I recently had a great experience with Mavis Tire and Brakes in Daphne AL. I had to have my work van serviced due to a frozen rear brake caliper.Being new to the area and having already used Mavis in the past up in New England, I called them over in Daphne. I figured I had to make an appointment, however Rick told me that they would take care of it for me the same day. This was very important to me because i make my living in my work van as a painting contractor. So i dropped off the van at noon. John called me later that day to tell me the van was ready. I picked up my van later that day completely serviced. The next day my power window was giving me problems as it had been for a while. So I stopped-in while driving by Mavis and they ordered the window relay switch and had it repaired within the hour! They are absolutely great.

The Daphne store on US98 in Daphne AL. is the best service store out of three Mavis stores that I have used from Illinois to Alabama. The service men behind the counter are great. My service for a tire rotation was fast and while I was waiting on my car, a very upset person came in with a brake issue. The two service men behind the counter were very understanding to that person and calmed the person by explaining everything that could cause the issue. With in the 20 minutes it took to service my car, the person was calm and smiling. I highly recommend if you need service or tires to give this location a call.

Mavis in Daphne, Al did an amazing job. Very friendly staff and great service. I had to get an oil change and tire replaced. The guy that worked the front desk was new ad had only been there for about 3 weeks. He even went to the back and worked on my vehicle himself so it would be done in time. highly recommend!

Mavis in Daphne is my go-to place for tires, easy to schedule, never a long wait, and far better prices than elsewhere. Today I dropped needing a tire on my motor home rebalanced, and they quickly took care of it, even though I didn’t get it there. Great service every time I’ve gone in.

What a great experience! Evacuee from Ida stranded at 5pm with a flat. Mavis replaced the damaged tire and helped with the others and we are back on the road at 8:15. You need to see John!

I would not come here to have anything done with your car. I bought 4 new tires and had them installed and supposedly balanced. Not only did they leave the old weights on while adding more, the tires were totally out of balance. They also told me my car needed new break pads and new rotors, as well as new shocks. Because this bill was going to be $1700, I took the car Fairhope Tires for a second opinion. Good thing I did. They found nothing wrong with any of those issues that Mavis said needed replacing, and they also found that the balance job with the tires was wrong. I know other people have said good things about Mavis, but if you bring your car here to get checked, I would definitely go get a second opinion before spending money for repairs.

My niece from TN needed a tire replaced for her new vehicle due to a puncture. She was in town due to a death in the family.John and staff ordered the tire, did the repair as soon as I arrived with the vehicle, and were so friendly and professional. This was a great experience!

These guys not only did a great job for a great price, they were also super nice and quick! It was the 4th of July weekend plus my first time ever going there and although they were pretty busy and as I said, Im a brand new customer, I was taken care of as though Id always come there. My first trip to Daphne’s Mavis Tire & Brake was in May to have two wheel lug bolts replaced.My Frontier’s truck warranty requires me to use the dealer where I purchased the truck for maintenance. On the last scheduled maintenance trip, the dealer rotated my tires and some one cross threaded two lug bolts. They failed to tell me.I asked Mavis T&B manager, Rick, to give me an cost estimate and a job time estimate to replace the affected lug bolts. They finished the job sooner and under the estimated cost.My next trip to Mavis T&B was yesterday to get help to investigating a small oil leak on my Mazda B3000 and try to discover if the oil filter’s anti drain back valve was working. To be clear, this work was performed by “others”, and not Mavis. Rick was willing to help. We discovered that the oil filter was loose and when the oil filter was removed it contained no oil. They replaced the oil filter with one that I brought with me and problem seems to be solved.Mavis in now my go to store for tires and oil changes.

I dropped my car off at 7:15 to get four tires mounted/balanced then to get it aligned. I called for updated during the day (I had this appointment schedule 4 days before). I first got a 2:00 to 3:00 PM finish time. I called around 3:30 and they said they would have it aligned and done in 30-45 minutes. I show up at 4:45 to get my car. They haven’t even put it on the rack for alignment. They then put it up there and take 45 minutes while I’m waiting them come out and try and tell me only BMW can align BMWs. (Completely wrong). I left there went to Firestone up the street in the morning, 30 minutes in and out all aligned up and tired rebalanced due to them out of balance from Mavis. Moral of the story…there is either a lack of care for someone’s scheduled appointment and inexperienced technicians who make alignment worse on a car than when you come in. Save the headache. Go to Firestone 5 minutes up 98 they actually care.

The guys were very helpful and explained to me what my vehicle needed to get me back on the road safely. Would definitely recommend mavis and come back for future service

Just took my spare tire in there to figure out why it wouldnt take air told them I was in an accident earlier and had to have a tire the guy replaced the valve stem core and filled it up with air and didnt charge me a dime I would recommend this place to anybody and everybody thank you guys so much you are awesome!!!!!

First time coming here… will not be back. my car is fairly newer and only had 35,000 miles on it. when i brought it in they told me i needed a new battery and brake fluid. i told them “no i’m good, i’ll do it some other time.” (which still 30,000 miles, needs some upgrades or things done sometimes, not saying that’s not true) but i don’t think they liked that because whoever i was on the phone with hung up on me pretty quickly. then when i came to pick up my car and my parking lights and brights were left on (but yet i need a new battery?) this car beeps at you every time you leave the lights on while it’s turned off. i heard it immediately when i sat in the car and when i got back out to go into the shop and let them know what was happening. kinda find it weird that i needed a new battery but we (mavis) felt negligent enough to leave the lights on? pretty weird? and definitely not cool.

What a Satisfied Experience I had today with Daphne Mavis! I needed my new Tires placed on my vehicle, along with my new Drilled & Slotted Brake Rotors & brake pads installed today ASAP! Will the Mechanic completed this job within 1 hour & a half professionally. Not a scratch on my rims, which is common when replacing tires. Thank you guys so much for the 5 Star Experience!

The car showed a low tire. I went to Mavis in Daphne. They did not find a problem with the tires but filled all the tires to the proper level and sent me on my way. No charge. About a week later the low tire indicator came up. Went back and this time they gound a nail. They fixed my tire. Everyone there is very friendly and very helpful. A great place to go.

Excellent service every time we use Mavis Tires.

Highly recommend anywhere but here for brake service. First off, they stripped the bolt and threads to my caliper then tried pushing blame on previous brake work which had never been done. Then while replacing my pads and rotors they broke a brake line in which they replaced with the wrong part. Fortunately a mile down the road I decided to check the line and it was dumping brake fluid. If you enjoy spending a lot for half done work this is your kinda place

I stopped by this shop to see why my car kept alarming the “ low air pressure “ signal with intentions on getting it fixed if I picked up a nail or something in one of the tires. These guys are great. Showed up with big chunk of metal in my tire and they got me right In and put my spare on. They also worked with me on where to locate my specialty tire for replacement. I will be back for replacement and highly recommend them for others.

I’m Margaret’s husband and I wanted to thank Daphne Mavis Tire. I went there on 10/01/2020 with a flat tire from running over a Razor blade. They immediately took my care into shop and got to work because I was in a hurry. I’ve done business with them before and they have always been good but today that went above and beyond. 20 minutes and they were done. I went to pay for the repairs and the sales staff looked at me and said no charge. He simply thanked me for my service as a firefighter, and said to remember them next time I needed some new tires. This is customer service!!! Don’t hesitate to give them your business, they definitely have mine from now on!!!!!!
