I went to multiple mechanics for my AC leak, where they tried to replace and install parts that didn’t need replacement, and work that does not need to be done right away, and they all print out this long invoice trying to get you for every dollar. Not this place. They will literally fix what you want, and only what you want fixed. They will let you know what needs to be done soon or now. They A/C leak that they took care of shocked me, of how easy the fix was. And it’s because they are experienced mechanics. Not the ones who will try to do things from step 1 all the way to step 8 to get every dollar out of you, when all they need is to fix 5-8, because everything else is fine. All they had to do was find the leak, it was in the pipe that goes back to the rear. Cut it from both sides and connect a better pipe and secure threads from where it was cut off, and right there was the fix amongst some miner tweaks and damaged parts. Went from almost paying a thousand dollars, to a little less than half the price. I went back for my radiator, fair price and better service than the 8 other places I’ve been to. This is the shop. (Thanks to Moe and his team, my family and my co workers have a trusted mechanic to go to).

Fast efficient service

I towed my car to Lakewood European car care in hopes of my getting my vehicle running with paying as little as possible. Mike and Moe were very helpful and made sure my car was finished as quickly as possible. I had my car checked out and repaired very quickly and I was able to get my car back on the road quicker than I expected. I paid half of what I wouldve paid at any other shop and could not have been any happier. My car needed an AC compressor and a tensioner and I walked out paying less than $400. I could not be more satisfied.

I never trusted anybody to work on my 2016 Bmw 328i, but this place is amazing I love how their family are honest and they do great work on all my families cars. The owner Mike and his son Moe reminds of the old good days when you can trust a mechanic who gives good price and honest work. I was driving around lower greenville trying to find an air pump that worked after a cold front came into Dallas. Nothing was available until I pulled up to this spot! I got here right as they were closing up and Mo was kind enough to fill up my tires. Great customer service!

I never seen a mechanic who will helps you even if they were closing! I came 6:14pm they were Closing I saw a guy inside thought he was mad because I pulled up late but he actually came and asked me “everything okay” I said actually my car 🚗 is overheating but I live in Plano can you guys look at it? The gentleman was upset more than Me when he found that I live in Plano he even called his mechanic to come back and see if he can do anything quick..so my car needed a new thermostat and radiator cap, and coolant hose it was really late for the parts to get there..so the gentleman called his boss and I believe it was his father..he asked if he can leave my car outside and if he can give me a ride..when I heard him talking on the phone I was surprised that he willing to take me home which is in Plano even that he lives in Irving which is really far!! He took me home and save me a lot of money actually and the next morning he called me and asked if I needed a ride!!!! I definitely said no but he was like “please if I’m not pushing you too much if you say yes it’s not really a big deal so please if you don’t have a ride let me come pick you up” I was shocked that there’s still people nice like that!! Whatever I need for my car always go there and this’s the most trusted mechanic shop I’ve been to..I wish all business owners be like that.

I lived a few blocks from here and my trusty Toyota Camera died. They were courteous, quick to respond, reasonably priced, and fast. They get super busy though if you need some work done call early in the morning when their open. Awesome shop will definitely return.

OMG!!!! I really love Skillman Automotive!! My family told me about this place I was kinda scared at first because it’s a small shop and kinda old...this business been there since 1985 like my father mentioned and also said he been taking all his cars since 1990 and since then he never been to any other shop even his new land rover still takes it there. Wow this place is my favorite.

The quality of the work done on my car was impeccable and the service was even better, my car broke down on the side of the road and all it took was two phone calls to the shop and they got me with a tower (at my expense of course) and everything! You can see the genuine honesty when talking to the workers !

Best family mechanic shop owned!! Mike the owner is a really man and a hard worker. Ive been a customer since 1999 and they have been treating like family since then. i will not trust anyone else except them!!!

Went in to get an ac diagnostic done on my non-functional ac system. The diagnosis (of a busted compressor) was $90, a respectable price imo. As for the compressor replacement, they wanted $1,100 in parts and labor. This seemed a bit excessive to me, so I called around. Two other repair shops quoted me $750 and $800 for the same repair, with the same warranty Lakewood Texaco offered. Pretty unfair pricing if you ask me. I took my car to P V Auto Services instead.

My alternator needed to to be replaced and they were able to help me out on a good price and even offered me a ride home! Great customer service Ill definetly return agaun!

I dropped my truck off here last night. The man running the shop said they were too bush to do a simple oil change in the remaining hour of open business. But he said they would do it first thing if I left it. I left my truck overnight assuming it would be ready at 8:30 since they open at 8. When I finally showed up at 9:15 they still were yet to begin the oil change. This business is worthless. Stay away. The people who work here should not be trusted.
