I have had a membership with Hunger In the Wild for well over a year now and they have always been so helpful and encouraging! Whether it’s helping on my technique or advising on weight and progress the coaches have been extremely helpful! I recently ended up in a situation where I couldn’t go to the gym in person and Kyle pushed me in a direction to get my own weights and workout at home. He helped advise what I needed equipment wise and to be able to get me where I wanted to go! I have never had the service I received here and don’t ever see myself leaving!

Ive been a member of Hunger in the Wild since Dec.2019 and I can say Im very pleased with the support I receive from Kyle Dosterchill & his team. My goal was to build strength over time coming of a strenuous body building competition in 2018. What I needed was a concise plan I can follow, and sure enough HITW delivered. Over time I developed the confidance I needed to work towards Olympic weightlifting which the team is well versed in coaching. Under the watchful & critical eye of the training team, I feel confident in developing this time consuming yet rewarding skill. Ive gained strength but more so, the skills to take on a well rounded program that doesnt allow me to fail but generously build. I am grateful for the confidence they have in me and their process, its only made me better.
Hunger in the wild is the best Olympic weightlifting gym in Dallas, Tx. There’s no other facility that competes period…Their programming is well thought out and deliberate. They cater towards each level of client.The environment is welcoming and communal. Saturdays are by far the best day to hit a PR!Coaching staff is great.From the short time I’ve spent there I’ve progressed significantly in my clean and jerk technique.
I am going to be blunt here. This is the place to get stronger.The environment fosters (if anything, FORCES) growth. The air is different, their approach to programming is methodical and concise. It is apparent that the coaches, staff, members, and all in between are there with purpose and dont simply act as cheerleaders. They critique, cue, and facilitate progression. 6 weeks time here has show more growth than a year of self training.
Kyle and his team are experienced and know how to assist anyone, at any level, to achieve their goals and desired results. This is the best investment one can make to improve their health and life. I wholeheartedly recommend Hunger in the Wild!
I cant say enough good things about this place. The level of coaching Ive received here is second to none. Not only has my technique and skill level improved significantly, but theres such a focus on form that Ive done it all while being injured less. The facilities and equipment are top-notch, and the gym community itself is fantastic. Whether youre a former crossfitter who wants to take your Oly lifts to the next level, or brand new, this is the place to be.

As someone who has gone through plenty of different gyms in the DFW area (24 hour, Anytime Fitness, Equinox, Tom Landry, etc.), I can finally say I found a gym that feels like home. I love coming to HITW and I actually look forward to my work outs now. Everyone has been extremely welcoming and the strength I’ve built in the several months I’ve been here is impressive. Natalie has taken great care of me and not only have I seen amazing progress but my knees feel better than ever. Thank you Natalie and HITW team!

Hungerinthewild is more than a gym, it’s a family all the staff are extremely genuine and go above and beyond to help. If your looking for sustainable progress and longevity of built relationships this is the place for you. Deciding to attend the gym was one of the best decisions of my life, I can already tell the difference in my power output in such a short amount of time. Hunger in the Wild is a great environment to workout. The coaches are more than willing to help out regardless of what level of weightlifting youre at. This is one of the best and most welcoming gyms Ive ever belonged to. The coaches really care about your progress and safety and make each workout fun. The people here care about fitness, but dont take themselves too seriously. No matter your fitness level, you will feel welcomed and at home here. I guarantee it.
This group is wonderful. Clean, Socially distanced. Excellent coaching and training during all classes and available individually because staff is on hand all day. I have been going there less than a year, have lost 30 lbs and feel fabulous with strength, conditioning and nutrition program. Ps--Im in my 70s, have never done this before, and am strong and in a safe environment!

HITW is different then other gyms I’ve been to over the years. Unique approach to strength training and conditioning and I’m all for it. I’m not someone with a background in strength training and they’ve made it very accessible. Cannot recommend enough.
Awesome coaches that help you get the most out of your workout/program no matter if youre a seasoned lifter or just getting started. Its been a nice change to have some accountability and encouragement to push a little harder, especially after working out on my own was plateauing and getting stale.
Mario and the team at HITW are phenomenal trainers and coaches. I came in completely out of shape and in the last few months have seen my body get stronger, my energy go up, and my PRs get busted. They are a very positive atmosphere and Mario is one of the most encouraging people in my life. So very grateful I found them!

Hands down, the best coaching I’ve ever received for Olympic Lifting, Strength & Conditioning, and Mobility. Kyle, Meesh, and Natalie are masters of their sport and some of the most humble, selfless people you’ll ever meet. Heard about Hunger in the Wild through a friend and finally decided to check it out because I had been wanting to learn Olympic lifting but didnt know where to start. This is definitely the place. Great no-frills gym atmosphere with plenty of lifting platforms and bumper weights. Kyle, the owner, was very friendly and welcoming and personally worked with me for over an hour. I cant say enough about his teaching style and expertise - very impressive. Great guy too. Also a great group of regulars and newcomers made it a great experience all around - Ill definitely be back. Highly recommend this gym especially if you are looking to learn or improve Olympic lifting while working with a great teacher. Go eat.
I am a fitness professional, and I also struggle with the mundane issues of any gym-goer (overweight, work, fatigue, etc). I listened to a Tim Ferris podcast on Olympic Weightlifting and got stoked to try it. Ive got some injuries so had to find someone really good. Fortunately I found Kyle. Hes the man. Super humble and loves what he does. Ive been working with him for a couple months now. Hes got me on a plan of learning proper form, increasing flexibility, and then building up strength. I love the thoughtfulness he brings to his approach. Pricing is also remarkably reasonable for the expert training.

I know Kyle (owner) through when I played college football at Lindenwood University in St. Louis, MO. When I got there, he no longer played football, but instead was a member of the Olympic weightlifting team. When I had season ending shoulder surgery in 2013 I had reached out to Kyle for guidance on a workout plan for the off season to get me back to where I needed to be. Through his plan, I was able to bounce back faster than ever and become stronger and more flexible which helped me on the football field. Flash forward to present day. I now play for the Cincinnati Bengals in the NFL. I have been able to work with some of the best strength coaches in the US, and I will say Kyle is right up there with the best. I still seek guidance on off season workouts because what he has provided me has worked 100%. I came to Hunger In The Wild as a “self taught weightlifter” quickly learned that my technique needed some overhaul to really progress my competitiveness with the sport. Within a month my lifts were more crisp and technically sound because I was actually able to put the strength I had into the barbell. The lifts are becoming second nature and missing lifts is starting to be a rare occurrence. Overall Kyle has made twice the weightlifter I could have became on my own and it seems like I am only getting better every time I train at HITW. Kyle is a great teacher of the lifts and is very relatable when trying to correct any technique issues. So if your in the DFW area and are looking to become a better weightlifter or just enjoy weightlifting HITW has great coaches and a great community.
