TWO OF THEIR EMPLOYEES ATTEMPTED TO BURGLARIZE MY FRIEND’S PROPERTY.DO NOT USE OAK RIDGE WASTE & RECYCLING!Should anyone out there use or knows of someone who uses Oak Ridge for their trash pickup, this post is for you. A friend of mine was a customer of theirs until last week. At approximately 3:00 a.m. on Wednesday of last week, she was alerted by her Ring camera that someone was in their driveway. When she looked out her window, an Oak Ridge garbage truck was parked in front of their house and two men were opening the gates of their driveway. One was wearing a reflective vest holding a flashlight, and he proceeded to their shed. The other man stepped out of the camera’s view. When she said something to them through the Ring, the one at the shed quickly turned around to leave and the other man made believe he was taking their trash cans out, which he later decided to leave in their driveway. Mind you, my friend has curbside pickup so there was no reason for the men to enter their property and it was not their day for trash pickup. The next morning, she called Oak Ridge and spoke to Karen, the Office Manager. Karen attempted to justify the men’s actions until my friend sent her the video. The Police have been notified. Apparently there have been multiple burglaries of tools. Of course, they fired Oak Ridge, and you may want to consider doing the same.
Ive filled up my car twice and drove it to the Mom and Pop drop off area. Overall a painless experience. Wish they took credit, prices not clearly listed.
We have used them for the past several years. This past month they stopped picking up our garbage on our scheduled day. We didn’t think anything Of it and let it slide. Then they skipped a week and when we called to complain, they kept saying they would send someone to pick it up, but they never did. We always pay our bill and kept getting the run around every-time we called as to why the garbage hadn’t been picked up. We decided to switch companies and they still have not come picked up the garbage or their cans. It is now been 2 weeks and is an eye sore. It seems they are spiteful we switched and won’t come pick up. Very unprofessional company.
Fine for garbage pick-up and driver is good, but customer service/leadership seems to be asleep. They promised to pick-up and we put garbage out on curb, which looks terrible in neighborhood, and it has now sat there for 3 days stinking and an eyesore. They have not called. When I called, they acted like it was my fault that they didnt show up...and said they were still going to charge me even though they did not show up. When I asked the agent - who could not give a toss about the problem - to relay my concerns to her manager. She just shooed me off the phone. yeah, sure I cant wait to relay your message to the manager. Then they have not reached back out to rectify, so either she was lying about telling the manager or he also cant give a toss. So, just stay away from them. I think they changed owners and that may be the problem. Ive had them for 3 1/2 years and this is recent.
Unfortunately we use them for several properties and you can NOT get thru to them! You stay on hold indefinitely! They NEVER answer the phone or return calls or pick up garbage on the schedule!!!! I would give them negative stars if i could!
Never on time. Recyclables set there for days. “The dispatcher was notified”. They don’t show up on a Holiday; suppose to come the next day. Oops, we forget. See you next week. Plus the stuff flies out of the back littering the street
I absolutely love my service. Let me start by saying my trash service review is based on the driver/trash person named Wilson. During the pandemic I watched him patiently haul away tons of trash from endless online shopping. He was always very patient and kind. My son loves to wave out the window and say hello :)I have never had any type of issues with dispatch, nor service.
Terrible. Consistently missed pick up dates and offered next to no feedback after multiple messages left. Well do the best we can to get there soon was their line, as the garbage sat at the end of the driveway and the squirrels had a field day. Unacceptable. Will be moving onto a new company now.
We have now fired this poorly run company 2x and will not be back. Both times they were unresponsive and did not follow through on picking up our trash which is the service we pay for. We went back the 2nd time because locally they were the only one that picked up our recycling weekly as many are biweekly. At this point we are willing to pay more for extra pick ups then use this service (if that’s what you call it). At present they haven’t picked up our trash in over 2 weeks and now that we have cancelled service they STILL haven’t picked up the trash or their cans. GO WITH SOMEONE ELSE!
We are a new customer, in theory anyway. Supposed to get our cans last Tues, 8/17/21 for first pickup next day. Called at 3pm on Tues asking about the cans and the girl said, let me check and call you back. No c/b. The cans showed on Wed morn which we filled hoping for a pickup on that day. I called at 3 on Wed, left a msg since the wait time was so long, no c/b. I called on Th and told Alana my problem and she said she’d look into it and def call me back and she won’t leave work until she does. She also said they are short staffed. She called back at 5:01 to say we were def on sked for Fri pickup. On Fri I called and ranted to Madison who said she’s sorry and will credit our Acct for the week and we are def on sked for Sat. On Sat I called and the girl said she’s sorry and she’ll credit our Acct and that we’re still in the sked for pickup on Sat but if they don’t come TO C/ B ON MON!!!O.M.G. What is wrong here??? Who is running this company??? They had food reviews on Nextdoor and now I feel like I’m stuck cause we paid up front for 3 months. UGH…
Moved, so I transferred my service. All is well and good until a few months later when they stop showing up. So after 2 weeks missed service I call to see what the problem is... TURNS OUT if you move, your account does not transfer. Your auto bill pay? No longer active. Do they tell you this? No. THEN when you sign up for a new account, you have to use a new email - which just adds to the fun. A simple phone call from Oak Ridge could have fixed this when they noticed an issue with my account, but instead they dropped the ball on Customer Service. 2/5 stars.
I signed up for their service just this past Monday, and already they have not delivered their own garbage and recycling cans and they did not pick up their garbage on the specified day! They took my money though!

Women in Billing was extremely rude, condescending and very unprofessional. I have also left messages, after garbage was not picked up (yet billed for it) and no one returns my call!
I called and asked to have them pull into my driveway to pick up the cans & put them back in the same spot because they took up too much room at the bottom of our drive which is on a blind curve. They picked them up from the right spot but then left them blocking the end of the driveway. I called and left a message, but it happened again. I called to cancel my service & I told her why, although she didn’t seem interested, and on their last pick up today, they blocked the driveway again. I couldn’t pull in when I got home. Disappointed.
My current circumstances have forced me to use Oak Ridge for garbage pick up. I got a letter today (April 8th) saying that starting April 1st there will be a price increase due to Covid and the price increase is based off of an analysis of my account. What is an analysis of my account? Does that mean some people arent getting a price increase? Does it mean some people are getting screwed more than I am?The price increase ended up being 40% ($25 a month to $35 a month.) This seems like a huge increase based off of the analysis of my account. Im also very unhappy there was little effort of notifying me of the increase other than a letter a week after it has gone into effect.Was the info on their website perhaps? Of course not. No pricing info whatsoever. Im fortunate to be moving soon so I will eventually stop paying for the service. Id recommend looking to see if there are better options.
I originally had Winter Bros which then became Oak Ridge. No problem ever with Winter Brothers, always an issue with Oak Ridge. Completely missing our street, saying they came out when they didnt. Have scheduled a double pick up and no one came to pick up. Takes forever to get through to customer service.
Nothing but good experiences with Oak Ridge and their people. I leave my garbage in the designated place, in the proper containers and it is taken away, as if by magic, every Monday morning. Unless it snows or theres other inclement weather - Im not an idiot. I dont want someone getting killed in order to remove my garbage. I can wait a day.
When looking for the company for trash removal I did not have high standards - just pick up the garbage and recycling.This place is awful - do NOT choose them.The trucks have left garbage residue on our driveway after most visits and my dog ended up in the ER from it at one point.After multiple attempts to get a manager on the phone they finally sent a crew to clean up our driveway, yet it didn’t get clean!The trucks continue to leave stains. I tried to ignore it but after the last visit I had it - I called the manager I had originally dealt with and now he has not responded to 3 follow up calls I made about it.I canceled our service and can not wait to put this experience behind me. Again, look elsewhere - this place is horrible.
Beware, they discriminate against people of color. And. Expect to be overcharged if you are a woman. My husband dropped a car full of junk for $10. When I went alone the same guy wanted to charge me $35 for a couple of things. Never going there again.
Drivers have always been efficient and considering the lack of leadership within the company I am beyond impreased with the drivers ability to get things done. The customer service department is above average, they handle calls well. Under new management this company can shine brighter then a star exploding but as long as the leader is a Donkey these wonderful Stallions will never have the opportunity to show off their excellent galloping. Raised rates from $28 to $38 with very short notice, claiming rate increases were due to the COVID-19 pandemic. However, their letter informing us of the rate increase was very vague on what costs the rate increase is covering and their rationale was inadequate. Why do they need an extra $118 per year to pick up my trash? Still waiting for an explanation.

Every-time I call they are rude on the phone as if they are doing me a favor. They just raised prices for the 2nd year in a row...this time by 10%! Inflation is at 2% but not at Oak Ridge. Wish Winter Bros never sold to these rip off artists.
I have been using Oak Ridge for a number of years for residential pick-up. Never any issues. A few times I forgot to bring the cans to the road, gave them a call within 24 hrs they returned and did a pick-up. The drivers and customer service staff have always been professional & courteous. Ella Christina recently helped me with ordering a dumpster, she was absolutely amazing ! So friendly, patient & knowledgeable. This world could use a million more people like her !!
I recently move to Danbury, and I gave this company a chance to use their garbage service, to my surprise it was terrible. The previous owner had left their containers and I wanted to use the same company, so I call them to continue the service. They told me that it would be great to change the container to start fresh. So I said yes, a truck came picked them up. but they never left me the new ones. I called them to complaint and they could careless. They said on Friday we will deliver them, no one show up, they said on Monday will deliver them, no one showed up, they said on Wednesday will deliver them. No one show up. Third one is a charm. So I canceled the service. Totally unconsidered and unprofessional. Do not try this company not worth the headache.
No less than 6 times since this company took over Winter Brothers have they forgot to pick up garbage on our route, had to call and speak with the “dispatcher” to get pickup. This week we had half our road picked up after calling to try to get service after three phone call attempts and catching an attitude with the delightful dispatcher we finally had our garbage picked up. They just lost a customer and I will go out of my way now to get my neighbors and anyone else that will hear my story to switch to USA.
Worst company I’ve ever had to deal with. The staff is rude and incompetent. They never show up and always have excuses as to why. It’s no wonder they don’t even have 3 stars on here! I would not recommend them to anyone!
If I could give zero stars to a company Oak Ridge would be deserving. This company has been nothing but a nightmare to deal with. Management should be ashamed. I guess you cant expect much from a company that deals in garbage. They also dropped off a dumpster with a rotting carcass in it and sent a collection agency after me when I refused to pay when I had them pick it up still empty minus the dead animal when the smell became completely unbearable to deal with.
I was referred here for free mattress recycling by a representative of Habitat for Humanity. When I brought my mattresses to this facility I was charged $20.00 cash to leave them there. When I checked with HFH I was told that it is supposed to be free that this is a designated mattress recycling place. I will be contacting the State of Connecticut because I think this constitutes fraud.
I had a great experience with Oak Ridge - for both at home waste pickup and also other services. And in addition, found the staff very responsive, helpful, and in great spirits during this very difficult time. It was great to get a person on the phone who was so service oriented and pleasant. Very thankful for your service.
Ella Christina went above and beyond to help my family during this trying time for all of us. I can’t say how much her kindness & understanding during this time of crisis helped us . Bad custumer service
Im a new customer and was really impressed with the customer service. Madison set up my new account. She was knowledgeable, friendly, and generally very helpful. I set up auto-payments without issue; Madison was very prompt with sending me the form. So far, very happy with Oak Ridge.
After Oakridge Hauling took over Springer the customer service is absolutely terrible. I have been kept on hold for 30 to 40 minutes every time. There is an option to leave your home number and they will call you back without loosing my place in line. They called back 24 hours later. The service rep claimed he called me and he never did. I needed to stop my service on a specific date and all he was interested in was who was moving into my home so he could get a new customer. I do not recommend using this company especially if you will need a large container. My family has owned a rubbish company years ago and we never treated our customers like this.
When I first inquired about Oak Ridge a female named Ella Christina answered the phone. When I questioned her on pricing and service she was informative. I actually loved the way she presented her insightful ness about Oak Ridge services. Of course I signed up!!! Her personality was so bubbly and cheerful. Thanks again Ella Christina.
I don’t even know where to start on how pleased I am with them as a company. I have them set to pick up my trash for my home business and I cannot explain how polished these guys are. You truly get what you pay for with Oak Ridge Waste! Thank you all for the professionalism.
I thought this company stood for WAY more than what they do. I wasted two weeks waiting to start with them to be dismissed and never paid for 4 days of work. At will employment, is fine but not paying people is a whole other egg to be cracked. My household suffered because of this companies insolence. My experience with them is horrific at best and disgusting at its worse and I will NOT let this go. I seen a name.that began with an S relative to a company I may have worked for before, I will follow through dont you worry.

Wow and I thought Winters Bros was bad, but Oak Ridge takes lousy customer service to a whole new level. They are the worst - truly, the worst in customer service and so thankful that we moved our business to another company. The other trash pick-up company is not only much nicer to talk to on the phone, theyre responsive and theyre cheaper by quite a lot and forget about what used to be Mom & Pops dump in Danbury - theyre even worse there. I mean, granted, youre not dealing with the cleanest or most educated of people, but just being reasonable, courteous, if not friendly, and a decent human being, goes a long way no matter what business youre in. Theyve seriously jacked up their prices all they way around whether youre bringing a few bags to the dump or having them do curbside pickup. I dont have a problem paying more for a service, but then I also expect reasonable, if not great, customer support and service. I certainly dont expect a business to jack up prices and then hire the most unprofessional people they can find who clearly are just unhappy with their lives, in general. I mean, hello! - there are other trash companies out there, but Oak Ridge not only picks up trash, apparently they hire it, too.
Don’t waste your time, there’s multiple times they forget to pick up our garbage and once I call their customer service they’ll tell me a day and once the day arrives I still won’t get my garbage picked up! They need to fix their system, it’s like i’m paying for getting trash picked up twice a month.

We have to call them at least 2 times a month to get them to come and dispose of the garbage they have more excuses than pairs of underwear it actually ridiculous they make promises that last 2 weeks and then back to calling and begging them to empty the garbage
Bins have been waiting curbside since Sunday evening (normal pickup is Monday mornings). Snowstorm postponed pickup to Tuesday morning. Tuesday morning, I see the truck down the street and yet I still didn’t get service. It is now Saturday evening and still no service. I’ve called 3x throughout the week and spoke to two different representatives(man and woman), who both said I’d get service the following day. I’ve had similar issues in the past that resulted in me having to speak directly with the supervisor, Eric. To not have service for an entire week is beyond ridiculous. I have no more patience for this “company.”
We have been using Winters for our garbage removal. Their prices are great. We have always had great services with them. If we have any questions we call up and they give us the best solutions possible during the holiday schedules. We will continue to always use them. I will refer them to anyone.
7/31/20 - Garbage pick up day. I put the trash out by the street and they are a non-show. I call them and the phone service is out of order. I have no idea what is going on with this company but I paid through next month. Ended up taking the trash to the dump myself!
Just a horrible company to deal with. The girls who pick up the phones are not only rude, but just completely ignorant humans. I found out I I was billed for 4 months after I canceled my service,(they even picked up the garbage cans) by them sending me to collections and putting a ding on my credit. My credit went from a 740 to a 680 because of their ignorance. I am going to take them to small claims court, just to prove a point. Stay far away from these crooks!
Oak Ridge has trucks that have leaked/spewed liquid on my driveway...several months now, I have called every other week and gotten no attempt to resolve the issue... Talk with someone at their office, get a reply that my complaint is being forwarded and...NOTHING!!!
The two gentlemen who empty the trash & recycling bins from our residence are the friendliest, hardest-working & most efficient sanitation engineers Ive experienced!

I never go out of my way to write a review, however if I could give them a ZERO, I would. They never show up if its a short week or theres been bad weather - even if you call them multiple times. Youll be told theyll come and they never do. Have even witnessed the workers relieving themselves in the middle of road right in front of my home. Switching away from them today. Good riddance.
Been using their pick up trash services for a year now and they have been great. Always on time with their scheduled pick ups. I like the robotic trucks with the arms pretty different to see instead of workers coming off the truck.
Ive been with Oak Ridge or whatever they were called before for 3 years I pay the extra fee to have them come up to my home and get the cans and have had a continuing problem with them constantly leaving them anywhere they like such as in front of my garage door in front of my front door in front of my entry path facing down my driveway so they slide down my driveway to the head of the driveway. Ive called numerous times and they have fed me every promise they could possibly feed me and nothing has changed so I guess I really have to switch garbage service companies. I was thinking I didnt really have to dedicate a lot of time to the garbage cans at my house but I guess I do? LOL

I am always pleased at the way they handle our trash. Their services have been fantastic with us for the last three years. The workers are always polite and say hello and always chat with me if I catch them before work or in a bagel shop.
I will not stop warning people until they correct what theyve done. Im positive being ethnic has ALOT to do with this and until I get paid for my time I will tell the world about your sheisty company.
They stink. Cant wait to cancel them. Recently my bill was $93 every 3 months. Now it went up to $98 every 3 months. My garbage and recycle gets picked up every Friday. Today, they picked up my recycle and not trash for some reason. When i called the woman said oh Im not sure why they didnt pick up your garbage. i will put a ticket in a they will pick it up on MONDAY! Im sorry I didnt my bill goes up and my service is supposed to get worse.
They came to pick up my container when it was still empty, though I never called for pickup. They severely demage my driway with the container and never replied about the complain. They slapped $150 additional fee for coming to pick up the empty container though it was not my fault they came.
I just want to acknowledge Antonio for buying breakfast for my wife and I. When I was about to purchase it I realized that my wallet didnt have money in it nor my credit card. This is the worst company ever with very bad business practices. They raised my monthly fee to 60% while playing games of concern and understanding. Why should I pay $107 per month for trash services while their competitors are offering $65 per month. Ive called countless times, went to to their office location without being able to resolve this issue. Do yourself a favor, quit or dont get services from them. VERY BAD SERVICES WITH EXTREMELY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE.
HIGHLY RECOMMENDI switched trash haulers in late summer because of very competitive pricing and the fact that they pick up recycling each week. Garbage pickup isnt something you normally care about as long as they empty it each week. A few weeks ago we forgot to take the bins from the top of our driveway down to the curb. I arrived home to discover they had walked up my driveway and emptied the cans anyway. Best customer service!
Great trash services from them. They are always so polite and helpful. I love how they dont have to carry your trash cans back up the drive way but they do anyway.
Furious. This is the 3rd week in a row the garbage driver has thrown cans into our cars as well as almost hitting a chicken coop that is 70 feet from where the cans are!! And digging foot deep holes into our yard in several spots. There is more than enough room to move around. We have called 2x now and they say they will take care of it and have not. I wish i could post a pictre of the damage to my property on this review.
Terrific people. Definitely make sure you tip these men who pick up your trash for the holidays this year because they do an outstanding job placing my cans back to where they belong!!! They are great people
I have lived at my house for 19 yrs. Oak Ridge has been servicing our house since they took over from Winter Bros. WORST company EVER! Extremely Poor customer service. The Mgr. is wicked and RUDE!
Horrible place to work. Had to leave early to go to the dmv and I get fired after I got told to tell them a day in advance like I did. Disrespectful to the customers to and over price on toter pick ups.
Much better when they were Winter Brothers. They lost my business after being a client for over a decade. Shameful business practices are practiced by Oak Ridge. They take advantage of their customers and commit highway robbery. Take your trash to your town transfer station for free or at a lesser cost. These people WILL take advantage of you.
My family and I use their services. They are superb. Excellent service. Very happy to have them every week picking up our trash.
Communication between the office and the actual people who collect the trash is Ridiculous. Ive had no issues in speaking with staff (in/out of the office) however I would ask that something please work on this specifically.*please remind the people driving your trucks to be courteous when placing the garbage cans back where they were. Being disabled is challenging enough without having to go out into the middle of the road at 6am to retrieve tossed trash canisters 🤕🤕
Just bad performance: service is very inconsistent, you never know when they come or even if your garbage will be picked up at all, for instance, last week they did not come. I called 2 times speaking to customer service and was assured that my recycling bin would be taken care of.... after 4 days of waiting it still has not happen.

Dont waste your money. They are completely inconsistent with what time they come to collect. Ive been told to have my trash ready for collection at 5am - so I have to leave it out the night before. They didnt come pick up my trash this morning and didnt even let me know. I called four times during the day, during which a snippy receptionist told me they were coming but couldnt be bothered to call the driver and find out when. I was finally told that the driver is on his way - its now almost 7pm and the trash is all over my driveway from the animals that have gotten into it.
Extremely rude and not willing to work with its customers at all.. I am a disabled vet . I was late with my payment and the discontinued my service. I completely understand since it is my own fault. When I called in this morning to ask if they can come today as usual and post date my payment for Wednesday I was given a flat No. Then if I paid ot on Wednesday and had them pick it up the next day I would have to pay an additional 25.00 dollars. So basically I could of paid today. They would of came and the payment would of been bounced back. So in reality they still wouldnt have gotten paid, Guess thats what I get for being honest. Now I will be taking my trash to our town recycling depot, where Vets only pay 30 bucks a year .
Highly Recommend why? this is why. A few days ago I totally forgot to take the bins out to the front curb. When I arrived home later that day I realized my bins had been walked up my driveway and emptied. Now that is the best customer service you can get!!!
If you need trash collection look somewhere else. They selectively choose which trash to collect leaving cardboard and other typically collected trash behind. I breakdown all the cardboard but yet its still there to greet me upon arriving from work. Nothing ends the day better than dragging trash back from the corner and hoping last weeks trash is chosen for collection.
They service my house with weekly services and also my business. I have used them for roll off services as well which theyre the best bang for the buck also. I highly recommend.
This company has no customer service. They over charge and treat their customers horribly. We will find another way to get rid of our garbage because we will not be giving any business or money to this company anymore.
I am a caregiver for A man suffering with multiple diagnosis leaving him bed bound. This company was A lot better when it was winter bros, this new company is a nightmare. After years of keeping an up to date payment schedule they decided to stop servicing us until we pay an additional $15 a month per can. As an individual with a fixed income and no other way to pay, we were forced to cancel and now...we manage to take the garbage to the dump with the greatest difficulty due to their money grubbing ways. Additionally, they leave trash all over the driveway, relieve themselves on your property, and arrive noticeably drunk. After every time they pick up trash cans, i will innevitably end up cleaning after them....why pay for a service that forced you to clean up your trash twice. They also will drag your dumpster sideways accross your lawn, leaving deep ridges in the dirt, which is where i expect they got their name. If i could give them less than 1 star, I would. Bye oak ridge, id say it was nice knowing you...but it was not. RIP WINTER BROS
Have had Winter Bros for several years since they bought out the company we used to use. At first the service was good. But in the past year it has gone seriously down hill. In the past 3 months they have forgotten us at least 5 times. This week they left our barrels in the middle of the road obstructing a lane of traffic. Every time we call and its the same thing. We will be canceling our service and taking our business elsewhere. Dont waste your time or money with these guys.
With the new transition they increased the prices for almost double the money I was paying, when you call the costumer service line they never pick up the phone send it you straight to voicemail. Their competition has much more reasonable prices.
These people have an easy job. And yet, they still screw it up daily. Get it together. Your communication within the office is non existent. Communication with the customer sucks. If it wasnt the only dump in the area, I would take my business elsewhere. I WISH I didnt have to deal with these crappy people, attitudes, unprofessionalism, and prices.
I met them in stamford during the parade and they were great people. I love their trucks. They always look brand spanking new.
Found out recently how we were being ripped off ... we were paying almost double the price of several of my neighbors! Everyone paying different prices. Unbelievable.Not to mention multiple increases in our rates over the last 1 1/2 years, including a ridiculous fuel charge. Fuel prices are at an all time low, but Winter Brothers can still get away with this ? Would have been nice to actually see a credit on our bills for fuel charges for 2016 given the low gas prices. Also, tired of the mechanical trucks and poor customer service. I watch from my window because they are so loud at 5:30 am that it always wakes me up.... rarely see the workers get off the truck. Never willing to take anything extra once in awhile. It was time to shop around and move on ...
Now that Ive had several months with my new provider, I can now comfortably write this review, knowing that I am not judging Winters Bros. too harshly.There are too few words in our language to describe just how terrible these people are at their jobs. If you would like to know what its like to be repeatedly forgotten and lied to, though...these are your guys.My husband and I used their service for about a year and a half. We thought their rate was reasonable enough, considering they allowed us to mix our recyclables unbagged in the generously sizes bins they provide. Less waste: check. Also, i liked that the truck on our route had a mechanical arm to dump into the truck, rather than making the workers strain to lift them. We were scheduled for Friday pick-up, and were told to call by mid-afternoon if it seemed like they missed us.In that first year of service, they missed us 23 times. There are only 52 weeks in the year, and they forgot us 23 of those weeks. At first, I assumed they were getting used to the new stop, and was quite patient. We would just call when we got home on Fridays and found that nothing had been picked up. Since it was Friday, however, they often had to waited to swing back to us until Monday (if at all). Due to the missed weeks, that added up.My patience wore thinner and thinner as time went by, because the conversations never changed. They didnt pick up? Im sorry about that. Weird...there isnt any kind of note from the driver. Well get them out to you as soon as possible. Of course, Im writing a note to the manager right now. They should be looking into why this keeps happening. Literally every phone call, regardless of who I spoke with went exactly like this. Promises that it was being looked into, fake mortification on the staff members part, and evidence that no note had been left in the past. We even asked to PLEASE be moved to another day of the week, so we didnt have to wait a full weekend every time they forgot us, but were assured every time that it wouldnt be necessary.Finally, we were missed and rescheduled 4 weeks in a row. We were livid. I called, angrier every week listening to the same script, and finally said I wanted to cancel. So they put me through to Damien. Damien, the most convincingly thorough, apologetic liar yet. Big promises about him personally speaking to drivers and the head of the facility by the end of the day and getting back to me. He even said he was ending the call to go do so right away, and assured me that if they drag their feet getting an answer to him that afternoon, I would hear from him by noon on Monday.Monday afternoon came and went. No call. They got one thing right: Winters Brothers is all garbage, all the time.Fun fact: my new carrier hasnt missed us once.
Their workers are great. I totally forgot to bring my garbage cans out to the curb and they did it for me. They handled everything and placed my garbage cans back. That was so nice of them to do that for me
This is a horrible company with very bad business practices. They has failed repeatedly to pick up the garbage on the schedule days. Raised monthly fee without previous notice. Costumer service people are rude and confrontational. The company changed name without a notice or contract for the change.STAY AWAY FROM THEM. THEY CARELESS ABOUT THEIR COSTUMERS.
Stay away from winter brothers. Had the service where they would come down your driveway for about 8 months and Ive called maybe a dozen times to complain. Drivers leave garbage cans in the trees opposite where we store our bins. How hard is it to put the garbage cans back against our house? Seriously? Garbage dumped on our driveway numerous times. They dont pickup any cardboard they just throw it in our garden if you leave it on the garbage can. I have no idea how these drivers have a job with the way they behave when they come here. Every time you call they just say sorry and they do nothing about it. Seriously save yourself from being pissed off everytime you come home on a garbage day and get literally any other company to pickup your garbage (Photo is from todays pickup. Cans are no where near where we store them and garbage all over our driveway)
Some of the RUDEST customer service reps I have ever dealt . Even the managers are rude, arrogant and unprofessional. This company is a joke! A name change will not hide the fact that Winter Bros. now Oak Ridge could care less about their customers. All they want is your money! There are several OTHER companies that go above and beyond for their customers and Winter Bros/Oak Ridge is NOT ONE OF THEM! BEWARE!!
Stay away from here...comete rip off. They charge a 1 ton minimum if you run across the scales no matter if you have 100 or 500lbs....cost me $129.15 to dump 960lbs of wood siding.Every time you go to the mom and pop section the guys at the gate give you a different price even if dumping the same things based on how they feel at the time! More regulations and eyes are needed at this place.I recommend am going to Ridgefield and buying the $40 non resident permit....at least there they understand the point of using a scale and only charge you for what you actually dump.
Worst! They will cost you money and can’t rely on them to come on time or then even bring right dumpster. Even though they have been on site 5 time already to perform same task.. Suddenly the driveway has shrunk and can get in site after they just picked up a full can?Then blame a driveway and whatever they can think of. Then drop cans in unauthridied localtion which causes massive problems with deliveries. On top of that it was wrong size. They decided all this on there own without a call! Pure stupidity and not thinking. Can rely on them if you are scheduling tasks! Worst....don’t us common sense. Obviously poor management!
They are friendly. They do a great job removing our trash and help us with recycling too!
Love their garbagemen. Super friendly and always so helpful. They always help me bring in my 4 cans of trash when we have extra garbage out by the curb.
This is the worse company i have ever used. They stoped picking up the garbage for three weeks for no reason, when I called they said the garbage wasn’t outside so I had to send pictures of cámara that is outside my house to proof the garbage was always outside, and anyways they never came to pick up the garbage. They just stoped coming. I realize after I read previous reviews they do this with other people. I told them how unprofessional they are, and how many bad reviews they have and the customer service guy just told me they never read these reviews,,, in other words, they don’t care about the costumer.
I generally like to do business with the small underdog when given the choice between a mom and pop vs a corporation. But, Winter Brothers made me an offer I couldnt refuse. No matter who or what it is, you need to make disappear. If you can cut it up and stuff it in the container and theyll make it vanish. No questions, no fussing. Boom, its gone, fuhgeddaboudit.Customer service is first class, forgot to put the cans on the corner for the schedule drop. Call em and their happy to send a couple of the boys around the next day for the pick up. Theyll also make items to big to fit into the containers a memory, with a special pick up for a reasonable rate and a fair vig.
