Staff are Very cool. Treat folks with Respect. AND theyre absolutely following All COVD protocol. Great Experience!
Fitness Center unaccessible. The service desk next door was handing out free hand sanitizer and got the nerve to cop a little bit of a attitude after explaining the gyms closed she needs help 🆘. I love Baylor. Cant wait for another fitness center.
Ive tried to respond. Your link doesnt work. I sent numerous times. The Tom Landry facility has become a place that cater to rich white children for their swimming lessons. They give more attention to them and their needs than people with disabilities. One of the PT instructors is very condescending and shows disrespect in her treatment of elderly. They let you do water, with very limited sessions and then graduate you with nowhere to go. I have literally spent months trying to find a water therapy that I can get into. Now the BIR is opened and wont allow us to come to that either. Landrys a great place as long as youre rich. For those of us without money, we are SOL.*Update:I attempted numerous times to go to the link to give you more facts about the therapy I received and my unhappiness with this facility but it will not go once I hit submit. I became frustrated and was unable to get it to go. Please tell me who to call or who to contact and Ill send them the letter.
This used to be a great place for water aerobics and lap swimming in a large pool, but its all going away. The entire 1st floor will be shut down for renovations all summer. Theyre replacing it with a small 4 ft wading pool......Such a disappointment. Because of my knees, I must exercise in water. Guess Im looking for a new pool.
My visit was very pleasant didnt have a long time to wait
They have a great Aquatic Therapy program. The instructor and her assistants are wonderful.
Outstanding, recovering from MI ST. These guys/gals are saving lives.
I wasnt in the actual fitness center but I was in the general building and overall, the building is clean and I like that there is a valet. Furthermore, I like the free parking (hard to get free parking in downtown--albeit its more of the Deep Ellum area). There is a 3-hour time limit on the parking though.I was on the 7th floor and I enjoyed the views of Downtown from there. The restrooms were clean and the reception area is welcoming. Great place!
Teresa at 4th floor occupational therapy is THE BEST EVER.
Best health club ever. So sorry it it is closing.
The folks here are so awesome - everyone of them. To have health issues can be disconcerting. And to have wonderful people as your nurses and doctors and support staff around you encouraging you, makes all the difference in the world. God Bless Baylor and all of its employees.
Central location, employees are nice. I had my first appointment with Albert today and I really feel like he cares about my healing!
Its been sold to some other fitness company and theyre in the process of demolitioning the 25 meter pool.😞sad and disappointed!
Great place for physical therapy. . Great people.
Always a great opportunity to recover from inadequate health care. The water therapy is key to the entire bodies ability to heal.
Friendly staff, very knowledgeable, clean, experienced, overall a great place
This is a nice place where the therapists really care about the patient I am taking physical therapy and my therapist name is Kelly shes beautiful great to work with she works me hard but its for my own good so it is greatly appreciated I also take occupational therapy which is great too this is a great place
The gym no longer has a heavy bag Because of covid. But that sounds LAZY not to sanitize it like you do all gym equiptment. The building is streamline watch out for one of the lying white woman on the 4th floor?
I used to love working out of this place especially because how clean the equipment and the facility is. The machines are always available and never too crowded. They also have a great swimming pool. Cant wait to get back to working out here.
I love this place, the staff is so friendly.
Easy entrance and healthy environment‼️‼️‼️👌
Been a member since the Mavericks used to practice here. Its a large facility with good balance of cardio, aquatics, free weights, and machines. Lots of classes and consistent staff of trainers. BTLFC is not a trend setter but rather a steady ship. Parking can be an issue depending on time of day. Not terribly fond of management but generally not an issue. Theyre managing through the reopening well and look forward to getting classes and the locker rooms reopened.
Addresses your physical and health issues. Beautiful architecture and wonderful and supportive staff. Thank you Texas Joint and Spine.
I love that place very much Baylor my favorite
Great place to go. They treated me so good. I cant complain about anything. The Staff was so pleasant.
I have to agree about equipment. This center is in a great location and when it opened definitely was state of the art. Unfortunately it has become run down. Yes, the changing rooms have been updated and feel more country club than your average gym, but the equipment is past its prime. Even if it functioned as intended it looks antique. Upgrade the machines to bring it in line with less expensive gyms (the Y at white rock and LA fitness) and you have a leading edge facility. As is it falls way below expectations for the cost.
People who are saying this place is run down are dead wrong. Its super nice, the people are friendly. Showers and locker room are excellent and well appointed. Free locker with your own key each time you visit. Parking is ample and free. Pool was very clean and not crowded on a Saturday morning. Place is also huge and there are several out of the way places to exercise, little pockets of machines, mats, weights, etc, where you can exercise on your own if youre into that. Tons of free classes, plus super coffee, free orange juice and Wifi. This place is a winner all around, just like Coach Landry.
Will Not Stop Billing You.Even though they cannot provide basic services due to Covid, they continue to bill their members and will not stop after cancellation.
Great pool and clean. They have done a good job to avoid infection during this covid pandemic. However, several things happened to me that I would like to share to people who want to go back to tom landry fitness center at this moment. (1) I re-enrolled membership and reserved pool online (reservation system is ok). I went to front desk at the day for swimming. The lady was nice, check temperature and told me the route to pool and showed where I can change cloth. Locker and shower rooms are unavailable. Thats what I dont know when I re-joined. So I changed cloth in the the restroom of family room. And thats the only way man and woman enter to pool. (2) After swimming, I changed cloth in the same place. However, a lady stood in the outside when I opened the curtain. She was not polite and directly said I cant change in there. I told her a lady said I can. She said who is the lady told you? show me? I felt uncomfortable. Her way likes as a police to ask me. If this is the misconduct between this lady and me, that would be the management problem. Please dont let your customer feel unfairly treated!!! (3) Next day, I confirmed with front desk where I can change cloth before entering the pool. Yes, now as a woman you can only change your cloth in the restroom near the front desk (not in the inside of pool). (4) After swimming, while I was leaving, the lady yesterday who told me I cant change in the family room...she is keeping watch me to pass through the family room....I feel uncomfortable again!!! (5) So changed cloth in the restroom of outside pool is another question. The water is on the floor. So a nurse wanted to use the restroom and saw me out of the room and said is that urine?.............Well, I was speechless.I just wanted everyone know, I understand how this pandemic changed our life. But it doesnt mean you can treat your customers as this unpolite way.
Great staff, everyone is super helpful. All different types of physical fitness so no judgement. All around great place.
Love the health club itself with very helpful staff. The only reason I didn’t stay after my 2 week trial was because the machines were so old and rusty it was hard to get a good workout out of them. Specially not for the price you’re paying for this gym (~$75), I ended up going to a much smaller gym with better equipment for a third of that price.
Fantastic facilities, nice pools, locker rooms, saunas, though pretty much all the machines and barbells are a little rusty (though clean). Strange for a literal hospital. I think its due to the pool. Needs an additional deaflift platform and proper squat rack. Tons of classes, and the place is HUGE. Three stories. Its a relic of the early 90s, but in a cool way, and well taken care of. Expensive membership if youre only going to lift. Worth it though if you use all they have to offer. Never gets too busy. Mainly an older crowd.
Awful experience today in the 2 years I have been working out there. While working out with a buddy of mine, enjoying good conversation, sharing gym workouts, etc....a guy named JUSTIN approached us and demanded us to leave the facility. He said hey guys, theres no personal training allowed. I need yall to leave, now. Personal training?? Im sorry, what? My friend is 52, I am 29. This is CLEARLY an issue where Justin thought I was training an older gentleman. No, sir. We have been friends for over 3 years and we simply wanted to workout together today. Let me say this: JUSTIN HANDLED THE SITUATION VERY UNPROFESSIONALLY. Instead of approaching us saying something like hey guys, it looks like there is some training going on. If someone needs training, please consult with one of our certified personal trainers. I dont mind if you guys separate and continue your workouts. Instead, he approached us very aggressively, in a very authoritative, high-and-mighty tone, and demanded us to leave. Even when we suggested that we can split up if that solves the issue, He said no. My friend is the VP of the Dallas Mavericks and has been working out there since 1991. He said that guy handled this situation so poorly and aggressively. I would never allow a guy like this to work for me. Shame on Landry Center for hiring such an unprofessional employee.
I love Baylor hospital! Its always so clean and there is always someone to help find what youre looking for. They are very courteous. Also I discovered that they a recreational facility that includes a full gym, swimming pool, indoor track, dry and wet, saunas, extremely nice and clean locker rooms, plus they have a massage therapist and they have personal trainers, and different work out classes, and they give swimming lessons, and it is very clean. I was able to take a tour and fell in love with it. There is a enrollment fee of $150.00 then $200.00 which both can be refunded but, the membership fee every month is $85.00 a month for the basic package or The gold package for $90.00 for the gold package. I would really refer others to this place.
A very nice clean facility with a very convenient location. My dermatological surgeon offices here and I had a free pass to park in the very nice parking lot across the street.
Went here to visit Dallas Nephrology Clinic on the top floor. I could not find it on the directory at all. Instead, the whole building is a tribute to a football coach. I wasnt sure I came to the right place. But at least they let me sit down without throwing me out for vagrancy while I called to find out.
I have never received any communication from The Fitness Center in the two years that I have been a member.I particularly would have liked to have been informed of the closing of the facility as well as the opening!
It a good place to work out and meeting people. I enjoyed watching the team working out sometime. Everyones is very nicely theres and the area around. When I go do my physical therapy. Everyones friendnes.
Love this place
There are a lot of amenities available (indoor and outdoor tracks, two pools, underwater rehab treadmill (normally reserved), lots of machines/weights). Not the best layout, but you will be able to find almost anything you want.Lockers are included with membership (pick up key when you walk in, return when you leave). Showers, Wet/Dry sauna and hot tubs available. Most of the classes are geared towards the aging population so if you are looking to join specifically based on classes another place like LifeTime might be more suitable.Front Desk staff is always friendly (as well as the dressing room staff).
Club continued billing on frozen membership despite multiple communications to staff. Club does not respond to email communications and the phone systems go unanswered or to announcement recordings only.
Very good people very good at what they do.
They are very helpful to my beautiful wife, I used to go there for physical therapy. I love it.
So, if you are looking for a place with nice staff and warm atmosphere I definitely recommend Baylor Tom Landry Fitness Center.
Get allergy shots there
Best gym in Dallas without question. Huge gym with all the equipment you need. Never too crowded. Never have to wait long for someone to finish their sets. All ages, shapes, sizes, backgrounds. NO MEATHEADS. Proper 25m competition pool, with gutters, lane lines, backstroke flags and kept at 80 degrees. Clean locker rooms with towel service. Friendly staff.
Big gym with tons of equipment, indoor track, indoor pools, multiple class rooms and lots of different classes all day. Nice staff Altho theres little assistance with any billing issues. Is a quiet low key place tho. Very clean, giant very private lockers and showers. I love the gym.
I like Baylor Tom Landry did the fact they offer a wide variety of classes. Two swimming pools one thats a lap pool and one thats a warm exercise pool. Racquetball. TRX. Full Pilates center with reformers, Cadillac, and chair. Womens and mens lounge and change rooms with Lockers, tv, sofas, dry and wet saunas, and whirlpool. Gym equipment is kept in pretty good shape. What I dont like is that they tore out the outside park in walking trail. One of the few green spaces in downtown Dallas to make room for a parking lot. Very disappointing they put the building next to Tom Landry centers pool. I really think they could have done a better job, but they chose real estate over aesthetics and the place to meditate and walk or run outdoors in a beautiful setting.
The valet is super nice! So nice to go to appointments and not lose energy loading/unloading my wheelchair & bags. Even my service dogs adore working here with the warm welcome.
I used the lap pool. It was excellent. The showers were clean and provided towels shampoo and lotion. Free coffee in the ladies lounge.
Doing PT after back surgery. Very knowledgeable and patient therapist, Romala. Facility is impressive, but a tad overpriced compared to other PT visits at other Baylor Scott and White facilities. Other reviews mention parking as a problem, but I did not find it so.
Very good and helpful dr guo is awesome
This place cant be beat for the price, amenities, and the fact that its rarely crowded. That being said you have to deal with old people shaving in the steam room, blow drying their balls, and sitting across from you spread eagle with their junk out. Not sure at what age you think to yourself, not enough people have sat in my body hair and/or seen my balls up close and personal, but this place answers that question for you.
Front checking always friendly we appreciate be that . Cleaning staff always working hard to keep place spotless clean very well appreciate that having weekend family pool open is the reason for the membership thanks for all u do!!!
Blood sweat and tears... down 38 pounds since September. Thank you to the greatest namesake a gym ever had! Coach Landry ... theres a tear in my eye
Best hidden gym ever!!! Lots of space, no a holes there either. Very nice staff. Clean locker rooms and all the equipment works.
Spacious. Free parking. Clean.
The childrens aquatics program here is exceptional! It is the only place Ive ever found or even heard of that truly focuses on safety and skill for childrens swimming lessons while maintaining a fun and challenging environment.
OMG I love this place! I loved the huge swimming pool, Jacuzzi, steam room! I could spend all day there!
Got there early, was seen early. Everyone is always so very kind & courteous. Dr Koganti is awesome.
My fiancee has been trying to schedule a physical therapy appointment here for over a month, we have both left several voicemails, and we have not heard a peep. She is in near constant pain from her back, and her doctor gave her a prescription for this facility, which was faxed to them, and we still havent heard a word after a month of daily phone calls and voicemails. Unbelievable, great customer service.
For my family, Baylor Dallas is the best! I never hesitate to recommend these folks to anyone.
Okay facility. Its just very basic and for the membership price it isnt worth it. The classes cater to an aging population and the hours on the weekends are not long. The parking is free or rather included in the membership unlike the Y downtown. Still went with the Y because their equipment is newer and varied and class selection is better.
Love going here. The small heated pool is ideal for what I need. Recommend this place to anyone who asks me. 5*****!!
After having ankle surgery I went to rehab at this facility. The therapist was terrific. The reason I gave the Tom Landry Outpatient Physical Clinic 1 star is because of their extreme billing practices. Most of the time they double book the 1 hour session so youre NOT getting the therapists full attention. Being on crutches and not stable, during a one hour session I was charged $474.90 which included 10 minutes on the treadmill UNSUPERVISED while the therapist was with another patient. The last 10 minutes of the 1 hour session would entail icing the ankle (which I was doing at home) so in essence the therapy was 50 minutes. To be fair, the sessions were informative and helpful, but NOT at the prices and double bookings. I did not feel that I was a priority but another patient for billing purposes as evidenced by therapist continuously on the computer typing in billing codes. I brought my dismay to the facilitys management to no avail. My portion of the final bill was $988 after insurance which accounting did not even correctly itemized payments I made at time of service. Considering the facilitys continuous double booking and neglect during my sessions, I offered $500 which they did not accept. A friend who had a similar ankle break went to the Carrell Clinic for therapy where he was never double booked and if the therapist had extra time, they would go over the 1 hour session at no extra charge. Too bad I did not know that beforehand. Be sure to research other facilities for your rehab before choosing this one.
Staff was friendly and very transparent, I had to test a possible throat issue and they walked me through the test explaining everything as we went and it was a surprisingly entertaining experience though I hope I dont need one again haha.
Cardiac Rehab in the fitness center is the Best!
This place has everything I need. Im a DTS student so I get my membership that way. Great workout, spa, and locker room facilities.
Right people there to work with you for your health is concern
Pool closed for 2 weeks, now 3 weeks. They have raised the membership dues twice in the last 6 months. Facilities are nice when you can use them. Staff is friendly but no response to complaints.
The pool here is outstanding. I looked at several pools when I moved to Dallas (YMCA, etc.), and this one was by far the best. The staff are always professional and courteous, and the facilities are well maintained.
Good Rehab session in the Auquatics center. I wish there were more extra warm pools in more locations in Dallas. So helpful for osteoarthritis and spinal stenosis.
Clean, open areas, well maintained
Life enhancing therapy. Cannot recommend it highly enough. Superb therapists.
Best gym, no question, they have everything except a climbing wall, good monthly prices, no showoffs or creepy dudes that I have experienced, super clean locker rooms. Knowledgeable staff and trainers.
Wonderful, spacious workout facility with nice amenities.
I have been a member with the Landry Center for 23 years and up till the last year it was a great place to be a member. Last August they began a big remodel on the locker rooms. It took longer than expected, which is understandable, but such basic things such as plumbing & electric have still not been finished. The water pressure in the showers is iffy, the faucets and shower heads have not been replaced yet and the electrical strips go out on a regular basis. The most annoying thing is the response to all of this.........not much. When members try to lodge a complaint they get little or no response. In addition to all this dues went up $11 a month. My hope is that someone wakes up and changes the direction this is going.
The gym is large with lots of equipment and amenities however something is always out of service or not working. When comment cards are turned in there is rarely a response. The dues are quite high compared to other gyms but they keep increasing. The recent remodel did not do much to update the facility. The new management has changed things around the gym with no input from the members and the complaints fall of deaf ears.
Excellent staff and services! Madeline is the best therapist!
Great facility and awesome staff. Thanks, God Bless
Went for a procedure. Excellent staff. Was done quickly.
Absolutely love this gym. The staff is awesome and make everyone feel comfortable
Thats it it there to take my wife to the doctor very nice place very good service
The best place to get your heart back into shape
The physical therapist I had was wonderful. She helped me quite a bit.
Great place for physical therapy, equipment, talent, and personal attention. They go out of the way to help.
Great and wonderful atmosphere, professional staff, and the overall facilities was clean and very cozy with a touch of class
Really nice, clean and quiet place with luxurious amenities!
Nice was facility, but vending machines were outrageously priced.
This is a nice facility and there are very good doctors that work here
Good facility and they offer many free classes too
Did my PT after knee replacement.Aditi the therapist was world class & I will miss her pushing me to the edge, but not hurting me.
They R so nice when ever time I go
The best fitness place in the area.. country club style is a great feeling walking in and walking out from a hard work out
This is a awesome place, you see pictures of the most fantastic excellent coach of all times Tom Landry
Attentive caring people will get you on a path to wellness
Unpretentious gym. Incredibly well-equipped facilities but priced accordingly.
Very unresponsive staff.... sent an email to them to freeze the membership...took them over a month to take any action...wanted to cancel and get a refund....they dragged their feet on it for another month....and then they even charged my card even after i cancelled...!!!
Been a member for years, great gym and services
