HORRIBLE. I wasn’t going to resort to writing a review, but maybe I can get someone to answer me this way.I signed up for planet fitness back in May. Apparently when I did my checking account number was one digit off, so when I went to get charged for my account in June it was reversed. I’ve tried to fix this issue immediately, and here we are two weeks later and it’s still not fixed. They have a third party billing company in charge of it, that basically can’t help with anything. They couldn’t even tell me why my account was past due, I had to do my own research. I updated my checking account information, and then tried to pay for my bill through the automated service but it didn’t understand me. I called back to the billing company, and they told me I had to call my planet fitness location. I’ve called to speak to a manager 6 times now, who never seems to be in. I’m across the country, so I went into the planet fitness I’ve been going to, they can’t help me because it’s not the location where I signed up. They’ve been nice enough to continue to let me use the gym, because I told them what’s been going on with the billing issue. Planet fitness had no problem charging me my annual fee this week, but can’t seem to contact anyone to take care of this billing issue. Honestly, the lack of customer service is deplorable. If I could rate this negative stars I would. Using third party billing companies is not helpful! I could go on, but at this rate I’ve called this location 6 times, physically gone to a location, and have called the billing services 5 times. I wish I never signed up for this gym.Update: the person who reached out under this review and offered help, was no help. They made me repeat everything in this review through email, and then said they couldn’t help me resolve this issue, and that it would need to be forwarded to the manager in Daly City location. That was a week ago, and no one was reached out. I’ve also reached out to contact that replied to this email two more times, no response. Also, I would have taken this review down had they made any attempt to solve this.Do yourself a favor and don’t use this gym.

This gym is insensitive and discriminatory towards people with disabilities. I was refused entry due to a limited membership card by a very rude staff member named Leticia.. Instead of her helping me with a membership that would allow me entry she simply refused to allow me to come into the gym m. I told her I was disabled hoping she would help but she simply said I could not enter the gym. I would advise anyone with disabilities or any other forms of physical challenges not go to this gym as they are not considerate or sensitive to people with these particular challenges.

I like this gym. Its clean & not busy when I go. Nice staff. 6/16/21: My last day at this gym, since I have a credit at my old gym, so I have to go back to it. This Daly City gym was great.

So good to be back at a home gym! Got here 7:30am, first day opening. A handful of people in this early and yes,wearing masks- keeping their distance and working out hard. Greeted by staff encouraging wiping down of machines BEFORE AND AFTER USE! Thank you!! Staffer ANTONIO was so helpful with moving two machines that would cause injury if used( too close to the gate/ wall)one SUGGESTION-Consider placing 2 small tables with sanitizer and paper towels by the hydro massage areas. One by bed1 and by bed 6- this would encourage good hygiene.

You pay for what you get. Pros: Great price considering what you get from the facilities.Cons: dutie & unsatisfactory restroom & showers, pour over the phone customer service.

Today I went to the Daly city planet fitness to do my work out. I have been a member of LA fitness, however there is no locations in this area. At LA fitness they would always have a table set out where you can take your own spray bottle of disinfectant to clean machines. Here, it appears you have to spray it in a rag use machine go back and spray again to wipe down the machine for somebody else. I’m all for cleanliness. It was out of habit that I took the spray bottle. The representative was unprofessional and knows nothing about customer service. When a customer is talking to you no matter if they think you are right or wrong and he could have been professional and said, instead of you know the policy he walked away as to say he has the last word so he could get back to his cell phone. PF should teach there employees about customer service. You don’t just walk away when a customer is talking to you. If he was wise, he would had listened to what I was going to suggest. If you’re going to hire people teach them about customer service and proper etiquette when you are talking to customers. Bottom line is, I would never come back to this club because of the one employee.I’d rather give good ratings than low. Appreciate the Manager responding. However, it’s too late, and help mentor your staff. Thank you!

Such a bad customer service from the manager of this place because she could not give me a settlement to my case as simple as transferring my membership to Los Angeles. her answer was pretty basic, like “get a new membership over there because I cant do anything else for you “ I asked her who else could I contact since I did not want to lose the money that they were taking out of my account when I had canceled the membership since February 2020. It was 3 months plus annual fee. so then her answer was basic and unprofessional like as it is the same that everyone is going to tell you.

The staff was very nice and able to help me with everything I needed to start my time here with this gym.If theres one thing wrong, it would be that they have no rowing machines. This is probably my favorite cardio equipment. Please invest in some rowing machines.Also, if its not too much, ladder climbing machines and rope pulling machines would also be a nice touch.

It makes absolutely no sense and is grossly inconvenient that I have to either physically drive over to you guys to cancel or the other option is to write you a letter in the mail. What is this 1921??? Your website & app conveniently have options to downgrade or upgrade membership but absolutely no clear option to cancel.They wouldnt cancel my membership over the phone and demanded I come in person to Daly City in order to cancel. I tried to explain to them over the phone that I now live in the East Bay and is a huge inconvenience for me to have to drive out to Daly City. They were helpless and and didnt offer any solutions.The bathrooms are disgusting!

Very clean. Parking is usually near max capacity when Ive been there, but I always manage to find a space within a few minutes searching. Amazing tanning booths and beds (free for black card members, which gives you access to all Planet Fitness gyms that exist, and unlimited grade a tanning beds which you likely only need to tan once a week or less, n it leaves you looking very tan, and not orange). Showers are good. Equipment is very limited, and lots of machines are usually occupied. Which is problematic when they only have one or 2 machines for a particular muscle. On a positive, they do have about 5 smith machine bars, where you can do squats, lunges, deadlifts, bench, shoulder press, calves, shrugs, rows, etc.. At least one of those smiths tend to be available pretty often. But, they need more weight plates. Weight plates are sparse n you usually need to ask another person on a smith machine if you can use some of their limited plates. Its a bit uncomfy, but you dont have much other choice but to hope someones going really light weight, so you can borrow their few extras. Nevertheless, I always manage to get the plates I need pretty easy. But, imo, they need to get hack squat machines, new calf machines, at least 1 more leg press, more chest n shoulder machines, and at least one more abs machine. I usually choose 24hour in Daly City instead, whenever Im in the area since I have a membership at both. They have more machine varieties that I like to use, more weight plates, and more open/available machines (less packed gym). But, imo, PF DC is still a good gym.

Great place love it and there or absolutely no judgements. Everyone minds there business and is focused on whatever goal they came there for.

Its a great place to workout and I also like that they have alot of different equipments, and I must say being a black card member dose have its perks.

Went here for a couple years and moved out of the area in November and called to cancel my membership and they told me all I have to do is send them an email requesting a cancellation which I did. Then they kept charging me so I called again and they told me to send another email doing the same thing, so I did and I’m still being charged. So either the employees answering the phone are completely lying to me or they can’t do their jobs or both... I will be filing a complaint with corporate and doing everything I can to get my money reimbursed. I had always heard planet fitness is the worst about cancelling your membership but now experiencing it firsthand it is driving me crazy.

I came in to work out Saturday and Sunday morning this last week around 7am and they only had ONE person working!! This girl who is always on her phone and she is never able to help me because she cant leave the desk!!. It was TWO HOURS before someone else showed up and he wasnt helpful either because the girl just left when he came!! Its so frustrating because this is the only time I can come in and then to have such horrid customer service!! Hire new people!!

Barely any free weights for a Gym. $10 month you cant really complain.

Isnt open 24 hours like the one in san bruno. Not satisfied. Also mostly all the machines are worn out and horrible.

This is a no frills gym. It is reasonably priced and has a good deal of fitness equipment. Staff are Friendly and helpful. This place can get busy on weekday evenings... Just reopened after a long shut down. They are working to add more hours. If you like to workout with a buddy try the black card membership.

I’m thinking canceling my membership I’ve been a member for 3 years, one of the stuff members kept on bothering me while I’m working on the cardio machine, about my mask, what you want me to do it’s keeps on falling off plus it’s so hard to breathe when your running, you guys all about fitness Provide a mask that helps you breathe while running if not I mite as well cancel your cardio machine

As a visitor to club in 2019, I was impressed by the cleanliness of the club, kindness of staff. Looking forward to visiting them again, this coming Friday! Thank you for keeping Planet Fitness alive for us.

Pretty clean facility for the amount of usage it gets. Friendly staff with most of the machines working. Lunk alarm is a blast.

This place is alright, with two exceptions. 1. The shower beds arent always working right, and the staff never knows which ones arent working, even after youve told them. And 2. The wifi never works. Youll call ahead and ask if theh have wifi, and theyll tell you, yes, but when you get there to use it and the gym, the wifi SSID doesnt even appear, and theyll say, yea, its been put for awhile now.

Odd layout. Old gear. Place is under heavy construction so Im confident it will look amazing once completed. Its a gym, has what I need so I wont be snobby about its current state as I do see major changes underway. Nicest bathroom mirrors I have ever seen tho. :)

Recently remodeled and looking quite beautiful. It’s always super busy but for the machines available and the location, this is the perfect gym. It’s literally right next to the freeway entrance. The managers and staff are always extremely friendly!

Its not bad. I like multiple sections. Not a big fan of air freshener/cleaning liquid scent everywhere.

Looks like the don’t clean much and they haven’t changed the filter on the water fountain in awhile

This is the gym where employees call the cops on the gyms own members! Im not kidding! Im not sure if its a casual thing in the work culture of this gym, but this is what Kassie (the assisting manager) did to one of the members who was just minding his own business! No reconciliation. No lets go to my office and talk about it. Nope. Just I think you did a wrong thing, leave immediately, or Ill call the cops. I dont recommend this gym at all. Its low-quality with low-quality management.

Closed for a religious holiday Easter. How offensive to non christians. Staff doesn’t require masks to be properly worn. Staff doesn’t disinfect toilet stalls.

I had great results here before covid. Time to get back in the game . This is the right place

Almost impossible to cancel a membership, they wont refund you for unexpected charges. The gym doesnt inform you when they are re opening like other gyms do. Planet fitness is a trap.

As a current Black Card Member I have to say that Planet Fitness is one of the best gyms Ive been to hands down! Not only do they have a great facility but, their app also has cool workouts you can follow and allows you to track your progress. My favorite post workout activities are their massage chair and hydro massage!

I was in the gym on March 15th 2021...1 of the workers came up to me as I was on the treadmill halfway into my workout said that they needed to WD40 the machine Interrupting my workout ....could of waited 15mintues kind of rude

Theyre a gym without much more than that. I cancelled my membership because I just couldnt get there as often as I wanted to.I stopped going preCovid, cancelled post CoVid. Looks like they did some renovations. I recommend paying for the black card

Terrible gym. I dont recommend it to anybody. The gym is packed with treadmills but missing enough supply of weights and equipment. Its poorly designed. The machines are always occupied and you need to wait, which ruins your workout.UPDATE: I canceled my membership last week because of Kassie (the assisting manager). She interrupted my workout to insult me and order me out of the gym as if she owns it! She even called the cops on me! Yes, in this gym, employees call the cops on the gyms members! Im not returning to this gym under no circumstance. Shame on the gyms owners for sheltering such a nasty employee.

Clean nice equipment.

The place is open but closed. This gym has gone down hill. The hours when it open back up did not run the full 24. The gym does look open but only to a handful. I can see people inside today working out. 12/1/2020 the TVs are all playing and the light a mostly on.

Did you guys close down again too? Cause of the Covid-19. Im not sure if the Temporary Closed is legit. Other than that. Planet Fitness is my go to gym and I get a good workout there.

I went to the gym today and their computer system was down. Everybody was told to sign in on paper. To my surprise they only had 1 pen for everybody to sign in with. Very unprofessional considering how strict things are suppose to be during COVID-19. They also selectively pick and choose who to tell to wear their masks correctly. Management should really be on top of this.

Everything is available, I think they should limited the amount of people coming in at a time cause it was packed last time I went.

I went here on Tuesday night. Its good that they have rearranged the machines to make more space for social distancing. However, >70% of people in the gym didnt not wear masks! The staff were all wearing masks but it seems they dont have masking wearing policies for members or they dont enforce it. Its quite sad and disturbing that people dont take COVID seriously.

This place is a joke! Managers never around, always get told to email the manager for information and help. Ive been getting over charged and right now they charged my account during the pandemic. Took me a while to cancel and when I Finally did they still charge me and wouldnt give me a refund. All they offering is a free month at their gym. Its not free if its already been paid for. Cant contact corporate, manager never around to talk to in person or over the phone and emails back n forth are a joke!. Dont recommend this place at all. Stay away!

Gym looks great after remodel and staff is nice. Unfortunately, management doesn’t want to step up to the plate to replace missing or stolen equipment. My first day I used the Ab Wheel in the core workout area and it worked great, ever since then, it is no where to be found. I reached to out to management multiple times and they have decided to not replace the missing Ab Wheel. Just plain lazy. It cost me $25 to get my own on Amazon. Thanks for nothing!

Planet fitness is awesome. Good friendly staff. No one bothers you when youre working out. I gave it 3 stars because of the parking. The company that manages the parking has no affiliation with planet fitness but it is because of them and their restrictions that I am considering cancelling my membership to go someplace else that is parking friendly. This location, the company that manages the parking restricts you to 2 hours and my workout is 3 hours long. I dont know how much the citations are but they do give out citations if you go beyond the 2 hours. The last time I was there I had to cut my workout down by 33% and just did not get the benefit or the results that I was looking or hoping for and if this is going to be the continuing trend then this facility is not going to work out for me.

Im pleased with the many locations I can use if and when I travel. Theres no pretentiousness at all and the staff, from top to bottom are awesome. You cant beat the price point!

Decent sized gym, staff seeme kind, got a 100% free 30-day Black Card membership for being new member. Facility wasnt very clean tho despite all the workers walking around with cleaning supplies.

NO hot water in shower and only ONE available stairmaster. One is broken and the other is blocked off for social distancing.

Parking lot is horrendous. Thankfully, they have a guard trying to keep some sensibility there. Pretty good use of such a small space, except for the stretching area which has basically no equipment and only a few old worn out stretching mats. Seems that they dont have air conditioning as it was oppressively hot in there today.Ive been to PF all over the country traveling for work. This place is about average to slightly below average.

I used to go to the 24hrs fitness in Daly City, by now I LOVE planet Fitness millions times better. Good price (I have the black card for $21.99, which I can always bring a guest in and I have access to everything, very friendly staff, very clean environment and plenty of variety equipments for your workouts. I’m loving it in my second week!

I wish they had a few more locations across the SF area. An option for daycare would have been nice as well. If they had these options we would have possibly stayed at a different location. The location we did go to though was not the cleanest and smelled like a locker room unfortunately.

The construction is almost done which is making the experience better every time I visit this gym. But, the dirty showers in the ladies locker room need more attention! The Black card room is nice.

They are now open during the shelter in place. Not a lot of people. Great for a workout.

All the equipment you will need. They keep the place clean and routinely sanitize the bathrooms and the rest of the gym. Hella chill

The staff here is always very kind and upbeat. I visit this location to workout in the morning as well as the evening (depending on how my work schedule shapes up.) It doesnt matter what time, they are always friendly. The equipment here is always available and when something is out of service. I see the staff attending to it in the same week which I really respect. Yes, the mens locker room can be a little smelly. But I see the staff placing odor friendly devices everywhere and constantly tending to the well being of the locker room. So to be fair, I have to chalk that up to the people who are inhabiting the locker room. Ive had a membership at 4 different planet fitness locations nation-wide. I would highly recommend this location. Yes, the parking is tight. But you are in silicon valley and they provide as much space around the building as they can. So I respect that much more than I do the complaints and poor reviews.

Planet Fitness is a delicious gym, a new experience is taking shape, excellent decor serene and comfortable colors, excellent staff, knowledgeable courteous and good looking. I joined a couple of weeks ago, its awesome. Big thanks to management, designers and construction company and workers.

Thought I would share my experience at Planet Fitness! Met Dave the parking attendant, yes they have a parking attendant here as spaces are very limited! Yesterday he had put a note on my van stating that I had parked in two spaces although they were not delineated very well and he made sure to write that on the note. So I understood. After reading the note I moved the van. I then went and found him, talked to him and he said I was okay. I went inside and they gave me a sticker to put in my window, a Planet Fitness sticker. Parking is a hot commodity at this particular location.Today when I came back they are paving the parking lot so there are even less spots. Theres probably about 1/3 the spots. So Im driving around the building and actually drive around twice and then I see Dave! I drive up to him I said hey brother, because I didnt know his name yet. He found me a spot to park the van..! He actually guided me in backwards to be able to fit in the spot. I wouldnt have made it without him! I then thank him again after getting my gym gear. He then introduced himself to me as Dave. We had been calling each other brother before... A+ experience

So I have been training there almost a year and they were no complain until this employee target me for some reason I don’t know if she’s profiling me or something I don’t know but she’s always rude and told me that we are closing at 9 o’clock only for me and she didn’t spoke to anyone else around me and one week before I had a bag with me and she told me oh we have a policy that you are not allowed to have a bag with you I said okay Okay. But the day that she told me you need to leave 9 o’clock There were two people next to me they had the same size of the bag that I had and she didn’t tell them anything.The logo is no judgment zone I call it profiling zone.02/16/2020It was 8:25pm

Just signed up a little over a week ago and I am more than happy! The staff seem to take great care in cleaning all the equipment! The bathrooms/showers are very clean! The staff is super friendly and helpful! I have not had trouble finding parking, but I dont generally go during busy hours.

I usually get up early on weekends to go to the gym, and was a little surprised that it did not open until 7 a.m. on weekends. The parking was not bad, but most people would not notice that there is a parking garage that belongs to them right around the side with additional parking if the front parking lot gets full. The locker room was undergoing renovation at the time, but I was pleased at how they have dispensers full of body wash already in the Stalls

Great gym, they have an event where every third day of every month they give out free pizza from Cybelles pizzeria which is just right next to the vicinity. I would recommend going on Sundays or any other when the place is less packed. You can get more workouts done that way. In fact, around the lobby there is a schedule that pin points days where it is less crowded.

Cheap membership but most of the front desk staff are super rude never smile. Never engage with customers or even say hi or goodbye. They seem unhappy with their job. Nice remodel but showers arent thoroughly cleaned, walls full of hair. Ive left the gym a few times because of these issues. Machines need to be thoroughly cleaned and some need repairs. Hope these issues are addressed soon.

I have been to quite a few different Planet Fitness locations. Those I have been to are all pretty nice. This Planet Fitness parking lot was difficult to find parking in. I have a large vehicle and there was no room to maneuver. The lot is shared with a couple of other small businesses, but it seems the gym should have this parking all to itself. This gym is way too busy to have this small of a parking lot.
