This Planet Fitness is much nicer and larger than the one in Moline. They have lots of machines and plenty of services available. Staff members are always friendly and welcoming.

I have never been to a gym that is so clean and so well maintained. They do get familiar with your face but too many people in and out to remember your name. Totally ok with that given the cleanliness though

I went in there to sign my membership back up and the young man who helped me, I believe his name was mitchel, was very helpful. He helped me get signed back up and showed me around. The rest of the staff also seemed very kind. I’m excited to come back and workout!

I originally signed up at another planet fitness but always come to this location. The facility is clean, the machines are up to date, and the staff is extremely friendly. They always seem energetic and excited to help. By far the best location in the area!

Planet fitness needs to update their membership stuff. Not everyone has a bank account that get direct deposit.Another thing is that the barcodes on the Machines don’t work so if you want to use the app to track your workout you have to manually put it into the app.

Most disrespectful staff. I only went here once and they did not even try and talk to me about becoming a member because they were too busy chatting at the counter with each other. They did not try and sell the business. We did not receive a warm welcome or respect in any way. I will not be joining- go to anytime fitness or your local ymca if you want to travel or be welcomed in a friendly and respectful manner

Great facility in regards to equipment. Not a fan of some of their policies though. My co-worker and I started working out there. I see him 5 days a week and we hangout on weekends. Just friends—no monetary exchange—but I’m slower than him so he’d wait for me to get done with machines and spot me. I’d ask him if my forms right because I’m inexperienced...we got “in trouble” with Planet Fitness. Because they have their own trainers friends can only “Work out together and tell one another what they are doing ‘wrong,’ coaching is for their trainers.”

Planet Fitness would be the Dollar General of gyms, except you pay $40 to join, $40 to unjoin, $40 yearly on your anniversary, and $10 every month in between. Join a local outfit, get better equipment, and support your community.

Always a good workout for low price. Hydromassage tables are amazing.

The staff was wonderful. They helped me join today and then showed me around. Already have a trainer. The massage chair is great. Looking forward to my first class tomorrow with my trainer

I like this gym except for the young man with platinum blonde hair who works there is very rude and I believe is sexist. There has been a few times I forgot my mask (why do we even need them when no one wears them working out?) and he rudely yells “um mask?!” But then I noticed a few times there have been other men walking in, even once he was talking to one, and they didn’t have their mask on. So why do I, a female, need to put mine on just to scan my phone?! No one else who works here has an issue when I don’t wear mine initially upon entrance...

I originally just got a day pass, came back the next day, and signed up for the Black Card membership. I actually have free access to a gym that is not even five minutes from my residence. I happily pay and drive the distance to come to the Davenport Planet Fitness.The gym is spacious, clean, and climate controlled. The staff is always very friendly and professional. Any request I make is handled quickly and with courtesy. The entire staff does a great job. The equipment is new and well maintained. The variety of equipment is top notch with plenty of elbow room. If you’re looking to join a gym in the Quad Cities, I strongly recommend it be this one.

Super clean place not to busy friendly staff definitely worth another visit when Im out this way.

The new location is terrible. The parking lot is horrible; cars are super close together and you can’t even park far away because those spots are filled too. It’s in a crowded area with other businesses and is very inconvenient. I don’t feel the cleaning products/spray provided is actually disinfecting germs. I bring my own clorox wipes because I don’t trust the cleaning products provided. Also, some of the machines cup holders and other areas are gross and don’t look like they’ve ever been cleaned throughly by staff. Some staff are friendly and some are not. I don’t like going to Planet Fitness weekends because the person working is not very friendly. It’s very cheap for unlimited working out and tanning, so I guess you pay for what you get that’s why I put up with it.

A good planet fitness set up with a very open floor plan. The staff is very friendly and everything is kept in proper working order. a very comfortable black VIP member card area with relaxing spa music and two massage chairs and to massage beds. Machines never stay broken down for more than a day if they ever do break down.

Decent gym, a bit too casual for my liking. Lol I thought Id get a lunk alert for asking why theres no squat racks but I d I didnt. Just not my style gym.

The facility was clean, practiced social distancing, had sanitizers for the equipment, and an awesome PF black card holders VIP area. Glad I joined

So I just left Planet Fitness and on my way out there was an older gentleman, probably in his 70s, who I got to chatting with. A worker came up after a few minutes trying to usher me out and apologized for the man “trapping me” and they have apparently had complaints of this man being inappropriate to other members. All I’m thinking to myself is this man was not inappropriate to me at all. He’s old and lonely and talking to people at the gym might be his only social interaction at all. I tried to call and explain this to a manager (in a very polite manner) as well as expressing my appreciation for the girl who walked me out. I also expressed that I am not aware of how he was inappropriate to other members, but again that it was just a normal conversation. Unfortunately i was left with attitude and hostility from this manager. Customer service is extremely important. She didn’t even bother thanking me for my input. I’m left feeling a bit saddened for not only this older man but my input as a member of this gym.

I like this place, except when its CLOSED!AHHH!!!Im from out of town where its usually 24/7 and Im looking on the times open based on Googles overview and it says it closes at 9 PM(its almost 10 PM on a Friday night). Fair enough, might have helped a bit to have read it beforehand, maybe, BUT THE SIGN SAYS 24/5. It should be open then, right???Anyways 4 stars for the false sign on that window.Sigh* I guess Ill just go to Hy-Vee and get a gallon of ice cream. Youll never abandon me, cookies n cream. 😂

Dont give these people your bank information. Even when you try to cancel before your next payment date they still charge you for the upcoming month. They also force withdraws from your bank and can cause overdraft fees up to $35 plus the cost of the membership. There are far better gyms for the same price that will just take a debit card and suspend your account if it doesnt go through so you wont get any fees. Going through these reviews and seeing the person replying to all the people who have problems shows they have zero control over these locations and that they are ran terribly. How can someone complain about the person running this location if youre telling them to go talk to the person they are complaing about? Get it together PF. What youre doing is not right.

Best tanning package in town! Very good quality beds. Location is a little far west of town. Gets a little crowded for squat racks and free weights. They should have a daycare program. Overall great environment. Friendly staff. Great music. And top notch new equipment.

Ive been going here for about a month and I have had no issues. Very friendly and helpful staff. The equipment is clean and up to date. The mens bathroom is well kept and the lockers are decent. I like the fact that I can work out, get a chair massage, and get a tan all in the same place.

Nice, Open, Clean Gym with a super-friendly staff, who are always ready to help you.... whether with a demo of the workout machines...to using their bolt cutter to help when you have lost the keys to your locker😬. It’s a great value, low monthly payments, and you get so much for your money: Large Variety of Machines, Stairs, Stretching Classes, Tanning beds and Uprights’, Clean Showers and Large Locker Rooms. Also get to use the Massage Chairs and Massage Beds! And yes, they sell water if you forget yours! 👍🏼👍🏼

This Planet Fitness has the friendliest staff; theyre helpful and knowledgeable.I found this location a little muggy, but Im visiting so it might be a one off in the ventilation system that is getting fixed.The equipment is all the typical PF machines and theyre all in good repair and clean.I love the PF travel benefits and appreciate the warm welcome and great workout when Im traveling for business.

(Davenport, IA) clean and plenty of equipment my only qualm is that there is no proper squat racks theres several smith racks but one cant properly deadlift in a smith rack :/ 5 stars if you dont want/need a real rack

HUGE pothole in the entrance to the parking lot. The whole place needs swept, the shower took 3 minutes to get warm, and (after walking around to look myself) when I asked an employee where the water fountain was they rudely pointed to the far back of the building at the only water fountain and then turned back to talk with the other employees standing behind the front desk.

Absolutely horrible customer service, Leah ( if thats how you spell it as she would not spell it for me), i cancelled my membership due to moving months ago, and i called and asked what was going on because i cancelled it, and she called me a liar without actually using that word, because their employee failed to put my cancellation form in the system. When asked for the corporate number she informed me i can look it up however they are independently owned. This is the worst gym and customer service i have ever gotten ANYWHERE ...... She informed me she had been manager for 4 years and was not worried about one person giving bad feedback.

Love the staff. Michael was awesome about showing me how to use the treads and smiles a lot (important).Merideth was amazing at showing me techniques for stretching and what I needed to do to meet my goals.Great experience!! Never had a hydro massage til yesterday and it was FANTABULOUS!!!

Overall good. Can get really really busy and I frequently have problems finding free weights as many people are keeping the weights with them for a long period of time. Also one ANNOYING thing is no paper towels in the bathrooms. How can someone clean their face or nose or other parts of body without paper. If the purpose is saving trees then why is there paper towel dispensers throughout other parts of the gym. Massaging area need coat hangers. Equipment is new and plenty of cardio machines.

Easy to sign up, lots of equipment, low cost. people keep to themselves. the paper towels are cheap and the spray bottles seem to contain nothing more than water--but I am not 100% on that---if there is any cleaning solution its really dilute. otherwise, a good enough place to work out on machines.Got a ton of emails requesting public feedback/reviews for them---very annoying.

The staff, while friendly, are incredibly uninformed on how the business aspect of Planet Fitness. I had trouble with my payment schedule and asked multiple associates for help. Nobody could give me consistent and accurate answers. There are far better gyms in the area, dont waste your time here.

To be fair they are getting back right from the pandemic AND the derecho! Im sure they will be great in fire time!

I’m from out of town... the machines are super old and junk. And way to close together. Kept rubbing on people working out on either side. Tanning bed had burnt out bulbs and a bad fan. Locker room was a wreck. Employee at the desk was rude and nonchalant. EDIT: went twice and it was worse the second day. Machines are in bad shape and employees need a serious attitude improvement.

Clean facility. Lots of space and options for working out. Parking lot is usually quite full.

Cleanest gym in quad cities.

Have been having issues making it out there to workout due to schedule, surgery,and down to one car between my boyfriend and I & both working full time.Its been about 7 months since Ive been back & noticed that my membership had not been paid during those 7 months. I was still under active status which meant I had owed a decent chunk of change that was past due. That amount discouraged me from continuing my membership. The female manager was so helpful! I am grateful for her customer service. I paid them what I had on me and she helped restore my membership to good standing. I am ecstatic to be able to return to my daily gym routine finally.

I am not a member here, but I did come and do a screening for our clinic recently. The reason I am doing a review is because I had such a great experience with the staff. The staff were very helpful, attentive and friendly. This doesnt happen everywhere we go, I just came from a fitness center that was not helpful, not attentive and unfriendly. I just wanted to recognize a great fitness center!!

Sign on the door says 24/5 weekends 7am-7pm....but thats a total lie. They close at 9pm Fridays, 7pm Saturdays, and 7pm sundays. TAKE YOUR LYING SIGN DOWN.

This is a nice place to go, if you are just starting out, or you already know what you need to do. Very clean, and the equipment is kept up very well. They say there is unlimited training, but their training usually only includes basic instructions on how to use things. But, for the price, I think it is a great value.

Machines broke down for weeks in black card area. I pay extra for that. Get off your wallet and fix them. I PAY to have access to that area. Things dont change Im canceling. Paper towels to clean machines out. Gal at desk is rude!! Come on.

I would pay their price for the message chairs alone.

I enjoy planet fitness. Theres plenty of equipment and you can always get a turn.. Also the classes are great, Krista is a great trainer! I do not like the fact that theres no bench press, and the classes only run in the mornings every other day and I work first shift so I miss class opportunities often because of the schedule. The classes pair muscles together that a weight trainer wouldnt probably pair together and thats weird to me.In the end I was going to only keep my membership for 2 months and Ive decided to stay longer, I enjoy it there and cant beat the price, and i can bring a friend 🤙

Im from out of town and I love planet fitness I think its a great place and typically nice employees. So being my first time here the place looks very nice from the outside. So Im thinking positive vibes. I first walk in the employees are talking amongst themselves didnt even acknowledge my presence. They actually gave me a weird look. All I was trying to do was scan in so I could go along with my workout and my day. I had to ask one of the employees which scanner to scan in because none of them were assisting me. So I brushed it off and proceeded to the locked room. I drop off my belongings in my locker and proceed to look for a weight scale. As I mosey around Im not seeing one. There was an employee in here cleaning the floors and once again I get a weird look from him because Im disturbing his music. I asked him if he knew where the scale was. The only response I got from the employee was Na and he continued to put his ear buds in and ignore me. At this point Im already dissatisfied. So i head out to the weights and the smith machines were disgusting. Ive never seen the floors around the machine that dirty ever. There was hair dirt dust bunnies. All awhile the employees are sitting at the front desk talking amongst themselves. Im highly dissatisfied and dont want to come back here ever again.

Great atmosphere

My daughter and niece go and they like it. So i thought why not. I will go check it out and see what there is to see. I dont know if I was having a bad day or what but my husband was with me checking it out also. So maybe it was the person showing us around and explaining the rules, but it just seemed alittle complicated to me. I was also trying to sign my 75 year old mother up so she could get alittle exercise ( she was out of town at the time that was maga complicated). So all in all i will look for someplace that is not so difficult to work with, even if I have to pay just alittle more for it.

I was a member here three years ago and loved the friendly staff. After coming back i get dirty looks and no acknowledgement when I enter or leave. If you want a judge free zone make sure you dont mind getting mean mugged by rude staff with a dirty look on their faces. If you can crack a smile this shouldnt be the place to work at. I dont feel welcomed like I use to anymore and will be looking for a new gym when my membership ends. Had a incident where I locked my keys in my locker and the rude staff worker said she couldnt get it opened and just stated at me with a blank face. Like okay? Now what? No keys no clothes to my locker and Im just out of luck? Thanks!

Big facility, nice staff and never have to wait for a machine BUT the machines are on the worn-out side. The knobs to add extra weight cause the machines to squeak and you can hardly move it. The waste of paper towel is enormous...should think of hand towels and a washer/dryer its much more eco-friendly.

My one year date was June 29th. They told me when I called that if I didnt want to pay a cancellation fee that I couldnt cancel until June 29th and I had to do it in person. I got a notification from my bank today July 1st stating that my account was negative. When I checked the gym took out its annual fee without any warning. I cancelled the membership today and they wont refund the annual fee even though I wont be there another year. Really sad and mad cause thats money I didnt have and now Im gonna have to pay a fee to my bank for being negative. I should have just paid the $62 early cancellation fee cause they ended up getting their money anyway.

I have been a black card member for years and they have everything you can possibly need in a gym for 20 buck a month. the staff is a lot of fun too.

One of the worst customer service out there. I do not recommend Planet Fitness for anyone. I have been trying to cancel my family’s members membership since March and sent out 3 certified mails that they received since April. My family memeber has stopped coming to PL since Febrary 2018. Every month, they still take out $42.87 from my account for the past 6 months and yearly annual fee of $41.73. I have called and talked to several managers and said they will get it resolve and never have. I have called about 5 times and left a message with Michael (the most recent manager) staff to have him give me a call and he never did. Finally, I was able to catch him one day and he was unaware of the situation. Michael said that PF has gone through managers whom has left so that must be why my account was not resolved. All in all, they are trying to avoid the situation and make any excuse and make it harder to cancel and refund the amount..
