Moved to Dekalb for college and needed a good nail place. Found OQ and it’s my go to! Service and technicians are so friendly & professional. Always look forward to my next time there :)

I have been getting my pink and white fills here for over a year now. I have been extremely pleased with the service. My nails have never stated on so well. They would last a month, however, I usually go every three weeks or so because of the growth. They give a great pedicure, as well. I have read a lot of the comments on here and see that women of color have complained about not being treated the same as the Caucasian women. Every time I’ve been in here there are normally far less Caucasian women than women of color. I too have had an appointment and had to wait. I do not feel that there is any discrimination by this business. I also do not believe in playing the color card. We are all humans regardless of color, sex, or religion. Not sure why we have cause more racial tension. I think the government is doing a really good job of that.

Came in with a broken acrylic SNS nail. They took me IMMEDIATELY, and were very quick, and efficient. EXTREMELY friendly staff, and very clean/cute nail shop. Nail is as good as new! Highly recommend!

They were really cute when I got them The problem is that was yesterday and they’re breaking off already one broke in my sleep cause I was sleeping on my hand and one broke while I was washing my hands 🤦🏾‍♀️ and they cost $70 so you would think they would be good quality but no 🤦🏾‍♀️ And I’m positive they going to charge me an arm and a leg to go get them fixed today 🤦🏾‍♀️

Very misleading about the wait. They seem to tell everyone it will be 30 minutes regardless of how long the wait will actually be. I’ve also had scheduled appointments that started over a half hour late. I really liked this place when they first opened, but now the quality and customer service is lacking.

I am currently visiting family from out of town and needed to find a nail salon for a dip manicure. All the nail salons in town or two towns out had poor reviews. I decided to check out Dekalb and made an appointment at OQ Nails. Im so glad I did! The male nail tech was very professional and did a fantastic job! And the price was very reasonable regardless of prices hiking up during this scamdemic. If I lived here I would definitely drive 50 minutes every time ti get my nails done!

They are only happy to service a certain type of people and that is not people of color I would come in and either they will be so called busy and send me away but take the next none colored person that is behind me or they will take me and I would be sitting there for hours while when certain people walk in the door they will be serviced and finished before I would I had multiple of my friends tell me this but I didn’t believe then until today. I went just to get my eyebrows waxed and they said they were busy, but there were 3 white caucasian females in front of me that was seated to get their nails done. I would never spend another penny in this nail salon and I advise any person of color to do the same.

Made an appointment for 130 for two pedicures. Walked in and they were all ready for us. Water warmed and ready to go. After viewing their multiple pedicure options, I decided on the lavender pedicure. It was beyond amazing. It includes a salt scrub, lotion, paraffin, and of course the color of your choice. I was very pleased by the customer service, offering something to drink and the promptness of our appointment. I will absolutely be returning.

I brought in a picture of what I wanted but wanted it customized. They did such a good job and I was super happy with the results. However, everytime I have been there I have had to wait a decent amount of time before they were able to get to me, thats why I am giving them 4 starts.

Made an appt. for 3:30 for a pedicure and nail dip. The pedicure started late. It was fine vet nicely. Then I waited over 30minutes to have my nails started. I ended up only getting 2 repairs which have already ripped off. The dipping was not done properly. They just kept takin more and more people in while I sat and waited. I was not finished until almost 6pm. That’s 2 1/2 hours for a basic pedicure and 2 nail repairs. It was my first and last time there.

The BEST nail salon in the area!! Their designs are pure art. They are super friendly as well and really listen to you to make sure you get exactly what you want. I love this place!

I wanted to like this place as it is closer to my house than my usual nail salon, but I wouldnt go back. The pedicure was good, I have no complaints about that. When it came to my dip manicure, she completely rushed through it and was very rough. At one point, she dropped a tool on the ground and proceeded to put it right back in her box. There was no sanitization anywhere from what I saw.

They are never consistent about acrylic nails. They never last that long like literally a week it is horrible waste of money. Like they will definitely rush through the nails. If you get the right person the nails will be good but if you get the wrong person it will be horrible! They always over book people and will have you waiting forever!

The pedicures are phenomenal! Definitely worth the price. The receptionist is pleasant. They offer a cash discount which is always nice. I took my kids with me and of course they got antsy. Anyway the older gentleman came to ask me if they could have drinks which was nice and helped calm them until I was done. No one made my kids feel unwelcome and I was able to relax and enjoy my services. The tech was very attentive, listened to me and did my nails the way I wanted them. Since I cant make it to my old place this may become my new place.

First nail shop I found and loved it. Although they were busy I was seen fairly quickly and experienced great service

I went in to get acrylic nails redone.. I sat there with tin foil & soaked cotton balls on my fingers from 5:30pm-7:15pm and never had any help past that. My fiancé sat waiting for an hour, they then filled up the soaker and had his feet soaking for over an hour while he waited for someone to help him with a pedicure. We gave up and left. If they didn’t have time, they could have easily said that. I typically like this salon but it’s been getting worse with every visit so I will not be returning.

Was not timely and or proficient in technical skills. Could not complete a simple ombre technique. I was extremely dissapointed with the paint job, filling, and fill of my acrylic nails.... I reccomend going to Sycamore for quality and professional skills for a far better price range.

It’s obviously a new establishment, so it’s very appealing to the eye.1. Flies everywhere. I came to relax and get a pedicure not be pestered by flies.2. They need a RECEPTIONIST to set appointments correctly. I sat w my feet in water for 45min before salon representative even started on my pedicure. A lady came in after me and was serviced before me.3. Please get a RECEPTIONIST.

Normally, I love this salon. They do a great job for a fair price. You cannot come any other time than whwn thwy first open. Sont bother making an appointment, they dont honor them. You will be here for FOUR HOURS! They do not go in order & youll get stuck waiting for hiors. They overbook EVERY TIME. 🤬🤬🤬🤬

At my first time in this salon, I made an appointment the day before and the day I came in, I waited for over an hour. I asked to speak with the manager and they spoke about me in Chinese and the manager just ignored me. So I left, will never return. It’s a shame it looks like a nice establishment, but the people here are so unprofessional and rude.

The wait was horrible and very unprofessional. I waited a hour because people had “appointments” but they did not. I am highly upset because 2 days after I got my nails done my nails chipped and broke never going to them again another thing I did not receive cell phone service

Phenomenal! They both removed my old Acrylics and gave me a brand new Halloween themed set. I wasn’t sure what design I wanted when I walked through the door, but everyone was more than helpful!

Hi, this place made me very frustrated.I made an appointment and waited there for quite a while. When I finally got helped, I asked for a design and the lady doing my nails looked at me with an annoyed look. But she ended up doing it anyway. Throughout the whole time she looked like she wanted to go home. Which we all do but she could’ve tried to be nice for the sake of it being her job. Anyway, she did it and it looked ok but I ended up paying for it and left. Needles to say, didn’t like it

From the moment I walked through the door I had a great experience. I was greeted at the door with smiling faces. The man behind the counter asked me what services I was interested in and then showed me all of the services they offered as well as their special package prices. I ended up getting the lavender pedicure which was amazing. Lena took her time and made my feet look beautiful and feel even better. When I went to get my nails done, the man that did them did a beautiful job shaping, painting, and doing my acrylics. But the best part was the customer service. They were so patient and kind to not only me but my small children I had to tag along with me. They talked to the baby when he got fussy, and made my daughter feel special. This was such a pleasant experience and I will definitely be back soon

I had a great experience at OQ!! Kristy did a really good job on my nails and I loved talking to her!! I appreciated that she made conversation and wanted to get to know me. Even though it was past closing she didnt rush on my nails or show annoyance towards me.I havent gotten my nails done in a really long time. But after my experience here I definitely want to get them done more often. I cant wait to treat myself to another mani and pedi here!

First time in location. Paid $50 for a dip manicure. Nails themselves are fine, but absolutely no cuticle work was done prior to putting the tips on. Asked for simple designs on my thumbs and they were rushed and poorly done. Technician was very clearly rushing to finish me and looked mildly annoyed when I asked for thumb designs. Lots of people were coming in for walk-ins, so I understand the need to rush, but I was disappointed that I spent that kind of money and am hardly happy with what I got. Will go somewhere else in the future.

I went here and I hated it.I walked in and no one said hi, and I get they’re busy but a simple welcome would have been fine. I was a walk in and had to wait for 45 minutes before finally being helped. The person doing my nails rushed my nails and they turned out horrible. I still had to pay for them even though they were not what I wanted.

Perfect place for nail service. Beautiful and comfortable atmosphere, very inclusive and sweet staff. Usually going the extra mile to make your experience the best it can be. They have a 10% off offer if you pay with cash! Gone here theee times and have NOT walked out disappointed at all! High recommended for anyone!

I really wanted to like this place because one of the ladies was so polite and kind. But I had called and made an appointment for my service and ended up having to wait for 45 minutes with little or no interaction. Due to the late start and having obligations later that day I had stressed to the employee that I did not have time for all of the services that I had made my appointment for. So they insisted they could get me done in time and rushed through my full acrylic set for my nails to start popping off about a week later. I decided to give them another try and called ahead for my fill and asked for a 5:20 PM appointment. Right now it is currently 6:18 PM and I have once again been ignored for about an hour. The only reason I am still here is because my nails look awful and I have an important event. I really wanted to love this place but they do not seem to appreciate customers time when appointments are made.

Everyone is incredibly kind and talented. Ive never once had a nail break or chip despite the fact that I work in an environment where its very easy to if the nails arent perfectly set. I appreciate the hospitality as well as the great prices for such good work! I havent been dissappointed yet!

I have tried several other salons in DeKalb, and OQ Nails & Spa is the very best! Lovely people and surroundings, clean and pleasant. I have gotten flawless powder dip manicures. The attention to detail, expert skill, fantastic customer service and great prices are unmatched elsewhere. I highly recommend Kevin! Plus, they are open seven days a week and offer a cash discount. I wish there were more than five stars to rate them with! 😀

This place is absolutely gorgeous! My nails look amazing and service there was great. They were hardworking and very caring. They offered me a wide variety of drinks and I thought that was generous. I think this is the best nail salon in DeKalb in my opinion. I definitely recommend this place if you are looking for a place to do your nails!

Gel manicure looked GREAT, lasted over 2 weeks! (Would have lasted longer but I can’t stand having long nails, ha)Prices are average and even better when there’s specials and a cash discount. Staff was nice and facility looked clean and modern.The only negative was how many times I was asked to add on a pedicure—a little pushy there, but not rude. Can’t wait to go back 😊

I went into the nail salon for my nail appointment and I waited there for half an hour since there was no one to assist me. But then this white couple comes in and someone took them in right away for their appointment even though it was later than mine. Mind you I am a black woman. The same thing also happened to another black woman but she just ended up leaving since they didnt take her in for her appointment. Not only that but when I was getting my eyebrows done the lady doing them would laugh at me if I flinched or my eyes watered up. I refuse to ever go back there now because they treated me so poorly. Funny how they took in the white person for their 3:30 appointment but they didnt take in the black woman for her 3:00. I even showed up 10 minutes early and still no one took me back for more than half an hour aftermy appointment was scheduled. I am very angry and would never recommend this place to anyone especially if youre of color.

Very friendly staff. Was able to get in without wait and they were very welcoming even though I arrived towards the end of their hours. Chose a basic pedicure but loved the huge variety of options they had for pedicures and manicures. Lots of really good color options in a variety of top brands. Loved the decor of the space — very pretty and relaxing. Offered a beverage right away. Though the pedicure was just their “basic” one, it was very thorough and they took their time and also gave a really nice leg and foot massage. Looking forward to coming back soon to try some of the fancier pedicure services. A nice addition to downtown DeKalb!

Very very unhappy I don’t know what’s the point of 20% off especially when they mess up your nails and still charge you for their mistakes I thought this shop would be better than the rest but No people really shouldn’t charge to do nails when your not good at it it’s tons of people who don’t even work in the shop constantly walking back and forth and some just sit and stare uncomfortably at you then start speaking a language that Americans don’t speak why would you speak in a language I can’t understand after I tell you I don’t like my nails it’s rude and unprofessional it’s a guy who works there who is really good at his job I’m no hater just being honest he’s really good and he could do my nails anytime but if he isn’t working I wouldn’t waste my money if you mess up someone’s nails you don’t still charge full price ridiculous! Yes it’s clean the shop is nice but let’s be honest if I’m paying for a service I expect to get what I pay for no shade being real I take my nails seriously even if you think I should pretend that my nails look good not even gonna post a picture because I’ll be embarrassing myself!

I absolutely LOVED this nail salon. As a hairdresser of 20+ years, I can be extremely picky!! I stopped in one Friday night and was beyond wowed!! The salon is clean, inviting, and they have such a huge assortment of colors. I would recommend to anyone needing any nail or pedicure services!!
