I took my 2004 F150 5.4 3V to mastermind for a timing job. Now let me tell you this, This is the best place you can take your Ford vehicle. Norm took care of the issue and even went beyond to explain the work, the updates and even the maintenance I should do going forward. I’ve been driving it for a week and each day that went by I loved it even more. Yeah I found a great place to fix my truck incase of an issue. I’ll definitely go back Check them out. This is the best auto repair place EVER. I only use Mastermind for repairs. I was sick and tired if being cheated and lied to by other mechanics. I have been going here for 4 or 5 years now. Last week he installed/repaired my air conditioner in my 1999 Chevy blazer. Because he is a 45 minute drive from my house, I shopped around to shops closer to me. After talking to a few I knew I would not be happy with them. All the up sells and BS they always give you. So even with the hassle of finding someone to pick me up from Mastermind and dropping me back off 6 hours later, I found that it was well worth it. I was also having trouble with my drivers side wiper not clearing the windshield. I have had several places replace the blades and still had the same problem. I asked Norm to take a look at it. The windshield had a defect. No one has ever been able to figure out why it didnt work. If you are looking for great service, knowledgeable mechanic and great customer service, this is the place to go.

Great family run shop. Norm is the only mechanic who works on my truck, over the years he has replaced my starter, oil cooler lines, intake manifold gasket, ball joints, control arms, suspension and anything else I ask. I drive a 1999 s10 with 260,000+ miles and truck is running great. Norm takes the time to talk with me and go over parts used or any other questions I have. Never been recommended work that I don’t need or up sell on services I don’t want. This is my new go to shop. I had some engine problems and they were able to look at it immediately. Unfortunately my cars computer needs to be replaced which can only be done at a dealership but they did all the diagnosis and looked the entire vehicle over at no cost since they couldnt replace the computer. I had the absolute best experience with Norm and his wife Heidi!I needed to get my timing chains, guides, cam tensioners, and just the entire timing rebuilt with everything involved on my 06 Nissan Xterra. Not only did they beat the nearest price quoted to me of$2650 but they were able to do so for nearly $1000 less. I called on a Friday and was able to use their afterhours drop off service to leave my car there the following Sunday, was blown away by how quickly Norm was able to get my car done and back to me only taking 2 days to complete the job. Norm even took the time to take before and after pictures of the work and pointed out exactly the services done and parts replaced. Overall just a great experience, I plan on using Mastermind for all major repairs from here on out. I took my car to Mastermind because of a check engine light that had been on for months. I took my car to 3 other mechanics before Norm took a look at it. None of them could fix it and I spent over 2k in parts and labor. Norm had my car for 1hr, cleaned the MAF sensor, didnt even charge me for his work. Just got an oil change and had a check engine light evaluated here. Oil change was competitively priced for a full synthetic and they were able to get me in quickly after I left them a message. He also was able to give me advice on my check engine light and advised it wasnt a critical fix so I was able to wait which was nice for an expensive fix. Overall I think Ill be back, had a good experience.

I moved out to CO a couple years ago and have been looking for a mechanic off and on as needed. I have now used them twice and have been very satisfied not only with the work he does but also with the price and especially his turn around time considering the work done. As a side note, my girlfriend was told she needed some work done and received an estimate. I recommended Mastermind and they did the work at a fraction of cost and fixed up another little minor thing as well. Highly recommended.

So I had a slight hitch with my appointment being scheduled incorrectly the first time I stopped in to get my brakes fixed...HOWEVER, Mastermind more than made up for it. About a month ago I brought my 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee to Mastermind for an oil change & overall check-up. I knew there were some issues that needed to be taken care of. In the past I always took it to the dealer, which my husband wasnt thrilled with. He never seems to be happy with who I take it to. After the work was done my husband went with me to pick it up. Norm and Heidi have been great to me and my 97 Jeep Wrangler. After a rough trip on Thanksgiving of last year I needed a new transmission in my Jeep and Norm followed up with me the same day. They not only were able to diagnose the problem the day I called but had my car fixed, running and ready for me to pick up all before they closed that evening. I was referred to Mastermind Enterprises and couldnt be happier that I took that advice. When my fuel pump went out while driving, I had my car towed to their shop. Not only did I receive excellent service, Norm and Heidi were very helpful with a problem that occurred when the tow truck driver damaged the rear control arm on my vehicle. I brought my 32 foot class C motorhome because it was squeaking on the front drivers side wheel. Norm checked it and saw that it was my tire and not something that was a lot more expensive. I had no idea they worked on an RV of that size. Very honest!!!! thank you!

We dropped a car off for diagnosis of a problem it was having. Within 24 hours we had the dx, an estimate for repairs and were even told it was something that could wait to be fixed until after our move to another state. Heidi, it was lovely chatting with you while waiting on hubs to show up!

I may be the only 1 start rating on this company, but I insist on sharing my experience with Mastermind Enterprises. After reading reviews on the internet on this company, I trusted them to R&R the engine on our car. I spent a large sum of money with them, understanding I had warranty coverage to take care of any problems with the engine for up to 3 years. Turns out, even though I have coverage with the warranty, they now want to charge me nearly $1000 more to fix a problem that is covered under the warranty (which by the way, doesnt seem to add up in my logical mind, as I did some research with other reputable mechanics regarding an engine swap and the amount of time involved to do it). I understand warranties, limitations and the such, (where in this particular case, the engine company is standing by their part, paying for the new engine, and the replacement- but Norm at Mastermind wants to charge over and above the normal rate to swap an engine now-leaving me with a bill) but I also understand Customer Service and owning and running a business ourselves (my Husband and I) We aim to serve and make things right by the clients who bring revenue in to our pockets. While Mastermind Enterprises may have completed our engine swap, we were nothing to them other than money in their pockets. They made no effort to help in this situation, to negotiate with me, or to honor the work they did less than a year ago. I am really disappointed with their level of SERVICE, and their effort to retain me as a customer. I would NEVER recommend their shop to anyone, nor deal with them in the future.

Had my 2001 Dodge Caravan serviced at Mastermind with great results. They confirmed my suspicions of a failing power steering system and discovered a bigger problem that I didnt know was going on. Kind and courteous, they worked with my schedule and got the job done right. 10/10 would go again.

We recently had repairs performed at Mastermind after a literal debacle with a local dealership. We could not be more pleased! Not only did the Olsons provide excellent service/customer service, they have gone above and beyond assisting us in documenting the hack job that was performed by the dealership we worked with. As long as we are in Denver we will not take out vehicles anywhere else!!

LONG STORY BUT WORTH READING TO UNDERSTAND HOW GREAT THIS SHOP IS. Ive seen many mechanics for many years and never kept going to the same due to bad service and getting ripped off, many times. I bought a 2005 Pacifica about 8 years ago, after 1 year of owing it, it began having a clunking noise. I took to a good shop to diagnose the problem, they came back that front struts were bad, but they were charging way too much, so I replaced them through a cheaper mechanic, but after repair same issue. The 2nd mechanic suggested other suspension parts but still noise was around. After many more mechanics (I even took it to the dealership) and many parts later it still was having same issue. After a while, I began doing my own work, by now I had figured out that replacing the sway bar links helped, temporarily. After a few months the noise would return and had to replace the sway bar link over and over . A few months ago, I thought I had finally resolved the issue, I replaced a sway bar bushing clamp, and the noise completely went away and the suspension felt so much better. Then about 1 week later the noise returned, by now I was defeated and almost wanted to take a hammer to this vehicle. I just didnt want to deal with this anymore. Then while getting some car audio work done on another vehicle (close to Masterminds location), I noticed the their sign. I googled them and liked their review ratings. After calling to schedule an appointment, I was hesitant to go there due to their diagnosis fee being a bit higher than average. However, I figured they were worth it based on their reviews. So I took it in not expecting a solution for the issue Ive had for years and spent so much money. I thought I would get a I dont know what the issue is, but its save to drive, i got this statement from a Chrysler dealership repair shop. Instead I got a call from Mastermind that it was ready and issue had been SOLVED! I still didnt believe them until I drove my vehicle and 3 months after repair still NO CLUNKING noise and NO signs that the problem will be returning. Mastermind only charged me for the Diagnostic fee ($95) and told me the issue. It did have to do with the sway bar links, what was happening was that when new sway bar links were installed the nuts were tight, but then with suspension movement, the sway bar nuts would get loose and clunking would return. Mastermind informed me that the sway bars should have been installed with threadlock to avoid the nut getting loose. WOW! It was that simple, and after all the mechanics, forums, research and frustrations, MASTERMIND had resolved the issue and solved an ongoing issue. THEY GOT MY BUSINESS AND WILL BE COMING BACK. As a longtime vehicle owner and somewhat expert on mechanics (due to all my visits to various mechanics), I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND Mastermind for your future vehicle repairs or checkups. Mastermind Enterprises did an amazing job on both our cars. We first took our Acura MDX to them in September. It needed a lot of work and we had been putting it off since the quote was so high from the dealership where we bought it. Heidi and Norm quoted us over $1000 under the dealership quote. They were thorough and efficient with repairing our vehicle. It has never ran better. Last week our other car, a Buick Rainier, unexpectedly broke down while my sister was driving it on the Intestate. We had it towed to Mastermind Enterprises after hours. We were expecting significant mechanic issues and a high cost in repair. Norm later called the next day with a very low estimate for repairs and would have it done by that evening. We found out it was caused by repairs another dealership completed on the vehicle previously. This vehicle is also running better than it has in a very long time. We will be bypassing any dealerships from this point on and going straight to Mastermind Enterprise. They are transparent in their communication. They wont do any work without confirming with the owners first. We are very grateful to have found a family owned, reliable, transparent mechanic who cares about their customers. Fantastic customer service, speedy and properly done repairs at a fraction for the cost of other places. I will definitely be bringing my truck here when I need some work done, and I would recommend them to anyone!

I recently picked up my car from Mastermind Enterprises, and thought that it was about time I put up a comment about them. Norm Olsen has been my mechanic for about ten years now; I even have a certificate naming me as his first customer. There are reasons why I have taken my cars consistently to wherever Norm has been doing business for that long: It is possible to find competent mechanics. It is possible to find totally honest mechanics. It is not so easy to find one who combines both traits to the highest degree. Whenever I have taken a car to Norm for anything from a mis-aimed headlight to a complete engine rebuild it has come back fixed. He has let me know when problems were smaller than I imagined, has always informed me as to how long I can wait for a needed repair before it becomes a bigger problem, and has at times worked out less-expensive, tide-me-over options when the ideal repair was too much to handle at the time. I have absolute confidence in Norm Olsen and Mastermind Enterprises.
