I came to L&Es after reading great reviews, and I was not disappointed. Loris and Jackie took great care of me. They were able to schedule a prompt pre-purchase inspection, then Loris performed all necessary work on the 4Runner at a reasonable price. Prior to replacing leaky valve cover gaskets, Loris communicated up front that he would recommend that we consider replacing the timing belt and associated equipment at the same time as the engine would already be partially disassembled. He ended up looking at the T-belt and deciding that it had life left, and did not need replacing at this time (that repair would have cost an additional approx $900). I thought that was very honest of Loris to NOT do work that didn’t really need doing at this time, and it saved me money that I really needed right now for a move. Likewise, Jackie up front in the office was very friendly and communicated effectively throughout. Thanks and Mahalo Loris and Jackie.

I came in for a pre-purchase inspection. Jackie was very friendly and got me an appointment right away and made the whole process very easy for me. I brought a vehicle in to get it checked out before deciding to buy it and I am very pleased with how thorough they were and they gave me rough estimates of what potential cost would be for repairs. He gave me a full breakdown of everything from damage from the a previous accident, the fixes that were done on the damage as well as paint flaws, frame damage and tire wear. After reading the rave reviews of Loris & Eddies, I was so happy to find my first car at Zarooki Motors, the sister company they perform mechanical services for. All their cars are meticulously inspected with current emissions tests and I trust that Loris & Eddie do a quality job! The car I bought had one minor issue with the passenger side A/C vent being pushed in, and Jackie was able to get me in the next day. Loris took one look at the vent and the job was done in less than 5 minutes at no charge, because I had just bought the vehicle recently. I have nothing but amazing things to say about this place. I took my vehicle into Eddie last minute regarding my brakes, and he was able to take a look at it. Service was impeccable and kept me up to date on everything he was doing. My vehicle had many issues and was on its way out, but I figured I would bring the car in to see if it could be salvaged. Used Loris and Eddies for a pre-purchase inspection of a used car from a private party. First, their so-called comprehensive inspection came up with a report of only 7 items total. This included such bizarre comments as LF fender accident???? and rear wiper blade. When I asked about such fundamentals as fluid levels and condition, brake pad and caliper wear, suspension/stearing linkage/CV boot condition, battery and tire condition, I was told that if they were not listed, they were all fine. I asked for tire tread measurements, brake pad percentages and rotor thickness. They had to call me back. Standard procedure is TO CHECK THESE AREAS AND DOCUMENT THE FINDINGS.Three months later my wife takes this car on a road trip to MN. She calls me while on route in a panic as the battery is dead. Upon arrival in MN a friend tests the battery load finding it at only 28%. This was the ORIGINAL battery! Either Loris and Eddies didnt check the battery or they neglected to tell me either of these facts. What else did they NOT inspect? What else did they NOT tell me.Find another shop that follows standard inspection and documentation protocol. Your or your loved ones life may depend on it.Writing this review 4 months after service, as a significant issue was recently discovered.

Called and asked if they accept overnight dropoffs and the person who answered the phone acted as if I was speaking a foreign language and said she didnt know what that meant. I feel its a very standard practice for mechanics to accept dropoffs ove night considering being otherwise unaccommodating to working people with 9-5 jobs. Went to Brakes Plus off of Federal instead.

They fixed my Jeep side doors that had huge scratched and dents and they did a great job!! I have HUGE dents and paint issues! I trust them a ton they were so easy to work with every step of the way!

The absolute best repair shop I have ever been to. After receiving some not so good repars back in Ohio, I was nervous on how to find an honest repair shop in Denver. When I called on the phone Jackie was immediately the most helpful person I had ever talked to. I scheduled my appointment and after some unforeseen events I called back and asked if they could let me know if they have any cancellations as I needed my car fixed ASAP. They immediately were accommodating and went out of their way to change their schedule in order to help me. I have never been treated so kindly by any business in my entire life and I have been recommending them to all of my friends who are also new to Denver. Jackie even called a few weeks after my appointment to check in and make sure everything was running okay. I am so grateful to have found such honest people.

Few things are harder than finding an honest mechanic with reasonable hourly rates and good quality service. Loris and Eddies Auto Repair meets these needs, and then exceeds them. Loris rebuilt my entire brakeline for an old Toyota Pickup for which parts were unavailable. Along the way, he updated me on the progress and asked if I wanted to move forward given unexpected issues. He also recommended a brand of tires I never heard of, but after reading online reviews, these tires were some of the highest rated truck tires. Loris doesnt try to squeeze extra dollars by suggesting unnecessary work.To make things even better, Jackie is a wonderful presence in the front desk and has been great at communicating through phone calls and messages. Denvers abysmal public transportation system means that you need a car in this city. I would recommend this place to anyone who has car issues and needs a reliable repair shop. I dont look forward to having a need to go back to Loris and Eddies, but Im grateful to have found a great mechanic in Denver.

I needed an immediate alternator change, as I had to drive back to Texas two days later and my Lexus GX470 died as I pulled into their shop. Despite a long line of cars that needed to be done that day, they fit mine in and had it done hours before they closed. They treated me with respect and empathy and made the whole process seamless. I was looking at purchasing a used car from a dealership nearby, and based on the reviews that Loris and Eddie had, I elected to take the car to them for a pre purchase inspection. MAN....Im so very VERY thankful I did. Loris took the time to show me everything about the vehicle, both the good and the bad. He explained the cost of what each issue would be, and how crucial it was or if it could wait a while. Im used to mechanics telling you everything has to be done right away, and then taking all your money. Loris is the complete opposite. This place is pretty far from my home, but if at all possible I will be taking any car I own to Loris for any repairs in the future.And I also want to give praise to Jackie who runs the front office. She was extremely nice to deal with, and just a pleasure to meet. She told me before hand how Loris would explain everything to me, and she didnt exaggerate. We are new to Denver so didnt really have any recommended mechanic. We brought them a couple of used cars for pre-purchase inspection. In the first instance, Loris saved us from buying an expensive Honda that looked really nice on the outside, but had quite a few major issues. Unlike other places where you only get a piece of paper with a laundry list, he was patient enough to show us each and every issue on the car itself. We were impressed, so came back with the 2nd (better) car which we now own. He even fixed a minor issue at no cost, and never pushed for any unnecessary repairs. I am no expert in car repair, but I know an honest person when I see one. Also, Jackie at the front is a dear. A real pleasure to do business with professionals.

Loris is the best, He is an honest mechanic! If you need a quick service or something repaired call and set an appointment with them. They are very thorough and make sure they figure out what is wrong with the car. I had an Audi that I took to 2 different mechanic shops for an oil leak. I paid both places to fix the oil leak, neither one succeeded. I do not know how they missed it or what happened but when I parked in my drive way there would be a dinner size plate oil stain sitting there in the morning. I took it to loris, he found a leak that only occurred when the car was tilted and it came from the transmission. He found what the problem was and fixed it for a reasonable price. I appreciate it and I do not take my cars any where else. Thanks Loris and Eddies for being great!

This is a fantastic auto shop. I took a car in to be inspected before I bought and I am so glad I brought it here. He got the car all lifted up and showed us the erosion and rust that was eating away everything. The dealership that I was try to buy this 2011 nissan xterra from Hooshies auto is a complete scam. They must know some mechanics cuz they try to spray paint the under of the vehicle to cover up all the rust and erosion. Probably a car from the east coast from the looks of all the rust. It was so bad it, you could chip away the frame, struts, even some of the piling. This guy at Loris & Eddies was fair priced and very thorough. I would love you give this guy more business but I live in the springs.

Their rates were fine for parts but i really wish labor costs would start to reflect more the time it actually takes. I know my car well enough and I do enough repairs on it. They said my oil was low even though I just did it myself and said they filled it and then charged me for it. I use a nice pricier oil in my car and I am not ok with places doing that without consulting me. They also had my car for 2.5 days and I was always the one who had to call them. Probably wouldnt use again because of the oil thing (as that just comes across as dishonest to me)...but overall they seemed to have done the work I needed.

This has been one of the best auto repair shop experiences Ive had in Denver and that says a lot! There was no up-selling, in fact there was nothing but facts. Theyre not there to waste your time or your money. This place keeps it real with what needs to be fixed and with an affordable/expected price. I found Loris and Eddies Denver Auto Repair while looking for an auto shop nearby. They had great reviews, and I needed somewhere close by to fix a busted radiator. I am SO glad I called them! Loris was great from the start. He gave me advice before I made the appointment, and then was able to schedule my car on short notice. I dropped it off and they said they would start on Thursday and thought they would have it finished by the end of the day Friday. They had it finished by noon! The price for the repair was very reasonable, and Loris was a pleasure to work with. I highly recommend them and will be using them in the future.

I cant thank Loris enough. I had alternator problems and let Loris know the car was a bit of a rust bucket. He was transparent on pricing and let me know if something happened there could be additional labor. Turned out a previous mechanic had broken a bolt to which Loris was able to successfully work around. Unfortunately, the new alternator crapped out on the drive home. I towed it back to Loris who replaced the alternator for free and informed me the battery had gone bad. Replacing both appears to successfully fixed my problem. I would recommend going here, they do great work at a fair price!

This is a fair and honest auto shop. I was getting ready to move out of state when all the sudden my car started making a clanging noise. I was worried it was something major, so I asked them to check it out for me. They had an answer for me within hours and informed it was just a loose sway bar that my previous mechanic didnt tighten enough. They had my car back to me in no time, and only charged me the diagnostic fee. So glad I went to this shop rather than getting ripped off somewhere else!!

I needed an oil change. Loris got me right in and took care of it. He also let me know that I had a valve leak, I had my suspicions, because I had smelled oil burning but could not locate a leak, even had another mechanic inspect my car and told me it was good no issues. Loris wasnt pushy at all even told me to wait on the repair till I needed my oil changed again for simplicity. Appreciate his great service and knowledge. By far one of the most trustworthy mechanics Ive met. I needed my AC worked on, and Loris walked me through all that would go into getting it fixed and it was not an easy job! The last mechanic I used - a mobile mechanic- stole my vehicle after claiming he needed to take it to his shop for repairs. Needless to say, I had completely lost faith in mechanics until I was referred to Loris. Not to mention that the secretary, Inez, is also incredibly kind and helpful. Everyone needs a mechanic they can trust - even the newest cars need service and the occasional repair. Couldnt say enough good things about Loris and his auto shop. When the dealership was going to charge me an arm and a leg to fix a problem and other auto shops wouldnt fix it, I was in a bind. I went to Loris and he even noticed where the dealership forgot to reconnect some things. When that wasnt the cause of the problem, Loris was able to order the part quickly and get me in to the shop to fix it. He couldnt have been nicer, even dropped me off at the light rail station! The job was well done, saved me money, and I will never go to another auto repair shop or dealership again for repairs. They even cleaned my car before pickup, inside and out! Ive been coming to Loris to buy and repair cars for over 7 years. He is a great mechanic, very honest, and has never tried to upsale me. I know how to change my own oil, power steering fluid, and do most of the basic upkeep and mechanic work on my vehicles. But because I appreciate a genuinely honest mechanic who want swindle or try to screw me over *cough* Grease Monkey *cough* I drive down from Fort Collins to Loris for all my mechanic work. If youre​ looking for a family mechanic that you can rely on and trust, Loris is your guy.

UPDATE: AVOID THIS PLACE!!!!!!Less than one month after purchase, while on my commute to work, the transmission on the SUV I bought broke! Scary! I paid just slightly more than the price on Kelley Blue Book (exact mileage and great condition) at this dealership, and it cost me almost the same amount of money to have the transmission rebuilt. My original review is at the end of this update.Back when I was test-driving the car at Zarooki Motors, I was concerned over a rattling noise. The dealer, Joe, took me to see their mechanic Loris Zarooki (co-owner). Loris told me the noise was a common meshing rattle for a manual transmission when coasting in gear. I never heard anything like that noise before, though I had only been familiar with 2 small manual cars in my life and never a 4WD SUV. As stated in my original review, Loris was very attentive and convincing; and I saw that both the dealership and garage had stellar online reviews, including from people I knew. To ease my concern over the rattling noise and displaying confidence in their work, Joe offered me a 6-month warranty on the clutch service they had performed. Given all of this, I thought an independent inspection by another mechanic, which Joe was adamant about being unnecessary, would indeed be a waste of time and money. That was a mistake.After three weeks of worsening symptoms from the purchase date, I took the car to a trusted mechanic, who did a quick inspection with a stethoscope and told me to take the car to a transmission shop, because it did not sound good at all (They didnt charge me for the inspection). After finding a transmission shop, I was informed the transmission was failing, but without dropping the transmission they couldnt specify why it was failing or when it would fail; they stated it could be a matter of days or even months.At this point I called Joe, to ask him how I should proceed and if I could use the clutch warranty to defray expenses, since the labor required for removing/installing a transmission is very close to that of a clutch service. Even though I used a neutral tone with Joe, seeing that I desperately wanted him to help me, he got immediately belligerent, repeatedly yelling my name and saying the mechanics were fooling me. I had to calm him down, and say I wanted to work with him to see if something could be done. Eventually he calmed down and suggested I bring the car to Loris for an inspection, and I agreed with that. In two days however, the transmission broke down (scary loud noises and first gear would not engage). I left the car with the closest mechanic in Boulder, now the third mechanic to tell me I needed a new transmission. After shopping around, I towed the car to the transmission shop from before for a rebuild. The rebuilt transmission and new transfer case have been working fine without any noises for 4+ months now.Either shady business practices or incompetence has been displayed here, neither of which is something you want from a dealership/mechanic. It turned out the clutch covered by dealer on the contract was only for parts and that didnt help at all.Original Review:I had a great experience with Zarooki Motors and with Joe, who is awesome! I was looking specifically for private sellers at first, but after I found Zarooki Motors it was clear to me that they were the BEST option for a used car. They have tons of great reviews, and I even found a personal reference from someone I know, which was a pleasant surprise.Im very inquisitive and critical before deciding on a purchase and both Zarooki Motors and their associated auto shop, Loris & Eddies Auto Repair, were incredibly patient and attentive. Not only was Joe willing to go over all my concerns and questions, but even his mechanic, Loris, personally took a ride with us to address any concerns I had about the car, for FREE. This kind of customer treatment is very rare these days. Kudos to both of them for caring about their customers. I wish more businesses would be like this.Im very satisfied with my car purchase!

Loris started working on mine and my girls vehicles 3 or 4 years ago. My friend recommended him and right off the bat I felt I could trust him. When he told me he would give me the same treatment he would his own mothers car, that went a long way. I had a car that was old and I did not have a lot of money to spend on fixing it. He would be honest with me when letting me know I could fix this part, but if you can live with the noise or whatever was happening, it did not NEED to be done. Saving me money where any dealer or many mechanics could just say that the problem needs to be fixed when it could either wait or not need to be done at all. Hes not a salesmen, he is a good guy just fixing cars for people.

These guys are great! Ive come here several times and have always gotten super service at a great rate. After getting several quotes for a timing belt replacement, Loris and Eddie have me the best deal. Ive even taken my popup camper in for minor tire/wheel work. The last time I was in, I explained that I was heading out of town the next day. The owner ordered the part, went in early and had it done before 8 am. Came all the way from NY in my ‘92 Camry. I needed my breaks serviced and these guys were the only ones in town who offered to cut my rotors and were completely honest throughout the entire job. Excellent family owned Auto Repair shop in Denver. Its a no frills shop, so the only thing you are paying for is hard working, smart, and honest mechanics whos only concerns are doing great work and helping their customers. I recently brought my Xterra in with a serious problem involving a cracked firewall at my clutch assembly. After having a local Nissan dealership basically shrug their shoulders and show me the door, Loris not only understood exactly what the problem was, but fixed the problem and added reinforcements to help ensure the issue doesnt happen again. The whole process was very fast and efficient, and after two days I had my vehicle back as if there was never an issue to begin with. Thanks guys, for your honest and high quality work.
