triggered his asthma. Our clothes smelled like smoke everywhere we went we don’t smoke or do we won’t to smell like smoke this was horrible mostly because our son couldn’t not ride with his family.
I put my information online an was told to come pick up truck at 12pm. I took my lunch break time to go pick up rental truck an had a valid licence an valid bank account. The guy told me that I needed to have a major credit card an a bill in my name or paycheck stub. My point is first of all why didnt I get told that before I drove all the way there an second why did I need all the extra information. Why wasnt my licence an bank account enough. Im very upset .
I dont understand that having to have a credit card if you have a debit card with the amount of money on it that you need they need to change this
This location leaves a lot to be desired in customer service and experience. They called the day of a reservation to cancel due to lack of vehicles without any other options available.
I waited 3 hours outside in the heat to get a rental. When I finally got the rental the car was really nasty it looked like a 3 year old washed it. The inside was not cleaned had pennies from the previous renter. The windows you could not see out of because it was smeared with something all over them. I was so mad I did not want to wait no longer then the three hours that I already wasted out of my day I have pics also
I’ve reserved a car for the past 3 weeks. Every time I get to Enterprise rental to pick up my car they say that they either don’t have a reservation for me or they try to put me in a car with a higher price than I reserve. Today they said they they had no reservation for me, when I goes to pick up the car. They had plenty of cars. Then they try to put me in a car for 75$ and told me that that’s all they had. My reservation was for a car that was 35$! This is in Dothan Alabama. If they didn’t have the car that I reserved they should have just gave me that car for 75$ for 35$ car that I reserved. You got to be fair with your customers.😡😡Now I’m home with no car to drive. Can’t go on my trip!
First and foremost the workers here were friendly but the company has some very serious issues. I had a reservation for 8am and at 12pm I was still waiting for a car. They booked 20 to 30 people for 8am pickup with no cars ready.Due to not getting my car after 4 hrs, I could not make the appointment I had 4 hrs away and was cancelled and missed a very good opportunity. So Enterprise has always treated me well the past few times but this was a joke. Why would a company schedule so many pickups for one day if they cant fulfill there reserved time. I mean an HR sounds reasonable but after 4 hr wait there was no way I could drive 4 hrs away and make a very important date that wad scheduled. Makes me look bad to my appointment and this makes Enterprise look like a place I will not be going back. I pray all of you have a whole day of waiting to pick up your rental. As of today they booked 116 cars and at noon still working on 8am reservations. Enterprise says they will pick you up they need to change that slogan. Id been better off renting a uhaul.Good luck and make sure your not on a schedule. They are not on any schedule. Just want to book unlimited cars to people they cant even rent out.Kudos to the nice employees. Its not there fault.Good luck renting.
Terrible service. What is the point of me making a reservation for a specified time if they are not going to have the car ready at that time. And not only was the car not ready at the reserved time, I sat there for over an hour and watched people who arrived AFTER me be put into a car before me. I was the LAST PERSON ON THE LOT TO BE PLACED IN THE WRONG CAR, NOT ONCE, BUT TWICE. This is not a one off, they are not understaffed. This is the SECOND time that Ive had this experience at this location. Then they give me the WRONG CAR. The car is DIRTY during COVID. This place is unprofessional. Take your business elsewhere.
Arrived for pickup of vehicle to be informed that lost 2 employees and down to staff of 2 to do all. 45 minutes to wait, well 2 hours later we still didnt get our car until I started getting upset because it was very hot outside and I take a lot of medication which when I get hot makes me very sick due to my health problems. And I am not supposed to be in the sun or heat due to medical issues. But finally received car, and agent did apologize.
They should put on their website that a prepaid visa card is not acceptable as a form of payment.Wasted time and gas for my daughter to drive me 60 miles round trip all for nothing 🤬🤬🤬
I booked a Premium SUV 2 months prior to rental date so that I would be sure to get the rental that I needed. I checked in the week prior to pick-up day to make sure everything was in order and was told everything was on track for my rental. I go to pick up my rental and was told that they were trying to find me a rental and that the one SUV that they had was not available due to previous renters losing the keys. Roger the store manager assured me that he would get me the rental and that he had located one in Valdosta, Ga. A few hours later after not hearing anything, I called Roger to get an update. Roger then told me that he had a SUV in Valdosta, Ga. but couldnt get it here before they closed.Had I known this earlier in the day, I could have picked it up in Valdosta myself but now its closing time. I was told that they had a smaller SUV available. I had rented the larger for a reason, we had a lot of luggage and other necessities that we HAD to have on this trip. We go back to Enterprise to look at what was available. We end up having to go with a Ford Flex which was half the luggage space as the Suburban that I rented. We ended up having to leave some of the things that we needed and buy them when we got to our destination only to leave them behind again. They did give us a discounted rate but it was less than $200.00 difference. In the end they cost us a lot more than $200.00. About half way into our trip we notice another issue, the tag is expired! The management team at the Dothan location is horrible. I truly believe that had I not called to check the progress of my rental that they would have closed the store that day and never contacted me.I was told by Roger that I would be getting a call from the Regional Manager. Im still waiting on that call.
I reserved a minivan through the Enterprise app for a 9-day rental from 9/6/19 – 9/15/19. I was greeted and checked in promptly by the friendly staff at the Dothan, AL location. The minivan they had for me was experiencing some tire issues, so they upgraded me to a 2018 Ford Expedition Max for the same price as the minivan. The lady at the counter let me examine the vehicle before anything else to ensure that it will fit my needs. It surprisingly had more room than I thought and by the end of the trip was preferred over a minivan. After the counter paperwork, the lady and I walked around the car and documented any defects or marks. She walked me through the paperwork on a tablet by the car. The price was initially wrong on the tablet due to the vehicle upgrade, but she promptly corrected it. After initialing and signing, I was on my way. I am so happy that Enterprise Rent-A-Car accepts debit cards. I was nervous because other rental car companies state online that they don’t. I had no issue using my debit card. They took out a $200 deposit from the debit card for my rental, but after I returned the car and got checked back in, I got the $200 back in my account in about 1-2 days. Overall, I had a great experience and will definitely use them again!
We made a reservation for 4 pm and arrived a few minutes after.We were told the last reservation is done at 4 pm which is the time of our reservation. We were told they could not honor our reservation because they close at 5 pm. This is something that was not communicated to us at the time of the reservation. If you close at 5pm I see no reason why we couldnt get our reservation. We reserved this car to be able to go to work almost a hour away. We will never use Enterprise again...
This is the SECOND time weve had major issues at this location ! I spoke to them on the phone to confirm my pick up time for that day.Instead of telling me they DIDNT HAVE ANY CARS then, I was told AFTER I got there!!! and that Id have to wait. And that they didnt know how long. They blamed a hurricane .. I blame your manager and incompetent staff! This wad the same issue as last time !

Had a reservation made and paid for . Arrived to pick up the car, and was told it would be five hours before I could get the car. Had to drive my own vehicle for company trip. Will never rent a vehicle again forM here. The girl was very rude as well.
The personnel here at this location are absolutely the best I have ever met at a car rental company. This very busy location is a high pressure situation for all the employees. Everyone of them handled the high volume of customers arriving to rent and return vehicles with great kindness, warmth and professionalism. This is a daily occurrence for them here in Dothan. The employees have my greatest respect.
I rent a car 4-5 times a year. Most of the time a week. I have never been disappointed in a vehicle I rent until this time. Most of the time I rent a midrange suv. There has never been a problem. But this time I got a Jeep Compass. I never want one of those again. I realize that with the pandemic everyone is in a bind.

Horrible wait time at Dothan, AL location. Made reservations and still had to wait 4 hours to get my car. All customers had long wait time. Customers were told when they arrived on site that there would be a wait, when I asked how long of a wait, I was told they were unsure. Later they began telling customers it was a 3 to 4 hour wait. The wait time should have been communicated to customers before they arrive either via text or email. I don’t believe its the fault of the onsite agents as they were doing the best they could with only two people washing cars and two people tending customers. I was also told its been a regular occurrence every Friday.
Would give 0 stars if possible.I scheduled a pick up for 9am.It is now 10am and my car is not ready and I am still waiting.What is going on here...

OMG This company really knows how to treat there customers. They went way above and beyond for my needs. The vehicle was perfect and very fun to drive. Insane low price and amazing customer service. I received my deposit back on my card before I even left the building. The rental process was so smooth and fast that it was done before I even thought it had started. They picked me up and drove me home too. No questions asked. I will never go anywhere else again. Thank you to the Enterprise family in Dothan on Montgomery Highway, from the Grooms family!
Dothan Al location called and asked I arrive at 1:30 to receive my rental. I arrived at 1:15 and was told to check in then go run errands because the vehicle would not be available for 2 hours. My husband left work and drove me 45 minutes to this Enterprise location. He needed to get right back to work. It was raining so I asked if there was a place I could sit inside to wait for the vehicle. Unfortunately, the office was closed due to COVID19. We left without a rental. Reading other reviews it looks like the 2 hour wait is standard for this location. Additionally, while holding to speak with a representative concerning our situation the voice mail talks about a family owned company able to give great customer service. That is just not true.
The last 3 times we reserved a car they did not have a car when it was time to pick up. We usually use them. Weve been trying to give them a chance each time, but this is going to be our last time. The last time we reserved one extra day ahead of time just in case. Still had no car. This time we even gave them 3 extra hours and still no luck. We are going back right before closing and sitting there until we get a car. We will also be cancelling our December reservation and not choosing them as our first choice anymore.
Received great customer service from Roger. I will definitely be using Enterprise next time I need to.
I was not impressed with the service at all. The vehicle was not cleaned on the inside at all, I had to clean trash out and there was barely enough gas to get the vehicle to a gas station. I also had to wait almost an hour longer than the promised pickup time. I will look elsewhere for a rental in the future.
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!USE HERTZ IN DOTHAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Rented once and attempted to rent once from the Dothan location on Montgomery Highway. Both times waited over an hour and a half. This past time, Tuesday June 30th, I had a truck reserved at 8:00 per the app. When I arrived there were 3 customers waiting outside. Several employees, Id say 4-5 were sitting inside a cubicle talking while 1 person was washing cars. Apparently they dont clean any vehicle until the customer is there waiting. They would casually check people in as they come up. An hour later, I was still waiting with about 20 other people. A gentleman questioned them about this, and they told him it was always an hour minimum wait for a vehicle there. He took pictures of the one person washing. They did not like this and asked him not to, then 3 started washing. I inquired several times about the remaining wait time, and was told each time I was next up. I clearly was not because I reserved a truck and could see no trucks being cleaned. Even though the Hertz app showed no trucks, I called Hertz (AT 9:45) in desperation due a meeting I had several hours away. The nice lady had 1 truck just returned and said she could have it ready once she sent it to the airport Hertz to be detailed. I explained my frustration with Enterprise, and she told me to come on and get it. She went out and cleaned it herself and had it ready when I made the 10-15 minute drive to Hertz. I was in and out within 10 minutes of arriving. I would pay double and go with Hertz vs. Enterprise now. Thanks Hertz for the great customer service.

I had the worst experience with Enterprise Rent Car June 29, 2020. I wish I could give them negative 5 stars. I rented a car for our trip to Orlando. I made my reservations 3 weeks prior. My reservation time was 12 pm. I got there at 11:50 am. I knew it was going to be hectic and busy because of the holiday. So I asked the guy who worked outside with the tablet how long it will be and he said we will call me in two hours. They called me in an hour and a half. They said its ready. I said okay I live in Headland I will be there in 30 minutes. So I got back to Enterprise Rental and Im still waiting 30 minutes later they say oh you took to long we gave it to someone else. Then they say we have something else getting washed and you will be ready. So 15 minutes go by and they say we have you ready Ms. Warren I was like cool. When we got to the Hyundai Elantra. It look like someone drove it through a sand storm. I told him this has not been cleaned. I was so upset I said whatever. I left with the car. It was on E so I went fill up the car and after filling it up the car gas hand started going down. I didnt want to chance driving this car to Orlando so I called them immediately. They said to come up there we have something else. I said what about my gas I just put in she said we dont do refunds. I said okay Im not going to return the next vehicle full. I got back to Enterprise the 3rd time that day only to be given the keys and him saying the car is over there. I press the alarm and it was a Kia Soul. I did not sign up for that and I told them this is not what I paid for. Since then Ive called Corporate office 3 times and Im still waiting on a call back. I filed a formal complaint, but I guess they are busy too. DO NOT GO TO ENTERPRISE RENT A CAR IN DOTHAN AL.
