Good gym, great equipments and even better team! Was in SF for a couple of months, joined this gym. Shout out to GK, he went out of his way to help me deciding my plan and all.And super clean and well maintained equipments! Plus the members all are nice and helpful. and wipe down their equipments all the time, Which is good to see!
My go to gym. Trainers are very inconsiderate for blasting music while people are using the cycle room and the studio. Thats fine if there is a scheduled class. If the room isn’t being used for a class, please keep your music to yourself. This has happened multiple times. If you’re ok having your workout ruined, then pls come here lol
I am very happy that they reopened the sauna. A very clean but affordable gym in a good location. They have very good classes with good instructors that are very supportive.
This is a decent gym in daly city, with good equipment. Gym goers are friendly and respectful which is always a bonus at any gym. The only complaint I have is they let gym members work out BAREFOOT, which should be a health and safety violation especially since we are in the middle of a pandemic and you also dont know if these people have athletes feet. 🤢 The other complaint are some of the personal trainers who like to mean mug, and of course its the trainers who look like they have never used the equipment at the gym they work at. 💁🏽♀️
Prpper mask use is not being enforced. Same repeat offenders with their mask down in the mornings
Dont join, they will make cancelling your membership an absolute nightmare of a time and money sink, possibly impacting your credit score along the way. When I attempted to cancel my membership they continued charging me, despite receiving an email response from their management saying my membership had been successfully canceled, which took 3 30+ minute phone calls to resolve. A few months later and Ive now received legal notice from a collections agency that theyre trying to collect an additional $50 despite multiple calls with their billing representatives saying I didnt owe anymore. Go to a different gym, this place is a scam
Crunch fitness is my go to workout joint. Will return very soon!
Best gym in the area hands down! Very clean and attentive to thier members. Great job handling the covid health and safety requirements. Everyone masks up.Staff regularly cleans the equipment.
Post Covid quarantine this gym offers late hours closes at 11pm opens at 5am. It is clean, you can use the shower and is not overly crowded.
They moved the gym outdoors in the parking lot. At first I wasnt to thrilled but actually like it now. Good equipment but can get packed at times.
Love this gym! Clean, free parking, friendly staff and members have been very respectful of rules in place for Covid-19. Also, great Personal Trainers!!!
Clean, well laid out gym.
Great gym! I recently quit Equinox (Market St) due to overcrowding at most times. Crunch Serramonte is fantastic. The staff are attentive and pleasant, locker rooms are clean (could do with an update) and guests/members have all been pleasant folks. They have a wide range of kit, and good availability of the essentials - squat area, benches, free weights, as well as a good range of machines.
Will change to 5 stars once they go back to their usual 5am opening time.
The gym itself is decent, but like most gyms, they are completely sleazy when you try to cancel your membership. They wont let you cancel by phone. If you try to cancel by email, they will ignore your email. The only way to cancel is to go down there and catch coronavirus.
I had a bad experience during Covid 19. They charged me for months I never used the gym and was unaware they were open . Our county open then closed open then closed . Crunch made sure they got their money when they were approved to open and charged me without even letting me know they were open . After speaking to a rep there, they were unable to help, I ended up canceling my membership . Not happy .
My happy place
Oh! Woow! They charge me auto pay $6.56 plus $32 for october1, 2020, everybody becarful on giving your debit card auto pay for crunch fitness, they steal, and they dont explain from the beginning how much they going to charged due to the pandemic, they did not send me no emmails, regarding the $6.56 recruiting, I havent gone to their gym for 2 months in a half, if yall want your money jeopardized go to to crunch fitness, the manager told me I wont get no refunds for the contract I pay. Also they look at you like your dum stupid, if I could I wont give them no stars at all! They deverved it!
The vibe tho🙌
They are stealing from me.We moved out the city and couldnt cancel the subscription in person due to covid. Now they are still charging me even though I called and canceled and the person answering the phone always tells me theres nothing they can do about it. We are going on 50 $ and counting. Pick another gym.
Love their food! Great service and staff!
Full gym equipment for the serious workout.
Very clean and nice staff
Good environment, staff is Covid-19 aware and enforcing people to wear a mask over the intercom twice during my workout. Good experience 👌
Do not go to this gym. They scam you with hidden fees and make it seem very appealing upfront while trying to get you to join their gym then they screw you over. If I could give this gym 0 stars I would for the HORRIBLE customer service
The team was cool. Facilities and amenities are nice. They have a wide variety of equipment to support the major training modalities. If you dont have a membership its worth the look.
This is a review for Giovanni (Gino) Lozada, Personal Trainer at Crunch - Daly City. Gino and I started working together in May, with the initial goal of losing 20 pounds. Over the past 3 months, Gino has helped me to change my life in many ways. Not only have I have lost 26 lbs, reduced my body fat by 6%, and improved my overall strength, I now enjoy exercise, eat healthier, and have more energy. Gino is a trainer who truly cares about his clients, and is fully invested in our success. We check in regularly on my diet, adjusting as needed to ensure I am hitting my macros and getting the proper nutrition, but also making changes that are sustainable. He keeps things interesting by changing up our workout routines, keeping things interesting, and continuously pushing me. I have truly enjoyed working with Gino, and would highly recommend him to anyone else looking to lead a healthier life.
I became a Crunch member about six months ago. The gym is great! Is clean, good equipment and excellent coaches. Two weeks ago they charged on my account the equivalent of 2 monthly memberships. I thought that was weird and contacted the gym, surprisingly he told me that the amount was due to the maintenance of the gym, and that the same amount will be charged every six months. The most upsetting thing in this situation for me is that at any moment I was informed about this maintenance fee. Thus, I told them that I wanted my money back, since I was never informed about it, but the attendant said it wasnt possible to do that. I sent them several emails and tried to contact through their app too and all they said was that this was a fee for the maintenance again. They never replied any of my other emails, even though they say it might take up to 48 hours to get a reply. Funny is that in order to make me become a member, they contacted me at least 4x a week, and now that I have an actual problem and want to speak with them I get no replies. How can I trust an establishment like that with my credit card information? I feel like I was robbed, and unfortunately I dont feel like being part of their club anymore.
I appreciate the wide variety of equipment, they really do have something for almost everyone, but its a little annoying to walk in and see every single squat rack and bench in use, but 3/4 of all the machines and treadmills and ellipticals and bikes (which take up most of the gym) are not even in use. They just need to take a look at what their members actually use the most.
Playing around on YouTube, unable to tend to clients request/Questions. Need more diversity.
Joined this place a couple weeks ago. Clean, spacious, and convenient. Lots of equipment for power lifters, Olympic lifters, cardio junkies, mobility WODers, and group class lovers. The group class room is huge and is awesome for focused movement and mobility work when there are no classes.Everyone seems to be focused on their workouts which is good. Not a lot of BS. Nobody seems to have bad attitudes.Gets a little bit crowded during peak times in evenings but even then it isn’t that bad. Also has childcare for very reasonable rates - big plus for parents like me.Very happy I joined this place 👍
Good vibe
Love this gym! The staff are just a group of marvelous people. I have been member here for more than two years and I go to this gym 4 -5 times a week. Even when i dont feel to do heavy exercise I just go to do some light cardio as I just love the atmosphere of this place. Thank you Crunch
Ive been a member since February of this year. The classes are awesome! Listen to the excellent instructors and you will see RESULTS. The staff is very friendly. They make you feel like youre part of the family. Positive vibes always! And its very clean. Towels, shampoo, conditioner, lotions, shower gels, tampons, mouth wash and even qtips to clean your nasty ear are all provided in the bathroom lol. Thumbs up!
Not as clean as San Mateo Crunch. Some exercise equipment needs to be replaced. Too much people regardless of time. When I first started with this gym it was nice and clean but over the years it steadily declined.
Not good
I had a great time in the Zumba class today. I will be back!🤗
The staff is so friendly and the place is always clean. Great classes keep me coming back for more!
So far so good. Round weights. Multiple power racks. 10 and 25lb bumper plates, with plenty of room to setup deadlift. Thats all I need.I dont do classes or use any machines, so no comment there.Other perks: Clean facility. Friendly staff. Towel service. Sauna. Shower.Only downside is, I would like if staff were nazis about putting plates back where they belong. Enforcement on this would be great. Hunting around costs 5-10 extra minutes per session. Not a deal breaker though.
Lately also the shower area is always filthy. The San Mateo location never has these problems, seems to be run much better. This location also really needs new towels like yesterday
Great place to work out... No judgements.
Alot of things could be in Maintenance..but its not as busy as other gyms and theres always a bar available
I moved to another city and called them to cancel my membership but they said that cant do this by phone, so I need to visit store in person. You should definitely improve your service.
I haven’t been there about 2 months, I called to cancel my membership, but they still charged my money. I called November, and I know why they didn’t. Because December they charged annual fee. NO COMMENT
Awesome gym great space. Its huge and lots of room to workout never too crowded plus great customer service from the General Manager Mahogany Lenard. I totally recommend Crunch Daly City.
Love the Gym, Martin very help full and friendly, the gym is very appealing and spacious, I would recommend it to everyone, they have great classes. its just great overall!!
Fun n excellent place to workout, friendly helpful staff.
NEW UPDATE AS OF 3/18/19:Lately, the gym has become a mess. I took off 4 stars from my original rating. The women’s locker rooms are filthy, the towels have stains in them more than half of the time I use them and there have been times where there are no tissues in the locker room at all including toilet paper, Kleenex and paper towels. Each time i grab a towel, I find myself in checking them for stains since they’ve been more frequent. I don’t even feel comfortable using them to wipe my face so I use Kleenex tissues after my showers to wipe my face. I’ve gotten multiple eye infections potentially from using these towels on my face. They constantly close the women’s locker rooms because they don’t have female staff to clean and maintain them so they use male staff. Today I was prevented from my usual workout because they closed the women’s locker room for 2 hours. No future notification was given about this. Usually they send email notifications but not this time. Wasted my time coming here. In my opinion, they should shut locker rooms down before or after operating hours to do maintenance to reduce any inconvenience to paying club members because that’s customer service. I asked if I could go in to at least get my stuff from my locker but they said no because there would be male maintenance staff. Infuriated, I left. Considering cancelling my membership and going back to my old gym if conditions don’t improve here. As you can tell from my past reviews, this gym started off really good but lately, I don’t know what’s been going on. Perhaps new management, undertrained new staff members and/or lack of appropriate staff members to clean and maintain the appropriate locker rooms. The San Mateo Crunch location is a lot better and out of all the times I’ve gone there, they’ve never had to shut down locker rooms for maintenance or cleaning. I wish I lived closer to that location to make it my main location. I give that location 5 stars for sure.——————UPDATE: I put a final star to make my review 5 STARS because the staff has really outdone themselves in making me feel welcome and comfortable in this gym. Special shoutout to Kirby for noticing my hip adductor injury from afar due to my limping/walking. I was trying to foam roll and stretch the pulled muscle when he came over to ask if I was okay. He used his nifty little massage gun to help alleviate my pain for a good 20 mins or so even though I wasn’t even his client. He is super knowledgeable in the different muscle groups and nerves and how to prevent injury. It’s no wonder his title is “Master”! Another special shoutout to Mikel for being so friendly and approaching me, asking if I needed any help with my deadlifts. He’s super knowledgeable in powerlifting forms and he corrected my deadlift form! He was so patient in watching my form to make sure I was doing everything right to target the correct muscle groups during a deadlift. I see him and Kirby often at the gym and they both always smile and cheer me on during my workouts which motivate me 😊 also another shoutout to Jade, my trainer. She gave me really good insider tips and tricks to keep fit, eat healthy and showed me awesome functional training exercises. She was always so patient during our training sessions and conformed the sessions to suit me which I really appreciated 😊! I hope a manager sees this review and passes along my commendations to these amazing people ❤️—————Wow! So far so good! I usually go to Planet Fitness but I thought it’s time for an upgrade and I’m glad I stopped by this gym. This gym looks pretty high end in my opinion and is a major upgrade from PF. They’ve got a sauna, towel service, amazing classes, great functional training area with a punching bag, TRX ropes, battle ropes, a tire, and so much more! They’ve got a pretty wide range of cardio machines as well. So far, it’s been pretty nice and I even get excited to go to the gym now 😊 it doesn’t smell bad either. The busiest I’ve ever seen it was probably Saturday morning, they ran out of towels.
Always clean and neat. Nice gym to become a regular to.
7:15 AM Sunday and there’s a bunch of us waiting for someone to come and open. Totally Unacceptable.
My sister becomes a victim of this place. She cancelled her membership a long time ago and she still got charged even though she already cancelled her membership. I also found some people became victim of this place. Me and my sister tried to call this place but they never respond to our request to cancel the membership. DO NOT EVER SIGN UP OR YOULL BE CHARGED FOREVER!
This is a great gym in Daly City/South San Francisco. Ever since the Ballys on El Camino had to shut down, a lot of their members have been struggling to find a decent gym with a decent price equivalent to Ballys. It would be a great opportunity for someone to take the El Camino location and rebuild a better gym.The staff here is very friendly and the facility is really clean, maintenance and custodians are constantly working the entire place so theres never a chance for dirt or mess. It can get busy during the usual peak time but its manageable.
Great spot friendly staff😊
Very non-garbage, A++
Chill crowd, clean, parking, and a sidewalk juice around the corner.
Very clean gym, lots of equipments, they have lockers, showers, and sauna..
Lots of fitness equipment and friendly staff
Very clean place
