I have been going to Mccreadys for over 15 years. They are honest, knowledgeable, and are very reasonable in the prices they charge. In regards to the one star review, Jeffrey McCready will not give quotes over the phone like other mechanics because he has integrity. Other shops will promise any price over the phone because they know that once they have your car, they can charge anything they want. The nerve of some people to try to ruin a dependable, hardworking, family business over a 30 second phone call.

Jeffrey and Dad and all the mechanics here are the very best in Cuyahoga Falls. Over 50 years of grease under their fingernails means they know what theyre doing. If a garage is neat and tidy...THEY AINT BUSY! Here-They do it right and honest. Ive known Jeff since childhood. Hes a great guy who will tell it to you straight and I love that! DONT PASS THIS PLACE UP FOR ANOTHER!Ive had our family cars here many times and never been let down. Again- a Straight shooter. He sold me some of the best tires as well! Goodjob guys.

Twice now Ive gone to mccreadys and the service has always been very professional and fair. They even offered me a ride to my apartment which I was very grateful for (considering the wind chill was -24 degrees). Sometimes it takes a couple days before you can bring your car in for routine maintenence, but if its an emergency theyll try to see you right away

Bad attitude, expensive. Made me monkeying for 2 days to get a simple job done. I still feel a grinding noise from the front engine splash guard repair. This is the second time I went for the same issue. Go to some other professional repair stores.

These guys are wonderful. They tell me the truth, even if it means they dont make a repair. When they do, its fixed right or they make it right! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

You wont find better mechanics (or better guys) than the McCreadys. Ive been taking my cars there for 10 years.. Theyll do everything they can to give you a fair deal. I cant begin to count how much money Ive saved by going there. Places like this are a dying breed. No commission sales, no fancy waiting room. Just a deep understanding of cars and how they work.

Tried to get help but Jeffrey McCready was extremely disrespectful and unprofessional. I would NEVER go there again. In asking for his help he quickly got confrontational and said that I was trying to tell him how to do his job. What a jerk. Then he hung up on me. What type of person does business like that? A terrible one! STAY AWAY!!

If I could give a negative star I would. I took my van to them to do some work as well as a new tire. 4 days later that tire they replaced fell off as I was driving on Rt 8. So their work totalled my van. Never going there again

These two, Hal, and his venerable sidekick, son Jeffrey, are TRULY some of the most honest and decent people--much less mechanics--you will ever meet. Really! Of course, Ive only beem taking my cars to them since 1991, so maybe Im making a snap judgment;-)Lemme tell you a story that, although seemingly unbelievable, is actually the truth: My Toyota Camry needed a new muffler, so I took it into McCreadys. Jeffrey says, Liz, thenearest Toyota dealership is running a $139 special, and Im sorry but we cant match that.(Jeffrey knew I was all but broke at the time.) Besides, he said, the dealership will give you a lifetime warranty. So I got my muffler fixed at the Toyota place.Well, not even 2 years later, my muffler was kaput AGAIN. Took it to the dealership, and they said they had no record of my muffler installation, and therefore could not honor the lifetime warranty. (My copy had blown the car window a few months before.) I tried arguing to no.avail.With no other option, I decided to take it elsewhere and pay for the damn repair. I immediately drove to McCreadys, which is only a few miles away down Rte. 59 from this particular dealership.But Jeffrey remembered VERY well that he had sent me to the dealership. In fact, he remembered all the important details: when Id gotten it fixed. why hed even sent me there, and the fact that I had a lifetime warranty on the mufflerJeffrey was visibly upset w/the crooks at the dealership. He urged me to fight friendly w/them. I said I tried but it simply didnt work.He said, Ok.Ok, Liz, Ill take care of this. When can you bring your car in? I told him anytime after 2 pm the next day. He had a sly smirk on his face, as he so often does, so I just said Ok, too, and ignored his facial expression;-)By the time I got home, my phone was ringing. It was Jeffrey. He said hed callled over to the dealership for a muffler part for my car, and when he did, the dealership said it had realized its error and badly wanted me to come back in so they could make things right.I asked if they gave him.an appt.time and he said, Yes, they say they can do it anytime after 2pm tomw.Now you and I both know that Jeffrey pushed those dishonest, scummy men at the dealership to.do the right thing, Not only is he an honest and moral businessman. he expects others to be, too.

I have done business with them for over 10 years, and I agree with all of the other posters. They are not always the cheapest but everything is done in a professional manner. I dont recall ever having to take the car back for rework.
