I thought that replacing my windows and doors was going to be a hassle but Florida impact made it a lot easier than I originally thought it would be. I was provided a quote and within no time a contract was signed and my items were ordered. As soon as the items were received the team at Florida impact reached out to scheduled my installation which was seamless, very happy with the service I got from them.

Scott Altman, the owner of Florida Impact Windows and Doors gave me a quote to replace all my windows in early January. After reviewing the five quotes I received, I decided to go with Florida Impact Windows and Doors. I gave him the 50% down payment at the end of January. I was informed that it would take 12 weeks to receive my windows and get them installed due to COVID production issues with PGT. It took 18 weeks to receive receive my windows. I gave them the additional 40% when they came to install my windows as per the contract. They were unable to install one of the glass sliding doors because they ordered the wrong size frame. They were also unable to install my entrance door because because one of the corners came chipped. They assured me that the replacements would come in quickly, yet here I am almost six weeks later and nothing. They blame everything on PGT, that all items are back ordered. I come to find out that they don’t even order the windows directly from PGT, they use another window company that orders from PGT, something that was never disclosed by the owner. They supposedly order these windows from M&P windows. Every time I call they tell me the person that is responsible for ordering material is not available, that they left the office early, that they are in a Zoom meeting, but they never get back to me. I called and texted the owner Scott Altman several times but he does not respond either. They figure they already have 90% of my money, so they could care less about finishing my job. They figure they can make more money out of other customers by partially installing their windows and getting their 40%, rather than finishing my Job and getting the remaining 10%. Please do yourself a favor and don’t use them. Very unprofessional company.

I needed to replace some very big and very old sliding glass doors. I got a ton of quotes (from some scary window companies). Florida Impact was easy to work with and their price was so much better than everyone else. They also did not try to sell me 1001 things that I did not need to jack up the price. Even when there were issues with manufacturing, this company never ghosted me or went incognito. They were so professional, their installation team was clean and friendly. The owners were onsite throughout the project. The best thing was that my house was not destroyed in the process. I am so glad I went with Matt and Florida Impact!

Nothing but a bunch of con artists. I requested a quote for 6 windows and 1 door. Price was a little high and out of my budget, so I decided to hold off on the door and 1 window and asked them to remove the two products. My plan was to do the entire house slowly in sections as I am paying cash. They have a policy that they will only install windows if its 5 or more, ok no problem. Once I received the second quote with the door and the bathroom window removed, all window prices magically went up by hundreds of dollars, thus only dropping the original quote amount by $1200 however it should have dropped by $2439. This means they added $1239 to the cost of the windows in the second quote to make up for the losses. These guys are con artists and use the bait the switch scam. If they are already trying to play me for a fool, I cannot imagine how the project would have gone. STAY AWAY YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED. See the two quotes below and compare yourself.

I chose this business based upon the fact that they had a high volume of impact window and door installations as recorded by the Coconut Creek Building Department. I also solicited estimates from two other high volume businesses. I chose Florida Impact Windows & Doors based ultimately on product (PGT) and price. Service was professional and straight forward with no surprises or drama. The installers were professional and efficient. I was somewhat dismayed with the $600 permit fee, but ultimately, the charge was not far off the actual costs of permitting and recording. I have upgrades planned for my homes entryway and would use Florida Impact again without hesitation.

This year we had Scott at Florida Impact Windows install PGT impact windows with low e coating through your entire house. The process takes a while so get started early. Florida impact was one of 5 quotes we got for the job. They beat the next closest price by thousands of dollars. Once we signed the contract Florida Impact Windows did everything. They even pulled the permits and scheduled all inspections.When the windows were installed, the installers were very nice, polite and neat. The cleaned up after themselves every day and kept us informed as to what was done and going to be done next. When the were done, I did a final walk through with the foremen and made sure everything was done. They did a fantastic job. I would highly recommend them.

All of the staff was very professional and very courteous from the very start of the project to the very end. Our project consisted of about 18 windows and We were told that the project would take about 2 1/2 days And they completed the job in 2 days. I have been very impressed with Florida Impact Windows and Doors. The work was extremely professional and they treated my home as if it was their own. We were told at contract signing (not in the initial quote) that the upper floor stucco of the house would have to be cut into to install the windows. Within two hours of contract signing we requested (via email, text and phone call) that that they hold off on the contract due to our fear of leaks. Took us six months working with lawyers and still this company was able to keep a portion of our money. We were also threatened with a lawsuit for lost wages if we went forward to try and get our money back through the court system. Before you sign, read the contract (see next paragraph) because you have no rights once you sign. The contract is structured so that you lose $4000 of your deposit right up front when you sign and change your mind.In the terms and conditions (back of contract #17), it states Cancellation fees on contract addendum still apply. In the contract addendum (see Canceling contracts after paperwork is signed), it is a long paragraph that basically says (shortened version) you owe $2000 for administrative fees plus $2000 for permit, drawings, architect and engineering work.

After shopping for impact windows for a few months and checking pricing and reputable companies I chose Florida Impact Windows & Doors. They have been in business for over 15 years and have a great staff that always answered all of my questions. They did a great job and protected all of my furniture with plastic during the installation.

Rep was at my house on Thursday, by Friday I got a quote which seemed very reasonable. I followed up with an additional question, which was answered promptly, so far everything seemed perfect. Called today (4 days later) to accept the quote and make a deposit (quote said it was good for 30 days), only to be told that the quote was a mistake, that I was send another quote (which I didnt receive), and they talked to me on the phone (which they did not) and the new quote is surprisingly 50% more expensive than the original one. Of course they refuse to honor the original quote and almost tried to blame me for a quote they send. Clearly not a company I would ever do business with or recommend to anyone.Added after company response: (1/29/2020)The review showed on google is incorrect, everything I stated in this review is factual that I can back up with evidence. Please do not call yourself a respectable company. The review is 100% correct, and the way you replied to it both on the phone and online makes me understand I got lucky not to engage in business with you.

My HOA arranged for Florida Impact Windows and Door to come and replace my front door. The job went well and actually under the estimated time. There was a minor issue I discovered later but it was handled quickly and professionally by Neka on the phone and Scott came out on time to take care of it. Thank you.

Brand new window cracked within 4 months. Another window leaked which caused us $25,000 to repair resultant mold damage. I called owner and emailed on many occasions. He never even bothered to respond. Another employee told me they would take care of broken window at no charge. They then refused. Today we found out another window is leaking. Stay away from this company.

We just had some WI does and French door installed by this company. Very easy process from scheduling an estimate to final inspection. Every appointment they showed up on time and was very honest with everything. Sent me estimates with different options and explained them well. Didnt try to up sell like other companies did. The install was very clean and quick. There was a problem that came up but they fixed it without question (not their fault, it was rotten rebar and concrete under a window). There was no question that they are completely reliable and reputable.

I had impact doors and windows replaced on my home built in 1960, this companies estimate was the best of 3 I had but more importantly I was comfortable with them! Quick and clean!

I signed my contract in August of 2018 for installation of 4 impact sliding glass windows thinking that we made the best decision based on the initial meeting and information we received. We had quotes from 4 different companies and went with FIWD. The job wasnt even started until December of 2018 and now it is January of 2019 and the job still isnt done!! The communication between the client (me) and the status of the job was nonexistent until I started reaching out to them... and I still didnt get a call back until my 3rd or 4th attempt to get some answers. Of course, the company still wants their money on time but I cant have a job finished on time... go figure. Disappointment is an understatement at this point. I would never ever recommend this company to anyone...

Florida Impact windows put our hurricane windows primarily for our two story windows in our living room where shutters would be impossible to handle. The price was reasonable and service was excellent.

Wooooow this place!!! Stay away!!! Not only have I gotten 5 estimates from other companies in the past week without any issues, but this company takes over a week and tells you every day youll have it tomorrow and I still never got it!!!! Dont bother sending it I would never do business with you!!! And then someone named Scott calls to harass you about a bad review!!!
