I stopped in for the first time today to get my Gucci handbag repaired. She gave me so much education on leather. I’ve never received that even when purchasing them from the manufacturer. I will be bringing all my leather goods here! I highly recommend

They go above and beyond and know what theyre talking about when it comes to shoes. I wont take my shoes anywhere else from now on! One of the plastic heel pieces broke off these shoes and and they replaced it with rubber ones plus refreshed them with a cleaning and shine. Very fast turnaround time and very friendly service too.

Took my Giuseppe shoes and Gucci’s Belt for a shoe cleaning and belt leather repair. Shoes came back good but the belt is DYSFUNCTIONAL. Just took it back and was told they can’t do anything to help and recommended another business to fix the issue. Any and all remedies should come from your team, not a separate business seeing as the belt worked FINE before. Not pleased with my experience AT ALL. No refund was offered nor did they offer to pay for the separate service that was needed even though they caused the issue. This situation was handled VERY POORLY. Do better people!!!

Ronda Morrison is a master cobbler. She does outstanding work. I have bringing my footwear and boots to her for years because work is quality. I love spirit as well.

Extremely professional and superior expertise. I brought in a pair of Jaquemus shoes to be stretched and cleaned, and another pair of Givenchy shoes that needed some touching up. I have NEVER in my life experienced such unprofessional behavior from a business. One of the owner’s “Rhonda” not only is she LOUD but she is very hostile, argumentative and doesn’t allow customers to speak. I wouldn’t recommended this place for nothing more than a so shine!

They do phenomenal work at a reasonable price, often restoring articles to look like they are brand new. Ms Morrison was very knowledgeable about her craft offered solutions for my problem, my dog chewed a hole in my boot, suede outside/fleece like fabric on the inside. The repair is beautiful and work was timely. House of Morrison will be doing all my shoe repairs.

Hands down this is the best shoe repair shop in Detroit. They have repaired my favorite work shoes three times and allowed me to rock them for almost 20 years. I love the owner, she is knowledgeable, humble and a historical gem.

The women who run the place and answers the phone is much to pushy. She doesnt take the time to listen to customers and kept cutting me off in mid sentence and spoke to me as though I was some kind of a child. I didnt like her attitude over the phone and less in person. You guys seem to have more than one location and I went to the store she was working located on livernois near 7 mile. I will never go there AGAIN!!!

I brought in my brown boots that were very scuffed up. It took about 15 minutes for them to make them look brand new. I would even say better than brand new! I’ll be coming back here with all of my leather products!

This place was wonderful in terms of quality. However, customer service lacked and my most recent experience caused me to NEVER return or refer anyone else.In April I took a pair of burgundy boots from Aldo (my favs). Rhonda told me they may not be able to repair them. I had literally worn them out. I’m not sure if the repair was ever made or not. It was April when I took them, therefore I actually forgot until October when boot weather was back. When I went by to inquire I was told they threw them out because they called me ONCE in October and I never responded and of course they’d been there since April.I asked for Rhonda and her attitude about the situation really made me upset. It wasn’t that the boots were gone because I had no real expectation of them being salvaged. However, I tried explaining to Rhonda that I have an app on my phone that logs every single incoming call whether it goes straight to voicemail or not and that I had no voicemails or log of the call from them. Her response was “I don’t care. We called. It is what it is your boots are gone!”And just like that I was gone too. Forever!I may not find another black owned place with the same quality but what I won’t do is go out of my way (literally from Grosse Pointe area to Livernois) to be treated that way.

The customer service was very unprofessional over the phone & in person. The representative did not have the willingness to assist. I called before coming into the location regarding a heel repair, which the representative stated it could be done same day easy fix. Upon arrival I told the representative I didnt need same day service . Please assure me the shoes will ready on Saturday (2 days away). She then proceeded to quote a price starting at . I responded what would make the price change from prior quote. Her comment was I have been in business for over 40 years, I know what Im doing! Followed by: oh, Ill have to pass on this repair. No problem, took my business to Said Shoes in Ferndale, MI. They completed the heel repair on the spot less than 20 minutes & half the price of starting at quote from this company. Never again will I conduct business with this company!

Wow! I Googled Shoe Repair, House of Morrison showed up and I called, and explained that I was planning my wedding and needed several pair of shoes dyed! The lady on the phone was very attentive and asked details..are they leather or fabric?. I had to think a minute and explained that the bridesmaids were wearing a soft beige/pink fabric, and the grooms men were going to where chocolate brown and dark pink. They said as long as the shoes where of a lighter color the job could be done. The problem was I was in California and the wedding was going to be in Grosse Pointe, MI. Well needless to say that was ten years ago!!! They not only accepted the shoes through the mail, they explained that the ladies shoes had to be a dyeable fabric...PS...The men returned their shoes to have them returned to a conservative brown or black! We still send our fine leather goods to them to be reconditioned and cared for! They been around for fifty plus years and we look forward to their next fifty years. Thank You again, House of Morrison as I celebrate my 10th Wedding Anniversary!I look forward to seeing what they will do in the next 50 years,
