I am divorced and on the state Husky dental plan. I had to go to this dental office instead of my regular practitioner for a root canal. I should have canceled when I took a video of the water coming out of the faucet in the dentists bathroom (coming out dark brown, photo attached). I brought this water issue to the receptionists attention but she didnt seem to mind or say she would mention it to anyone. Dr. Golnar took almost three hours to do my root canal and left me multiple times for a long time waiting in the chair with my mouth wide open. Not only that but she took 6-8 more X-Rays of my teeth during the procedure and the technician knocked me in the forehead with the X-Ray machine and neglected to apologize. Towards the end of the incredibly long procedure I started feeling pain in my tooth again and yelped Ouch!. Dr. Golnar dismissively said Oh my god..... as if I were annoying. Ive had three children with no medication and am a professional athlete; I can handle pain. I would never return to this office and would not recommend it to anyone I know.

Friendly staff. Got me in right away. I have horrible anxiety and had to have them stop twice during my cleaning because I was starting to panic. Very understanding. They werent annoyed with me. They play a good radio station but in the beginning of my panic attack (2nd appt) the new young girl started singing to the radio. I dont think she even realized she was doing it but it was enough to get me to focus back on the music playing on the radio instead of focusing and panicking about what was going on in my mouth. I will continue to go back to them and Ill recommend them if someone is looking for a dentist.

This is my 4th visit. Every time all they are interested in is taking X rays and trying to schedule deep cleaning and such. They would spend only a few minutes (less than 5?) on actual cleaning, perfunctorily (!). So every time when I leave after the visit I don’t feel my teeth have been cleaned at all. I don’t feel anything, other than disappointment. I have had very good experiences with other dentists elsewhere (before relocating to Danbury) and know what it feels like after a good cleaning. This is so disappointing.

New England dental is sad cuz the staff I’ve met are all great but the office manager ruins it for everyone. Dentists there complaining about the equipment being too dull or broken then used it on me anyway cuz they have no choice. No thanks. Medicaid may be Medicaid but it deserves better than that. Nomi the office “manager” puts on an act that is easy to see through. Place is a revolving door. Made me sit in a room halfway into root canal for 20+ minutes because they are understaffed somehow even with 5000 dentists working here. I say somehow when the answer, once again, is the office manager. Immoral and negligent

Didnt see them clean off equip between me & my friend. Our appts were done together. I had make assumptions & he had a female asst. Never saw anyone wash hands thank God they put on gloves!!! The staff & Drs are cold, no customer service!!! The Dr is rough & dont seem to care. They talk about u too each other not knowing I could understand what they was saying so I gave a cold treatment back to them. I would NEVER want Dr. Patel to do anything w/my teeth!!! The male Mgr was rude & dismissive bc I didnt want to schedule any suggested services there. Glad I didnt bc the place I called when I left there is half the price and much friendlier...I wouldnt even refer my enemy here!!!

Staff and Management (Nomi) are all super nice and helpful. They make you feel like family as soon as you come in. They always take the time to inform you of what needs to be done step by step. They keep the office clean and due to everything with Covid they only allow 1-2 people in the waiting room who dont have any transportation. Which I understand and appreciate that they care about everyones safety. The wait time isnt that bad, I understand they have to clean each room before allowing another patient to enter. The max that I have waited would be 20 mins which isnt long, you wait longer at a medical doctor office for about an hour. My whole family has been coming here for years and they have always treated us with kindness and respect.

I am not one to leave reviews expeccially negative ones because I am a bigger supporter of people and bussinness that do their best to do good. However, I have had three bad experiences at this dentist that I believe in three strikes your out. First strike was the service of my first visit. After the 20+ x-rays that they took of me teeth, they made me lay flat(after I told them I cant lay completely flat) then they made me wear sunglasses (a first for me to get a cleaning). During the cleaning they barely went around with my teeth. They told me I had many cavities (honestly I dont remember how many they said but I knew that was not possible as I have been to Dentist every 6 months and never before have trouble) Then they wanted to remove a good filling and refill it. When I asked about sealing my crack front tooth they didnt seem so concern with that. When I went to check out, the receptionist asked me to schedule a follow up appointment. I told her I would call her. She was persistent that I needed to schedule an appointment, again I told her I dont want to and I would call. She then answers an incoming call and begins to have a conversation with the patient on the phone as I am standing there late for work. After at least 5 minutes of standing there I tell her I will call. She frantically tells the other patient to hold on and gives me a paper with an appointment on it. Again I leave telling her I cant make it. That was just strike one.A week before my appointment I call the dentist and tell them I like to cancel. They say ok. A day before the scheduled appointment I get a text reminder about the appointment, again, I call and the receptionist tells me to ignore it. So I do...well having trouble with my front tooth I call the dentist three months later to help me with my crack tooth. This man receptionist answers the phone and starts off being very very rude. After I gave him my name he says to me I was a no show for my last appointment and goes over their policy. I tell him I cancelled that appointment several times, yet it was counted against me. Strike TWO!And for the final strike I will make it very easy, after kindly asking him if I can come in to bond my tooth and not for a filling. He starts yelling, yes yelling at me- belittling me as he explains the definition of filling and bonding to me. He literally makes me feel stupid and puts me down. I hang up feeling voliated and in awe of why someone would attacked me.Again, I never write reviews but I dont know how someone so unkind can work in costumer service. Well, I feel like I can only pray for that man and for New England Dental. Be nice to one another people and keep smiling... hopefully without a crack tooth!!!

I adore this dental practice. Prior to COVID I inadvertently came to know the name of every dentist and staff member in the office, I was there so often. Though I’d appreciated the practice for six years, having shown up only for periodic cleanings, suddenly I had cause to experience their expertise, professionalism and care for their patients. I began going 6 years ago because I went on Husky and the dentist Id been going to didn’t participate in the program. With New England Dental, for six years I went in, got my teeth cleaned, liked them, appreciated them, went home. Then I began biting and chewing 70% hard, dark chocolate. After a couple months of this too-frequent habit, one night in fall of 2019, the bottom left quadrant of my jaw burst into tremendous pain.A year later, I don’t remember details and sequence, but I do remember the Danbury office was extraordinary in their care and attentiveness. They reduced the pain and sent me over to their Brookfield office, where Dr. Moline ascertained a root canal was necessary. Except that I had to wait until Husky approved it – possibly 30 days or more. During this time the Office Manager, Nomi, and the Brookfield receptionist, Gabriella, were spectacular in communication, keeping me pain free, and juggling an unexpected appointment reschedule because Husky hadn’t responded yet. Both of them made what concessions they were able to so that I was assured of no delay the moment it was approved. This was not easy, especially for Gabriella, who maneuvers patients with the grace and agility of someone juggling 10 oranges and keeping them all in the air, considering Dr. Moline is booked weeks in advance and Husky approval is involved for many procedures. So I was grateful even before I landed in Dr. Moline’s chair who I am convinced, is the reason I still have that tooth. I was galvanized when he filled me in about how serious it was, but he assured me he’d do everything possible to save it. And he did. It was literally painless and for me, a total dental phobe (just ask Dr. Patil who, during my two crown appointments, had to tell me at least 500 times to relax my cheek!) The most traumatic parts of the experience were the evening the pain blew my head open, and when Dr. Moline told me how possible it was I’d lose my tooth. (His assistant, Jocelyn, who is also sometimes in the Danbury office and assisted Dr. Patil recently on my temporary crown, is excellent.)While this root canal waiting was taking place, Dr. Cho found a problem tooth in my back lower right. He replaced the filling, but the tooth was cracked, probably that hard chocolate again, and Nomi filed with Husky for a crown. For a while it seemed as if I was in one office or another twice every week. Then just as Nomi expected to hear if Husky approved the crown, COVID hit, and the office had to close. Just recently, Sept 2020, Dr. Patil did an excellent (and patient!) job with my temporary, and then permanent, crown.Margaret and Catherine are receptionists in the Danbury office and are kind, efficient, friendly and accommodating. Some of the staff has changed; there were a few faces I didn’t recognize when I was in last week, but I’m sure they are as proficient and attentive as the others. Every single person involved in the practice, then and now, makes going to the dentist so much easier than many of us find it to be!For some who criticized them for taking Husky patients – be grateful that they do. They are one of the very few in the area who have consented to treat Husky insurance. This is possibly a sizeable percentage of their patients. How much easier it would be for them if they only took normal dental insurance and cash. The paperwork, finesse and alternatives are likely time consuming and unrewarding, while patients wait frustrated and in pain, taking it out on the office staff. Nomi excels at smoothing it all out, including some likely very cranky patients. I’ll be off Husky in a month or so, but I will continue to be a patient at New England Dental, LLC.

Wait time is horrible. I waited over 40 minutes past my appt. time. When Dr. Sheikh came into the room he asked how I was feeling and answered for me before I could even express my tooth pain. Then he spent literally less than 10 minutes assessing and drilling my tooth (WITHOUT ANESTHESIA). He didnt even bother to inquire whether I wanted to be numbed or not, just went ahead and started drilling. I went to him months before when he drilled too much and overworked my tooth prompting the need to get a root canal. I was stupid enough to go back to him for more work done on that tooth. He again shaved away too much and said I would need to come back for a crown. Angrily, I told him he needed to add more filling (and when he did, it wasnt smoothed down well enough) He was rushing the whole time. At one point he moved onto the next patient stating that he will come back to me in a few minutes I will get a crown somewhere else. DONT TRUST HIM. Hes just out to get money from you!

I brought my 83 year-old father here because no other dentist would listen when he asked to have his teeth removed. They all behaved as if they knew better and never listened to his side even though he repeatedly asked for help for 2 years. When I called the office manager at New England Dental, in Danbury, CT he really listened and provided an immediate appointment. Domi the office manager said, We can advise you but you should have the final say about the care you choose. What a novel concept; why cant other dentists think this way.My father was treated by Dr. Shah Viral who I consider to be one of the most compassionate dentists Ive ever met. He ensured my fathers gums were completely numb before the procedure, and constantly checked to make sure there was no discomfort at any time. His assistant paid attention and knew exactly what to do without being asked. They were a great team and my fathers extractions went without a hitch.I am sorry to say the waiting room and Dental treatment rooms were not up to the standards I expect from my average dentist. I believe they care for the indigent and may not have the funding to offer a state-of-the art facility. But I would rather have a dentist who is competent, who listens and shows compassionate than a shiny new office. I will definitely go back to this office for more care in the future.

One star is only for good doctors. The person I will tell about ruins all good in this place. Here is my experience ... I am a long time patient who also brought to this facility my entire family (husband and two sons). On March 22nd I had a schedule appointment for root canal but on March 19th during my babys dr appointment I was told about potential medical procedure and had to reschedule my dental appointment, so I called right away and left the message. In meantime two days before the appointment New England front desk lady called to confirm my appointment so I figured out nobody probably got my message and called back. I was transfered to manager ...(lets call him Mr N, btw I knew that sooner or later I will be in very uncomfortable situation due to his personality and the way how he treated patients and also employees, I always prefer to deal with Mike) ...who I wanted to explain the situation but he kept interrupting me, constantly raising his voice, questioning if I really called, who i spoke to, what time, trying to prove I lie, yelling on me that Im cancelling long appointment (I always, absolutely always kept my appointments there but now have a real emergency and btw ... well ... at least this day patients will have theirs visits on time, usually there is waiting time 45-90 min) etc; he was commenting whatever I wanted to say but had no chance to finish any single sentence. I told him I will check my phone and tell him exact time time I called on March 19th. And listening to his rude speech I checked my phone and figured out I called the number changing one of 0s to 1 but still was not able to tell anything. The way how he talked to me simply led me to crying and I only said I will call later when will calm down and hang up. I couldnt talk. Im almost 50 yrs old, Im the mother, educated and serious person and nobody in my entire life treated me like that. I am sorry I am losing good dentists but I am not going to be a patient of this place anymore. So I found out about New England dental as an emergency appt. The office manager (sorry I did not get his name) was very accommodating and squeezed me in for an extraction after he saw how much pain I was in and took his time explaining to me how insurance worked. Doctor khalilli performed 2 extractions the day after and in 32 years I have to say I never had a more pleasant experience @ a dentist. I felt great afterwards, no pain at all and they were super friendly. New England dental will definitely be my first choice from now on.

I would NEVER recomend this place not even to my worst enemy. If i could give them 0 stars i eould. I went to this place last year for a cleaning and exam asked the doctor about changing some old silver filling I had gotten A while back, I wanted to change it to white fillings because I was very self consious about them every time i talked laughed you could see them, you know what the doctors response was she said oh well I would just leave them their no need to change if you were someone in the public eye like a movie star or soemthing then ok I would recomend changing them but as of now you should leave it as it is I was very upset because how can you tell a patient that you wont change her silver filling because she is not someone that is on the public eye I left this place and went to a different dental office that changed my silver fillings to white without a problem oh and they also found a cavity that the doctor at New England missed goes to show you how much they care about their patients.

I was refused service and told to leave because of my service dog. Just because I might not look like I need a service dog doesnt mean I should be rudely discriminated against. I had his tags, vest and identification present and visible and asked if theyd like to see his I.D; they said no and told me to leave. I dont recomend this place to anyone who has a service animal or to anyone at all.

I was suggested thru 1-800 dentist when my husband needed emergency dental work the same day. They told me they had no spots for emergency appointments and they were all booked up for the day! meanwhile, I had someone who was in absolute teeth and head pain. ! shame on them.
