Nate saved me $223, and I didnt even use him to fix my car. Basically, Nate had no incentive to help me, outside of being a decent human. If you want to know the story, its below. But thats the takeaway. You can trust him. You should go there.I brought in my car to another mechanic close to my home because it was leaking coolant. They gave me an estimate of $1,600. I asked specifically what parts they were replacing and what parts were broken. I was suspicious of the number when I called my dad (who has been fixing my car for the last 10 years) and he said he felt like that was outrageously high.I got a recommendation from a friend to call Nate. I asked if I could get a quote and said I couldnt bring my car to him since I had already approved the cost and they had already started fixing my car at the other place. Nate still took time out of his day to look up the cost of every part and gave me an estimate for the entire job. It was significantly cheaper than what I was being quoted. I called the other place back and told them I had gotten a much cheaper quote from Nate. Nate then got multiple phone calls from the other mechanic and they talked about where they got the parts from (same place) and what Nates estimate included.Flash forward to when I finally receive my invoice. Its $223 cheaper than my initial quote. The other guy switched around his labor costs to more closely match Nates quote. But even still..Nates quote was still cheaper than what I paid.The whole time Nate talked/texted me, he told me how to look up the cost of parts, what website to use, and how to google to know exactly how much repairs should cost. He basically helped me become an informed customer and told me to keep those mechanics honest! Ive been dealing with multiple mechanics here in Denver and Ive never trusted one until now.I still havent paid Nate a dime. The only thing I can do for now is tell my story and hope he gets some more customers from it. And I hope he knows that Ill be calling his number the next time my car breaks down.Thank you Nate!!
