In August 2021, I was looking for a reliable, knowledgeable and honest auto service shop and found Shaw’s was rated very high. When I explained the issue I was experiencing to Steve Shaw he knew of the cause. After a 42 point diagnostic test, which I appreciated, the test gave the status of my vehicles health and found the suspected cause. The tech took pictures of the problem area, was honest with repair needs and cost as well as performing a couple of preventive maintenance items that were due. Zach was patient with working with my schedule and kept me informed I highly recommend Shaw’s auto! I had a very positive experience and will use them for future repairs and maintenance. Yes the high online ratings are correct.

I needed to move some personal items from my storage unit & Shaws helped take care of my request for a ‘15 X 15’ truck witching 24 hours & reserved a time for me to pick it up. Everyone there is polite, kind & professional. The truck was reasonably priced, very clean & I appreciated their above & beyond efforts!

Shaw repaired an air conditioning leak and replaced my front struts and rear shocks. I bought the car used so now it’s riding better than ever and ac is working great. I thought it would take all day but it was ready by early afternoon. Well done.

Added hitch to 2019 Nissan Rouge so we could add a bike carrier. Hitch looks great and service was performed in about an hour and a half. Would use again!

If you want great service with above and beyond professionalism, then go to shaw auto care. They even checked in with me at a later date to make sure my car was still running well.

I brought my car in for the full synthetic special they advertised online.. Overall the communication could have been better but my car is running good & they got me out the door fast.. About 30mins so it was a good experience(:

My 2012 Honda Civic had a bad sensor and the light was reading check ABS system and check VSA system. Steve ran a diagnostic, replaced my sensor, and gave me an alignment. The price was very fair, he got it done quickly, and its been 5 days with no issues. He even followed up this morning to check on the vehicle! Thank you for excellent service!

Horrible company..highly recommend not to go

While in the area with my 86 yr old mother-in-law, we started having an issue with our muffler. There was no way we would have been able to get home(20 miles away) and I am unfamiliar of the Cuyahoga Falls area. I was very grateful that Steve Shaw & Shaw Auto Care was able to help me out! They were extremely friendly, & accommodating. Took our car right in to help us out! Steve was able to get us right back on the road and on our way home. We are very appreciative for your kindness, & expertise!

I went in for an estimate for repairs. They spent quite a bit of time diagnosing the issue. That, I admired.After getting my quote, which I thought has a lot higher than should be required, I decided to check out the price of parts online.Turns out that the job could cost out in numerous ways; depending on which level of parts are being used. He did not offer options to fit my needs. He gave me one choice.Even at retail cost, I could not find a match to his number for the cost of parts.It seems to me that he was simply trying to make a buck, rather than to encourage a new customer to make his place a go to for me.Being new to the area, I dont know much about the best places to go. This place fell short of my expectations.Enough said, B

I made an appointment with a live person took work off the day for the scheduled appointment to be told that they would not be able to put me in that day as the only guy that he claimed was there was standing around doing nothing smoking a cigarette

I will refer Shaw auto in a heartbeat. Steve has always gone above and beyond to help me with my vehicle. My husband and I just had the alternator replaced on our car and the service was great and the price was fair. I also went in again for something else and he looked at my car right away and was kind enough not to charge me. Overall, I will definitely be returning for future work on my vehicle.

I am very attached to my 15 year old car. The gear was stuck and it had a valve leak. A friend told me about their experience with Shaws and recommended I have it towed there. Shaws fixed my car in a timely manner, explained in detail what he did to repair it, and it has been running smooth every since. It turned out to cost less than the estimated price. Friendly service. Plus he gave me a very nice gift bag! I highly recommend Shaws.

I was told by another repair shop that I needed a water pump. Steves price for the water pump was better but after checking over my car, he told me I did not need a new water pump and just needed to purge some air in the line. This saved me couple hundred dollars and he did this all in a couple hours. I appreciate the honesty. I am very pleased and will be back for my next car repair.

Found out after having my Grandfather work on my car that they lied about my brakes being bad. They even sent me pictures of my brakes looking bad. But when my grandfather took them off they werent even the same brakes they took pictures of. They are ripping people off! Make sure you always get a second opinion! We used to always use this place and after that we will never go again! My trust is totally broken!

We were in from out of town and had car trouble on a Sunday morning. Shaw Auto helped get our car repaired and we got on our way. Very nice folks and we greatly appreciated their taking care of us! Thank you!

I am only leaving a single star because I was treated poorly by the manager on the phone. I called in with a question about some paperwork and they refused to help me and ultimately ended hanging up on me! I was shocked that a business, especially a business with a long standing in the community would ever intentionally hang up on a customer! I called back immediately to speak with the same individual and they let my call go directly to voicemail and did not return my call.I wish I could give zero stars because of the completely rude, unprofessional, unwilling attitude I received from the manager.I do not know if he was just unwilling to listen to a womans complaint, or if he was embarrassed that him or his staff made a mistake or if he was just having a bad day. But there is NO excuse to hang up on an individual like he did. Shame on him!

Told me the wrong info on what needed to be done to my car

Went here for a power steering leak. Told the person on the phone exactly what the problem was and that I was just looking for a quote on the repair because while I normally do all of my own work I dont have a lift to make the job easier and didnt think I had the tools needed for the repair. Dropped it off and went to a movie. After the movie went back to see what they found out and the guy asked who told me that the problem was what I said it was. I told him no one told me and that I looked myself and saw it leaking. Guy tried to tell me I was flat out wrong and the entire power steering rack would need replaced to fix the problem and then quoted me something like $1,200 and then had the nerve to charge me a diagnostic fee for nothing (and I say nothing because I went out to the car and it was not only exactly where I parked it, but the tape and flex seal I put on the leaking tube was exactly where I left it). I then went home, jacked the car up and pulled the leaking tube off myself with a pair of vise grips and then took it to Advance Auto Parts where they sold it for $20. I only regret not going back in and shoving the old tube in his face asking if it cost $1200 to replace that.

Rip off shop beware! Also Steve the owner is very rude and not willing to help... He tried to charge me $1200 to fix my heating and cooling - what a joke!! I took my car to a different place and they fixed the issue for a third of the price...
