I currently have a membership thats 25.00 a month. When I joined. Its was only 1.00. When I called my credit card company to see why my card was over the limit, Youfit charged 49.99 on the 6th September and another 24.99 on the 8th of September. When I called the gym to speak to someone, he had no answers for me I asked what doi need to do to cancel my membership? He said come up here and pay a 10.00 fee. You knew the answer to that. Never again!!! I will be at the gym first thing Saturday morning about this.

Couldnt cancel my membership because the gym was closed because of the pandemic. I couldnt even call at the time. Now it is open again and they want to charge me for all of the time that the gym was closed. I refuse to pay for services that have not been rendered. There is not purpose in a corporate office when you cant even reach them OR GET THE ASSISTANCE YOU NEED. I pay $50 a month for 2 memberships. My partner has already scheduled THREE TRAINING SESSIONS AND EACH TIME THE PERSON IS NOT AVAILABLE ALTHOUGH THE TIME SLOTS WERE BOOKED FOR HIM. They dont have the courtesy to call you and inform you that the training is not available on said day! 3 different days, 3weeks straight and he has YET TO MEET WITH THE TRAINER. But that $50 certainly comes out my account every month. For a gym that filed a bankruptcy claim, ya sure doo know how to rob you guest of funds AND THEIR FUNDS! Charge a cancelation fee and all. Poor customer service. I can understand why many of my friends choose to gym at other locations.

I was approached by 2 members of Youfit location 8301 W Atlantic BlvdCoral Springs, FL 33071United States, stating that they had a deal going on for $1 for 30 days. All they did was charge me and add my name to a clipboard. Well 2 weeks later I’ve been charged $27. What?! I called and was told that it wasn’t 30 days but 2 weeks. AND that they are unable to refund me AND I also have to pay $10 to cancel. NO ONE told me anything regarding this. This company and everyone who works for it are FRAUDS and are SCAMMING people during this pandemic. $40 total that you are stealing from me. That’s 2-3 dinners... this is the worst company and needs to be shut down.

I have been a member at You Fit since 2009. I called the location in Deerfield Beach in May to ask them to freeze my account. They told me it was frozen indefinitely. I repeated it back to them. June was the only month I wasn’t charged. In July I got charged more than double my normal and I called back. They said my freeze fell off when they opened the gym back up, but told me it would be frozen again. In August I got charged again, so I called them back. I actually did receive a refund for August. They told me my account was frozen and don’t understand why it keeps falling off. In September I got charged yet again, which was more than I normally pay per month. When I called back the gym to see what is going on I was then notified that they never did put a freeze on my account. Whoever I spoke to looked through the notes on my account and said I had never requested a freeze because nothing was notated. Also she informed me that they aren’t offering a freeze on accounts anymore, but from the start that’s what I was told. This information is extremely misleading being that I was told it was indefinitely. “Until I’m comfortable with coming back in.” I called every single month stating that I wanted my account frozen and asking for a refund. I feel that it’s not my fault that the workers are incompetent and just because it wasn’t written in my notes, they are basically calling me a liar. Your employees need to be better educated on what the procedures are. Common sense would tell you regardless if they wrote it or not, I call monthly asking for a refund. After eleven years it is disheartening the way I was treated because I’m too scared to leave my house due to Covid. I have since cancelled my membership. I’m looking for a full refund of all the monthly charges accrued, kindly. I have written three letters to your corporate office yet this never gets resolved. When I call my local gym, they can’t help me.

Absolutely appalled at this gym company. I moved to New York and spoke on the phone with a representative who told me they would cancel my membership. And yet the charges kept coming on my card. I called again and they told me that you cant actually end your membership on the phone, only in person. How is this ethical at all? Am I supposed to fly in? I dont even know anyone in Florida who could act as my representative and go in to cancel my account (with covid this is even more impossible). Now Im planning out a lawsuit. Dont be like me, AVOID this gym company.

Truly disappointed in the customer service I received from a PAUL ROBERTS. Did not sympathize or care to understand my situation. I know its a tough world for alot of people right now but how my situation was handled was very bad form and unbecoming. Take the time to read the contract before signing. I feel the words they get you in on are different from the agreement you actually sign. Bad form. Youfit. Step it up.

Due to such trying times, I made the decision to cancel my gym membership. I was told by my local Youfit that I would need to come in 10 days prior to my bill date to cancel my membership and pay a $10 cancellation fee. I came in and did just that. A week later, I checked my credit card statement and saw that Youfit charged me for the month even though I had already cancelled the membership( this was in July ). They apologized and told me they would issue a refund (supposedly processed on July 25). I was told that I should receive the refund within a month. Since then (today is September 12) I have not received my refund. I have called several times and have come in person once to follow up on the refund. I keep getting the runaround that it’s still processing and that corporate is handling the matter. You guys were so quick to take the money out of my account which you weren’t supposed to but want to take forever to issue the refund? I had every hope that after this pandemic that I would resume my membership with your company, however, you guys are crooks! How can you all be so terrible in such times. I have been with your company for years but am completely turned off by such horrible service.I feel like the only way you all are going to address our concerns is if we take legal action.

I have been trying for weeks to get my membership canceled and my charges refunded. Please dont tell me that you are happy to help if I reach out on your phone number, email or social media. I have done all of that. I even sent a certified letter to your corporate office 2 weeks ago. When I call, I get rerouted to the local club.. 80% of the time I get no answer. On the rare occasion someone answers, I am basically told that i need to get in touch with corporate. I have yet to get a response from any of the channels that I am being directed to. It would be nice if someone would reach out to me personally to tell me this has been taken care of.Amazing that you responded so quickly to this post. Really? Your response is that I need to call you to speak about it one on one? Did you read this post or did you just respond like a bot? I dont understand how this gym is still open for business. Clearly I am not the only customer that is not happy. They are frauds. I had ask to have my account frozen during the months of covid that the gym WAS CLOSED. I have email proofs and all... They confirmed with me that it was frozen, but continued to charge my account. My gym (Gainesville, FL) closed in March and I was charged in April. I was told I would receive a free month when they reopened. I was charged my annual fee in July and when I called about it, the employee told me my account would stay frozen until I came in to workout. I even verified with her multiple times thats what she meant. Last week I was charged double and when I called it was apparently for June and July. Multiple times I asked to speak to the store manager and he wouldnt come to the phone and never called me back. The employee told me they would not be processing refunds even though the employee gave me the wrong information. I would have just come in to cancel if I was going to be charged without going to the gym. I have emailed, wrote on Twitter, and tried calling the 888 number and ironically I cant get in touch with anyone. All I want is a refund as Im unemployed for the unforeseeable future.

I had a very horrible experience. I was essentially robbed and the employees agreed and refused to refund any of the money I was charged. I received multiple charges on my account which could not be explained to me and then the employees refused to refund. They told me “contact corporate”, but when you call the corporate number, it’s routes you back to your home gym. I have never said this about a business, but I HATE youfit. Save your money and time. They have no regard for the pandemic. I was even told by an employee that they had to keep charging people to pay they’re employees. At least ask instead of taking the money I willfully. I’m disgusted and feel like crying because they destroyed my credit (I lost my job from the pandemic).

I joined because of instructors of group classes. I kept things going when they opened waiting. Zumba and spinning were not started. According to public records, PPP business loans were given to YouFit (YF) but instructors were not hired. Club staff were rehired and paid. Where is the money loaned by our government to YF for those instructors? They were recently finally called back but very few. I will not go back until this issue is addressed. I have called repeatedly and received no return phone calls. Many companies had done this shell game with government loans that do not have to be paid back, but not the entire division. The rooms were easiest to social distance. Every other gym didnt discriminate between the divisions of offerings to members. I am an employee of the header of this post, not speaking for, and do not represent the views of that company. I dont trust YF with my name.

Was charged while my account was frozen .. when I called I was told I had to come in ( they were closed due to CoVID ) ... in July 7th 2020, after reopening I was charged again. I immediately went in to cancel being that I shouldn’t have been charges because I didn’t unfreeze the account.... I was informed it could take up to 30 days to receive my refund. Nothing yet I’ve called numerous times, no manager is never available and I’m always asked for my name and number for a call back .. haven’t received one yet after call every week for a month.... it’s a shame the theft that’s going on with this company

Ive recently revised my review. Now that Ive been credited back and the gym is reopened I definitely like that its reopened and a Safeway. The structure is very good and I think while it might have taken them a while to reopen they have done so responsibly and I applaud them for it. I previously left a bad review due to being charged while the gym was closed but I was contacted via email and and had the account Frozen and now Im being credited back what I was charged when the gym was closed and I am very happy.

Ive been a member for a few years in Port Charlotte FL, small club, had to wait frequently for the machine I wanted to use, not many amenities but it was close for quick workouts. They closed for the pandemic but continued to charge me the monthly fee and refused a refund. Ive since moved away from the area and they refuse to cancel my membership unless I come in person which I couldnt do because they were closed and now would be a 2,000 mile road trip. They continue to charge my CC. So now I am arguing with the credit card company and filing a complaint. The headquarters is in FL so thats appropriate for a Micky Mouse operation. I was lied to at signup by youfit agents who visited by workplace, I explained my medical limitations and was told that a program would be designed for me it never happened, I was told to visit the location in North Lauderdale to look around I did but there is no equipment there that I can use, I cannot grip with my right hand and I have ligament and bone spur issues in my feet I called to cancel membership was told to pay $10 covid closure came and I am still paying $23.53 a month, even during the closure money was still coming out of my account. I have never used your facility and since no one at the location will assist in cancelling this membership then someone from corporate can or I may be forced to seek legal remedy

I have called the corporate number at least 30 times to avoid going in to my local gym. I have immunocompromised family, and I’m risking them to get my hard earned money back when I canceled 4 months ago! Don’t bother calling their corporate number either. When you call it hangs up on you if you stay on the line. It NEVER allows you to talk to anyone besides your local gyms who tell you to call this number. I feel so fooled to have left Plant Fitness to deal with this level of unprofessionalism. How can anyone get away with robbing so many people of their money?? I hope to find more places to warn people of this before they end up like me and the other angry customers on this forum.

I joined Youfit in N.Dallas on December 2019, I cancelled my membership at LA Fitness in order to join Youfit. I loved the location, it was never crowded and the staff was friendly. In March I paid my yearly maintenance fee of $54.11. On April 10, 2020, the club shut down due to the Pandemic. On May 19, 2020, I get an email stating the location I attended was going to be permanent shut down on May 17, 2020. The email stated I could go to another locations which was much farther that were I currently reside. I cancelled my membership, emailed Youfit asking for my yearly $54.11 to be refunded, and crickets. Never heard from them again. Never would I join this gym again if I had the chance to, due to the lack of communication in refunding my money. Gym members be aware.

Make every effort to avoid giving these people the authorization to withdraw money from your bank automatically for membership, it would be very difficult to stop them afterwards. Customer service was close to nonexistent prior to Covid and now it’s like their just out of business and don’t even answer the phone at the corporate office 800 #.

Hi my home gym is at the North Lauderdale, Florida location and I am very disappointed in how I have been handled. My account was charged $53.49. When I tried calling in March and April to cancel my account due to COVID I got no response. I Finally got someone in May which it seem was routed to his personal phone (I totally understood with Covid). I spoke with the gentleman about canceling my account and also about the charges for the months that COVID was down and I wasn’t able to get through to cancel to stop charges. He told me I have to wait to speak with someone once it was opened again and they’d refund those outstanding charges, but what he could do was freeze my account until they opened up to resolve any issues. Well, here comes Today I went to check my account and I was charged an additional $53.49 to my Bank account which messes up my account. Since Covid,My husband And I have lost a significant drop in our income. When I called The office and spoke with the lady she explained that the charges were because it opened back up and now they are updating the charges. I explained that no my account was suspended until I gave them authorization again because of my previous conversation with the guy I spoke with in May. She said no my account was unfrozen and those are the charges. I requested to speak with the manager. I told him what occurred with my account being charged and i was told it wouldn’t be. He told me it was an annual fee in April and it wasn’t charged due to Covid but now it has and he wasn’t refunding me. Didn’t even get the opportunity to speak about it or ask why I wasn’t given the opportunity to cancel in April or anything because The phone line went silence and I keep saying hello and I realize he hung up on me.What kind of disservice and treatment is that to a customer. I just need my refund. I didn’t even had the opportunity to talk about the month of April, May charges to be refunded because of it being closed, Covid and not being able to speak with someone when I tried calling to cancel. My total amount to be refunded is 99 for April, May mo they charges and the $53.49 that was charged. I’m not even asking for the overdraft fee. I’m just asking you as a company to be fair. I have emailed, called the corporate office number and no help. I am not big in leaving 1 star reviews because I also have a business and I know how important it is. I also know that if I have an unhappy customer I’d want the opportunity to fix that before they post a bad review. I just want my refund. I requested a callback from a manager to resolve an issue with a membership I hadnt used in 6 months. When I got a call back from PAUL ROBERTS, he never allowed me to speak, interrupted me repeatedly, and spoke to me in a condescending manner. Praise god you never have to deal with an unintended discrepancy with this company and their people or theyll take advantage of you with their contract while belittling you over the phone.I do wish to reiterate that dealing with Paul Roberts was hands down the worse customer service experience Ive dealt with as a customer my whole life. Being in the customer service industry myself this has entered my top 5 most terrible customer service experiences ever. All of his interactions should be audited and he should be disciplined appropriately for the manner in which he speaks to his clients.

Right now, customer service is non-existent. I have a dispute with a trainer who was out of line and assistance is not available at the local level.Please think twice prior to being sold on a training package. The training who was assigned to me was rude and very pushy. I recovering from a surgery and they are pushing me to schedule my 4 pre-paid training sessions or lose them. I requested a refund and they said no refunds. The manager of the Oakwood Plaza facility is the one who signed me up and knew and had just recently had surgery never said anything about my pre-paid sessions having an expiration date.The trainer was rude, pushy, and would not let me speak.I am willing to maintain the prepaid membership but no longer want to deal with their trainers. They still wont refund.Trying to reach corporate to see if they care how their customers are being treated and care is they retain customers.I will keep you informed.

I am a member at a competing gym but decided to check out Youfit. There are a couple of locations very convenient to my place of employment. (Palmetto Park and Towne Center Mall). I was extremely disappointed in the old and rusted equipment. The machines and racks were packed together so tightly it was awkward and uncomfortable to enjoy my workout. I was asked at one location how many more sets I was doing on 1 machine (that was a first and awkward). I just got off the machine. I only like 1 of the 3 locations but it doesn’t change the reason why I was looking for a new membership because it is near my home and the other gym I currently use. I would have signed up if you updated, maintained the equipment and chose more appropriate locations. I suspect others have the same opinion because my husband attended 1 with me and he was more disappointed than I in the gym.

I received a call from PAUL ROBERTS, who I read about in a few comments here.THEEE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EXPERIENCE EVER! I notified the club that I was terminating my membership and they wanted to charge me $42.59 and I sent a letter to corporate to see I was able to get it waived and they told me that it was never received. REALLY????.My account was going to collections, but I was notified by ONLY a text message that I had to make a payment of $113 asap. REALLYYYY??? How did they come up with this amount??? (A GREAT QUESTION for them. After all, I had to pay a cancellation fee of 42.59 and my account was not sent to collections....ANYWAYS..... STAY AWAY IF YOU VALUE YOUR MONEY. Well Im an engineer and I used to go to Youfit, Okeechobee and Military, I stopped attending as the facilities werent clean and the staff didnt exactly do the job. After a few months of doing my own exercise plan I wanted to cancel my membership and as last time, the employees remain totally incompetent. I understood that I couldnt cancel it as my billing was already pending, so I waited a week to settle that bill and then cancel my membership, (and this is where the employees are very poorly trained incompetent) how Kyle advised me.But 3 days after his advice I was charged $43, I charge that Kyle did not inform me that it would happen before my monthly payment (why not inform me? I inform myself of my week-to-week charge but the one approaching in 3 days did not?).Then, 2 days after $43 they made $24.99 of my monthly fee.. it was totally different from what I explain. to be able to cancel membership pay $67. And finally I went to cancel my membership and the “”manager”” Kevin was apparently leaving and his treatment was very hasty, as if wanting to get rid of the problem quickly, he did not really want to HELP ME (as he repeatedly told me out loud), instead, he said that there is no corporation phone number and that a refund would not be made (when Kevin blames it, by training as badly employees as Kyle who do not give accurate information)And Im still waiting for my refund for the incompetence, inefficiency and job ineptitude of some managers.

If it were possible to get give them negative stars I would.I broke my ankle 6 months ago. I called my gym explained to them the situation at that time. They said it was NOT possible to cancel my account over the phone. I needed to come in!Anyway, I thought what the hell I’ll get better soon and now 6 months later I’m not better but am able to get a round a little bit. So I went to cancel my account. Not only did they charge me an annual fee of $42 but they also charged me $10 cancellation fee and told me that despite the fact that I’m canceling my account before the charge for next month they are still going to charge me a monthly $20 fee.So I called “corporate” office. Which was a joke. I spoke a women who claimed she couldn’t transfer to me to customer service (apparently there’s only 1 representatives) because she was in a meeting. So she transferred me to the billing department. Which is another joke. I spoke a Charles who basically told me that there is nothing that can be done. When I asked to speak to a manager, he was “busy” with another call.Basically they charged me a total of $72 for canceling my account.Good luck getting a hold of anyone who can help you.They are quick to take your money but no one to help you get a refund when it’s necessary. It cost $10 to do so and you have a small window to do it in.3. All of the supplements they sell are way over priced. YouFit stole our money for over 4 months after submitting our cancellation for training. They promised to correct the issue each time we complained and promised a refund. Now they said we didnt complete paper work correctly. We basically went in every month to ask why we were continuing to be charged. Not one person was adept enough to correct the issue or point out there there was an issue with the submission they submitted on our behalf to their system after 4 months of charges. After months of this ridiculous experience Im out $480 dollars and nothing to show for it. Neither their management or training staff is properly trained to handle their jobs at the minimum competency. Aside from the fact that they stole our money, their trainer actually did not modify my daughter training routine after we explained to her that she had knee issues and my daughter actually ended up popping her knee from the rigorous training sessions. Im aware that sometimes institutions might have a bad employee and its wrong to judge the company as whole, but this is not the case for Youfit, this place is really poorly run, the staff is not properly trained and worst of all they take your money. This membership is a rip off. I currently re-enrolled my member ship and was advised I would only have to pay $68, after reviewing my bank account, I was charged an additional $160 WITHOUT consent. I had cancelled my membership in April due to health reasons and now I just wanted to enroll for gym use. This has been the worst customer service experience ever!!

This company is so unprofessional and shouldnt even get 1 star. We have been BATTLING Youfit for 8 months! They harass us by phone calls and texts. They clearly cant read the notes on their computer and have had several employees call for payment when we cancelled our trainer, in writing, over the phone and in person. Total harrassment 2-3 times a week. They are not a well organized or an intelligent company. RUN, literally to a different gym!!

I have long been a member of Youfit, and am finding that I am having a difficult time finding answers to my concerns that have cropped up of late. First off - there is not a manager at the Deerfield facility when I am there in the mornings. I can verbalize to the employees behind the front desk, but never know if that goes any further. If the gym is open, there SHOULD DEFINITELY be a manager available to address my concerns!!!I spend time each day on the stationery bike watching TV while I peddle😊! For a while now, I (and other guests) have been unable to watch or listen to CNN. We spoke to an employee two days ago, but nothing has changed as of this morning. This incident supports my concerns about the presence of a manager!!! Why am I suddenly unable to listen to CNN??? BTW - Fox News is available!!!

They are probably the worst company Ive ever dealt with. Not only did they charge me to cancel, but they also charged me AFTER I had already cancelled. I have called and left messages to no avail. The folks in the actual location blame corporate and corporate is nowhere to be found. They wont return emails nor phone calls.

Horrible.....charge more charges to close membership than open. Employee was prejudicial to a Non-christian as he read his bible at work in plain view and found more hidden charges when I told him I found it offensive. Complained to Corporate and was informed it was my problem. Stay away period but even more so if you are Non-christian they are very prejudiced and should be shut down.

SCAM ALERT: This business is not trustworthy! My family purchased personal training sessions at a YouFit location in Tampa, but then multiple sessions “expired” for no apparent reason even though we were training there regularly. We have tried to get the sessions back but we have received no response from YouFit. Stay away from YouFit health clubs!

I have been a member of youfit health club for several years. Now I relocated to North Carolina, charlotte. Not only there is no Youfit in here but you guys make it hard for me to cancel my membership. How can you ask me to bring $10 in person to cancel my plan when you can withdraw it from my account the same way you taking your payments? .I even propose to have a relative living ing Louisiana to bring that cancellation fee while I confirm my identity but no, the guy in the phone is telling that it is impossible. This is bad customer service and I am not and never recommend you fit to anyone. Bad customer service. Yes its easy to take the money from my account but impossible to take my cancellation fee.

I had a problem with my subscription with YouCoach. Which I had planned to finish  after three months and I had to pay another month and a half for not cancelling on time, although nobody explain to me verbally  at that time when I  make my contract with your company, which seems to be very disrespectful. But as a good and responsible client, I paid another month and a half of training, which represented $360 with which I had other plans and today, August 28, 2018 (Since I have the payment automatically) your company made another withdraw from my account which was not expected, since the contract was closed and I have a letter that proved it, and the last payment was made personally on August 21.Today when I called the Youfit office were i used to go at 7070 Coral Way, Miami, FL 33155, I spoke with Janet (YouCoach Manager) who told me that it was a system error.This system error cost me $35 dollars of withdrawn and I find myself without money in my bank account. It is a total lack of respect for your clients, especially because of the cold way in which she spoke to me. How are you going to allow a system error to play with the economy and the money of your customers? If YouFit is so severe with the fulfillment of its contract, why is not it at the time of withdrawing money from the account of a person who trusted Youfit in the first place?Its very questionable the way YouFit  handle their problems, there is not a phone to call your corporation, and any of your representatives in the clubs, like Janet, does not have any kind of sensitivity with a topic like this, she not even gave me and apology for what happened. Since my account is in zero and I have been charged a penalty of $35 dollars,from YouFit system error.

I am a member at Youfit Wellington Fl, since Nov.6th the single bathroom stall has been out of order . The date today is Dec 15th still out of order, called corporate Dec 5th said there waiting on a part . There is an Ace hardware in the same plaza, and a Home Depot close also . It’s been 6 weeks and nothing done this is beyond pathetic, any suggestions.
