This past Thursday, June 2, 2016, Rory and Roger of B & C Steel picked up a cattle guard and the concrete box that accompanied the guard from a ranch pasture outside of Golden, Colorado. This job involved loading the concrete box in one part of the pasture, and going back out on the highway and into another pasture where the cattle guard was loaded. It took time and a lot of patience to get the box on (5+ Ton) and then the cattle guard (3+ ton) on top of the box. With everything strapped down, the crane and the truck took their loads into the mountains and down Crawford Gulch — a route which involved careful navigation due to ongoing road construction. At the entrance to where the cattle guard and the box were to be offloaded, the road gate did not appear to be wide enough. With a good eye and a great deal of skill the drivers eased their truck and crane through the gate with an inch to spare. We do not anticipate the need to move anything of this nature again. That said, should the need arise, we will call B & C and ask for Roy and Roger.Thank you.Charles and Mary RamstetterC Lazy Three RanchGolden, Colorado
