This is the most disorganized place ever. No signs to show buildings. The person checking in isnt even in the state. Had no idea the layout or how to get to the building I was assigned. After rolling around for about 5 minutes with no luck I had to flag down a yard dog. I would have never have found it with out him. It was tucked away around two corners with no signs. I then sat there for 6 hours waiting to be unloaded. Plus there is so much construction on that road I picked up a bolt and had a flat tire. Definitely not a good day.

Used to have parking not anymore. Guess they cant be bothered by sleeping truckers anymore. Guard shack is rude as always delivery times are always different get ready to spend 2 to 8hrs here. When will these dc places realize without truckers there will not be any dcs no stores no food no jobs. Blah blah blah. Will it ever change? No!

A huge mess...very big facility...no marking or direction where to go, no marking on buildings, useless security gate for instruction, but after 40 minutes when you find the place where you are supposed to be...pleasent people, and relative fast loading...

Unload fast. Sat for 5 hours for paperwork, there is no room because everyone is waiting for paperwork. Some one hit my trailer, dude there is no rush here bring 2 meals at least and dont plan your next pickup til afternoon.

Receivers (No Lumpers people). Safeway employees purposely delayed the process to release BOL to driver make the way to the new Robotic Era due to the chain reaction on truck delays departure etc!!!!!!!

DRIVERS BEWARE This place will keep you in the door 5 hours or longer. Check in process was on.phone. lady was polite and professional. App time 0930. Docked 1030. Done 1515hrs. Lumpers are sloppy at unloading. Will destroy the pallets with equip leaving you a mess to clean up. Will.cause you to miss your next appt time. Albertsons / Safeway needs to get a handle on their lumpers. Ive been doing this job for a long time. This is in the top ten worse receivers Ive encountered. I will not return.

Security front desk is very rude, there are no directions for the trucks to follow for parking. Need to call for check in (on hold for 45 mins). Need to call to pay Lumper, but lumpers were very nice and quick (on hold for 2 mins). Unloaded after 3 hrs. (They count the produce).

6.30 AM APP, CHECKED IN AT 6 AM, DOOR AT 8.30 AM, AT 4 PM NOT EMPTY YET ! LUMPER COMPANY LAZY AND RUDE! DONT WASTE YOUR TIME HERE UNLESS YOU ARE DUE FOR 34 HOUR RESET !!!!

The construction makes coming into here a treat. However, 3am appointment, in a dock by 3:45am, unloaded by 4:10 and paperwork in hand by 5am. Lumper fee was around $200 or so for a full trailer. All in all, 4/5 stars because I rolled in wanting a longer nap. 😂

This for 2 week age......Today am here for delivery appointment 3.00 am. Drivers arrived on time. No body arrived in checkin office. If they cannot awake up early dont do appointments in early morning .......................................................Today. 3.00 am, Nov 18, 2019 driver wating outside for checking in cold weather. Checkin staff had room heater. But driver stay in cold. What is recivers responsibility about drivers helth.. Cold wind and low temperature on spot..

If ur coming here to deliver make sure you dont have a load to pick up after, or at least make sure theyre flexible for ur pick up time. Theyll get you unloaded fairly quick bit then you sit and wait for hours after paying the astronomical lumper fee. Mine was $165 for 16 pallets of pie crust that weighed 20,000 lbs. I asked if any of the pallets tipped over and thats why the lumper fee was so much and they so no, thats just the rate. Ill NEVER come back here.

They have 10-12 trucks parking right next to gaurd shack but opens at 3am, Park there and call the number which hangs on the fence for checkin. The will give you door. When they give you door listen carefully because they have door 12 and c 12 and p c12 & p12. One old guy was calling for the door was so rude and does not speak english. Got unloaded in 4 hours. They took my 2 load locks. I had to call them and wait there to get them back

This place fast to live unload you but you waste your clock on them learning how to count what you brought in. Ive been unloaded for over an hour and still waiting for my paper work..Iv e been waiting for my paper work for ov e 2 hours now and Im still waiting.. Do not come to this place unless your tired and want to catch up on your sleep.. No lie

Left a complete labeled pallet on my truck...tried to deny it saying their guys dont make mistakes. Had to reluctantly accept it the next morning. Only upstanding thing UChain did was the supervisor that said they dont make mistakes called me and apologized for the load I lost as a result and his snap response about not making mistakes...didnt offer to pay me for the load I lost....but hey I got an apology.

My appointment date was set for the 29th @ 0600. Come to find out, they would have taken me a day earlier. I know for next time.My experience here @ Safeway Distribution was totally different than the other reviewers. If you can make it sooner then your schedule delivery date/time then be here!UpdateMy appointment wasnt for 5am I checked in at 3am was given a door immediately. I was in and out within 1.5hrs being my 2nd time here my experience here wasnt like everyone else. Wish you all good luck and same experience I had.Still give em 5 🌟

Was given door 129 with a clown who cant follow the yellow line. And concrete yellow poles on the other side. Couldnt open my left side trailer door. Couldnt pull forward to open the door and back in cause the clown next door over cant follow the line. Open door would have hit his mirror. Long story short got into a heated debate with the jackass (who also seemed high as a kite),who we give paperwork to unload. Dude if you hate your job that much. You should find something else to do or you need to get laided.

Major I-70 construction. EB take Colorado exit go straight across to get back on I-70. Keep right at on ramp. This will take you to Safeway entrance. Don’t miss turn to truck parking or you’ll have a 30 minute drive to get back to entrance. This route will likely change so don’t shoot the messenger 😉.Unload was quick

Watch out for this place. They dont care about drivers and their next load. I promise you that youll be waiting here for awhile to get paperwork.

Arrived and checked in at 6am for a 7:30am appointment, got a door at 6:30am was empty and leaving the DC at 8:10am. Easy check in process pay lumper over the phone, they bring your bills out to you and that’s it. 👍🏽

Wish to get done with the construction around that place I wish theyd get rid of the lump and service and be a little bit faster off loading but otherwise really cant complain typical DC

Poor unloading service. Do not ship loads into this facility expecting to PU another load same day. Staged 2+ hrs, unload 2+ hours ...............still waiting. Completely unacceptable. Watch the brokers they will still try to cover these loads. Safeway will not change until they cannot get capacity due to their poor performance. Safeway used to charge $500 for late appointments without notice. Carriers should be able to charge $500 for anything over 3 hours to unload a truck. If this is truly on the Lumper service then Safeway should replace them in order to keep their spot capacity. We will not deliver here in the future.

Waited to get unloaded for 7 hours,,, extremely rude people on the contact less system who need anger management classes and lessons in proper phone etiquette.

Everything you hear is true only toke the load to go home figured wouldnt be 6 hours but here I am. Checked in 645 for a 745 am delivery 6 hours later still no paperwork so Ill never be back.

I helped deliver a load from CA. A mixed load of mostly produce. Check in lady was nice for an early Sunday. Kudos to her.

Highly unethical in how they conduct their unloading process. We will never be going back, you cannot hold a driver and an asset in your lot for 5-6 hours and call yourself professional. That is not normal by any means.

I would not recommend delivering to this facility, very slow and very rude to drivers, I arrived for my appointment and a hour after I got my dock assignment and I asked where the dock was and I got “oh my god” with attitude so steer clear.

Every1 else around me in and out I was there from 02:54 -09:46.....although when I finally bumped a dock offloaded in less than an hourLumper:175FYI pass the guard shack and make the next right before the traffic light!!!!Make sure you call ahead and confirm your paperwork

Uhhh Ive been on hold to check in on their contact less phone system for 23 minutes so far?

Check in was easy and I loved it but the mess with trucks trying to get around each other in a small space to back into and out of docks and then having to wait an additional 3 hours after done unloading to get paperwork back was unnerving since you still have to wait in that small space where everyone is trying to get in and out if docks.

If your not going to let drivers in the building put a bathroom outside please

No reason trucks have to wait 6 or more hours to be unloaded and given our paperwork to leave. We wont take another load to them. Their produce can sit in Cali.

Got here at 0630 my appointment wasnt till 9am they got me right in got me unloaded.. lumper fee was a little pricey but her companys paying for it so no worries.. all in all a good experience here. People were nice and professional

A little tricky to find just remember to stay to the right after the uturn to east 70 to stay on Stapleton make next right into staging area after safeway only gate. Very quick and polite.

Driver delivering here make sure you exit on Colorado and then make a left onto 70 East. Stay to the right and enter staging area. When checking in. You must screen at right building and then make your way to left building.

Theres no communication here.. will tell you a door but wont guarantee which building..tild me door 6 ... but it was on cheese side which is door c6..other side if building.. can inly get into place from Colorado blvd.. and take narrow frontage road exit.. go just past guard house into gate opening to check in.. then good luck

The lumper service is horrible. Had 2 skids to deliver took 4 hours to get paper work back. Universal chain logistics. Called them 3 times was told 20 minutes each time I called and asked. Big fat guy told me that I will remember him that I could sit here 6 hours. Truly dont blame Safeway for this.

Still by far one of the worst DC to go to. The entrance is small but you can fit if you know what you are doing. The signs for the correct entrance are small and hard to see. They now have two lines one for covid check and another to actually check in, and when you get to check in. They barely speak and you cant understand a word they say to you and then they get mad for you not being able to hear. Now thats just check in, if you are lucky enough to get a door right away you can manage a couple hours sleep. If not prepare to possibly be here for 8 hours.

6am appointment. Arrived an hour early. Docked in door 94 and as of 12:21 pm still no paperwork. Sign at security says Stay in Truck. There’s no way to get paperwork and I’ve had a green light for 3 hours. My advice is if you have a load coming here pack a lunch or keep going.

This place is chaos. 6AM appointment. Got here at 5AM. Still here 10AM...not sure about a “driver’s lounge” all my paperwork and instructions said DO NOT LEAVE YOUR TRUCK. Also, there is only 1 portable restroom for hundreds of drivers that come through - with NO WHERE to wash your hands is unacceptable. I’m sure the COVID police would like to know all about these unsafe practices. These drivers are bringing your products, give them a safe & clean restroom. It’s not hard. Health department was notified. Case #4456014. Get a clean restroom and proper hand washing facilities for the drivers.

It took the lumpers 5 he 20 min from the time I called their payment center with the 150.00 lumper fee until they finally gave me the paperwork. This was for a load of water. Not something complex or messed up - a load of all the same product - 20oz bottles of Aquafina water. They did unload me fast - however - they held me hostage from 0938 until 1633.

Don’t bother coming here. 8 am appointment, arrived at 7, finished unloading at 9:30 and it’s almost 1 in the afternoon and i’m still waiting for paperwork.incompetent. avoid if you value your time.

Dont understand this. I have a 0915 appointment and it is now 1243 and they are just now in my truck to unload a product they ordered and yet they want the truck driver to wait. Then they wonder why a trucker gets upset, really?

Terrible place to deliver a load, every time I get a load here I have to plan for 6-8 hours of detention. No one answers the phone, very angry people everywhere. Lumper charge is almost double everywhere else.

Very bad had the guard trying to fight me. Honestly I am working I have to keep it professional but this has been a really bad place since the start the guards cant tell you what time the place opens I wish there was a star less than 1 but I guess there isn’t. Be prepared to deal with the lazy guards in the afternoon. Guard stated that she could not give that “ classified information “ what kind of guard is that ? Where is Safeway getting these guards from who think they are some type of CIA agent com’n. A simple hour would of been fine but I guess not

Staff very friendly and helpful, however this location is hindered by adjacent road construction making it a bit confusing to get in and out of facility. Docks are hard to get into.

Update, call in for door now is good . But the area around Safeway is a disaster. Closed streets . Not easy to get into this place the first time its, on the frontage road thats under construction for 5 years now. Staging area IS NOT THE MAIN GATE. Its the next gate . Opens at 3am . Ive been here countless times ... hit and miss ... a few hours or all day .3 digit door# are in the old part . Some are Very tight.

I have no issues with security or the warehouse staff as everyone was relatively nice....However, the process to get your bills after the lumper company calls you for payment cld take quite some time....Ive been here multiple times and avg time from start to finish is 4-7hrs. Seriously

Always remember that the worse you treat people the worse your experiences will be with people.... They assigned me a door that was still occupied with a trailer and then made me sit and wait for over 2 hours to get a different door when there were plenty of open ones available. Guys who had appointments two hours after mine were getting in and out of the facility before I was even assigned a door. The guy that assigns doors is also rude. Spoke with other drivers who agreed with me

Im seeing a trend with places that charge ridiculous lumper fees. Apt 0400 got door at 0445 and mt by 0900. Still waiting on paperwork.

People were waiting 6+ hours in the dock waiting for them to start unloading.

No bathrooms for outside drivers, I was assigned a door 2 hours after my appointment and the took forever to unload me, making it impossible for me to reach my next pickup 5 hours away. If you have a load here get ready for it to cost you in time & money.

Yeah if you have the choice just don’t come here. Showed up 5:15 for a 0600 finally had bills at 1030.

After all the bad reviews, I expected the worst from this place...My appt was at 4 amThey open the gate at 2:30 amChecked in, got my door. Leave your paper work in the back and they will work the trailer out, then leave the signed bills when done. (plenty of room to comfortably back in) at 3 am turned my truck off and took a nap of about an hour long because they called me and and said I was done there.Was out of there empty at 4:45 am.On 5/27/20Thank you guys, keep the good work.
