Just signed me and my kids up for a membership big thanks to Robert he made that experience wonderful very kind and knowledgeable !!!!!! Thanks again Robert!!!!!
Clean & convenient. Dated equipment.
Cj the lifeguard is super amazing!!! It makes swimming with my toddler so much more comfortable.
I just love to workout and swim here. Very clean. nice changing rooms. very friendly and helpful
The YMCA is always a fantastic place for people of all ages, especially children. Apply for a membership, its worth it. Go for a swim, lift weights, do cardio, play racquetball, shoot hoops, do it all!
This facility just had a lot of updates and upgrades. I was surprised to find that the locker rooms have been upgraded, lots of new Cybex gear in the fitness center. The pool area seems twice as bright with the new LED lighting. I would recommend visiting to see the changes for yourself and get active!
My favorite YMCA mainly because the staff are outstanding. I havent been overwhelmed with tons of people in the cardio area. A great pool too.
Signed up for membership Tuesday. Its Wednesday and I am going in tomorrow to cancel it! The groups of kids allowed to hang out in the front lobby are out of control, loud, confrontational, and mock people going in and out of the facility including myself and my son! The staff says NOTHING 95% of the time and the other 5% they say something to the tone of settle down guys or knock it off only to have them right back at it 30 seconds later. And I have been told by my son and others that it is this way all the time. Bottom line this facility is ran very poorly. I am gladly keeping my Planet Fitness membership and dropping this asap!
Love it, staff is friendly and one of the younger girls up front that starts with a M I think maybe myah she is super sweet and knowledgeable, thank you for everything you all do!!
Most of the life guards are annoying
The work out room is smaller so doesnt have some machines like the nu-step which I really like, but it has a great atmosphere, and great customer service Brody and
A much needed facility.Family changing/shower areas could be cleaner... usually smell of mildew or urine. Upkeep is often a pace behind, but I feel for them. Members trash the place of late... drinking fountains, dryers, pool and ping-pong tables... etc. At times it feels like it is being used as a kid dump... Its safe for the kids, but not for the facilities if the youth arent taught consideration and respect.Nuf said.
Pool was not clear and I bonked my head doing a flip turn
The staff here are not trained properly or even at all. They are very ignorant towards members and stating that there are STATE laws that prevent you from wearing shoes or using phones inside the YMCA Maybe if the managers or directors would be more involved and not hiding in an office it might run a lot more smoother and the staff were trained in not telling lies to members. HORRIBLE PLACE to send your kid or kids in my opinion. Make up some more laws that do not exist.
First Negative Comment. For someone who pays regular price, I expected this gym to be more updated. But since this is close to home this is where I have to go unless I want to drive 10 miles to go to a nicer YMCA.Second Negative Comment. I cant count the times the kids hanging around the pool tables make fun of the adults walking in the doors. Me being one of them...Isnt there a way to get these kids to a daycare away from people there trying to work out? Its uncomfortable & makes me think about canceling my membership.
For this YMCA to be any larger City it appeared as if it were in a very small town with very little money to sustain it. The facility overall was very tiny the weights and the cardio machines were all on top of each other in one room. A few of the treadmills definitely need some repair. I was visiting from out of town on a one-day trip and post-workout I asked where the towels were and was told they do not provide towel service. So I improvised and dried off with paper towels. The showers were cold even after running them for a while. The floors of the shower were full of dirt and grime as if they hadnt been cleaned in a while.
This is my second home. Facility features a well equipped (but slightly cramped) cardio & weight room, two racquetball courts, full-size 8-lane swimming pool, multipurpose fitness room and gymnasium with two full-size basketball courts. The staff is friendly, and Lewis is a shining face in the morning that recognizes almost every member. The only reason I give it a four-star rating instead of a five-star is because the Scott County YMCA needs to upgrade this facility to match the offerings at Bettendorf. For the quantity of people and area it serves, theres absolutely no reason that it shouldnt have the same, or better, offerings when it comes to child watch, size of weight room, etc.
Friendly/knowledgeable staff, well-maintained facility, and great family programs.
Teaching kids a good way of life.
Facility is not clean and they expect adults to not wear shoes in the pool area- even if they are not the ones using the pool. Some still wore shoes despite staff claiming they notified everyone of the rule. I felt very uncomfortable walking barefoot around the dirty pool area/family locker rooms for my childs swim lesson. This rule was not communicated to members ahead of time. Staff did not handle this well. Very dissatisfied.
Nice place the kids loved it, we love it cause the family price was 4 for $20
No surveillance anywhere in the entire facility. No one is allowed in the steam room or sauna during swim practice or meets. Staff is nice, but the facilities are in dire need of updates.
It’s okay, they’re always closing the daycare so I drive and get ready with four kids to come and find out that their daycare is closed for the day... happens WAY to often, or the daycare will close early just because with no explaining such a hassle...
Great pool very cold tho
Great place for swim lessons
Just about $60 a month $700 a year for 2 adults and an infant. Over priceced. The average American family doesnt have that kind of money. Staff is friendly but not helpful or understanding.
Great place to exercise and meet new friends
Has everything you need to workout or play ball. Good organization!
I just wish there was a bike rack I have a son who would like to ride his bike up there but there is no place to keep it. I’m surprised being that it is the YMCA.... I hope you get one very soon.
Great place to work out .
Have everything you want and they work off your income.
Great place to spend after school or just to volunteer
Large facility very nice great staff
Love it ! The staff is friendly.
Great place to work out
Very clean and good staff
It doesnt have enough weight room space or workout equipment.
Great place for swimming
The lifeguard was letting all the kids jump off the diving board today however when i (a paying member) went to use it he told me to get off
Has a nice steam room
Nice work out place
I needed that and need to go back......lol
Love what it stands for.
Not as clean as the west y but overall decent
Great people there
Gym is small and crowded at times
It’s a gym
