Must visit place! Some neat gifts to take home. Ate frozen custard w grand daughter....so special! Shes 1... Had her own spoon...so sticky. But such a great first with that baby!

The Barataria was an excellent place for our family to have our mini vacation. Captain Mark and Melody provided exceptional customer service during our booking and through out our stay. They definitely take pride in their work and it shows! The cleanliness of the condo was amazing! The beds, pillows and blankets were all comfortable and clean. The view was absolutely fantastic. We could watch our 2 oldest playing in the pool, which was also sparkling clean and easy to access, as we sat on the balcony watching the sunset over the jetties. We did not have to drive anywhere during our stay. We walked down the harbor several times and enjoyed great entertainment for all of our children. Also the reserved parking for each room makes life a lot easier rather than trying to fight for a good spot near your condo! Do not let the simplicity of the entrance to the building fool you. It is well worth the money anytime of the year! Thank you both for a wonderful stay! We will be back soon!

Great place to stay. Well appointed condos overlooking harbor. Conveniently located. Easy walk to Boardwalk where all the action is. Wonderful people to do business with, very helpful. One of my favorite vacation destinations.

Live, work, play -- Barataria Condos has it all. I love to just sit & watch the fishing boats & pontoonsmove so effortlessly thru the Harbor.The sunrises & sunsets are beautiful!Capt Mark & Mel answer all my questions about the area & are so helpful in many ways.Try it, youll like it !

Location. Location. Location. The Barataria is prime Harbor front property in the heart of Destin! Great shopping, fabulous restaurants and lively night life is only steps away. Check out unit 301! It’s huge! One of the largest rental properties on the Harbor. It’s gated, clean and comfortable. Love staying there when we come to town.

This place is as close to Paradise as you could ever want to be the people here are amazing the condos are absolutely fabulous with the most breathtaking views anywhere in North America as far as I’m concerned Capt Mark is very professional very hospitable and miss melody is the best Quite possibly the best time I’ve ever had in my life began here I highly recommend this Wonderful Pl., Capt and Rob

Lovely view great place to stay close to all you could want out of a vacation

Absolutely, our most favorite place to stay in Destin, FL. Our family has been staying at the Barataria since 1999 (family has been going to Destin forever). We definitely stay a week in the summer and some days for the Seafood Festival - and, thats just the norm. If we get a chance to go again - it is a call to Capt. Mark. Barataria is so convenient to everything. Park your car and enjoy your week. Beautifully decorated condos, secure, pool to relax in, rent a party barge or jet skis and head out to Crab Island, deep sea fishing, activity on the harbor including wonderful walks and places to eat (if you dont want to eat at the condo) - its all there. Highly recommend talking to Capt Mark about your next stay in beautiful Destin!

DO NOT STAY HERE. They steal WiFi from a nearby restaurant and they want you to do the same. Also I was supposed to check in at 1 but the room was not ready until 2:15. This was a terrible experience.
