Great place. Great staff. Very clean. Very informative. Had a really good time. Was easy to check in and out. Had no issues with anything. Security was there to help us in the room as our key card were being made. Will definitely be planning to go back.
The hostess and our server were very friendly. Loved the atmosphere and beautiful views. We didnt have to wait long for anything, excellent food and service. Highly recommend !! :)
Its been a great stay so far! The only complaint is that a few of the guest services have been unavailable. The inside pool has been closed(would be nice to use on the rainy days like today) and the bar and grill is closed on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday. Other than that its been spot on!
Stayed at room 1515. It was really nice to not worry about housekeeping coming in everyday as it was a room that wasnt managed by the front office. Kitchen was a joy to cook breakfast and fresh caught seafood on and the upper balcony view, while not the best ever, was awesome and great for us to enjoy a wonderful sunset! The neighbor noise was mainly above us while the noise pollution from our right and left and below were unnoticeable. This facility doesnt have tie-ins with the other businesses at this location so no charging it to your room. It has a designated grill area, designated kids play area, designated smoking area, and easy access to beach through the pool area. Coffee for $5 isnt that great, but its advertised as local coffee shop Ill blame it on trying for experience. They have Dippin Dots on-site so that was awesome.Umbrellas are $20 / day from morning to 5pm and kinda worth it if you want to be close to the shore line and plan on doing all day beach time, its $40 for umbrella+2 chairs and keeps getting more expensive from there. Tents are allowed only behind the tent line, but they really dont like you bringing personal umbrellas as it ruins the visual flow. 😒Overall, wed definitely enjoyed our stay and would love to come again... but since we like trying new places every time... well see!
Love this place. Went there every year for vacation until we moved to Florida. It has always been clean. We always get great service from the front desk. Love the indoor and outdoor pool options. Has a hot tub and sauna inside the workout room area that we love. Has a restaurant that serves food and adult beverages as well as an outdoor tiki hut bar.
The lady before we checked in was kind of rude. Our condo was nice and clean. The other staff was nice. The gift shop had cheaper gifts than the stores, so worth it! The beach, pools, and splash pad were cleaned and looked nice. We enjoyed the daiquiri bar! However, we did not eat at the restaurant inside the resort.
Stayed in room 312 for 6 nights. Clean room and beautiful views. My family had to take two vehicles because there were to many people for one vehicle. They do not tell you that you can only park one car in the parking lot. Second car has to be parked across highway 98 in a sand lot behind chick fillet. This is a very busy four lane highway.I saw several vehicles that had to get help to get unstuck from the sand in that parking lot. Thankfully mine was a four wheel drive.. WE were departing on the last day before daylight and they would not make any exceptions to park our second vehicle in the parking lot the last night so I would not have to walk in the dark before daylight to pick up my vehicle. I payed peak season rates and they offered no transportation or assistance for this inconvenience There are a lot of condos at this price with better accommodations.
The staff at Sun Destin were very nice our entire stay. The facility was very clean. Our room 1105 however desperately needs an update. There was brown very old carpet in the bedroom which smelt very musty/not clean. The couches were stained and smelt very musty as well. The room was very clean and we had a nice ocean view. A major disappointment was we thought there was a washer/dryer in our unit. There was not. Not a big deal we didn’t mind using the unit available on our floor. However, when I needed to get change for a dollar to get quarters for the machines the change machine downstairs was all out of quarters and would not be restocked until the next day. That doesn’t help me out when I have a load of clothes washing in the washing machine. I go to the front desk and they do not have any change exchange. I go to the store inside the resort and the cashier refused to exchange cash for change even though I did purchase some items. Finally, the nice bartender at the restaurant was more than willing to give me change. I think the resort needs to have a back up plan for when their machine is out of quarters.
We stayed in 1604 and the view was amazing. We were high enough up that some mornings we could see dolphins. Room was nice with updated furniture. The two bathrooms and two couches was great to have, meant that our boys didn’t have to sleep on the same bed. Property was great and well kept. We booked our beach chairs three weeks out with La Dolche Vida so we had the front row on the beach. All in all it was an amazing trip!
We stayed in 0716 and it was pretty dumpy especially for the price we paid! The furniture was worn and the condo just wasn’t in very good shape. It also wasn’t all that clean. The tiki bar that is advertised is NEVER open. The most concerning thing is not allowing guests to bring an umbrella to the beach. This is dangerous. The company that sells umbrellas was sold out and couldn’t provide us with an umbrella so we spent over 2 hours in the hot sun. I was sunburned even with using sunscreen & my teenage daughter who had been making a sand castle on the beach with no shade actually vomited from being so over heated on our way back to the room. This is unacceptable. They say this is for our own safety but I have a feeling it is more likely due to the amount of money they are making off selling umbrellas and not allowing you to bring your own. It’s not right. I won’t be back. I only gave 2 stars because the little store in the lobby was great and the staff in the store is very friendly.
The kitchen was disappointing. Bare minimum for cooking. If youre bringing a family its not ideal. The balcony furniture was rusting on the back and the seats..not great for wet swimsuits...ruined one of my swimsuits. The iron was old and looked dangerous to use so I didnt try. I was unaware of the way the beach is ran...umbrellas and chairs have to be rented and there are limits to where you can be on the beach if you dont rent their equipment. The water is beautiful as was the view however, thats a given..and has nothing to do with subpar conditions in this unit..the furniture inside the condo was stained and smelled. There was mold on the ceiling in the bedroom. (We rented a one bedroom unit.) We will not be returning to this property.
Needs some renovations. I would recommend not having carpet because ours felt grimy so we all wore house shoes inside. Offers great view and everyone was very nice! Will stay another time again.
We had a great experience! Our room had a kitchen, living room with TV, bedroom with one bed and a TV, and lastly 2 connecting bathrooms/restrooms. Along with that our room had a balcony view of the ocean and beach. There is also a indoor and outdoor swimming pool on the 1st floor, along with a direct connection to the beach. SunDestin is truly amazing!
The beach is amazing, except for the brain dead umbrella boys who seem to have no interest in customer service whatsoever. This property would be enhanced dramatically if it contracted with a beach service company that offers quality customer service. La Dolce Vita either does not know how poorly their employees are treating guests on the beach or they simply don’t care. Otherwise, the property is about what you’d expect for the price.
One star only on the Sun Destin in general and unit #1212. Would not give one star if I didn’t have to. First of all, condo was unacceptable for rental. Furniture is filthy and in terrible condition. All the beds are super uncomfortable and well beyond their useful life. The floors were filthy. All of this fades in comparison to the major disgusting roach infestation, and by that we have pictures and videos of dozens of roaches all over the condo. On the first day we saw several including on the wall and on the floor. We complained on the first day and they sent someone to spray on the second day and told us to give it 24 hours. 24 hours later we found the source with dozens of them above the sofa and dining room table and immediately checked out at 11PM. It’s hard to imagine that this unit was rented to a family to stay in and will be rented again without remediation.
Everything about this place is awesome. The bluest water and the whitest sand. The condo was well stocked and the owner is THE BEST!
Horrible place! The Best part was Pam at the front desk...she was very kind and helpful! We stayed in unit 1117 for 1 night (originally booked for 4 nights), we slept on top the bedding, both of us woke up with a headache, congestion, sneezing, coughing, sore throat, watery eyes...thats when we noticed BLACK MOLD on all the vents! I called down to the front desk as soon as we noticed the mold to get a refund and we left immediately. We tried to contact the host by email and phone, but could not get ahold of anyone with Scenic Stays about all of the issues. We were completely disgusted as soon as we walked in. The floor was very worn and had black marks everywhere from moisture, especially by the front door. The couch and chair were stained and filthy so we covered them with sheets so we could sit down. The dining room chairs had stains all over them. The microwave was dirty on the inside and outside. The walls had holes, damage, drip lines, splash marks. The shower doors were covered in soap scum. Speakers were barely hanging on the wall. The list goes on and on.
All was very good except here are my complaints: Its a terrible resort if you have a beach cart because the elevators are too small for the cart, there is no ramp to the beach and there are a LOT of curves again making it hard for beach carts; It is about $200 more a night than competitors and it is not worth it. Had 10 requests from the front desk during my trip(can we have an extra room key, can we have a late check out, do you know when the jacuzzi will reopen from repairs being done, do you have any extra carts, can someone help us with luggage, etc) 8 out of the 10 requests were a no OR had an extra fee attached. Also if you lost your room key, there was a $10 fee. Ridiculous. You also got only 2 room keys. Need more, its another $10. Lastly they only gave you 1 parking pass for their main parking lot. If you have more cars, you had to park across a very busy highway in their secondary parking lot. Hope this helps in your decision making.
The condo is not beachfront. If you sit on the balcony you stare at another Condo building. The unit was not cleaned as the previous people must have broken a wine glass and there were still three pieces of broken glass on the floor. The toilet was also dirty. The best thing about the unit was the bed was very comfortable. We would not stay here or recommend this place to anyone.
SunDestin: Fudpuckers Grill Review:I feel bad for leaving a poor review, but I only hope to save people time on their vacation.Poor quality food & Over priced. Our server was on another planet.No. The grill was not busy when we came by.Slow, forgetful, cold food....I had to ask for utensils to eat for others in my party and then again for myself the poor man does not fit the bill for a server. My food came out last after my party was done eating, so I asked for a box.We didnt expect the best service but we did expect better considering our 10 hr drive we past many food options.* On the other hand the bartender deserves 5 stars. She was quick gave fast service to everyone she came in contact with.I recieved my drink order in 3 seconds after ordering it. I am thankful she was there to make up the service we experience.I feel bad she gave so much help to her co-worker. She deserves good tips at the bar people.ONLY go here for the bar service.
The condo was Convenient, great location with everything within proximity. But To relax on the beach you feel pressured to rent the vendors chairs and tent when we have our own. It was so overwhelming with the amount of chairs out. we got out there early enough to put out or own blankets and chairs and were quickly swamped with the vendors things which made it hard to keep an eye out for our kids and enjoy the view.
Sun Destin is a slice of paradise. It exceeded my families expectations plus some! Highly recommended to anyone who loves the beach.
This place is beautiful! We have a great view of the ocean. Our condo was very nice.
This place...Guys we had such a good stay are rooms are absolutely BEAUTIFUL and just the right size for who we are staying with we have such an amazing view on our patio!!!! There are pools and the ocean and a bar for drinks splash pad!!! So so super fun!!! my stay is great I don’t know how I could even make it better!!THANK YOU SO MUCH #sundestin
Came here with my family, and overall we had a really great time here. Theres a bar on the first floor, an indoor and outdoor pool, and even a little splash zone for the smaller kids to enjoy. The view of the beach is even better when waking up to the view.
Fun, fun, fun!! Perfect get away! I will be remembering this vacation for a long time! (And wishing I was still there!)
My favorite place to stay. We have been coming here for years. It has so much to offer and the staff here are great!
Nice place with a full kitchen but they dont change your towels. Front desk said you are responsible to wash them with the paid washer and dryer. Just a little expensive.
Unit 716 was a complete dump. We kept getting interrupted by buyer showings. We even overheard several buyers comment that Unit 716 was way overpriced for sale based on the obstructed view and condition of the Unit. Good luck to the Owner selling this Unit.
We stayed in Sundestin for 6 days .Our room was clean and nice . It was looking the same as we saw in the pictures online, before we booked .2 Stars because, our fridge was broken down in the middle of our staying, but they did replace it, but anyways …The hot tube outside stoped working on the 3 td day and they did not fix it .At the night time it’s hard to sleep, since you can hear your neighbors walking and using their bath..
Staff has been very helpful and the property is very clean. Gift shop is nice and convenient. The main downside for this property is the domineering beach vendors. They dont seem to abide by the 20 waterline rule, and have no problem telling you where to stick your personal umbrella. I get it, they pay for the rights to rent their service, but they make being at the beach almost inconvenient. Havent had this problem before at Jetty East.
Wonderful place to lodge. On the beach & gift shop/market on 1st level. Beer, ice cream, sandals just about anything you want w/o leaving the property. A new restaurant opens in a few days & it comes well recommended. This too is on the entry level. Great Gulf of Mexico views. Sunset off my balcony yesterday. Fun here & the best location to get around the area. Come see us !
Little expensive with taxes and fees, but our room was great. 6th floor oceanfront with balcony. Very roomy 2 bedroom, 2 full baths, livingroom, full kitchen with eating area. Clean resort and beach. 2 beach chairs and umbrella was $40 a day.Would go back? YES I WOULD
We have been coming here for several years. It’s not been terrible but not great. Last year when we got to our room it stunk so bad like rotten seafood. We had to go down to the desk to ask for Clorox wipes to wipe out the yellow stinky liquid from the refrigerator. Also had to buy fabreez for the smell. At about 7 pm we started trying to get showers only to realize there was no hot water. It took maintenance until almost 11pm to come and figure out the hot water heater needed a part they couldn’t get till morning. Fast forward to this year...room 805, has 1 couch no other comfortable chairs in the room. Bathroom door handle came off in your hand when you pull to open the door, one of the only rooms without a modem for internet (you just have to piggyback off another room per front desk) AND the room sleeps 6 but of all the beds there was 1 JUST ONE! Blanket. Sheets yes but ONE BLANKET. Front desk said they couldn’t help us that we had to call the people managing the room now Vacasa. So the first night everyone froze for the most part. Vacasa did bring blankets the next day.The ONLY reason we came nails that SunDestin allows you to book for 3 nights Instead of having to book the whole week. This is our last visit
We booked directly from their website and we got EXACTLY what we paid for. The condo was BEAUTIFUL and our view was breathtaking. We will definitely be back.
I’m not sure where all the good reviews are coming from. This place is an absolute hell. Super crowded, outdated and not clean. The unit that we stayed in is 210 and the property management that advertises this unit misleads people with nice pictures that don’t show the true depiction of the unit. The unit was not clean on arrival. The vie that was on the pictures not anywhere near what we got. The beach is packed with people like sardines. This place is very overpriced for what you get.
A great central location and employees work hard. Room could have been cleaned better and the kitchen knives were dull, I mean really dull. Beach attendant is a real hustler.
Our group stays at the sandestin resort every Memorial Day weekend. The rooms are always clean. Check-in is quick and easy. Has several smaller bars and indoor pool and the beach is about 50 paces from the door.
Easy access to the beach & a great view but the rooms definitely need some updates & they need to be cleaned more thoroughly.
Our condo was 2 bed/2bath and recently renovated and very nice inside. It was off season so not many amenities were open but a lot of restaurants nearby are open so that was nice. We just came to enjoy the beach, fly a kite and relax and this place certainly fit the bill. But there are a lot of rules in the summer so make sure you check it out thoroughly before booking.
Need comfortable mattress and furnise toilet paper and trash bags.
This place is very nice and amazing customer service and the pool and beach is gorgeous and the rooms are awesome
Great location, nice huge rooms right by the beach with an excellent view. Plenty of space and a kitchen area that seemed well stocked. Bring extra towels and tp, they dont provide much. The shower didnt get hot, just lukewarm and the bed was very firm. There was a well stocked and reasonably priced shop in the lobby. Overall, nitpicking aside, it was great and Id stay here again.
Our first impression was wonderful - clean room, pools & lobby, as expected for the price paid. THEN reality hit a few hours later. Our washer was tore up which was a major burden for my family because we packed light, hence why we booked 4 months in advance because we relied solely on the washer. I understand things happen but from a business standpoint and the hassle our family endured was what made the situation very frustrating. The first day we stayed in the room waiting on maintenance but they did not show so we spent the next day waiting also. They told us they needed to bring other people so we waited again because we don’t feel comfortable leaving our stuff alone because the night before our beach chair were stolen. The maintenance personal told us it would not be fixed during our stay and that he would get us coins. We never received coins so everyday I had to get money out and coins. Doesn’t seem like a burden until you actually have to experience the hassle multiple times a day but the worst part is I had to send multiple emails to receive a reimbursement for the money we spent on laundry. Instead of my spending time with my family I had to also wait on the washer to be finished. They refunded us $125 when we spent 5,000 to stay for the week. From a business aspect that is unacceptable, especially for a family that wanted to make this a tradition at Destin. We later found out that was common for the other families staying, too. We did notice signs saying “hiring maintenance” so I’m sure the issues are from being sort staffed but that’s zero excuse for having so many issues and refunding $125 for a 5,000 stay. With that being said, if you’re intrigued by good customer service I do not recommend SunDestin. Our new beach chairs were stolen from our door that was sitting next to our beach bags/items … my husband found the chairs sitting on a random balcony the next evening so he knocked on the door and got our chairs back. He said the room was full of Marijuana and they made the rest of our stay unpleasant as well. I felt very unsafe with my children being there.During our week stay the entire room was evacuated for a fire alarm at midnight (keep in mind I have small children) & the next day another fire incident happen because they fire trucks came again. With ‘kids’ I also decided on SunDestin for the child friendly environment- while my kids were playing at the splash pad, the bar was blasting ‘WAP’ in-front of kids and the entire hotel. All the parents were beyond frustrated!I have never left a bad review before but these are things I’d want to know. I was informed by other residents the same thing. The beach was beautiful and we feel in love with Destin! Just hoping to find the right hotel for our family.
This place has gone so far downhill in the past years. The room we are staying in was $1650 for 5 days. We were placed in the second floor right above the indoor pool. We were left with a hideous view of the nasty roof and we cannot see the ocean. We paid full price for the ocean view. Also, the room is very small and outdated. The beds are uncomfortable and the pillows are pathetic. We don’t watch TV on vacation but the TV is tiny. We were not given a better room and we had to stay in that small room with the disgusting view. Another thing, a lot of the appliances were unplugged and almost all of the plug in’s fall out so good luck charging your phone. We will never stay here again. Room 207 should not be rented to the public unless it’s at least half of the price.
Great views and the room that we got was very spacious. The pool and hot tub where nice too!
Honestly it was very rundown. Our condo had so much chipped paint it was ridiculous. There was mold on the ceiling in the bathrooms and the dresser in the master bedroom had drawers that would fall out if you tried to open them. We will not be going back to SunDestin again. We actually left a day early. We would rather lose some money then stay and be disappointed.
The staff here was rude and had terrible attitudes. The beach was nasty with garage cigarettes and debree and fishing hooks. The umbrella and chair rental was so expensive and they would snatch it up before time to leave. The pool was overcrowded with people drinking and throwing volleyballs and jumping over my childs head. The security was only there to write tickets. There were no carts to check out and when asked was told if we were desperate go look on each floor. The lifeguard was always on her phone or braiding her hair while a little boy almost drown with his mom. (I pulled them to safety) or she was sitting with some guy in a beach truck talking..for 2200 dollars i was expected to be at least treated with respect.. I will never reture to this place EVER WITH MY FAMILY...Catelynn from the FUDPUCKERS RESTAURANT WAS THE ONLY GOOD QUALITY here period.
What an amazing place. Great pools and hot tubs with an ocean view. Price is a bit high but you get what you pay for
We enjoyed our stay, the resort was wonderful the only things would be would of loved to have own laundry in the condo and the check in time .But we had a great time and will be back again.
Beautiful place. Very clean, and the staff very nice and helpful.
No ramp access to beach. although this is inconvenient for everyone with a cooler and beach wagon, it’s EXTREMELY inconvenient for the young lady in a wheelchair that had 5 of us help her down to the beachand side note- if anyone thinks this place includes breakfast or cleans the room daily, they don’t
The room was really nice (condo), but all the extra fees made it a bit over priced. The bar and restaurant are currently closed, which we were not informed of when the booking was made. Indoor heated pool, outdoor pool, and hot tub were very well maintained, they were routinely taking water samples from each one. The kids splash pad was not operating. The onsite staff was very courteous.
Location was great! Customer service was great! Indoor and outdoor pools along with hot tub was good. Some of the bathroom fixtures and bottom of cabinets needed attention. Overall a very good experience!
Room was laid out where you had more room in the bedroom than the living room kitchen area, and there was no exhaust fans In any of the bathrooms but there was a switch for it and commode leaked, and the remote controls to the tv were missing or didnt work, and the tubs in all 3 bathtubs wouldnt work and the main ones is there is absolutely no parking bc of the places taken by non guest and the elevators are so hot and the elevator waiting areas on all floors except the main one and the indoor pool and hot tubs and outdoor pool and splash pad, and the tiki bar all close at 10pm every day of the week.
Wish we could of stayed longer. Lots of things to do and explore.
They will not give you a room early (before 4p.m.) under any circumstances. No matter how tired you are from driving 12 hours, with no sleep, and a one year old. Waited 6 hours in the parking lot too tired to enjoy any activities while we waited. Sad.
It was horrible bed was hard couches were hard. One of the dressers was broke. Bed leg was broke. Water leaked out of the hot water heater and thru the ceiling. So I dont recommend no one to go here.
We rented room 811 for about $350 a night june 17 2021 to june 19 2021.Day 1: June 17th...The pros and mehs of this place. They got a fudpuckers restaurant and bar. The staff are nice. There was an incident with the bed sheets but I was able to come down and get a new set. No fuss from them at all. I mean they wouldnt bring them up, but whatever. I dgaf about that. They have this gift shop. Not a bad little nook. Most things are trinkets sunglasses. Typically what you would see at a gift shop. They even sell beer wine and alcohol seltzer. A bit over priced...but if you think you are gonna walk into a resort gift shop and buy booze at non premium price, then you are simply high or insane. They sell ice which I thought was nice since if you are having a party the ice maker is either not turned on or doesnt put out enough ice for your guests. The room we stayed at was not bad. Typical mirror to make the room look bigger. Decent flat screen and they didnt lock up the tv to keep you from adding an external device. I was able to plug my roku stick right into it. That alone buys a star when you got kids that need to settle down watching Disney plus or whatever.A few tiles are broken, not a big deal. Fridge and freezer both work. Microwave is a little dirty. All these things add up to the meh status, but not really deal breakers. So the pros out weigh the mehs when it comes to basic functionality. There is even a dishwasher! All that buys a second star.ConsFree Wi-Fi. Granted the speed is decent. But it goes down alot. They need to restructure their zoning and channels...but this isnt the problem I had. If you are on their wifi, you browsing the web on your phone (didnt try computer yet) google maps etc...youre gonna get a bunch of ads pushed to your phone. I got an add for wordpress. Wordpress! Google it and youll know it has nothing to do with the site I was on. I google map looked up that cat5 milkshake burger joint at the strip mall. I couldnt even see the menu because of all the adds and demands that I sign up for wordpress. At first I thought maybe it was my phone. I disconnected from their wifi and all the extra adds disappeared. Reconnected and they came right back. So they are making money on the side by pushing ads to your phone. DO NOT GET ON THEIR WIFI WITHOUT A VPN SERVICE ON YOUR PHONE!There are plenty of free VPNs you can download like opera or whatever. So that was a major fail for me.Second major failThe ice maker in the freezer. It was on but no ice. I messed with it, but no water was going to it. I mean completely disabled. I asked other guests and confirmed theirs was broken too. I could pull it out and reenable it I guess, but god knows what I would find. That is why they sell ice in the gift shop at premium price. Worse yet, their ice bag freezer isnt that cold so it was starting to melt. That means you put it in the freezer the whole thing becomes a giant stuck together block of ice.The chairs recline which was great and it was gonna buy them a third star until I sat on the couch. If you wanna know what it feels like to sit on a lumpy piece of granite stone, this is a great way to experience that.It is only day one, maybe I will find some extra perks to up the score for them, but in my book? You aint getting what you paid for.
The only good thing about staying here was being able to walk right on to the beach and the view that’s it. No COVID-19 precautions taken, staff don’t wear mask, rooms didn’t have hand soap to wash your hands. Room lacked several basic supplies. Sauna and indoor jacuzzi were nice
Beautiful condos. Pools were small. Beach access is great.
Accomodations were okay. Room was a nice size and had a great view. Great access to the beach. Indoor pool is small and looks dirty. Property does not require masks so lobby is overrun by Covid deniers who wont wear masks or social distance. I couldnt wait to leave.
Had a great time here. Lovely place, nice atmosphere, great staff everything well maintained and clean. Will come back again!
We were on the 18th floor and it was beautiful. Everyone was nice. Only downside was the bar downstairs was closed because it didnt make it through Covid.
The unit we rented was a little dated and did not have laundry in suite. They had coin laundry at the facility, however we chose not too use it. Indoor pool and hot tub were both open during our January visit which was nice. Elevators were fast and we never had to wait though that is likely a case of it being the off season. Overall it wasnt the best place weve stayed but was far from the worst.
Worst experience i have ever have! I would never go back there, I can’t believe they have a air conditioning unit in bedroom and it’s loud, customer service is very bad, this place is not worth the price.
This place was great. Our condo was great and had amazing views. The beach access was great! We will be back!
Gorgeous property that is right on the beach.
Their beach was jam packed with beach chairs and umbrellas. Literally every 2 ft apart. And there were 2 ROWS of chairs. So if you dont rent their chairs ($40 a day for 2 chairs) all you can see is again, CHAIRS! I didnt pay all these 9 % Destination fee, US$ 8.78 Tourism fee per night, 18 % Property service charge, US$ 12.54 Resort fee per night just so i cannot even see the beach if i dont spend extra money! I HATE places that try their best to rip you of like this. They can save the best spot to make money on renting out chairs but to jam pack them from side to side is unacceptable. I will never be back.
We did not have any maid service to offer to clean our rooms or bring fresh linens. The condo was pretty nice however our refrigerator didnt work properly and we werent ask to move to another condo.
Great place to stay friendly people
Entrance and rooms are very nice. Love that our room was fills with mirrors on every wall. Felt like a sexy 70s vibe. Only downfall was the inside pool is under construction and that was the main reason we chose this hotel because the weather wasnt the greatest due to a hurricane just hitting Florida the day prior to our arrival. On the website it didnt say anything about the pool being out of order.
Place needs updates. The counter in our room was broken and very sharp. Also needed more wash rags as they only left us 6 wash rags and they CHARGE for additional towels/wash rags or you have to wash them (on vacation sorry but I dont want to do any adulting while on vaction) OH AND THERES A FEE TO WASH/DRY so either way your out additional money. Coffee was horrible. .Servious was horrible lady behind the desk was rude and seemed bothered by us. Dont know that we will stay here again. However the only good thing out of the entire stay was the view.
The hotel is pretty good, but their beach policy is something else. If you dont rent chairs and umbrella for $40 per day they will ask you to go away from the beach, because you cant use umbrella here. That is called extortion. So, be ready to add $20-$40 per day to your budget.I would give them 4 stars, but it doesnt look like they are going to pay any attention to that issue
Had a blast. Lots of amenities.
Beeg hotels make for a fun stay
The only good thing about this hotel was the location. Our room door lock did not work for the entire stay there. The hotel staff only apologized for the inconvenience. We didnt have much choice in hotels as it was a last minute vacation.
Awesome place to stay. Beach side and very easy direct access to the beach. Beach area was large and enough room to handle the crowd. Beach was also very clean. Be warned, do not purchase your own umbrella for this Beach. The umbrella patrol will swarm over to you and shut you down, politely. Something about a rogue umbrella, years before, flying free in the breeze and impailing another guest so you can no longer use your umbrella, but feel free to reserve a chair and umbrella set from them for only $40 a day. They do have an awesome coffee/gift shop. The rooms (ours anyway) are roomy with a half bath set up thats kind of attached yet separate from the main bath. Makes it much easier to get ready to go out than everyone sharing one bathroom. The amenities did advertise washer and dryer, and they arent lying. They just left out the part where its one washer and dryer for the whole floor to share, and its $2 per wash and $2 per dry, quarters only. And even though we had plenty of cups, plates, spoons, etc., there was no seasonings there, such as salt, or pepper, or pam...so if you plan to cook (there is a Walmart very close by for groceries) you will have to purchase seasonings. Out side of this, the fam and I were quite pleased with our stay here.
Very good and nice beach 🏖️ in America and Florida city also most beautiful like flowers 🌹 in a life time 💐 once visit their places most beautiful place
Ive been coming to sundestin for the past 6 years and this will be my last time. My room was muggy, dirty and smells awful.
Stayed here on vacation right when Hurricane Sally was making landfall, so obviously cant speak to everything the place has to offer because a lot of amenities were shut down because of the storm. The room I stayed in had some minor issues but overall was nice and was well-kept. The indoor pool was our only option while the storm was coming in and was clean and accommodating even though it wasnt heated. Check-in and check-out was a breeze and the staff was very friendly; even extended my stay an extra night so I could have at least one day on the beach and didnt have any issues with the booking. The in-house bar and grill was closed during my entire stay unfortunately but Im sure this was only due to the hurricane.
We took our 4 and 2 year olds on a family vacation and stayed at Sundestin. Our kids were so excited to play- we sat near the water where our kids could play in the sand. The manager of the resort asked us to move because we were sitting between EMPTY chairs and said paying customers for the chairs/umbrellas get priority (which covered the entire stretch of the beach that Sundestin owner and went back 20 ft from the beach) We could either sit in the water or behind all of the chairs and was not willing to work with us, despite the beach and chairs being empty. He ended up giving us our money back and we left the resort, best decision ever! Plenty of other places on the beach to stay that have tons of rooms for families to sit and play in front of the rented chairs & umbrellas!
I stayed in room 607. There was some type of insects in the bed. The night manager was very rude and basically told me to sleep with the insects. I told her I was checking out thy gave me a hard time about receiving something in writing stating that I had checked out
A bit of an older condo, but still a great place to stay. Some rooms have been remodeled and are exquisite while others are pretty drab. Overall has everything you could want in a condo.
Gorgeous view. We were high and we saw dolphins everyday
Very enjoyable and nice.
Beautiful beach. Nice amenities.
My husband and I stayed here for a few days while working in Destin. Our room had so much space, it was very clean, comfortable and super friendly staff! Great location, great pools, beautiful beaches. Highly recommend for your Destin vaca, work trip and any other reason that brings you to Destin!
Very prompt courteous service. Nice view from condo of Gulf. Convenient location.
Pros: Great views of the Gulf. Beautiful beach area. Suite was mostly in good condition. Staff was very friendly.Cons: No washer/dryer in unit even though advertisement said every unit has one. No warning about extremely noisy construction in nearby unit and air conditioning unit was extremely loud, making it difficult to sleep.Wed come back, but wed ask more questions about the specific unit wed be staying in before booking.
Beautiful property. Great amenities and love the ladies in the coffee/ gift shop!!
First time staying here. Will be back.
