I been coming to this establishment for 1.5 years and the other 2 managers prior to David was professional and accommodating. Im not looking for anyone to give me anything, but great service and David is the worst manager Ive ever encounter at a facility I am applaud by the poor service I received from this establishment. I have had 2 visits in a row that was horrible. 1st was a mask situation when I forgot mine and was told I need to go out to buy one within 9mins or the facility would cancel my visit. I understand mask requirements due to Covid 19, and had No problem going to a local store to buy one, but to be informed by dental representative that I would be cancelled if Im not back within 9 mins is terrible, as I was going through severe dental pain and I am applaud by the poor service I received from this establishment. Also, it’s terrible that a medical facility does not have extra mask. However, when I spoke to David (Manager) just asking why they do not have extras, he was rude and disrespectful and advise, “they just do not have them”. I said, Thats Ghetto, and he then told me if Im not happy to go somewhere else(wow, and he is he manager that represent the company, and is telling a paying customer that is not loud and obnoxious to go somewhere else because I asked why mask wasnt provided. Lastly, I was seen September 15th, by Dr. Oliver(nice and professional dentist),and was referred to see a specialist regarding my tooth pain, I then asked for more amoxiciillin due to the fact that I only had a few pills left, and had to make an appointment with a specialist that will take time, her assistant then provided with 5 papers including the prescription. I failed to get the scripts filled immediately, but Now I have None left and I am in pain, couldnt find the paper script that was given, so I immediately called the dentist to request dental personnel to send the script directly to CVS for me since I could Not locate the paper. Spoke to Reese and she was adamite about resolving this issue, but she needed assistance from David, David then got on the phone and advise that they “Do not have anything in their system indicating that I received a script during my Sept 15th visit, he then implied that I was lying about even have a script. So, I decided to search high and low in my house to find the paperwork and sought that my daughter put the script in the kitchen cabinet. I informed David I have 5 papers from the Sept 15th visit and wanted to send them to him via email to prove that I am not a liar. However, when I looked at the script it does have the date of Aug 20th, and not the Sept 15th date. I advise that his facility mustve made a mistake printing me out an old script. He then went on saying that it’s not possible even when I ask how did I get a copy of a script that was already filled? The script that I received August 20th was sent straight to CVS, so how did I get a copy of a script that was called in to the pharmacy by his staff. I was so frustrated on the call, and then he tells me in order to get amoxicillian he can schedule me a visit to see the doctor AGAIN. Why would I schedule another visit when I was prescribed medication Sept 15th? It is not my fault that the medication was not in their system right or that they printed me out a script with the wrong date, but the manager requested that I find another dentist or reschedule the appointment which is ridiculous. You want me to pay more money to get a script that your dentist gave me Sept 15th. I am sad. I’m writing this review because I am a manager, and I would never treat people how David treated me.

This place is by far the best place I have ever been too for dental work. The staff : Especially Ms. Sheryl know what they are doing. I was not nervous or concerned about my medical condition I felt they would hear me and my concerns and I have not see the doctor as of yet. They were able to make sure I was seen in a squeezed in appointment. I love see all the pretty black faces and warm environment

Dont even bring your dog to this place. First impressions is everything. I was trying to establish a new dentist office for my family of five. I wanted to go first to see what it will be like. I came in on time to find that they only had two to three chairs in the waiting office. I had to stand and fill out new patient paperwork. Then an argument started to break out with an alcoholic woman and man in the office. Security had to come out to escort them out of the building. Then as I was on time for my appointment three people went ahead of me that came in after me. When I asked about this I was told that their primary doctor sent them in.? This is this is a dentist office what primary doctor sends them for dental appointment. Never heard of such in my life. Needless to say I walked out very satisfied that I did not allow them to do any work on my teeth. Stay away unless you like this type of environment.

I had to get 6 extractions and was very nervous. The dentist came in to discuss the exactly what she was going to do during the visit. I expressed how nervous I was with her and she did her best to make me feel comfortable. The procedure went better than expected. I experienced minimal pain during the injections. No pain at all during the procedure. I would definitely recommend this dentist and office.

Tori was very gentle and caring. She didn’t hurt my mouth at all. She showed she knew what she was doing and did it with such care.

Been coming here since my 13y.o. was 1 and even though they do good work the customer service has went down. Very slow dont answer phones and overall not the same. People are still very friendly and they do offer great work.

I really wish u can give this place a million 00000...they actual made my teeth worser didn’t numb me in the right spots for my fillings and didn’t polish my teeth down after jus left some of the material on my teeth.... I was traumatized from getting any work done from the dentist after this place as a adult they was rough on my teeth and wen I said something she said I didn’t suppose to feel it and I said well I do I went to river oaks I had 4 or 5 fillings at once didn’t feel a thing and I’m 7 months pregnantsmh worst place every ain’t Ntn gentle about the fasure

Wonderful/knowledgeable staff however the front doesnt follow up or handle problems well. Took months to straighten out an incorrect bill that was sent to collections. Scheduling has been screwed up several times resulting in me having to endure additional unnecessary dental work.I think the new office Manger may have things under control now but it was bumpy there for a while.

Great 6 month check, had xrays, cleaning and the famous talk for making sure I floss. My appointment was in the afternoon and I was in and out in about 45-50 minutes. Wonderful staff.

This is the sorry dental company that Ive ever been to. Everytime I come here for an appointment theres a different doctor working in my mouth. They dont inform you of that, they barely call to confirm appointments. They didnt call me because they had the wrong number in system, but has called me before so Im wondering if they even attempted to call or did they really have the wrong number. Then when I see a new doctor sitting in the chair I ask her are you going to be doing my feelings? She got offended and got smart talking you saying it like you dont want me to do them. First off heffa youre a new person and I have the right to ask questions. They dont inform you of the important things. In my eyes thats important to know that a new doctor is about to perform a procedure in my mouth. Some are very rude, but not all. Then I was told I keep getting new doctors because of covid-19 thats not true. Dr. Oliver Is her name, while trying to numb me I feel the needle go through my tounge,I make a nose to let hey know she tells me she didnt; but Ive gotten fillings before I know how it feels. Then after coming back she hit the air on my teeth which Im sensitive to anything cold,to start the procedure I said oh and she got mad and said she cant do anything for me. Her attitude was already negative from the first conversation we encountered. Im waiting on corporate to give me a call back as soon as possible. The manager at the grand River office didnt want to give me the corporate number so I had to call a different location to get it. Yall have some sorry unprofessional people working for yall company and its said. Ill never recommend anyone else to this company. Exactly why I took my daughter out,I shouldve followed suit.

Dr. Oliver and Dr. Dino is the best ever. I just meet Dr.Dino and he not going to sugar coat anything when it comes to your oral health care and I appreciate this entire dental office. I can honestly say I recieved VIP treatment!They adjusted my appointment time to get me in earlier and clearly explained my new treatment plan...They worked with me about my insurance and made adjustments to fit my situation...They also gave me a few secret industry tips on dental home treatment and preventative care!I highly recommend them!

Rudest people in the world. Act like you are bothering them while they are at work. Called 3 times to get an appointment and they kept putting me on hold then got smart “didn’t you just call”... right you kept putting me on hold. Wouldn’t take a stray dog there if that’s any indication of the service.

I took my 3 year old here and they were amazing. 😊 i will be returning. The total time spent there was an hour including waiting and his cleaning and exam. I was very impressed. The receptionist remember me from the last time it was a very pleasant experience for my son and myself the staff was amazing.

My deepest encounters are with Consuela, who is an absolutely exceptional hygienist, but my interactions with each of the other team members have also been remarkable.As an added benefit, this place is comprised largely of women of color. If you’re looking for a new dental home, here is a desperately welcome alternative to the dry, fast-paced racket-types dominating the practice. ❤️

Assistant Manager Charell was great and the rest of the staff as well they were very polite and helpful in my experience at Gentle Dental Grand River.

When I made my appointment I specifically said teeth cleaning, when I spoke to the women at the front I said teeth cleaning, on my paperwork I said teeth cleaning, to every staff member I came into contact with I said teeth cleaning yet no one told me that I would not be getting a teeth cleaning until I was asked to leave with out a teeth cleaning, a whopping two hours after sitting there waiting for one. I am really disappointed in your communication skills across the board and I would not be willing to recommend you to anyone I know, I would be much more likely to warm them of the poor quality.

I booked online. Great! When I got here I was welcomed with smiles. I got what I needed immediately. There wasnt a long wait time. Everyone was courteous and friendly. Very helpful staff. I am happy I chose this place. My children got in and the services were completed in a timely matter. Overall this is one of the best dental centers I have been too in every aspect. Its clean, Very clean.

I did a walk-in for tooth extraction which went great it was painless and quick! The staff was amazing and so was Dr. Oliver I was nervous because it was my first time. She provided comfort and was even able to explain what I might feel and hear. The experience was great all together it was a wait because I did walk-in so they had to squeeze me in where they could. I can honestly say I’m satisfied and so happy I’m not in pain anymore!!!

I always have a great experience whenever I visit this office. The staff makes sure I am comfortable and pleased with the service. His dental assistant (Darnell) makes you feel as if you have knew him personally forever, he be all up in your personal business always asking are you pregnant and telling you what you cant do. Toni the hygienist is great! Then theres Erin, shes always asking me for my money. I love the staff here. Im in and out and everyone is excellent when it comes to my care. I havent been to the dentist since I was a teenager so needless to say I was super nervous, embarrassed, & ashamed. The front desk staff was friendly and welcoming. Also the dental hygienist that cleaned my teeth was gentle, thoroughly cleaned each tooth, & she was super sweet. The dr gave me a clear game plan and explained everything to me. I was not suprised at check out by any copays. It was all explained to me before the procedure. I am looking forward to continuing my dental health journey here. Thank you all soo much!

This place is a corporate scam! I went to another dentist to get a second opinion on the work they wanted me to have done and I found out none of that work was needed.

The staff are nice. The dentist was very kind. My waiting time was good. The setting is comfortable that I was very relaxed. The hygienist was friendly and caring no rush job. I like coming to Gentle Dental at Grand River Detroit the best dental place I have been to in all my life.

My children and I have been coming here for years. I love the atmosphere the staff there are super friendly, which helps you relieve some of the anxiety about being at the dentist. They Are the BEST when it comes to the children. I had to take my oldest to get a cap replaced and my youngest said Mommy my teeth are dirty so I need to get them cleaned 😂😂😂 So that statement coming from a 3 year old let me know that we made the right choice for our dentist...

It was the first time I was there, and I came back home very satisfied for the profesional work done from the Higienist Consuelo Olivares.The manager was very kind, profesional and also explained me, very good, the treatment I’ll need.

Don’t mind the 5 star reviews, they’re all fake because they know what type of service they’re really giving to patients. If you can help it, go elsewhere. These people have terrible attitudes, no regard for the patients needs/ personal space, they don’t introduce themselves, they touch all in your mouth without explaining what they’re doing. A manager or boss is non existent & these 5 star reviews are fake. They ask you to leave them a good review even if you aren’t a patient.

I have been coming here for a few months and I’m always treated to my satisfaction or leaving with a great smile.. i Would Definitely recommend... Dominique always Help me out and provide whatever you need.. she is a great person, she talks with you makes you laugh and just make sure your in great shape

This office was amazing, Egypt and the gang really took care of me. Her customer Service was excellent at the visit even when i called to schedule a appointment.! Doctor Olive was a joy as well i will be telling friends and family about this office GREAT job guys.!

Called this morning to get more information. I was on hold for more than 15 mins. I hung up and called right back. Finally I spoke with a very rude receptionist. She was impatient, unhelpful and just plain rude. I needed clarification etc and she just kept asking if I wanted to book an appointment. Dentists might be good but they just lost a family of patients due to rude and unhelpful receptionist!!!

I had one extraction and several fillings worked on. Dr. Oliver and her assistant were wonderful. My teeth are in bad shape and Dr. Oliver took care of me in a timely, very professional manner. I would recommend this clinic to any one. The receptionist and billing clerk were also very pleasant and courteous.

As a non-practicing physician, I found these these providers to be absolutely terrible --- nice looking place but wholly incompetent. I had to explain to them what the purposes of various processes were & I knew the dentist was extremely unprofessional due to her extensive ignorance in almost all facets of basic medicine/sciences (patient history). She wanted my doctors okay because she didnt know if it was safe to proceed (lazy & unprofessional awareness lacks credibility, a routine full exam & cleaning). IT WAS SAFE! ZERO RELEVANT CONTRAINDICATIONS!! I SAID IM THE DOCTOR, ILL SIGN IT, NOW GOOOO!!! ITS JUST A CLEANING! Not to mention I waited forever & was told they wouldnt do what they told me they would do (prepaid) ... honestly. GOOOOOOOO ELSEWHERE FOLKS!!!! DONT TRUST THEM WITH YOUR HEALTH IF YOU CAN AVOID THEM!! NOT EVEN CLEANINGS/EXAMS because what are you going to do when they find something? Trust these people have no idea what the basics are? No, go elsewhere.

Horrible horrible experience.the only thing that makes it worth 1 star is the people were nice. Booked appointments for my 2 boys months in advance. I get there and they say they dont have the insurance info for 1 of my boys. Would have been nice to know ahead of time but whatever call my insurance company and they send over the papers and said they had already sent them 2 days ago when they called and asked. So my boys were in the chair and while I was handling the insurance situation they kicked my boy out of the chair and room who insurance wasnt coming up. So after all that they finally get him back in a room and it was so unorganized and ridiculous I almost left several times. Im finding a new dentist for my boys Ill go back to the suburbs this was ridiculous. Its more that happened to but I dont feel like typing anymore.

The office manager is great. He try’s his best to make sure all the customers have a great experience. I love the hygienist Consuelo. And the front desk ladies are wonderful. They don’t have attitudes and are always willing to help whenever they can.

Gentle dental is a professional comforting environment for something that can be tense and very stressful for some people the staff has a very unique way of making you feel at ease. I would most certainly recommend gentle dental for all your dental needs.

Absolutely horrid people and service. Numbed the wrong side of my husbands mouth, and then didn’t even numb the fillings they ended up doing. gave him wrong fillings, didn’t do the work they said they’d do, and on top of that was working off of xrays from 2 years ago. He had to verbally correct them and he still got out with weird blue substance all over his teeth. They were refusing to help, hiding behind lies like “the manager just went in the back to take a call” after me waiting 15 minutes. They said it’s just be a second. I will never be back here. The assistant manager was talking to be like a kid and when I got visibly upset security kept interrupting. How am I not supposed to be upset when my family is getting detrimental service done. This isn’t something he can just grow out or fix at home. We will have to find a whole new dentist to not only undo these mistakes, but to get them refilled.Everyone should be away of these issues so they can ask the right questions and make sure their dentist knows what they’re doing. This was a horror story. Teeth are a part of our health and should not be handled so absentmindedly

The staff was professional kind and patient. Donnell was a superstar. My son even said he had fun when we left and he had to get an extraction😂. It was a pleasurable visit. Im a happy mom. The whole team there is awesome❤

Today was my first visit to a Gentle Dental since my last in 5 years ago. The customer service is wonderful. From the lady on the telephone scheduling my appointment, to the staff when I went in. Everyone was pleasant. However, the establishment could use A LOT of work on their time management. Meshia and Jackie were sweet, so I plan to return for my next visit, just in case the following was a fluke:I arrived at 1:46 pm.My appointment was at 2:00 pm.I received paperwork after about 30 minutes of sitting there, and this was only after I had gone up to ask when I should expect to be seen.It took about 30 minutes to be seen, and when the dentist came in to check on me, I had not even gotten my x-rays done.So he left...I waited 5-10 minutes for the x-ray and then had to wait some more for the dentist to return from working on another patient.Although twice I was informed that I would be seen shortly, another 20 minutes went by before the teeth cleaning began.Finally...my teeth were clean and done at 4:41 pm.I honestly felt like I was forgotten for most of the visit.I was exhausted and uncharacteristically responding to the staff in a deadpan manner by the time I walked out the door...no smiles.I believe its shameful when a business has no tolerance for people not keeping their appointments, but doesnt hold themselves to the same standard. Now, all of this being said, I understand it may have been hard to catch up once they fell behind. So I made sure to schedule my NEXT visit in the morning and am hoping they get it right next time, because the location is OH so convenient.

Everyone was very hilarious and courteous. I loved the atmosphere around the office. Shawnie, Egypt, and Dominique were the highlights of my experience. I thank everyone for there amazing professionalism.

Really a great place to have dental work done. I was very fearful to have extractions. Dr. Oliver was THE BEST!! I didn’t feel anything and no pain when numbness went away. I would recommend this place to everyone! They are welcoming to patients of all ages. They have the perfect name because they are indeed GENTLE
