I think I speak for a lot of men when I say choosing a new barber can be scary task. I recently moved to Denver from out of state and had to decide on which new barbershop to get my first cut at. I’m glad I chose Ralph’s. I myself got a medium skin fade from the man himself. The banter was good, the establishment was clean and the value you get for their pricing is top notch. Probably one of, if not thee, best haircut i’ve ever received. I’m glad I chose this spot! Highly recommend it to anyone needing a new barber or just wanting to try someone new. Thanks bro.

I had to reschedule my appointment at the last minute (~2 hours prior) due to a work commitment, and the owner messaged me to say there was a charge for “cancelling” as late as I did. If this was divulged at any point during the booking process, I’d understand. However, there was nothing during the booking process that even alluded to any charges for rescheduling or cancelling. Nothing is mentioned in emails, or on any screen when you make your appointment.Not to mention, the owner also made it a point to let me know that he lost 7 prospective customers because I didn’t reschedule sooner. He then cancelled my appointment for me, in a clear passive aggressive move.I don’t get how one cancelled slot could have lost this establishment such a significant amount of business, but I do know this: from one East Coaster to another, there’s no need to be so pressed about a last-minute cancellation, unless there are issues beyond the barber shop floor that need not be projected on a (now never-will-be) client. Do better.EDIT: The cancellation notice is buried at the bottom of the web page; I invite the owner to reiterate this policy at the final confirmation screen when placing an appointment.Further, I’d like to emphasize the sheer unprofessionalism in pointing out the potential business missed just because one person attempted to reschedule. Telling a client the business denied “7 cuts that could have taken [my] spot” is a detail best left unsaid.

Moved here from Texas over a year ago and struggled to find a good barber. Stubbled into Ralph’s barbershop and won’t dare go anywhere else. Ralph has mad skills when it comes to that clean New York swag cut. Luke is damn good too. Definitely recommend you visit this shop above all else. You won’t be disappointed!

Its not easy finding a good barber nowadays and I just got lucky with Clark! He did amazing work! I appreciate the time detail and the skills of Clark. I did not feel that hes rush to finish it. Went out for a coffee and lucked into a time slot at this barbershop. I was way overdue and looking like mess, the owner fixed all of that for me. Wish I lived in Denver, this would be my go-to every month. Highly recommend getting in touch with him.

Decent hair cut, poor craftsmanship and personality issues. Something about the owners cutting technique left my head with papercut like scratches and bumps (see photo). For less money, I could have had a much better experience and left with a haircut I felt confident with.Additionally, I had to endure an hour of the owners arrogant monologuing, insensitivity, and description of his macho life story (complete with relatable but triggering stories of his own abuse). He was rude, combative, and flat out unpleasant. In addition to personal judgments against my choice of footwear (cowboy boots that I find ideal for the work I do) and incorrect assumptions on my race, he also wanted to talk gun politics and taxation. Personally, I dont appreciate being held inappropriately as a captive audience, under a sharp blade, to someones political views. This is not a shop I recommend walking into on your day off.They run a cash business but didnt have change for a 20% tip.Before the owner started to cut my hair, he described my original request as too hood and potentially too young. I told him I would be OK with any type of fade that looked good, and I would happily accept his professional opinion. He decided to start by giving me a full skin fade while, simultaneously, telling me that a different type of fade was actually more ideal and that the type of haircut he was giving me was also very young. That didnt make sense to me and was the first red flag. It didnt seem very professional.If these guys are great New York barbers, why are they not practicing in New York? The owner certainly didnt want to talk about the good things in Denver or the mountains.Instead of feeling refreshed and cleaned up, I left the shop feeling downtrodden and a little manhandled. Looking in the mirror, when I got home, I felt that: I looked like the owner, himself, and I definitely dont want to be that kind of man.

Ralph is hands down the best barber in Denver and has been for a while now. For over a year I searched everywhere for someone I could stick with who could at least give me a serviceable haircut I could live with and got a lot of bad ones along the way, why is it so hard to get a decent fade in CO? All that changed the second I tried Ralph, all it took was one to easily recognize his skill level and attention to detail that were head & shoulders above anyone else Ive gotten a cut from in Denver (30+.) It probably has something to do with the fact that hes from New York where they seem to take barbering more seriously, or at least place a higher value on a good one. I even bring my brothers when theyre in town and by now I think hes cut every guy in my family. I never write reviews, but I felt like this one was necessary. Check him out, I promise you wont be disappointed.
