Had an amazing experience at this location. Brittany and Bill were awesome got me in and out quickly and professionally. Bill was great to talk to knowledgeable and was good with his hands. I would strongly recommend this shop to anybody who needs their problem fixed right!

Meagan was very helpful. Went in for oil change and tire rotation and she gave me a coupon for cheaper price. Everything was done quickly and efficiently.

My family, 2 or 3 vehicles, has been coming here for all of our tire and alignment needs. That ended today. Today I was charged to fix a faulty alignment which ruined a pair of brand new tires within the first 10k miles and a tire repair in which the service did not include checking the tpms sensor. I had to pay for tire repair once, and again for the tpms sensor. The entire repair wasnt completed which lead to more of my time and money being wasted. They should have checked the tpms sensor when they pulled the car out and saw the light. Before I explained my knowledge of this I was told NONE of the tpms sensors would program. Yeah right. I was told I failed to rotate my tires in time. I rotated them upon the second oil change, under 10k miles, as recommended by the manufacturer. They essentially do not back their work. I was shown that the coverage is only three months for alignments. Thats nice, maybe get it right the first time, eh? From one alignment, not only was the life of myself and my passengers jeopardized, I was charged for another alignment and lost two brand new tires. When I explained the alignment cost was covered, so I was told on the phone, the mechanic refused to accept or even negotiate a discount. I will say one thing they did give me a code for free though. I mean whats several hundred dollars of messed up labor and tires compared to a free bcm code. There are better options around. Believe me, there was no trouble wasting my time explaining all the work they had that day. They won’t miss you as you won’t miss them.

I drove in from Texas and my oil pump went out soon as I got into town. I called this place and they had me tow my truck to their shop. With my kids being dependent on getting back to school over when the truck got repaired, they had me pay $100 to have my truck towed to their shop knowing they would not be able to work on it when they said they would but it gets worse--they dont even employ a mechanic that knows how or has ever changed an oil pump, so now we are out two days in the hotel, out $100 because of a tow that was unnecessary and hopefully their tech who didnt know what they were doing and told me they didnt know what they were doing but for some reason started my truck with no oil in it! The girl lied to me about having a tech they didnt call me to let me know anything this was just a terrible terrible experience with this company. Im sure theyre pretty good at changing lug nuts or something or maybe pulling parts idk.

Went in for general maintenance in April and was told my belt broke in my tire so I needed to replace that one and get another. I order 2 Kelly tires. Was told the manager would call me when they came in, no call. I called in two weeks was told they were in and made an appt that Saturday. Went to my appt, checked in, waiting over an hour in the lobby for my car. When the technician came in he told me the manager did not order the tires. Mistakes happen, I told him I work 6 days a week so get the tires ordered and I will be back when there are in. June 6th my tires were installed and I left. On my way home my car was vibrating terribly so I called and the manager made me an appt June 9th. I dropped my car off and got a ride to work. Was told car was ready later and they needed balanced. Driving home same thing, I called again. Manager let me speak to the mechanic that worked on my car and I told him the issue. He said it may be the tires, but my back brakes, calipers, and left wheel bearing needed replaced so that may be causing the issue. 6/23 I had the brakes and calipers done, same issue. July 18th I had the left wheel bearing replaced, same vibration. I called and the manager said lets see how the tires wear. I was back in again for same vibration 8/03, 8/05, 8/15. By this point I am told the the manager will call me and this is clearly a tires issue, she never calls. Finally new tires are order for me and put on, same vibration. Went in 8/22. 3 sets of tires same issues. Was told must be my after market rims. I order refurbished ones. A district manager says I need to go to the Gilbert location now that a fresh set of eyes needs to look at my car. I want to talk to this manager. The Manager, Megan Morgan, does not care about what is happening and is rude. Never apologized for any inconvenience or added miles to my car for people driving it telling me yes it still vibrates. She gave me two cards for free oil changes. They charged me on one of my trips up there to balance the tires yet again so essentially I prepaid for the oil change. I told her I will NEVER ever use these. You get my car fixed and I am never coming back. I want to go somewhere else but want these people to fix the car I am scared to drive out of town because it shakes so bad! I sent corporate an email and got a response two days later saying someone will contact me, they dont. You call the corporate number and no one answers! One 8/28 I go to the Gilbert location. They arent sure the issues and tell me to return 8/31. They put on the new rims and no issues. Is aid what was the issue.....the weights kept slipping and now it balances and is fine. ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!!! Wow great finally done. I ask them to put on my old rims and if they are fine I will return the refurbished ones. They do. Car runs fine. I contact the wheel company I purchased 700 dollars of EOMs from and they said if you had them installed you cant return them....I can Car X and ask if they can install the new rims ( I was told I probably needed) and was told for a fee pf $130.00. I only bought these because I believed these people knew what they were doing I needed to fix my lemon. Brakes needed to be done at some point and the rear wheel bearing, but I did it right away trying to eliminate the vibration that was so bad you could hear it in my voice as I drove. I am out of money and patience. DO NOT GO HERE, go anywhere else. Miles is awesome by the way. He listened to me complain and cry about my car and only tried to help and help to get the Manager Megan to actually do her job and do something. Worst experience ever!!!!!!!!

Very quick getting us in last minute very quick with getting it fixed and they always help us out and make sure to give us a great deal! Definitely recommend for anyone who lives in the area or even if you’re just driving through!

Brakes failed while on July 4th trip. Brought it in on Saturday morning and staff and techs promptly analyzed source of problem. After a quick repair I was back on the road and able to complete my trip that day thanks to their efforts. Drivers side front wheel bearing making noise and 2.5 hours from home at 5pm. They ordered parts asap and promised me out in a couple hours. Friendly quick service.....was out by 6:10 with two people working on it to get me back on the road. Manager Robin was very good.

Came in from out of town to do a quick visit with my family for my nieces 2nd birthday. unfortunately I pulled up to my moms house and had a flat tire everyone was closed except them I called they told me to come right in and he fixEd my tire!very nice professional staff. So if any of my Danville family and friends need some stuff done and check him out!I had to unFortunately edit this😢 When I went back outside my tire was flat again but I just think God it didn’t happen on the highway and they were still really nice😘 just didn’t fix tire properly I guess😢

Service has always been superior, today they even outdid themselves. I have been dealing with a headache of a problem with my truck. Nobody has been able to provide a solution or cause for an intermittent vibration. Brian had told me that if it redeveloped to bring it back in and they would drive with me. True to their word, I called during a full backed up day, and they sent someone with me so they could experience what I was feeling. I was able to get it in today and instead of pushing it off, they spent the entire day trying to source the problem. Their hard work and dedication paid off and it appears that the problem has been fixed. Great job guys.***Updated***Since switching over to Car-X, the quality of customer service has tanked. I have been there 3 times since the switch over and have yet to be impressed. 1st time I went in for my Free tire rotation after buying 6 tires for my truck. It was only after that it was finished, was I told that the free rotations dont apply to my dually, because they have to remount the tires.2nd visit was for a radiator flush. Dropped the truck off first thing in the morning with an appointment time, so I could have it back before noon. They finally started working on it at noon and didnt get it done until 4pm. When I told them I was pretty upset about it because my day was totally screwed up at that point, I was told by someone in charge I dont know what you want me to do, I have problems too. Corporate came in and made changes today and I lost a couple of guys. Totally acted like he was put off because I was upset about them not getting it done on time. A simple call to let me know they were running behind would have helped. I would have rescheduled it and been able to do what we needed to do. They did take the labor charges3rd time, and probably the last time Ill visit, was to get brakes and rotors replaced all around. Dropped it off for my appointment time, expecting a 3-4 hour job. 9 hours later, right before closing time they finished it. The excuse? We had someone go home sick. Im noticing a trend developing. Good thing there are plenty of other options in town to use. The only good thing was the convenience of how close it was to my house.

Ok have been coming here for over a year now and everyone is very friendly and helpful until last week. I make an appointment for an oil change on Monday for Saturday. When I arrived to my appointment Robin the new manager was very unfriendly and told me it would take about 2 hours until they could start my oil change. I ask then why did I make an appointment then if this is first come first service. I stated that Mark the old manager didnt work this way. Robin said very rudely Mark is no longer here and I am the new manager and this is how it is now. I was not the only customer Robin was rude to. Plus she is not nice to any of the employees. After this day I am ready to look for another location because of this issue. I hope this problem can be corrected before you loss all your customer.

Every time I go in, I see Mark. Hes taken care of my vehicles, and familys vehicles for quite some time. A dependable person who takes his time and cares about the quality of work that leaves his shop. Ive met many of the other workers there as well, and many have innumerable years in the industry and are professional auto enthusiasts. The staff makes sure youre taken care of, and leave happy with the service you have received. Go here, and you wont find yourself going anywhere else.

My wife and I were very impressed by the help that we received at this Car-X location. Heres the story: We were on a road trip the evening before Thanksgiving. I had just gotten new tires at another Car-X location in Indiana. Well, we knew something wasnt right during the first part our trip because of the car vibrating badly. We figured that the tires were out of balance, but I did not have a lot of hope that we could get the problem solved since it was getting late. However, we stopped off I-74 at this Car-X location. Eric and another gentleman were JUST ready to close-up shop for the day when I came in and told them about the issue. Eric was MORE THAN ACCOMMODATING to fix the problem. As expected, the tires were out of balance. They fixed us up in no time, and we were on our way with a smoother ride ahead. There were no complaints from them for needing to stay ~30 min. late on the night before Thanksgiving to fix someone elses mistake with no payment to them. In fact, it ended up being a pleasant experience for my wife and me as we were able to have an enjoyable chat with Eric as the other employee gave our car a test drive. Needless to say, this is where wed be taking our vehicles if we lived in the area!!

Only shop that successfully aligned my hotrod after many attempts at other shops.Took powder coated wheels in the other day to get balanced and they couldnt have been more inconsiderate of my very expensive property. They scratched both sides of both wheels all the way down to metal. These wheels took 10 weeks to get and cost 1000k$ . I even told them to not scratch them.Didnt pay for the balance but wont go back for anything other than my alignment as long as the same guy is still there for the alignment .

Woke up to a dead battery. Fortunately I had purchased a portable jump start thingy about a year ago and dropped in at Shutes unannounced and was taken care of within about a half hour.I really appreciate the friendliness and expertise of everyone there. I have considered them my go to place for all of my car care needs for about 2 years now and will continue to go there for future needs.Thank GOD for Shutes on Bowman!!!

This place is great. The customer service is outstanding. They go the extra mile to explain everything in detail. I have had tires, oil changes and engine work done here and I feel they are always fair and honest with me. They do not do work that doesnt need done just to pad their wallets. This is my garage for all my cars now and in the future!

Brian and the staff at Frey tire are the best in the business. I recently had 4 tires put on my wifes car, and had such a good experience, that I was back two months later with my truck for four more. They consistently provide the best customer service in the area. They will always be my first choice for tires or any car maintenance issues that I might have in the future.

I couldnt leave 0 stars, I would if I could. Called for an appointment this morning was abruptly put on hold, waited there for 10 minutes then was transferred to an automated system. This business is not what it used to be since it changed hands. I am now sitting in the competitors waiting room having my car worked on. I will NEVER call again!!

We were on vacation from Colorado when my husband noticed a screw in one of our tires. Since we had no idea where to go, we did a search for tire repair near me on Google. Shutes pulled up with a good rating so we decided to give that a try. They were so polite & helpful, fitting us in within 10 minutes. They removed the screw & checked out the tire for possible leaks (we were lucky that none existed) and had us on our way quickly. The charge? Free! Thanks for helping us dodge a screw to our vacation.

Been going to Shutes for both my business and personal vehicle maintenance and tire needs since it opened so many years ago and the reason is simple, they do what they say theyre going to do, they do it well, and their prices are better than the dealers prices. If youre looking for the best deal in town then youll not be disappointed with the Shutes Philosophy, where the customer truly does come first. There are a lot of things I like about them, but the one that stands out the most for me is that they keep me informed about what is coming up next. Knowing that my breaks are getting close to needing replaced lets me prepare for it in advance. After more than a year of no air conditioning in my 1997 Saturn SL2, I took it to Shutes-Bowman. They diagnosed it quickly, explained it thoroughly, and fixed it so that it is working again. AND at an affordable price!!This was a most pleasurable experience, and we plan on taking our vehicles to Shutes-Bowman for all our repair needs. I suggest you do the same!!!

Shutes is the only auto repair shop that I go to in the Danville, IL area. Service is always friendly, timely, and priced fairly. The repairs needed are always explained fully and the amount of repair to be done is decided by the customer and the decision respected. Any repairs not done on any visit to Shutes is noted on the receipt for repairs completed. I am extremely satisfied with the repairs I have had done at Shutes and will continue to be a long term customer.

They were very honest and only do the work when needed, they dont pad the bill and do extra things you dont need! They work you in and are very accommodating!

So far, not so good. I ordered some wheels, and tires online and had them delivered to car-x. Lugnuts, and tpms sensors were delivered May 30th, tires June 4th, and wheels June 5th. I stopped in yesterday June 6th and was told it was a slow day, and they should have them ready that day. Called today June 7th, and was told they were waiting on me so they could use the tpms sensors currently in my tires. I drive over there because now Im worried the $180 tpms sensors I ordered werent delivered. Upon speaking to the manager, he heads into his office, slams some stuff around and says yea I got them. I then said so we are good? He goes back into his office grabs the box and puts it on the counter in front of me, then goes back to typing on his computer. I stand there waiting for some acknowledgement, when he gets up and walks right past me. I then said so is it looking like theyll be ready tomorrow? He then said hed have someone start on them later today, and kept walking. This is definitely not the Shutes alignment my family has dealt with the last decade. Brian never would have let this even become a situation. I might change my 1 star review tomorrow, but it will definitely take some convincing on their part.

We have several years now taken our cars to Shutes Alignments on Bowman Ave. for our regular maintenance or when a problem occurs. We trust their work and enjoy the associates in and around the shop. I highly recommend there garage for any repairs.

I have had two sets of tires installed within the last month at the Shutes location, at 211 N. Gilbert Street, in Danville. Both cars were also found to be out of alignment, so that was taken care of as well. The manager, Eric, was polite and very helpful in explaining everything. Shutes is fortunate to find someone of his caliber and willingness to make sure the customer is completely satisfied. He told me about the 3 year road hazzard warranty and I felt absolutely no pressure to buy, but I did anyway. It was a good deal and kind of hard to beat for only about $1.40 a month. Shutes better hold on to that guy! He is part of a dying breed of employees who actually care about quality customer service. Good job to everyone at Shutes.

I have had Shutes do normal wheel/tire work, suspension repairs, and a custom wheel/tire/suspension setup for me over the past 7 or 8 years, and Ive always been totally satisfied - not just with the quality of the work they do, but with how they treat me. I cant give them a high enough recommendation - I live in Urbana now and I still make the drive to Shutes when I need to.
