Was a little daunted when my number was 38 and they were on 15, however, in 20 minutes I was in and out. Not only that Tim was very courteous and asked if I had a tank to exchange, I did but on the phone the front desk said they could not do an exchange today. HE gave me the exchange price and said I could return tomorrow. This was my first time here and I felt out of place until Tim greeted me with a smile and that was that!
Rob was phenomenal, helped me with everything I needed for a successful install.
Based on their rating, they might be great for contractors, BUT dont bother calling if you arent one - they chose to be of no help for a small residential furnace repair on a Friday just before a weekend with SINGLE DIGIT HIGHS AND NEGATIVE TEMPERATURE LOWS expected!!!!!!!!!.My suggestion - shop online, since thats what they want to force you to do. I dont see why companies, in this day when brick and mortar shops are having trouble fighting the online giants to stay alive, would turn a paying customer away no matter how small. If they want to offer special pricing to contractors that buy from them all the time, I get that, and would expect to pay a contractors markup on any products purchased if using a contractor, because they would be the one warrantying the parts they supply. However, if I need a $14.00 part, and am fine with paying said markup, and then some just to get what I need, to Johnstone Supply, or whatever other company, instead of having a contractor come charge me to diagnose what I already 100% know is wrong and then mark up the part, why should Johnstone care - its a $14.00 part.Edit - I found it at a competitor locally. Unfortunately, after telling me they had it in stock, then asked if I was a contractor I was sent on my way to keep looking elsewhere at the end of a work day. I ended up finding another place that had it, but am not able to get their before they close. Ill either support them, or buy online to save the hassle factor, and pray my system gets me through the cold weekend. Either way, Im not buying from Johnstone, now (clearly) or in the in the reasonably near future via contractor when we have both of our HVAC/Furnaces replaced, because Ill stipulate no parts to be bought from Johnstone for my work...
I was surprised how smoothly it went to pick up the parts I had called in with the social distancing in play... They had the take a number outside, but all counters were open so my wait wasnt any longer than if I had been inside... Always a good experience here, the crew knows their business, always helpful and thorough.
All my experiences here have been positive. Everyone Ive dealt with has been super friendly and very helpful
Everyone here is always incredibly helpful. Jay V. recently especially went above & beyond - and I thank him much for ensuring we had materials needed to get a job completed on time!
Excellent customer service, I mainly deal with Jerry Salgado at the counter and he takes great care of my company.
Good place for residential, light commercial heating and cooling supplies and equipment. Lots of parts and equipment in stock. Ample parking and loading areas.
The receiving personal were quick...and very professional... kudos
Good get all your project needs here.
Its a great supply house. Wholesale only.
These guys rock, all their help is knowledgeable, and dry helpful
Easy pick up for everything you need
Only about a ten minute wait outside. In glorious weather.
Its ok fine
I attended training at this facility and they have a great curriculum. They also have a very nice lab and I would recommend going here for all of your HVAC training. The staff throughout the building was very friendly and everyone there was consistently busy. It was very busy in the store and that is always a good sign. They also have a very nice selection of everything relating to HVAC. If I was a contractor I would buy from them!
It was just fine and safe
Merely the best supplier I ever saw.
I took the 20 week NATE class here. Ive been working in the field for a couple years already, so I wasnt sure if this class would be overly helpful for me, but Ive got to say that I learned so much. Steve Johnson is a treasure trove of information and always finds a way to get through to the class with his off beat comedy and 25 years of experience in the field. Having gone through this course I feel really confident working not only with refrigeration systems but also with electricity and plumbing as well. If you are thinking about taking this class, i would highly recommend it. The confidence and understanding that you will gain is well worth the price of admission.
Great HVAC supply house. For contractors only. No homeowners.
Cant buy from these people, but one guy was helpful giving me name of parts and able lead me getting my own part. Mechanic buyers got pissed for not calling in service when I wanted save money on labor cost. Too many dishonest mechanics for me to trust. To me, those mechanics has nothing but eye ball rolling dollars signs. I feel we have much rights to repair our own equipments as long we have knowledge.
The keep a lot of parts in stock with a great location with plenty of parking, only complaint is its a mad house having to wait 30 minutes to pull an order.
I have always had great service and support from Johnstone, their counter guys will go out of their way to help and I have always found them professional.I think some of the reviews on here criticizing them for not selling retail are unfair and downright stupid, they are wholesale supply to the hvac industry. Just because you watch a YouTube video you are not qualified to work on gas appliances, they dont sell to you because of the liability when you blow your fool self to oblivion. Yes it is expensive to have a knowledgeable professional do the job right and safely and in many cases more expensive because we have to fix what you fixed and deal with people like you. Some people would go to a steak house and leave a bad review because they dont have vegetarian selections.
Fast and had everything in stock
Good customer service.
Had what I needed in and out quik
Failed to clearly state on their website that they only sell to contractors. Told me to go to Federal Heating Supply. I had called FHC earlier, they finally called back and told me they could have it tomorrow. He then quoted me a price 5 times the internet and nearly 3 times where I finally found the part locally. It is likely he was going to get the part from Johnstone Supply and mark it way up, since Im not a contractor. Nice little scam they got going. I guess they dont need my business since the new Bently out front is likely the owners.
They are one of the best heating and air conditioning suppliers in denver! They have what you need or will get it.
It were good
Ive been there a couple of times and will never go back again. The sales people were unfriendly and mean. Great inventory but with that attitude I wont be able to do any business with them.
These guys were upset that I was there after they closed however I was there almost 30 min before closing time. Way to make the customer feel welcomed right? Then I proceeded to try and load a huge A/C into my truck while employees are passing right by me.No offer to help, they actually avoided eye contact. Pathetic customer service.
I have never been treated so well by a suppier. Im with a roofing company and I wasnt in the system. Brian put me in the system, like it was no problem. We went to do a phone sale and our bank denied the purchase because the order was so big. Brian patiently waited for our office to contact the bank to approve the purchase. Also I wasnt sure what I needed, and after I showed Brian the pictures he knew exactly what I needed and our install went perfect. Instead of Brian being rude to me and tapping his pen on the desk when the card was denied, like any other supplier would do. He pulled my order and it was waiting on me after the card was approved. I think I was in the store for no longer than 30 minutes and had everything I needed.
The guys work hard for you
When I die and go to heaven it will be the golden front doors of Johnstone supply!!!
Jest the best hvac supplier fast and very Efficient they usually have everything in stock one stop shop
If I could give zero stars I would. Every time I have ordered from them they have messed my order up in multiple ways. I think they hire anyone off the street with no experience in HVAC.I strongly suggest staying away and go to a real parts house.
Fast service, always have what you need, great specialized tool deals
Terrible counter service, at least based on my one (and final) interaction with Johnstone. I walked in needing a slightly hard-to-find item and the gentleman behind the counter immediately started questioning my business credentials. He refused to clarify what his problem was, behaving like a condescending jerk -- inexcusable. He also uselessly suggested a different supplier that was totally inappropriate for my needs. I took my business to Grainger instead, where I had a completely delightful experience.
Friendly, knowledgeable staff with a great remodeled showroom, wide range of available products, and plenty of loading docks.
Fast service, great stuff.
Fast and friendly.
Great counter guys. Always have everything I need
One of the Best! Great Staff! Always well stocked!
This place is hands-down the best HVAC supplier in town
Service is great always and training is top notch!
For everybody complaining that they dont sell to you, because you do not have an account with them, you sound ridiculous. They are a WHOLE seller and have enough accounts to get by, without the DIY people of the world! With that said, they always have stock but if not are quick to order oem or have other options to finish the job! Turnover amongst the Employees is non existent. This is the go to place for hvac supplys and parts, thats if you have an account with them
I called Johnstone and asked for a part, and also asked if they sold to the public. I was told yes to both questions. I then drive over there - a 25 minute drive, only to be told they only sell to the trade. I was then sent to Federal heating supply where I had to pay 4x the real price (compared to Home Depot online) for the parts. Johnstone is participating in a ripoff scheme in which consumers lose out and trades make money that the consumer never even knows theyre paying them for. In addition the counter person was rude an dismissive. If youre a contractor that honors your clients, avoiding Johnstone would be a gift you could give them. We need to break the gouging monopoly here in Denver - in the SF Bay area, there were always suppliers ready to sell to the public. Personally, Im going to go get a contractors license number to fool these greedy suppliers with.
I choose Johnstone as my number one place to go. Compared to all the other HVAC suppliers in Denver, they are the most friendly, professional, and helpful than others by far.
Best place anywhere
Easy to get to and fast efficient service! Thanks Johnstone!Mike from K and K Windows!
Great place, great staff!
Great staff and the updated store is amazing.
Sorry about that mark lmao
Great place although their phones are always breaking and you cannot call in. Please fix that
Great place, Very helpful!!!
100% have their stuff together where else you gonna go to get this service? no where
These people are annoying.
Great People
A place where you find the best brands of air conditioning systems
